A high‐order difference method based multiphase model is proposed to simulate nonlinear interactions between water wave and submerged coastal structures. The model is based on the Navier–Stokes equations using a constrained interpolation profile (CIP) method for the flow solver, and employs an immersed boundary method (IBM) for the treatment of wave–structure interactions. A more accurate interface capturing scheme, the volume of fluid/weighed line interface calculation (VOF/WLIC) scheme, is adopted as the interface capturing method. A series of computations are performed to verify the application of the model for simulations of fluid interaction with various structures. These problems include flow over a fixed cylinder, water entry of a circular cylinder and solitary waves passing various submerged coastal structures. Computations are compared with the available analytical, experimental and other numerical results and good agreement is obtained. The results of this study demonstrate the accuracy and applications of the proposed model to simulate the nonlinear flow phenomena and capture the complex free surface flow. A horizontally variable density flow model is used to simulate hydraulic bore interactions with idealised urban obstacles. The 2D non-linear shallow water equations are solved using a second-order Monotonic Upstream-centered Schemes for Conservation Laws-Hancock Godunov-type HLLC approximate Riemann scheme. Validation test results are reported for wave propagation over a hump, a constant-density circular dam break and two 1D dam breaks involving different spatial distributions of solute concentration. Detailed parameter studies are then considered for hydraulic bore interactions with single and multiple-square obstacles under subcritical, critical and supercritical flow conditions. In all cases, reflected and diffracted wave patterns are generated immediately after the bore impacts the obstacle(s). Later, the incident bore reconstitutes itself downstream of the obstacle(s). Variable density flows are also considered, with the upstream volumetric concentrations set to values corresponding to water–sediment mixture densities of 1165 and 1495 kg/m3. It is found that the upstream Froude number, gap spacing between obstacles and upstream to downstream density difference influence the strength of the bore–structure interaction, run-up at the front face of the obstacle(s), and subsequent wave–wave interactions.  相似文献

Shock wave structure in a bubbly mixture composed of a cluster of gas bubbles in a quiescent liquid with initial void fractions around 10% inside a 3D rectangular domain excited by a sudden increase in the pressure at one boundary is investigated using the front tracking/finite volume method. The effects of bubble/bubble interactions and bubble deformations are, therefore, investigated for further modeling. The liquid is taken to be incompressible while the bubbles are assumed to be compressible. The gas pressure inside the bubbles is taken uniform and is assumed to vary isothermally. Results obtained for the pressure distribution at different locations along the direction of propagation show the characteristics of one-dimensional unsteady shock propagation evolving towards steady-state. The steady-state shock structures obtained by the present direct numerical simulations, which show a transition from A-type to C-type steady-state shock structures, are compared with those obtained by the classical Rayleigh–Plesset equation and by a modified Rayleigh–Plesset equation accounting for bubble/bubble interactions in the mean-field theory.   相似文献

斜爆轰推进系统在高超声速推进领域具有广阔的应用前景,其释热迅速、比冲高、燃烧室结构简单的优点吸引研究人员的持续关注.然而,斜爆轰的地面试验同时涉及到高速试验环境模拟、燃料与氧化剂混合、高温燃烧流场结构测量等技术难点,当前国内外系统的试验研究仍然十分有限,难以支撑斜爆轰发动机的研制.为了研究自持传播的斜爆轰激波结构与波面流动特性,基于爆轰驱动二级轻气炮开展了高速弹丸诱导斜爆轰实验研究,使用直径30 mm球头圆柱形弹丸发射进入充满氢/氧可燃混合气体的实验舱中以起爆斜爆轰波,并采用两种阴影技术对实验流动结构进行测量.实验中在不同速度、不同充气压力下观察到三种弹丸诱导激波结构,即激波诱导燃烧、弹丸起爆爆轰波和相对弹丸驻定的斜爆轰波,实验舱充气压力下降则会造成爆轰横波尺度增加与波面流动失稳.实验中,斜爆轰激波角与理论分析结果吻合较好,弹丸气动不稳定带来较大的弹丸攻角会对激波角测量带来一定偏差.通过对斜爆轰波波面法向传播速度的测量发现,随着远离弹丸,斜爆轰传播速度由弹丸飞行速度衰减至接近实验气体CJ速度,弹丸速度的降低会加速斜爆轰波传播速度的衰减.  相似文献

