We discovered that the 2D Ti3C2Tx MXene sheet displays an ultra-high removal capability for bilirubin (BR). In particular, MXene shows 47.6 times higher removal efficiency over traditional activated carbon absorbents. The effect of MXene on the removal rate of BR in BR solution containing different concentrations of bovine serum albumin (BSA) was studied. The adsorption capacity of BSA for BR at high concentration of 5 g L−1 was about 85% of the best adsorption capacity. The MXene before and after adsorption was characterized by SEM, FT-IR and XPS. Furthermore, MXene beads were prepared, and the hemoperfusion simulation experiment was carried out. The results show that the adsorption capacity of MXene for bilirubin can reach 1192.9 mg g−1. This study suggests that MXene may be promising in the treatment of hyperbilirubinemia.  相似文献

As an effective cesium complex agent, calix[4]biscrown-6 (CBC) applied at a low cost way is of interest. In this study, CBC/XAD-7 was prepared by embedding CBC into XAD-7. Subsequently the as-prepared sorbent was used for the removal of cesium from aqueous solution as functions of HNO3 concentration, contact time, temperature and initial cesium concentration. The results revealed that the nitric concentration influenced cesium adsorption by complex and protonation interaction. The most effective adsorption happened at the nitric concentration of 1.0 M. The adsorption isotherm well described with the Langmuir model illustrated a monolayer adsorption. Its maximum adsorption capacity was 24.4 mg/g in the 2 M nitric acid aqueous solution. The adsorption kinetics was in accordance with the pseudo-second order model, which indicated a chemisorption. The thermodynamic parameters demonstrated that the adsorption process was exothermal and spontaneous. In addition CBC/XAD-7 showed highly selective recognition toward cesium and good reusability. The study offered an economical and effective material for cesium removal.

A new effective magnetic composite material was prepared successfully for adsorption Hg(II) ions by introducing β-cyclodextrin/ethylene imine polymer to the mesoporous silica. The morphology and structure of EIP-β-CD magnetic adsorbents were characterized by FT-IR, XR, DTG, XPS and SEM technologies. The effect of many factors were discussed detailedly such as adsorption time, initial concentration, pH, different composition of adsorbent and adsorption temperature. It was found that EIP-β-CD showed excellent adsorption capacity, high selectivity, good reutilization and fast adsorption rate. The maximum adsorption capacity was 248.72 mg/g and the best removal rate was 99.49 % under the optimized experimental conditions. The kinetic and thermodynamic study showed typical characteristic of chemical adsorption, exothermic and spontaneous. The best mass proportion of β-cyclodextrin, ethylene imine polymer and glutaraldehyde was 1.0:0.4:0.2, and proper β-cyclodextrin can develop the adsorption capacity for Hg(II) ions in this adsorbent. The possible adsorption mechanism was investigated in detail. After the fifth cycle experiment, this new adsorbent still showed excellent adsorption capacity which indicated that it has great potential for Hg(II) ions cleanup in water solution.  相似文献

An adsorption resin CX-6 was synthesized and used for acid soluble lignin (ASL) removal from sugarcane bagasse hydrolysate (SCBH). The adsorption conditions of pH value, amount of adsorbent, initial ASL concentration, and temperature on ASL adsorption were discussed. The results showed the adsorption capacity of ASL was negatively affected by increasing temperature, solution pH, and adsorbent dose, and was positively affected by increasing initial concentration. The maximum adsorption capacity of ASL was 135.3 mg/g at initial ASL concentration 6.46 g/L, adsorption temperature 298 K, and pH 1. Thermodynamic study demonstrated that the adsorption process was spontaneous and exothermic. Equilibrium and kinetics experiments were proved to fit the Freundlich isotherm model and pseudo-second-order model well, respectively. Fermentation experiment showed that the SCBH after combined overliming with resin adsorption as fermentation substrate for microbial lipid production by Trichosporon cutaneum and Trichosporon coremiiforme was as better as that of SCBH by combined overliming with active charcoal adsorption, and more efficient than that of SCBH only by overliming. Moreover, the regeneration experiment indicated that the CX-6 resin is easy to regenerate and its recirculated performance is stable. In conclusion, our results provide a promising adsorbent to detoxify lignocellulose hydrolysate for further fermentation.

