The kinematic viscosity ν for (ethane-1,2-diol  +  1,2-dimethoxyethane  +  water) was measured at 14 different ternary compositions covering the whole miscibility field, and at 19 temperatures in the range 263.15 ⩽T /  K 353.15. The experimental values were fitted using empirical equations of the type ν = ν (T) and ν = ν (xi), respectively, in order to provide reliable models to account for the behaviour of the system. The excess kinematic viscosity νEhas been determined and interpreted in terms of the type and nature of the interactions among the components of the mixture. Using the experimental ν data, the thermodynamic properties ( ΔG * , ΔH * ,ΔS *  ) of the viscous flow have been obtained from the Eyring’s approach and standard thermodynamic equations. Furthermore, excess mixing functions, such asΔG * E , have been determined, and found to evidence the existence of quite strong specific interactions among the components, probably due to the formation of hydrogen bonds and dipolar networks. However, all the calculated excess mixing properties suggest the absence of stable three-component adducts.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of the rate constant of the inversion substitution reactions CH3X + O2 → CH3O2? + X? (X = SH, NO2), can be expressed as k = 6.8 × 10–12(T/1000)1.49exp(–62816 cal mol–1/RT) cm3 s–1 (X = SH) and k = 6.8 × 10–12(T/1000)1.26 × × exp(–61319 cal mol–1/RT) cm3 s–1 (X = NO2), as found with the use of high-level quantum chemical methods and the transition state theory.  相似文献

We studied the photochromism of a newly synthesized ionic liquid, [2PA-Bmim]Tf2N ([2PA-Bmim]+: 3-butyl-1-methyl-2-phenylazoimidazolium, Tf2N?: bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)-amide) which is characterized by a phenylazo group substituted on the imidazolium ring. The melting point of [2PA-Bmim]Tf2N is 329 K. The absorption spectrum of [2PA-Bmim]+ dissolved in conventional organic solvents or in ionic liquids changes drastically upon UV-light irradiation, which is attributed to the photoisomerization of the phenylazo group from E- to Z-forms during irradiation and the backward thermal isomerization from Z- to E-forms in the dark. The E–Z photoisomerization quantum yield, Φiso, was determined by 355 nm laser photolysis. The Φiso value slightly depends on solvent viscosity, from 0.12 in 3-butyl-1-methylimidazolium PF6? (η = 241 cP) to 0.19 in toluene (η < 1 cP). On the other hand, no solvent dependence was observed for Arrhenius parameters of the backward Z–E thermal isomerization. We discuss the isomerization mechanism and the reason why the E–Z photoisomerization yield depends on solvent viscosity.  相似文献

In adiabatic low-pressure and dynamic calorimeters the temperature dependence of the standard molar heat capacity Cp, moof dibenzo- p -dioxin and 1,2,3,4-tetrachlorodibenzo- p -dioxin have been determined at temperatures in the range T =  5 K to T =  490 K: from T =  5 K to T =  340 K with an accuracy of about 0.2 per cent and with an accuracy of 0.5 per cent to 1.5 per cent between T =  340 K and T =  490 K. The temperatures, enthalpies, and entropies of melting of the above compounds have been determined. The experimental data were used to calculate the thermodynamic functions Cp, mo / R, Δ0THmo / (R·K), Δ0TSmo / R, and Φmo = Δ0TSmo  Δ0THmo / T(where R is the universal gas constant) in the range T   0 to T =  490 K. The isochoric heat capacity CV, mof both dioxins has been estimated over the range T   0 to Tfus. The effect of substitution of four hydrogen atoms by chlorine atoms on the lattice and atomic components of the isochoric heat capacity was considered.  相似文献

