In this communication, the first nonelectrocatalysis-type hydrogen peroxide electrochemical sensor is reported. The electroactive iron(III) diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA-FeIII) complex is immobilized on the cysteamine (cys) modified nanoporous gold (NPG) films by covalent method. The immobilized DTPA-FeIII complex quickly communicates an electron with the electrode. Upon addition of hydrogen peroxide, however, hydrogen peroxide inhibits the direct electron transfer of the DTPA-FeIII complex due to the generation of nonelectroactive DTPA-FeIII–H2O2 complex. Based on quenching mechanism, the first hydrogen peroxide electrochemical sensor based on a nonelectrocatalytic mechanism is developed. The novel hydrogen peroxide electrochemical sensor has the ultralow detection limit (1.0 × 10–14 M) and wide linear range (1.0 × 10–13 to 1.0 × 10–8 M) with excellent reproducibility and stability.  相似文献

Prussian blue nanowire array (PBNWA) was prepared via electrochemical deposition with polycarbonate membrane template for effective modification of glassy carbon electrode. The PBNWA electrode thus obtained was demonstrated to have high-catalytic activity for the electrochemical reduction of hydrogen peroxide in neutral media. This enabled the PBNWA electrode to show rapid response to H2O2 at a low potential of −0.1 V over a wide range of concentrations from 1 × 10−7 M to 5 × 10−2 M with a high sensitivity of 183 μA mM−1 cm−2. Such a low-working potential also substantially improved the selectivity of the PBNWA electrode against most electroactive species such as ascorbic acid and uric acid in physiological media. A detection limit of 5 × 10−8 M was obtained using the PBNWA electrode for H2O2, which compared favorably with most electroanalysis procedures for H2O2. A biosensor toward glucose was then constructed with the PBNWA electrode as the basic electrode by crosslinking glucose oxidase (GOx). The glucose biosensor allowed rapid, selective and sensitive determination of glucose at −0.1 V. The amperometric response exhibited a linear correlation to glucose concentration through an expanded range from 2 × 10−6 M to 1 × 10−2 M, and the response time and detection limit were determined to be 3 s and 1 μM, respectively.  相似文献

In this report, a highly sensitive amperometric sensor based on MnO2-modified vertically aligned multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MnO2/VACNTs) for determination of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) was fabricated by electrodeposition. The morphology of the nanocomposite was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometer and X-ray diffraction. Cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy were applied to investigate the electrochemical properties of the MnO2/VACNTs nanocomposite electrode. The mechanism for the electrochemical reaction of H2O2 at the MnO2/VACNTs nanocomposite electrode was also discussed. In borate buffer (pH 7.8, 0.20 M), the MnO2/VACNTs nanocomposite electrode exhibits a linear dependence (R = 0.998) on the concentration of H2O2 from 1.2 × 10−6 M to 1.8 × 10−3 M, a high sensitivity of 1.08 × 106 μA M−1 cm−2 and a detection limit of 8.0 × 10−7 M (signal/noise = 3). Meanwhile, the MnO2/VACNTs nanocomposite electrode is also highly resistant towards typical inorganic salts and some biomolecules such as acetic acid, citric acid, uric acid and d-(+)-glucose, etc. In addition, the sensor based on the MnO2/VACNTs nanocomposite electrode was applied for the determination of trace of H2O2 in milk with high accuracy, demonstrating its potential for practical application.  相似文献

The electrocatalytic activity of a CuO flower-like nanostructured electrode was investigated in terms of its application to enzyme-less amperometric H2O2 sensors. The CuO nanoflowers film was directly formed by chemical oxidation of copper foil under hydrothermal condition and then used as active electrode material of non-enzymatic electrochemical sensors for H2O2 detection under alkaline conditions. The sensitivity of the sensor with CuO nanoflowers electrode was 88.4 μA/mM cm2 with a linear response in the range from 4.25 × 10−5 to 4 × 10−2 M and a detection limit of 0.167 μM (S/N = 3). Excellent electrocatalytic activity, large surface-to-volume ratio and efficient electron transport property of CuO nanoflowers electrode have enabled stable and highly sensitive performance for the non-enzymatic H2O2 sensor.  相似文献