A novel wastewater purification material was prepared by a hydrothermal method. It was mainly made from oyster shells with the merits of long service time, large surface area, high lead removal efficiency and excellent recyclable properties. The technological conditions were decided respectively based on the lead removal efficiencies. At pH = 5 and 30 ℃, for the wastewater with the initial concentration of Pb2+ to be 5 mg/L, adsorption time 24 h, and 1 mg to 40 mL of mass ratio between adsorbent and Pb2+, the maximum adsorption capacity can reach 0.19 mg/g. The lead removal material prepared by hydrothermal method has excellent recycle performance. The equilibrium adsorption capacity can get to 9.71 mg/g and the average Pb2+ removal rate is as high as 66.39%. After reusing for 60 times, the SEM observation shows that the hydrates of reticular formation is formed after hydrothermal modification, which provides a good attachment position for Pb2+, indicating the physical adsorption is dominant.  相似文献

The mechanistic aspects of improved aqueous removal of methyl orange (MO) dyes using high performance novel magnetic MgAlNi barium-ferrite (MgAlNi-BaFe) ternary double layer hydroxide (LDH) nanocomposites is reported in this study. Detailed surface characterization coupled with kinetic, equilibrium, thermodynamics and regeneration studies were undertaken under different operational conditions of temperature (298–318 K), initial concentration (20–100 mg/L), pH (2–6). The kinetic results show that MO sorption was mainly, associated with pseudo-second order and intra-particular diffusion process. The MO adsorption onto the MgAlNi-BaFe nanocomposites suggests a multi-layered sorption process that is endothermic and spontaneous in nature. The MO adsorption mechanism insight taken in cognizance of FTIR, XRD, pKa, zeta potential, the adsorbates surface functional groups and the adsorbate-adsorbent surface charges interactions suggest involvement of hydrogen bonding and n-π interactions, predominantly via physisorption process (ΔG° = −7.406 to −5.69 kJ/mol). The excellent adsorptive performance of the MgAlNi-BaFe adsorbents for removal of MO from water compared with other magnetic LDH nanocomposites was further elucidated via the MgAlNi-BaFe nanomaterials high rates of regeneration and superior performances for three successive desorption-adsorption cycles. This study demonstrates the high potentials of employing MgAlNi-BaFe nanomaterials for removal of dyes from water and wastewater.  相似文献

Alginate-enfolded copper hexacyanoferrate (CuHCF) graphene oxide granules (CGAGs) were prepared and showed excellent mechanical strength and water-swelling resistance. The maximum adsorption capacity was 50.5 mg/g. The distribution coefficient reached the maximum at pH 5.0, and was almost unaffected by the coexisted metal ions (K+, Na+, Ca2+, Mg2+, less than 20 mg/L). With the flow rate of 1.2 mL/min and the feed concentration of 20 mg/L, the efficiency of the fixed-bed column was calculated as 60.6%. These results suggested that CGAGs could be an alternative adsorbent for removing low-concentration cesium from the contaminated potable water and surface water so on.

A study on the adsorption of sulfamethazine sodium (SMS) from aqueous solution onto the activated carbon (AC)-based Salix psammophila (SP) by phosphoric acid activation was conducted. The central composite design under response surface methodology was employed for the removal of SMS and the process parameters were optimized. Influence of adsorbent dose, initial concentration of SMS, contact time and solution pH on the adsorption capacity of AC was investigated. The optimum adsorption conditions were obtained using adsorbent dosage of 0.54?g/L, initial concentration of 322?mg/L, contact time of 8?hours, pH value of 4.04. Kinetic studies showed the adsorption followed a pseudo-second-order model and Elovich model. The experimental equilibrium data were fitted Koble-Corrigan model and Freundlich model well and the maximum monolayer adsorption capacity of AC calculated by Langmuir model was 338.58?mg/g at 25?°C. In addition, AC was characterized by the SEM–EDS, BET, FITR and point of zero charge (pHpzc). The mechanisms of SMS sorption onto AC were explored. Desorption and regeneration tests were carried out to evaluate the feasibility of reusing the AC. This study indicated the AC prepared from SP was an excellent adsorbent with the low cost and high performance.  相似文献