Density and ultrasound speed were measured accurately for diglycine + water, triglycine + water, diglycine + water-polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG400) and triglycine + water-PEG400 solutions at T = (293.15, 298.15, 303.15 and 308.15) K. The results were used in evaluating thermodynamic properties as apparent molar volumes (VØ) and apparent molar isentropic compressions (K) of diglycine and triglycine in water and in PEG400 solutions. Infinite dilution values of these parameters, VoØ, and Ko, were obtained from their plots as a function of molality by extrapolation and have been utilized in obtaining transfer volumes and transfer compressions at infinite dilution. All transfer volumes and transfer compressions were found to increase with increasing molality of PEG400. Apparent molar isobaric expansions were derived from the temperature dependence of VØ values at infinite dilution and at finite concentrations. All the results were interpreted in terms of solute (diglycine or triglycine) and co-solute (PEG400) and solvent (H2O) interactions.  相似文献

The fluorescence spectrum of all-trans-β-carotene was recorded at 170 K. The 1Bu+  1Ag fluorescence exhibited clear vibrational structures constituting a mirror image with those of the 1Bu+  1Ag absorption, and the deconvolution of the entire spectrum identified the 2Ag(0)  1Ag(0) transition at 14 500 cm−1. The displacements of the 1Bu+ and 2Ag potential minima along ν1 and ν2 (the CC stretching and C–C stretching normal coordinates, respectively) were determined to be 1.2 and 0.9, and 1.6 and 1.5, respectively. Thus, much larger potential displacements in the 2Ag state than in the 1Bu+ state have been shown.  相似文献

Two C–O stretching hot bands, (ν1 + 2ν3)  2ν3 and (2ν1 + ν3)  (ν1 + ν3), of the CCO radical in the ground electronic state were measured. These hot bands are red shifted by approximately 70 cm−1 compared to the C–O stretching fundamental. CCO was produced in a discharge through a flowing mixture of carbon suboxide and helium. The spectra were recorded using a diode laser spectrometer. The band origins were determined to be 1904.32512(62) and 1902.69130(56) cm−1 for (ν1 + 2ν3)  2ν3 and (2ν1 + ν3)  (ν1 + ν3), respectively. The measurements in this band together with previously reported frequencies in the C–C and C–O stretching regions were analysed to determine harmonic frequencies and anharmonicity constants.  相似文献

Twenty-three different Rh complexes of the (NHC)RhCl(cod) and (NHC)RhCl(CO)2 type were synthesized from [RhCl(cod)]2. The electron donating nature of the NHC ligands was changed in a systematic manner. The redox potentials of the various (NHC)RhCl(cod) and the ν(CO) of the various (NHC)RhCl(CO)2 were determined. A correlation of the Rh redox potentials and the Rh ν(CO), respectively, with the related data from analogous (NHC)IrCl(cod) and (NHC)IrCl(CO)2 complexes established two linear relationships. The linear regression (R2 = 0.993) of the Rh and the Ir redox potentials results in an equation for the redox potential transformation: E1/2(Ir) = 1.016 · E1/2(Rh) ? 0.076 V. The linear regression (R2 = 0.97) of the Rh and Ir νav(CO) results in an equation for the νav(CO) transformation: νav(CO)Ir = 0.8695 · νav(CO)Rh + 250.7 cm?1. In this manner the Rh and the Ir-scale for the determination of the electron donating properties of NHC ligands are unified.  相似文献

Photodegradation of 4-nitrophenol (4-Np) in the presence of zinc tetrasulfophthalocyanine (ZnPcS4), zinc octacarboxyphthalocyanine (ZnPc(COOH)8) and a sulfonated ZnPc containing a mixture of differently sulfonated derivatives (ZnPcSmix), as photocatalysts is reported. ZnPcSmix is the most effective catalyst in terms of a high quantum yield for 4-Np degradation and the stability of the catalyst. However ZnPc(COOH)8 degrades readily during the catalysis, but it has a higher quantum yield (Φ4-Np) for 4-Np degradation than the rest of the complexes. The Φ4-Np values were closely related to the singlet oxygen quantum yields ΦΔ and hence aggregation. The rate constants for the reaction with 4-Np were kr = 0.67 × 106 mol−1 dm3 s−1 for ZnPcSmix and 2.8 × 108 mol−1 dm3 s−1 for ZnPc(COOH)8.  相似文献