In this paper, an enzyme-free amperometric electrochemical sensor was fabricated by casting Nafion-impregnated Cu2O particles onto a glassy carbon electrode. A dual dependence of peak current on sweeping rate, which can be attributed for the accumulation of reaction products, was observed on the sensor. Electrochemical analysis of the particulate Cu2O for detecting H2O2 and glucose is described, showing remarkable sensitivity in both cases. The estimated detection limits and sensitivities for H2O2 (0.0039 μM, 52.3 mA mM−1 cm−2) and glucose (47.2 μM, 0.19 mA mM−1 cm−2) suggest that the response for H2O2 detection was much higher than for glucose detection. Electron microscopy observation suggested that the hierarchical structures of Cu2O resulting from self-assembly of nanocrystals are responsible for the specific electrochemical properties.  相似文献

Some nanostructures are reported to possess enzyme-mimetic activities similar to those of natural enzymes. Herein, highly-dispersed Pt nanodots on Au nanorods (HD- PtNDs@AuNRs) with mimetic peroxidase activity were designed as an active electrode modifier for fabrication of a hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) electrochemical sensor. The HD-PtNDs@AuNRs were synthesized by a seed-mediated growth approach and confirmed by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and UV–vis spectroscopy. The electrochemical and catalytical performances of HD-PtNDs@AuNRs towards H2O2 reduction were investigated in detail by cyclic voltammetry and amperometry. The HD-PtNDs@AuNRs modified electrode displayed a high catalytic activity to H2O2 at −0.10 V (versus SCE), a rapid response within 5 s, a wide linear range of 2.0–3800.0 μM, a detection limit of 1.2 μM (S/N = 3), and a high sensitivity of 181 μA mM−1 cm−2. These results suggested a promising potential of fabricating H2O2 electrochemical sensor using HD- PtNDs@AuNRs.  相似文献

A simple and reliable one-pot approach was established for the development of a novel hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) biosensor based on in situ covalent immobilization of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) into biocompatible material through polysaccharide-incorporated sol-gel process. Siloxane with epoxide ring and trimethoxy anchor groups was applied as the bifunctional cross-linker and the inorganic resource for organic-inorganic hybridization. The reactivity between amine groups and epoxy groups allowed the covalent incorporation of HRP and the functional biopolymer, chitosan (CS) into the inorganic polysiloxane network. Some experimental variables, such as mass ratio of siloxane to CS, pH of measuring solution and applied potential for detection were optimized. HRP covalently immobilized in the hybrid matrix possessed high electrocatalytic activity to H2O2 and provided a fast amperometric response. The linear response of the as-prepared biosensor for the determination of H2O2 ranged from 2.0 × 10−7 to 4.6 × 10−5 mol l−1 with a detection limit of 8.1 × 10−8 mol l−1. The apparent Michaelis-Menten constant was determined to be 45.18 μmol l−1. Performance of the biosensor was also evaluated with respect to possible interferences. The fabricated biosensor exhibited high reproducibility and storage stability. The ease of the one-pot covalent immobilization and the biocompatible hybrid matrix serve as a versatile platform for enzyme immobilization and biosensor fabricating.  相似文献

In this paper, a novel electrochemiluminescence (ECL) imaging sensor array was developed for determination of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), which was based on Cu/Zn alloy galvanic cell generated ECL. In alkaline solution, Cu/Zn galvanic cell was formed because of corrosion effect, the galvanic cell could supply stable potential for ECL generation of luminol, and the weak ECL emission could be enhanced by H2O2. The galvanic cell sensor array was designed by putting Cu/Zn alloy in 96-well microtiter plates separately. The relative ECL intensity was proportional with the concentration of hydrogen peroxide in the range of 1.0 × 10−6 to 1.0 × 10−4 mol l−1 and the detection limit was 3.0 × 10−7 mol l−1 (3σ), the relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) for 11 parallel measurements of 1.0 × 10−5 mol l−1 H2O2 was 4.0%.  相似文献