The effects of pH of the buffer solution and the composition of the hydrogel system on the bovine serum albumin (BSA) adsorption capacity of chitosan (CS)–polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) (CSPVP) hydrogels and release of BSA were investigated. Poly-electrolyte CSPVP hydrogels with different compositions were prepared by irradiating CS/PVP/water mixtures with γ-rays at ambient temperature. The adsorption capacity of hydrogels was found to increase from 0 to 350 mg BSA/g dry gel, by changing external stimuli and hydrogel composition. The adsorption of BSA within CSPVP hydrogels increased with increase in CS content in the hydrogels. When the irradiation doses of hydrogel increased, the adsorption of BSA decreased. The maximum adsorption of BSA was observed at pH 5. A significant amount of the adsorbed BSA (up to 95%) was eluted in the phosphate medium containing 0.1 M NaCl at pH 7.4.  相似文献

In recent decades, great progress has been made in the application of adsorption processes to mitigate water pollution by hazardous metals. However, developing a highly efficient adsorbent is essential if the adsorption process is to be successfully applied in practical applications. In this study, a CuMgAl-layered double hydroxides/montmorillonite nanocomposite (CuMgAl-LDH/MMt) was prepared, characterized, and then used as a novel adsorbent for adsorption of Cd2+ ions from wastewater. The effects of initial pH, adsorbent dosage, agitation speed, particle size, contact time, initial Cd2+ concentration, and temperature on the pollutant removal efficiency were analyzed. An isotherm model reading revealed that the results of the experimental work were a good fit with the Freundlich model. The maximum adsorption capacity was reached at 174.87 mg/g under optimal conditions (pH 5, dosage of 0.02 g/l, agitation speed of 150 rpm, and particle size of 87 μm) at 50 ppm after 120 min of adsorption time. Kinetic studies showed that pseudo-second-order models were best fitted to the adsorption data, indicating heterogeneous adsorption of Cd2+ ions onto multilayer CuMgAl-LDH/MMt sites, and that the adsorption process is primarily chemical adsorption. Thermodynamic parameters (ΔSo, ΔHo, and ΔGo) demonstrated that Cd2+ adsorption onto adsorbent was exothermic and spontaneous. Moreover, the synthesized adsorbent can be recovered after five consecutive cycles with a minimal reduction in the adsorption ability of 29.56 %. The study showed that specific heavy metals can be removed from aqueous solution by a newly prepared adsorbent due to its excellent morphology, high stability under a wide range of conditions, recyclability, and high adsorption capacity.  相似文献

In this study, we have prepared pH/temperature-sensitive imprinted ionic poly(N-tert-butylacrylamide-co-acrylamide/maleic acid) [P(TBA-co-AAm/MA)] hydrogels for bovine serum albumin (BSA) by using molecular imprinting method. BSA adsorption from aqueous BSA solutions was investigated with two types of hydrogel systems prepared by non-imprinted and imprinted methods. Hydrogels imprinted with BSA showed higher adsorption capacity and specificity for BSA than hydrogels prepared by the usual procedure. At all studied conditions, the highest BSA adsorption was observed in the hydrogel imprinted with 8.63 wt.-% BSA. In addition, the imprinted hydrogels exhibited both for good selectivity BSA and high adsorption rate depending on the number of BSA-sized cavities. Adsorption studies showed that other stimuli, such as pH, temperature and initial BSA concentration also influenced the BSA adsorption capacity of both non-imprinted and imprinted hydrogels.  相似文献