The instabilities of a three-dimensional sinusoidally premixed flame induced by an incident shock wave with Mach = 1.7 and its reshock waves were studied by using the Navier–Stokes(NS) equations with a single-step chemical reaction and a high resolution, 9th-order weighted essentially non-oscillatory scheme. The computational results were validated by the grid independence test and the experimental results in the literature. The computational results show that after the passage of incident shock wave the flame interface develops in symmetric structure accompanied by large-scale transverse vortex structures. After the interactions by successive reshock waves, the flame interface is gradually destabilized and broken up, and the large-scale vortex structures are gradually transformed into small-scale vortex structures. The small-scale vortices tend to be isotropic later.The results also reveal that the evolution of the flame interface is affected by both mixing process and chemical reaction. In order to identify the relationship between the mixing and the chemical reaction, a dimensionless parameter, η, that is defined as the ratio of mixing time scale to chemical reaction time scale, is introduced. It is found that at each interaction stage the effect of chemical reaction is enhanced with time.The enhanced effect of chemical reaction at the interaction stage by incident shock wave is greater than that at the interaction stages by reshock waves. The result suggests that the parameter η can reasonably character the features of flame interface development induced by the multiple shock waves.  相似文献

The breakup of a liquid droplet induced by a high speed gas stream is a typical multiphase flow problem. The shock/droplet interaction is the beginning stage of the droplet breakup. Therefore, investigation of the shock/droplet interactions would be a milestone for interpreting the mechanism of the droplet breakup. In this study, a compressible multiphase solver with a five-equation model is successfully developed to study shock/water column interactions. For code validation, interface-only, gas–gas shock tube, and gas–liquid shock tube problems are first computed. Subsequently, a planar shock wave interacting with a water column is simulated. The transmitted wave and the alternative appearances of local high- and low-pressure regions inside the water column are observed clearly. Finally, a planar shock wave interacting with two water columns is investigated. In this work, both horizontal and vertical arrangements of two water columns are studied. It is found that different arrangements can result in the diversity of the interacting process. The complex flow structures generated by shock/water column interactions are presented by flow-visualization techniques.   相似文献

The response of submerged structures to an underwater shock wave involves both structural and fluid behaviour. For sandwich structures the response to an initial shock wave in the transverse direction is significantly different from that of a homogeneous structure. This is due to the elastic properties of the core in the sandwich. For a homogeneous structure one cavitation zone is initially developed and the position of this zone is dependent on the assumed cavitation pressure. At a sandwich structure two cavitation zones initially appear, one adjacent to the structure and another away from the structure, depending again on the assumed cavitation pressure. The response of a sandwich panel in the transverse direction is also investigated, using a combination of a numerical method and finite elements, developed for the fluid–structure interaction problem. The method includes the appearance of cavitation in the fluid, it is found that, as the sandwich section is moving, the faces in the sandwich oscillate about the core. The nonlinear properties of the faces give rise to considerable transverse strain which may very well be high enough to cause delamination in the faces, debonding between the faces and the core, or core failure.  相似文献

利用ANSYS/LS-DYNA非线性显式动力有限元程序和流固耦合计算方法,对炸药在地下拱形结构上方岩石中垂直爆炸过程进行数值模拟,借助波动理论p-u Hugoniot线对爆炸冲击波在围岩与结构之间的传播和加卸载过程进行理论分析;得到了不同跨度拱形结构与围岩之间的最大相互作用力及相互作用力分布图。研究结果表明:冲击波由高阻抗围岩向低阻抗混凝土传播时,围岩卸载,应力减小;反向传播时,岩石加载,应力增大;爆距为5 m时爆炸冲击波对40 m跨度拱形结构整体产生拉压震荡,引起的震动效应显著。  相似文献