A novel strategy to fabricate hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) sensor was developed based on multi-wall carbon nanotube/silver nanoparticle nanohybrids (MWCNT/Ag nanohybrids) modified gold electrode. The process to synthesize MWCNT/Ag nanohybrids was facile and efficient. In the presence of carboxyl groups functionalized multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) were in situ generated from AgNO3 aqueous solution and readily attached to the MWCNTs convex surfaces at room temperature, without any additional reducing reagent or irradiation treatment. The formation of MWCNT/Ag nanohybrids product was observed by transmission electron microscope (TEM), and the electrochemical properties of MWCNT/Ag nanohybrids modified gold electrode were characterized by electrochemical measurements. The results showed that this sensor had a favorable catalytic ability for the reduction of H2O2. The resulted sensor could detect H2O2 in a linear range of 0.05-17 mM with a detection limit of 5 × 10−7 M at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3. The sensitivity was calculated as 1.42 μA/mM at a potential of −0.2 V. Additionally, it exhibited good reproducibility, long-term stability and negligible interference of ascorbic acid (AA), uric acid (UA), and acetaminophen (AP).  相似文献

A novel cobalt-tetraphenylporphyrin/reduced graphene oxide (CoTPP/RGO) nanocomposite was prepared by a π–π stacking interaction and characterized by ultraviolet–visible absorption spectroscopy (UV–vis), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The CoTPP/RGO nanocomposite exhibited high electrocatalytic activity both for oxidation and reduction of H2O2. The current response was linear to H2O2 concentration with the concentration range from 1.0 × 10−7 to 2.4 × 10−3 mol L−1 (R = 0.998) at the reductive potential of −0.20 V and from 1.0 × 10−7 to 4.6 × 10−4 mol L−1 (R = 0.996) at the oxidative potential of +0.50 V. The H2O2 biosensor showed good anti-interfering ability towards oxidative interferences at the oxidative potential of +0.50 V and good anti-interfering ability towards reductive interferences at the reductive potential of −0.20 V.  相似文献

A double electrochemical covalent coupling method based on click chemistry and diazonium chemistry for the fabrication of sensitive amperometric immunosensor was developed. As a proof-of-concept, a designed alkyne functionalized human IgG was used as a capture antibody and a HRP-labeled rabbit anti-goat IgG was used as signal antibody for the determination of the anti-human IgG using the sandwich model. The immunosensor was fabricated by electrochemically grafting a phenylazide on the surface of a glassy carbon electrode, and then, by coupling the alkyne functionalized human IgG with the phenylazide group through an electro-click chemistry in the presence of Cu(II). The amperometric measurement for the determination of the anti-human IgG was performed after the fabricated immunosensor was incubated with the target anti-human IgG and then with the HRP-labeled anti-goat IgG at −0.25 V in 0.10 M PBS (pH 7.0) containing 0.1 mM hydroquinone and 2.0 mM H2O2. The results showed that the increased current was linear with the logarithm of the concentration of the anti-human IgG in the range from 1.0 × 10−10 g mL−1 to 1.0 × 10−8 g mL−1 with a detection limit of 3 × 10−11 g mL−1. Furthermore, the feasibility of the double electrochemical covalent coupling method proposed in this work for fabricating the amperometric immunosensor array was explored. This work demonstrates that the double electrochemical covalent coupling method is a promising approach for the fabrication of the immunosensor and immunosensor array.  相似文献

By oxidative coupling polymerization of the imidic macromonomer of oligoaniline and p-phenylenediamine we have prepared an electroactive polyimide, exhibiting exciting molecular structure, electrochemical properties and excellent thermal stability. The polymerization characteristics and structure of the electroactive polyimide were systematically studied by Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectra and X-ray powder diffraction (XRD). Electrochemical activity of the polyimide was tested in 1.0 M H2SO4 aqueous solution and it shows two redox peaks, which is the same as that of polyaniline. Moreover, the thermal properties of the polyimide were evaluated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Its electrical conductivity is about 8.87 × 10−6 S cm−1 at room temperature upon preliminarily protonic-doped experiment.  相似文献