The chemical potentials of CaO in two-phase fields (TiO2 + CaTiO3), (CaTiO3 + Ca4Ti3O10), and (Ca4Ti3O10 + Ca3Ti2O7) of the pseudo-binary system (CaO + TiO2) have been measured in the temperature range (900 to 1250) K, relative to pure CaO as the reference state, using solid-state galvanic cells incorporating single crystal CaF2 as the solid electrolyte. The cells were operated under pure oxygen at ambient pressure. The standard Gibbs free energies of formation of calcium titanates, CaTiO3, Ca4Ti3O10, and Ca3Ti2O7, from their component binary oxides were derived from the reversible e.m.f.s. The results can be summarised by the following equations: CaO(solid) + TiO2(solid)  CaTiO3(solid), ΔG° ± 85/(J · mol?1) = ?80,140 ? 6.302(T/K); 4CaO(solid) + 3TiO2(solid)  Ca4Ti3O10(solid), ΔG° ± 275/(J · mol?1) = ?243,473 ? 25.758(T/K); 3CaO(solid) + 2TiO2(solid)  Ca3Ti2O7(solid), ΔG° ± 185/(J · mol?1) = ?164,217 ? 16.838(T/K).The reference state for solid TiO2 is the rutile form. The results of this study are in good agreement with thermodynamic data for CaTiO3 reported in the literature. For Ca4Ti3O10 Gibbs free energy of formation obtained in this study differs significantly from that reported by Taylor and Schmalzried at T = 873 K. For Ca3Ti2O7 experimental measurements are not available in the literature for direct comparison with the results obtained in this study. Nevertheless, the standard entropy for Ca3Ti2O7 at T = 298.15 K estimated from the results of this study using the Neumann–Koop rule is in fair agreement with the value obtained from low-temperature heat capacity measurements.  相似文献

Quantum rotations of NH3 groups in Hofmann clathrates Ni–Ni–C6H6 and Ni–Ni–C12H10 have been studied using inelastic neutron scattering. Calculations of the dynamical structure factor for a free uniaxial quantum rotor reproduce the neutron scattering data with respect to their Q- and T-dependence as well as the relative intensities for the 0  1, 0  2 and 1  2 transitions. Though the effective NH3 rotation constant is different from the gas phase value, the effective radius of rotation (i.e., the average distance of protons from the rotation axis) is equal or very close to the geometrical value r = 0.94 Å for a NH3 group. Comparing the experimental data with the calculated dynamical structure factor for the 0  3 transition it could be shown, that the corresponding transition line, in contrast to transitions between j = 0,1,2 levels measured so far, has a finite width at T = 0 K.  相似文献

Reactions of Be2+ and Mg2+ with O2– in molten eutectic mixture (CsCs + KCl + NaCl) (0.455:0.245:0.30) at T = 783 K were studied by a potentiometric method using Pt(O2)|ZrO2(Y2O3) indicator electrode. Addition of O2– ions to the melt containing Mg2+ results in precipitation of MgO (pKs,MgO = 11.89 ± 0.3, molality) whereas interaction of Be2+ with O2– is accompanied with sequential formation of Be2O2+ (pK = 15.68 ± 0.5, molality) and precipitation of BeO (pKs,BeO = 9.62 ± 0.3, molality). On the basis of the obtained and known data pKs,MgOT−1 dependence in molten (CsCs + KCl + NaCl) eutectic is constructed. The slope of the said dependence in T/K = (from 583 to 1073) range is in good agreement with the value predicted by the Shreder equation, that extends the range of use of the Shreder equation for predictions of metal oxide solubilities in molten halides.  相似文献