Attenuation of weak shock waves along pseudo-perforated walls   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
In order to attenuate weak shock waves in ducts, effects of pseudo-perforated walls were investigated. Pseudo-perforated walls are defined as wall perforations having a closed cavity behind it. Shock wave diffraction and reflection created by these perforations were visualized in a shock tube by using holographic interferometer, and also by numerical simulation. Along the pseudo-perforated wall, an incident shock wave attenuates and eventually turns into a sound wave. Due to complex interactions of the incident shock wave with the perforations, the overpressure behind it becomes non-uniform and its peak value can locally exceed that behind the undisturbed incident shock wave. However, its pressure gradient monotonically decreases with the shock wave propagation. Effects of these pseudo-perforated walls on the attenuation of weak shock waves generated in high speed train tunnels were studied in a 1/250-scaled train tunnel simulator. It is concluded that in order to achieve a practically effective suppression of the tunnel sonic boom the length of the pseudo-perforation section should be sufficiently long. 以喷管出口欠膨胀射流为研究对象,在Lagrange坐标系下建立欠膨胀射流二维积分形式的流动方程。通过在单元交接面处进行三阶ENO(essentially nonoscillatory)格式插值,构造得到一种适用于求解该方程的三阶ENO有限体积法。采用该格式对一维Sod激波管算例和喷管出口欠膨胀射流进行数值计算。计算结果表明,该方法具有高精度、基本无振荡的特点,能很好地捕捉包含激波、滑移线以及三波交点等复杂流场波系结构。计算得到的波系结构中马赫盘的位置与实验结果吻合很好,相对误差小于1.1%。  相似文献

本文综述了关于激波和湍流相互作用数值模拟的近期研究进展, 主要包括激波和均匀各向同性湍流、激波和湍流边界层、激波和射流以及激波和尾迹的相互作用. 激波和湍流相互作用特性受到诸多因素的影响,如激波的强度、位置、形状和流动边界以及来流的湍流状态和可压缩性等. 激波和湍流的相互作用会引起流场结构、激波特性和湍流统计特性的显著变化. 最后简要讨论了激波和湍流相互作用数值研究需要关注的一些问题.   相似文献

Two waves are studied using perturbation analysis for their interactions in an one-dimensional periodic structure with quadratic nonlinearity. A first-order multiple-scales analysis along with numerical simulations on the full chain are used to understand the interaction of two waves when one is the sub- or super-harmonic of the other. The strength of quadratic nonlinearity affects the rate at which the energy is exchanged between the two waves. Depending on parameters and energy states, the interactions between the waves are periodic or whirling and result in quasi-periodic combined propagating waves with either phase drifts or weakly phase-locking properties. The analysis suggests the possibility of the existence of emergent wave harmonics. Due to quadratic nonlinearity, a very small amplitude subharmonic or superharmonic wave mode can drift in its phase, and then burst out with a larger amplitude as it circumnavigates a separatrix. Depending on the parameters and wave numbers, the amplitude of this emergent wave burst can have varying significance.  相似文献

Evolution of coherent structures and their interaction dynamics are educed in the near field of an acoustically excited basic annular jet using conditional sampling technique based on a multiple triggering criterion to detect the two dominating modes of structure pattern. Acoustic excitation is applied with an aim to better organize the phase alignment of initial rolling and pairing process in the outer shear layer. Negligible modification of the time-averaged flow field results from the excitation. The educed coherent vorticities show that the two modes of evolution are due to the corresponding two modes of shedding pattern of the wake structures from the centerbody, namely the mode one wake and the mode zero wake. In both modes, the shear-layer mode jet vortex rings in the outer layer are perturbed by the shedding of wake structures in the inner region and interaction involving primary merging of three successive jet vortex rings or their partial circumferential sections is found. This results in the formation of wake-induced structures of the corresponding mode pattern, which possesses concentration of coherent vorticity and fluid circulation over a large spatial extent at 1 < x/D < 2. Secondary interactions, such as vortex tearing, are also observed.  相似文献

This paper studies the wave based active vibration control of a membrane antenna structure. The membrane antenna structure studied in this paper has a great prospect in aerospace engineering. First, the dynamic model of the membrane antenna structure is established based on the finite element method. Then, based on the hypothesis of modal excitation mechanism, a wave-based controller is designed using the wave attenuation method. This method does not depend on the wave transfer function of the structure, so it can be applied to structures with complex shapes and boundaries. At last, the validity of the presented controller is verified through numerical simulations. Simulation results indicate that the dynamic behavior of the membrane antenna structure shows obvious wave characteristics; the presented controller can suppress the vibration of the structure effectively through holding back the formation of standing waves, and better control effect can be obtained when the actuators are placed near to the excitation point.  相似文献