Hemoglobin (Hb) was entrapped in a titania sol-gel matrix and used as a mimetic peroxidase to construct a novel amperometric biosensor for hydrogen peroxide. The Hb entrapped titania sol-gel film was obtained with a vapor deposition method, which simplified the traditional sol-gel process for protein immobilization. The morphologies of both titania sol-gel and the Hb films were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and proved to be chemically clean, porous, homogeneous. This matrix provided a biocompatible microenvironment for retaining the native structure and activity of the entrapped Hb and a very low mass transport barrier to the substrates. H2O2 could be reduced by the catalysis of the entrapped hemoglobin at −300 mV without any mediator. The reagentless H2O2 sensor exhibited a fast response (less than 5 s) and sensitivity as high as 1.29 mA mM−1 cm−2. The linear range for H2O2 determination was from 5.0×10−7 to 5.4×10−5 M with a detection limit of 1.2×10−7 M. The apparent Michaelis-Menten constant of the encapsulated hemoglobin was calculated to be 0.18±0.02 mM. The stability of the biosensor was also evaluated.  相似文献

BiFeO3 magnetic nanoparticles (BFO MNPs) are used as a catalyst to develop an ultrasensitive method for the determination of H2O2. It is found that BFO MNPs can catalyze the decomposition of H2O2 to produce OH radicals, which in turn oxidize the weakly fluorescent benzoic acid to a strongly fluorescent hydroxylated product with a maximum emission at 405 nm. This makes it possible to sensitively quantify traces of H2O2. Under optimized conditions, the fluorescence intensity is observed to be well linearly correlated with H2O2 concentration from 2.0 × 10−8 to 2.0 × 10−5 mol L−1 with a detection limit of 4.5 × 10−9 mol L−1 (S/N = 3). In addition, a selective method for glucose determination is developed by using both glucose oxidase and BFO MNPs, which has a linear range for glucose concentration from 1.0 × 10−6 to 1.0 × 10−4 mol L−1 with a detection limit of 5.0 × 10−7 mol L−1. These new methods have been successfully applied for the determination of H2O2 in rainwater and glucose in human serum samples.  相似文献

Direct electrochemistry of hemoglobin (Hb) is observed at carbon nanotube (CNT) interface. The adsorbing Hb can transfer electron directly at CNT interface compared with common carbon material. The heterogeneous electron transfer rate constant k of Hb can be calculated as 0.062 s−1, the transfer coefficient α is 0.21 and the average surface coverage of Hb on CNT surface is 3.58 × 10−9 ± 2.7 × 10−10 mol/cm2. It is found that the adsorbing Hb still keeps its catalytic activity to H2O2. This sensor was used to detect H2O2. The apparent Michaelis-Menten constant is calculated as 6.75 × 10−4 mol L−1.  相似文献

Fabrication and application of a voltammetric sensor based on gold 2-mercaptobenzothiazole self-assembled monolayer (Au-MBT SAM) for determination of silver ion is described. Preliminary experiments were performed to characterize the monolayer. The surface pKa determined for the MBT monolayer is 7.0. This value was obtained by impedimetric titration of the monolayer in the presence of Fe(CN)63−/4− as a redox probe. The extent of surface coverage was evaluated as 1.52 × 10−9 mol cm−2 based on charged consumed for reductive desorption of the monolayer in the 0.50 M NaOH solution. Then the sensor was used for determination of Ag(I) by square wave voltammetry. The parameters affecting the sensor response, such as pH and supporting electrolyte, were optimized. A dynamic calibration curve with two linear parts was obtained in the concentration ranges of 5 × 10−8-8 × 10−7 and 1 × 10−6-1 × 10−5 M of Ag(I). The detection limit adopted from cathodic striping square wave voltammetry was as 1 × 10−8 M for n = 7. Furthermore, the effect of potential interfering ions on the determination of Ag(I) was studied, and an appropriate method was used for the elimination of this effect.  相似文献