Microcalorimetry, spectrophotometry, and high-performance liquid chromatography (h.p.l.c.) have been used to conduct a thermodynamic investigation of the glutathione reductase catalyzed reaction {2 glutathionered(aq) + NADPox(aq)=glutathioneox(aq) + NADPred(aq)}. The reaction involves the breaking of a disulfide bond and is of particular importance because of the role glutathionered plays in the repair of enzymes. The measured values of the apparent equilibrium constant K for this reaction ranged from 0.5 to 69 and were measured over a range of temperature (288.15 K to 303.15 K), pH (6.58 to 8.68), and ionic strength Im (0.091 mol · kg−1 to 0.90 mol · kg−1). The results of the equilibrium and calorimetric measurements were analyzed in terms of a chemical equilibrium model that accounts for the multiplicity of ionic states of the reactants and products. These calculations led to values of thermodynamic quantities at T=298.15 K and Im=0 for a chemical reference reaction that involves specific ionic forms. Thus, for the reaction {2 glutathionered(aq) + NADPox3−(aq)=glutathioneox2−(aq) + NADPred4−(aq) + H+(aq)}, the equilibrium constant K=(6.5±4.4)·10−11, the standard molar enthalpy of reaction ΔrHom=(6.9±3.0) kJ · mol−1, the standard molar Gibbs free energy change ΔrGom=(58.1±1.7) kJ · mol−1, and the standard molar entropy change ΔrSom=−(172±12) J · K−1 · mol−1. Under approximately physiological conditions (T=311.15 K, pH=7.0, and Im=0.25 mol · kg−1 the apparent equilibrium constant K≈0.013. The results of the several studies of this reaction from the literature have also been examined and analyzed using the chemical equilibrium model. It was found that much of the literature is in agreement with the results of this study. Use of our results together with a value from the literature for the standard electromotive force Eo for the NADP redox reaction leads to Eo=0.166 V (T=298.15 K and I=0) for the glutathione redox reaction {glutathioneox2−(aq) + 2 H+(aq) + 2 e=2 glutathionered(aq)}. The thermodynamic results obtained in this study also permit the calculation of the standard apparent electromotive force E′o for the biochemical redox reaction {glutathioneox(aq) + 2 e=2 glutathionered(aq)} over a wide range of temperature, pH, and ionic strength. At T=298.15 K, I=0.25 mol · kg−1, and pH=7.0, the calculated value of E′o is −0.265 V.  相似文献

As part of an ongoing study of titanate-based ceramic materials for the disposal of surplus weapons-grade plutonium, we report thermodynamic properties of a sample ofzirconium titanate (ZrTiO4) quenched from a high-temperature synthesis. The standard enthalpy of formationΔfHmo was obtained by using high-temperature oxide-melt solution calorimetry. The molar heat capacity Cp, mwas measured fromT =  13 K to T =  400 K in an adiabatic calorimeter and extrapolated toT =  1800 K by using an equation fitted to the low-temperature results. The results atT =  298.15 K areΔfHmo =   (2024.1  ±  4.5)kJ · mol  1,Δ0TSmo =  (116.71  ±  0.31 )J · K  1· mol  1, andΔfGmo =   (1915.8  ±  4.5 )kJ · mol  1; the molar entropy includes a contribution of 2 R ln2 to account for the random mixing of Zr4 + and Ti4 + on a four-fold crystallographic site. Values for the standard molar Gibbs energies and enthalpies of formation of ZrTiO4,ΔfGmoandΔfHmo , and for the free energies and enthalpies for the reaction to form ZrTiO4(cr) from ZrO2(cr) and TiO2(cr), are tabulated over the temperature interval, 0 (T / K) 1800. From these results, we conclude that ZrTiO4is not stable with respect to (ZrO2 +  TiO2) at T =  298.15 K, but becomes so at T =  (1250  ±  150) K.  相似文献

Thermodynamic properties of Mg(NH2)2 and LiNH2 were investigated by measurements of NH3 pressure-composition isotherms (PCI). Van’t Hoff plot of plateau pressures of PCI for decomposition of Mg(NH2)2 indicated the standard enthalpy and entropy change of the reactions were ΔH° = (120 ± 11) kJ · mol?1 (per unit amount of NH3) and ΔS° = (182 ± 19) J · mol?1 · K?1 for the reaction: Mg(NH2)2  MgNH + NH3, and ΔH° = 112 kJ · mol?1 and ΔSo = 157 J · mol?1 · K?1 for the reaction: MgNH  (1/3)Mg3N2 + (1/3)NH3. PCI measurements for formation of LiNH2 were carried out, and temperature dependence of plateau pressures indicated ΔH° = (?108 ± 15) kJ · mol?1 and ΔS° = (?143 ± 25) J · mol?1 · K?1 for the reaction: Li2NH + NH3  2LiNH2.  相似文献