A novel manganese titanium oxide/biological carbon (Mn/Ti/BC) composite was synthesized and prepared by hydrothermal synthesis to further improve the adsorption performance of Rhodamine B. The microstructure of the composite was analyzed by characterization means such as scanning electron microscopy(SEM),FT-IR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. The adsorption experiments were carried out by varying the parameters such as adsorption time, adsorbent dosage, initial concentration of the solution, and temperature. The adsorbed samples were analyzed by UV spectrophotometer. The obtained data were tested for the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models at equilibrium. The R2 (correlation coefficient) values indicated that the data were in good agreement with the Langmuir adsorption model. The experimental results showed that the removal rate of Rhodamine B reached 98% when the solution concentration of Rhodamine B was 100 mg/L, and the addition of manganese titanium oxide-biomass carbon composite was 0.5 g, and the dosage ratio was 1:1:1 (Mn–Ti–C). The adsorption process was chemisorption in accordance with the secondary kinetic equation. With low cost, fast adsorption, and good stability, the Mn–Ti–C composite is an excellent adsorption material with good application prospects.  相似文献

In this research, a novel magnetic mesoporous adsorbent with mixed phase of Fe2O3/Mn3O4 nanocomposite was prepared by a facile precipitating method and characterized extensively. The prepared nanocomposite was used as adsorbent for toxic methyl orange (MO) dye removal from aqua matrix considering its high surface area (178.27 m2/g) with high saturation magnetization (23.07 emu/g). Maximum dye adsorption occurs at solution pH 2.0 and the electrostatic attraction between anionic form of MO dye molecules and the positively charged nanocomposite surface is the main driving force behind this adsorption. Response surface methodology (RSM) was used for optimizing the process variables and maximum MO removal of 97.67% is obtained at optimum experimental condition with contact time, adsorbent dose and initial MO dye concentration of 45 min, 0.87 g/l and 116 mg/l, respectively. Artificial neural network (ANN) model with optimum topology of 3–5–1 was developed for predicting the MO removal (%), which has shown higher predictive ability than RSM model. Maximum adsorption capacity of this nanocomposite was found to be 322.58 mg/g from Langmuir isotherm model. Kinetic studies reveal the applicability of second‐order kinetic model with contribution of intra‐particle diffusion in this process.  相似文献

Highly crosslinked organic–inorganic hybrid polymer poly(cyclotriphosphazene-co-melamine) microspheres (PZM) were synthesized by a simple method. The microspheres was characterized by FTIR, SEM and EDX. It was applied to eliminate thorium(IV) from aqueous solution under various conditions, i.e., pH, initial concentration, dosage and contact time. The experimental data were well-imitated via the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and its adsorption processes comply with the Langmuir isotherm model. Adsorption thermodynamic studies demonstrated that the adsorption process, in essence, was spontaneous and endothermic. Furthermore, the maximum experimental adsorption capacity was 98.6 mg g?1 for initial thorium(IV) concentration 50 mg L?1. When pH?=?0.0, the thorium(IV) removal efficiency reached at 76.9%, which indicates that the adsorbent can also was used in a peracid environment. Adsorption behavior of thorium(IV) onto the microspheres were weakly affected via temperature, implying that adsorption would be done at room temperature.

Currently, great challenges to top‐down phosphoproteomics lie in the selective enrichment of intact phosphoproteins from complex biological samples. Herein, we developed a facile approach for synthesis of Ti4+‐immobilized affinity silica nanoparticles and applied them to the selective separation and enrichment of intact phosphoproteins based upon the principle of metal(IV) phosphate/phosphonate chemistry. The as‐prepared affinity materials exhibited high selectivity and adsorption capacities for model phosphoproteins (328.9 mg/g for β‐casein, 280.5 mg/g for ovalbumin, and 225.8 mg/g for α‐casein), compared with nonphosphoproteins (79.28 mg/g for horseradish peroxidase, 72.70 mg/g for BSA, and 27.28 mg/g for lysozyme). In addition, the resuability of the affinity silica nanoparticles was evaluated, and the results demonstrated a less than 10% loss of adsorption capacity after six adsorption–regeneration cycles. The practicability of the affinity materials was demonstrated by separating phosphoproteins from protein mixtures and drinking milk samples, and the satisfactory results indicated its potential in phosphoproteomics analysis.  相似文献