Recent progress in flexible and lightweight electrochemical sensor systems requires the development of paper-like electrode materials. Here, we report a facile and green synthesis of a new type of MnO2 nanowires–graphene nanohybrid paper by one-step electrochemical method. This strategy demonstrates a collection of unique features including the effective electrochemical reduction of graphene oxide (GO) paper and the high loading of MnO2 nanowires on electrochemical reduced GO (ERGO) paper. When used as flexible electrode for nonenzymatic detection of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), MnO2–ERGO paper exhibits high electrocatalytic activity toward the redox of H2O2 as well as excellent stability, selectivity and reproducibility. The amperometric responses are linearly proportional to H2O2 concentration in the range 0.1–45.4 mM, with a detection limit of 10 μM (S/N = 3) and detection sensitivity of 59.0 μA cm−2 mM−1. These outstanding sensing performances enable the practical application of MnO2–ERGO paper electrode for the real-time tracking H2O2 secretion by live cells macrophages. Therefore, the proposed graphene-based nanohybrid paper electrode with intrinsic flexibility, tailorable shapes and adjustable properties can contribute to the full realization of high-performance flexible electrode material used in point-of-care testing devices and portable instruments for in-vivo clinical diagnostics and on-site environmental monitoring.  相似文献

A water-dispersible multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) derivative, MWCNTs-1-one-dihydroxypyridine (MWCNTs-Py) was synthesis via Friedel–Crafts chemical acylation. Raman spectra demonstrated the conjugated level of MWCNTs-Py was retained after this chemical modification. MWCNTs-Py showed dual hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and glucose detections without mutual interference by adjusting pH value. It was sensitive to H2O2 in acidic solution and displayed the high performances of sensitivity, linear range, response time and stability; meanwhile it did not respond to H2O2 in neutral solution. In addition, this positively charged MWCNTs-Py could adsorb glucose oxidase (GOD) by electrostatic attraction. MWCNTs-Py-GOD/GC electrode showed the direct electron transfer (DET) of GOD with a pair of well-defined redox peaks, attesting the bioactivity of GOD was retained due to the non-destroyed immobilization. The high surface coverage of active GOD (3.5 × 10−9 mol cm−2) resulted in exhibiting a good electrocatalytic activity toward glucose. This glucose sensor showed high sensitivity (68.1 μA mM−1 cm−2) in a linear range from 3 μM to 7 mM in neutral buffer solution. The proposed sensor could distinguish H2O2 and glucose, thus owning high selectivity and reliability.  相似文献

A new concept for the electrochemical detection of hydrogen peroxide, and organic hydroperoxides is presented. One advantage of the significance of this technique is that it does not require chemical modification of the electrode or addition of enzymes. Direct electro-reduction of the peroxides was not observed on the carbon disk electrode as it is a kinetically slow process. Redox cycling of the iron complex is apparent as FeIIEDTA rapidly reduces the O-O bond of the peroxides (Fenton Reaction) upon its production by the kinetically facile electro-reduction of FeIIIEDTA. This provides an enhanced and steady-state reductive current as observed by cyclic voltammetry. These features are indicative of the electrocatalytic (EC′) mechanism. A calibration curve was constructed based on the chronoamperometric response at 32 s and a detection limit for H2O2 and t-butyl hydroperoxide was calculated to be 0.4 μM and 20 µM, respectively. This difference is attributable to the rate in which the iron(II) complex reduces the O-O bond, H2O2 (2.3 × 105 M− 1 s− 1) being faster than for the organic peroxide (5.1 × 104 M− 1 s− 1). The FeIIEDTA complex was observed to be unreactive toward dialkyl peroxides. This method may find use in the detection of peroxide-based explosives or in enzymatic assays as it is rapid, simple, inexpensive and should prove to be robust.  相似文献
