The purpose of this paper is to investigate differential properties of a class of set-valued maps and gap functions involving Minty vector variational inequalities. Relationships between their contingent derivatives are discussed. An explicit expression of the contingent derivative for the class of set-valued maps is established. Optimality conditions of solutions for Minty vector variational inequalities are obtained.  相似文献

In this article, we intend to study several scalar-valued gap functions for Stampacchia and Minty-type vector variational inequalities. We first introduce gap functions based on a scalarization technique and then develop a gap function without any scalarizing parameter. We then develop its regularized version and under mild conditions develop an error bound for vector variational inequalities with strongly monotone data. Further, we introduce the notion of a partial gap function which satisfies all, but one of the properties of the usual gap function. However, the partial gap function is convex and we provide upper and lower estimates of its directional derivative.  相似文献

In this article, by using the image space analysis, a gap function for weak vector variational inequalities is obtained. Its lower semicontinuity is also discussed. Then, these results are applied to obtain the error bounds for weak vector variational inequalities. These bounds provide effective estimated distances between a feasible point and the solution set of the weak vector variational inequalities.  相似文献

In this paper, the image space analysis is applied to investigate scalar-valued gap functions and their applications for a (parametric)-constrained vector variational inequality. Firstly, using a non-linear regular weak separation function in image space, a gap function of a constrained vector variational inequality is obtained without any assumptions. Then, as an application of the gap function, two error bounds for the constrained vector variational inequality are derived by means of the gap function under some mild assumptions. Further, a parametric gap function of a parametric constrained vector variational inequality is presented. As an application of the parametric gap function, a sufficient condition for the continuity of the solution map of the parametric constrained vector variational inequality is established within the continuity and strict convexity of the parametric gap function. These assumptions do not include any information on the solution set of the parametric constrained vector variational inequality.  相似文献

In this paper, (, ,Q)-invexity is introduced, where :X ×X intR m + , :X ×X X,X is a Banach space,Q is a convex cone ofR m . This unifies the properties of many classes of functions, such asQ-convexity, pseudo-linearity, representation condition, null space condition, andV-invexity. A generalized vector variational inequality is considered, and its equivalence with a multi-objective programming problem is discussed using (, ,Q)-invexity. An existence theorem for the solution of a generalized vector variational inequality is proved. Some applications of (, ,Q)-invexity to multi-objective programming problems and to a special kind of generalized vector variational inequality are given.The author is indebted to Dr. V. Recently Auchmuty (1989) has introduced a new class of merit functions, or optimization formulations, for variational inequalities in finite-dimensional space. We develop and generalize Auchmuty's results, and relate his class of merit functions to other works done in this field. Especially, we investigate differentiability and convexity properties, and present characterizations of the set of solutions to variational inequalities. We then present new descent algorithms for variational inequalities within this framework, including approximate solutions of the direction finding and line search problems. The new class of merit functions include the primal and dual gap functions, introduced by Zuhovickii et al. (1969a, 1969b), and the differentiable merit function recently presented by Fukushima (1992); also, the descent algorithm proposed by Fukushima is a special case from the class of descent methods developed in this paper. Through a generalization of Auchmuty's class of merit functions we extend those inherent in the works of Dafermos (1983), Cohen (1988) and Wu et al. (1991); new algorithmic equivalence results, relating these algorithm classes to each other and to Auchmuty's framework, are also given.Corresponding author.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a new system of generalized vector variational inequalities with variable preference. This extends the model of system of generalized variational inequalities due to Pang and Konnov independently as well as system of vector equilibrium problems due to Ansari, Schaible and Yao. We establish existence of solutions to the new system under weaker conditions that include a new partial diagonally convexity and a weaker notion than continuity. As applications, we derive existence results for both systems of vector variational-like inequalities and vector optimization problems with variable preference.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish some results which exhibit an application of convexificators in vector optimization problems (VOPs) and vector variational inequaities involving locally Lipschitz functions. We formulate vector variational inequalities of Stampacchia and Minty type in terms of convexificators and use these vector variational inequalities as a tool to find out necessary and sufficient conditions for a point to be a vector minimal point of the VOP. We also consider the corresponding weak versions of the vector variational inequalities and establish several results to find out weak vector minimal points.  相似文献

Under the condition that the involved function F is locally Lipschitz, but not necessarily differentiable, we investigate the regularized gap function defined by a generalized distance function for the variational inequality problem (VIP). First, we compute exactly the Clarke-Rockafellar directional derivatives of the regularized gap functions (and of some modified ones). Second, using these results, we show that, under the strongly monotonicity assumption, the regularized gap functions have fractional exponent error bounds, and thereby we provide an algorithm of Armijo type to solve the VIP.  相似文献

In this article, we consider the general forms of Stampacchia and Minty type vector variational inequalities for bifunctions and establish the existence of their solutions in the setting of topological vector spaces. We extend these vector variational inequalities for set-valued maps and prove the existence of their solutions in the setting of Banach spaces as well as topological vector spaces. We point out that our vector variational inequalities extend and generalize several vector variational inequalities that appeared in the literature. As applications, we establish some existence results for a solution of the vector optimization problem by using Stampacchia and Minty type vector variational inequalities.  相似文献

In this paper, we employ the image space analysis to investigate an inverse variational inequality (for short, IVI) with a cone constraint. By virtue of the nonlinear scalarization function commonly known as the Gerstewitz function, three nonlinear weak separation functions, two nonlinear regular weak separation functions and a nonlinear strong separation function are first introduced. Then, by these nonlinear separation functions, theorems of the weak and strong alternative and some optimality conditions for IVI with a cone constraint are derived without any convexity. In particular, a global saddle-point condition for a nonlinear function is investigated. It is shown that the existence of a saddle point is equivalent to a nonlinear separation of two suitable subsets of the image space. Finally, two gap functions and an error bound for IVI with a cone constraint are obtained.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

We study the inverse problem of identifying a variable parameter in variational and quasi-variational inequalities. We consider a quasi-variational inequality involving a multi-valued monotone map and give a new existence result. We then formulate the inverse problem as an optimization problem and prove its solvability. We also conduct a thorough study of the inverse problem of parameter identification in noncoercive variational inequalities which appear commonly in applied models. We study the inverse problem by posing optimization problems using the output least-squares and the modified output least-squares. Using regularization, penalization, and smoothing, we obtain a single-valued parameter-to-selection map and study its differentiability. We consider optimization problems using the output least-squares and the modified output least-squares for the regularized, penalized and smoothened variational inequality. We give existence results, convergence analysis, and optimality conditions. We provide applications and numerical examples to justify the proposed framework.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a system of vector variational inequalities and a system of nonsmooth variational inequalities defined by means of Clarke directional derivative. We also consider the Nash equilibrium problem with vector pay-offs and its scalarized form. We present some relations among these systems and problems. The existence results for a solution of system of nonsmooth variational inequalities are given. As a consequence, we derive an existence result for a solution of Nash equilibrium problem with vector pay-offs.  相似文献
