We prove a formula for the number of representations of an element in a finite basic ring as a sum of k exceptional units and find bounds for this number in an arbitrary finite ring with identity.  相似文献

In analogy with the periods of abelian integrals of differentials of the third kind for an elliptic curve defined over a number field, we introduce a notion of periods of the third kind for a rank 2 Drinfeld ${\mathbb{F}_{q}[t]}$ -module ρ defined over an algebraic function field. In this paper we establish explicit formulae for these periods of the third kind for ρ. Combining with the main result in Chang and Papanikolas (J. Am. Math. Soc. 25:123–150, 2012), we show the algebraic independence of the periods of first, second and third kinds for ρ.  相似文献

In this note we extend our previous results on the linear independence of values of the divided derivatives of exponential and quasi-periodic functions related to a Drinfeld module to divided derivatives of values of identity and quasi-periodic functions evaluated at the logarithm of an algebraic value. The change in point of view enables us to deal smoothly with divided derivatives of arbitrary order. Moreover we treat a full complement of quasi-periodic functions corresponding to a basis of de Rham cohomology.

The discriminant function is a certain rigid analytic modularform defined on Drinfelds upper half-plane . Its absolutevalue may be considered as a function on theassociated Bruhat–Tits tree T. We compare log with the conditionally convergent complex-valued Eisenstein series Edefined on T and thereby obtain results about the growth of and of some related modular forms. We further determine to what extent roots may be extracted of (z)/(nz),regarded as a holomorphic function on . In some cases, this enables us to calculate cuspidal divisor class groups of modular curves.  相似文献

We prove an estimate on denominators of rational Drinfeld associators. To obtain this result, we prove the corresponding estimate for the p-adic associators stable under the action of suitable elements of Gal([`(\mathbbQ)]/\mathbbQ){{\rm Gal}(\bar{\mathbb{Q}}/\mathbb{Q})} . As an application, we settle in the positive Duflo’s question on the Kashiwara–Vergne factorizations of the Jacobson element J p (x, y) = (x + y) p x p y p in the free Lie algebra over a field of characteristic p. Another application is a new estimate on denominators of the Kontsevich knot invariant.  相似文献

Consider a point of infinite order on an abelian variety over a number field. Then its reduction at any place v of good reduction is a torsion point. For most of this paper we fix a rational prime and study how the -part of this reduction varies with v. Under suitable conditions we prove various statements on this -part for all v in a set of positive Dirichlet density: for example that its order is a fixed power of , that its order is non-trivial for the reductions of finitely many points, or that its order is larger than a certain explicit value that varies with v. Let K be a finitely generated field of transcendence degree 1 over a finite field, and set GK?Gal(Ksep/K). Let φ be a Drinfeld A-module over K in special characteristic. Set E?EndK(φ) and let Z be its center. We show that for almost all primes p of A, the image of the group ring Ap[GK] in EndA(Tp(φ)) is the commutant of E. Thus, for almost all p it is a full matrix ring over ZAAp. In the special case E=A it follows that the representation of GK on the p-torsion points φ[p] is absolutely irreducible for almost all p.  相似文献

This paper deals with two problems arising in the study of Drinfeld quasi-modular forms. The first problem is to find the maximal order of vanishing at infinity of a non-zero Drinfeld quasi-modular form and leads to the notion of “extremal” quasi-modular form (highest possible order of vanishing for fixed weight and depth). The second problem is determining differential properties of extremal forms, leading to the notion of “differentially extremal” form. From our investigations, we will obtain an upper bound for the order of vanishing at infinity of non-zero Drinfeld quasi-modular forms of small depths. The paper ends with a collection of tools used in the previous parts. The notion of “extremal” form is similar to one introduced by Kaneko and Koike in [M. Kaneko, M. Koike, On extremal quasimodular forms, Kyushu J. Math. 60 (2006) 457-470].  相似文献

 In analogy with the famous theorems of Mazur and Merel on the torsion subgroups of elliptic curves, one can formulate similar conjectures for the torsion points of Drinfeld modules. We prove some partial results for rank 2 Drinfeld 𝔽 q [T]-modules, for example the uniform boundedness of the 𝔭-primary torsion. We consider a finite dimensional k-algebraA and associate to each tilting module a cone in the Grothendieck groupK 0 of finitely generated A-modules. We prove that the set of cones associated to tilting modules of projective dimension at most one defines a, not necessarily finite, fan Σ(A). IfA is of finite global dimension, the fan Σ(A) is smooth. Moreover, using the cone of a tilting module, we can associate a volume to each tilting module. Using the fan and the volume, we obtain new proofs for several classical results; we obtain certain convergent sums naturally associated to the algebraA and obtain criteria for the completeness of a list of tilting modules. We define deformations of W-algebras associated to comple semisimple Lie algebras by means of quantum Drinfeld-Sokolov reduction procedure for affine quantum groups. We also introduce Wakimoto modules for arbitrary affine quantum groups and construct free field resolutions and screening operators for the deformed W-algebras. We compare our results with earlier definitions of q-W-algebras and of the deformed screening operators due to Awata, Kubo, Odake, Shiraishi [60],[6], [7], Feigin, E. Frenkel [22] and E. Frenkel, Reshetikhin [34]. The screening operator and the free field resolution for the deformed W-algebra associated to the simple Lie algebra sl2 coincide with those for the deformed Virasoro algebra introduced in [60]. In this work, we find plane models for certain Drinfeld modular curves X0(n) which have better properties than the plane models derived from the usual Drinfeld modular equations. As an application, we construct ring class fields over imaginary quadratic fields by using singular values of generators of the function field of X0(n).  相似文献