The vibration modelling of waveguide structures is considered. These structures comprise waveguides connected via joints. Traditionally, analytical models of the wave behaviour of such structures can be developed if they are simple (beams or rods connected at point joints, etc.). However, if the waveguides are of complicated constructions (truss-like, layered media, etc.) or the joints are complicated (e.g. of significant physical dimensions), obtaining the wave characteristics might be a formidable task. In this paper, such structures are modelled using a hybrid finite element/wave and finite element (FE/WFE) approach. The waveguides are modelled using the WFE method and thus their wave characteristics are obtained regardless of the complexity of their cross-section. The joints are modelled using standard FE, and the WFE and FE models are coupled to yield the scattering properties of the joints. The propagation and scattering models are assembled to describe the behaviour of the structure using relatively small models, while also providing information for other applications such as structure-borne sound, statistical energy analysis, etc. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the approach.  相似文献

The possibility of associating the notion of quasi-particles with elastic wave modes is explored for three basic models of generalized continua: strain-gradient model (weak nonlocality), elasticity with a microstructure such as in Cosserat/micropolar materials, and a true nonlocal model involving the long-range interactions in the underlying crystal lattice. In each case a simplified one-dimensional model is considered. Approximate solutions involving small parameters and exhibiting scale effects are obtained for the Newtonian-like motion of associated quasi-particles. Interpretation for alternate wave-like and quasi-particle-like behaviors is given.  相似文献

In the present study systematic photographic investigations were performed of detonation interactions with foams and wire meshes lining the channel walls. An initial cellular detonation wave was propagating along a damping section (acoustic absorbing walls) which removed the transverse waves associated with its cellular structure. In some cases the wave had failed and a fast deflagration wave (a shock followed by a decoupled flame) was obtained and propagated at about half the C-J detonation speed. The events were studied photographically using a high speed framing camera and smoked foils.  相似文献

Pressure vessels usually operate under extremes of high/low temperatures and high pressures. Defect, such as crack and corrosion, can result in leakage or rupture failures, even catastrophic incidents. Guided wave-based structural health monitoring (SHM) technology is one of the most prominent options in non-destructive evaluation and testing (NDE/NDT) techniques. Propagation of guided waves in a typical pressure vessel is systematically investigated in this study for the application of guided wave-based SHM. Shape of the pressure vessel is a cylinder with two end caps. Because of geometric similarity, theory of guided wave propagation in the cylinderical structure is analyzed to study dispersive features of guided waves in the pressure vessel. Dispersion curves of three different types of guided wave modes, viz. the longitudinal, torsional and flexural modes, are calculated using theoretical method. Based on the analyses and experimental wave signals, central frequency and wave parameters of incident wave are optimized. Effect of contained liquid on propagation of guided waves, especially the L(0, 2) mode, in the pressure vessel is further investigated to minimize energy leakage of the wave to the contained liquid. The analytical method, finite element analysis (FEA) and experiments are applied to study propagation characteristics of guided waves in the pressure vessel, so as to demonstrate the feasibility of guided wave-based non-destructive evaluation and testing (NDE/NDT) for such kind of complex structures.  相似文献

空化流动具有高度的压缩性,空化流动非定常特性及其流体动力与压缩性密切相关.为研究可压缩空化流动空泡脱落的回射流和激波机制下周期性空穴结构演化及其诱导流体动力特性,本文采用多场同步测试方法对典型云状空化流动进行了实验研究,获得了文丘里管扩张段内部云状空化空穴形态演化及其诱导同步壁面压力脉动信号.并基于数字图像处理技术,对附着型片状空穴和脱落型云状空穴结构演化进行了精细化定量分析.结果表明:可压缩空化流动回射流机制下,空穴演化呈现附着型空穴生长$\!$-$\!$-$\!$回射流产生及发展$\!$-$\!$-$\!$附着型空穴失稳断裂及大尺度空泡云团产生脱落的非定常过程,激波机制下空穴演化具有附着型空穴生长$\!$-$\!$-$\!$激波产生及传播$\!$-$\!$-$\!$附着型空穴失稳断裂及大尺度空泡云团脱落的非定常特征,激波传播时间占空穴脱落周期小于回射流推进.激波与空穴相互作用导致空穴内部含气率瞬间大范围大幅度下降,诱导复杂流体动力.激波传播过程中,空泡内部压力脉动大幅增加,激波前缘诱导压力脉冲,而回射流推进过程中,壁面压力脉动相对平稳,回射流头部存在小幅增加. 不同机制下空穴结构存在显著差异,具有不同的相间质量传输过程.   相似文献