The reaction ClONO2+HCl  Cl2+HNO3 on ice surfaces was investigated using a fast flow reactor coupled to a chemical ionization mass spectrometer. Rough and relatively smooth ice surfaces and single-crystal ice particles were employed to investigate the effect of the different surface morphologies on the reaction mechanism. Large reaction probabilities (γ>0.1), independent of HCl partial pressure in the range from 2×10−7 to 8×10−6 Torr, were measured on these three ice surfaces. These results are consistent with an ionic reaction mechanism involving HCl solvation on a liquid-like surface layer.  相似文献

To obtain reliable thermodynamic data for Na2S(s), solid-state EMF measurements of the cell Pd(s)|O2(g)|Na2S(s), Na2SO4(s)|YSZ| Fe(s), FeO(s)|O2(g)ref| Pd(s) were carried out in the temperature range 870 < T/K < 1000 with yttria stabilized zirconia as the solid electrolyte. The measured EMF values were fitted according to the equation Efit/V (±0.00047) = 0.63650  0.00584732(T/K) + 0.00073190(T/K) ln (T/K). From the experimental results and the available literature data on Na2SO4(s), the equilibrium constant of formation for Na2S(s) was determined to be lg Kf(Na2S(s)) (±0.05) = 216.28  4750(T/K)−1  28.28878 ln (T/K). Gibbs energy of formation for Na2S(s) was obtained as ΔfG(Na2S(s))/(kJ · mol−1) (±1.0) = 90.9  4.1407(T/K) + 0.5415849(T/K) ln (T/K). By applying third law analysis of the experimental data, the standard enthalpy of formation of Na2S(s) was evaluated to be ΔfH(Na2S(s), 298.15 K)/(kJ · mol−1) (±1.0) = −369.0. Using the literature data for Cp and the calculated ΔfH, the standard entropy was evaluated to S(Na2S(s), 298.15 K)/(J · mol−1 · K−1) (±2.0) = 97.0.  相似文献

Electrolytic conductivities of some alkali metal halides, MX (M+ = Li+, Na+, and K+; X? = Cl?, Br?, and I?), NaBPh4 and Bu4NBr have been investigated in (20, 40, and 60) mass% {dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) in DMSO + acetonitrile} at T = 298.15 K. The conductance results have been analyzed by the Fuoss-conductance-concentration equation in terms of the limiting molar conductance Λ° the association constant KA and the association diameter R. The ionic contributions to the limiting molar conductance have been estimated using Bu4NBPh4 as the “reference electrolyte”. The association constant KA tends to increase in the order mass percent 20 < 40 < 60 DMSO in (DMSO + acetonitrile) which is explained by the thermodynamic parameter ΔG° and Walden product Λ°η. The results have been interpreted in terms of ion–solvent interactions and structural changes in the mixed solvents.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of the standard molar heat capacity Cp, moof samples of crystalline tetraphenylphosphonium perchlorate and tetraphenylarsonium perchlorate was measured in an adiabatic low-pressure calorimeter between T =  4.8 K and T =  340 K and from T =  5.8 K to T =  340 K, respectively, mostly to within a precision of 0.2 per cent. For tetraphenylphosphonium perchlorate, an anomalous change of the heat capacity in the range T =  125 K to T =  185 K, probably arising from the excitation of hindered rotations of atomic groups, was found and its thermodynamic characteristics were determined. No such anomaly was observed for tetraphenylarsonium perchlorate. The data obtained were used to calculate the thermodynamic functions Cp, mo(T) / R, Δ0THmo / R·K, Δ0TSmo / R, and Φmo = Δ0TSmo  Δ0THmo / T(where R is the universal gas constant) of the compounds between T   0 and T =  340 K.  相似文献