In this work, ionic liquid modified Fe3O4@dopamine/graphene oxide/β-cyclodextrin (ILs-Fe3O4@DA/GO/β-CD) was used as supporting material to synthesize surface molecularly imprinted polymer (SMIP) which then was introduced into chemiluminescence (CL) to achieve an ultrasensitive and selective biosensor for determination of lysozyme (Lys). ILs and β-CD was applied to provide multiple binding sites to prepare Lys SMIP and Fe3O4@DA was designed to make the product separate easily and prevent the aggregation of GO which could improve absorption capacity for its large specific surface area. The ILs-Fe3O4@DA/GO/β-CD-SMIP showed high adsorption capacity (Q = 101 mg/g) to Lys in the adsorption isotherm assays. The adsorption equilibrium was reached within 10 min for all the concentrations, attributing to the binding sites situated exclusively at the surface, and the adsorption model followed Langmuir isotherm. Under the suitable CL conditions, the proposed biosensor could response Lys linearly in the range of 1.0 × 10−9–8.0 × 10−8 mg/mL with a detection limit of 3.0 × 10−10 mg/mL. When used in practical samples in determination of Lys, the efficient biosensor exhibited excellent result with the recoveries ranging from 94% to 112%.  相似文献

Ferric nitrate–graphene (FG) nanocomposites synthesized via the equivalent‐volume impregnation method were used for the removal of As(V) species from simulated arsenic‐containing wastewater. Effects of various factors were assessed, such as the reaction temperature, solution pH, adsorbent dosage, and reaction time. The results indicated that the As(V) removal efficiency was as high as 99%, and the concentration of arsenic‐containing wastewater after FG treatment was as low as 9.4 μg L–1 as a result of the optimal absorption capacity and maximum specific surface area (171.766 m2/g) of this material. The equilibrium adsorption capacity of FG for As(V) was achieved in approximately 20 min, and the maximum adsorption capacity was calculated to be 112.4 mg g–1 by Langmuir adsorption isotherm, which was higher than that of other adsorbents such as manganese‐incorporated iron(III) oxide–graphene (14.42 mg g–1). Moreover, the removal efficiency of As(V) can be maintained above 95% under acidic and alkaline conditions. Brunauer–Emmett–Teller analysis showed that the modified FG pore structure was regular. Based on the characterizations by X‐ray diffraction, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and Fourier transform infrared, the products on the surface of the used FG were Fe(OH)3, FeAsO4, and other compounds, and As(V) was mainly removed by the formation of insoluble compounds and coprecipitation.  相似文献

In this study, Chitosan and Chitosan-zinc oxide (ZnO) nanocomposite were prepared and applied as a low-cost adsorbent with high adsorption capacity for removing reactive red 198 (RR 198) dye from contaminated water. After preparation, it was characterized using FT-IR, XRD, and SEM. The effect of pH, temperature, time, adsorbent amount, and initial dye concentration were investigated in the removal efficiency of RR 198. The maximum adsorption capacity (qm) obtained from the Langmuir equation was 172.41 mg/g in adsorbent dose of 0.1 g/L, pH: 4, temperature of 25°C, adsorption time of 40 min. The thermodynamic parameters demonstrated the spontaneous and endothermic nature of the adsorption process. Due to the high efficiency of chitosan/ZnO nanocomposite in removal of RR 198 from water and advantages such as high adsorption capacity, simple synthesis, and easy application, it can be used as an effective method in the removal of RR 198 from water.  相似文献

A novel biodegradable adsorbent called pyrolysed empty fruit bunch fibres (PEF) was prepared by chemo-physical activation of empty fruit bunch fibres (EFB) biochar for removal of cibacron blue 3G-A (CB) dye from aqueous solution. PEF was characterized using FTIR, SEM-EDX, XRD and BET techniques. The N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms indicated PEF’s surface area to be 362.84 m2g−1 and XRD attributed amorphous nature to PEF. After adsorption process, PEF has smoother surface morphology, increase in carbon by weight and shift in functional groups. The established adsorption optimum conditions were pH 10, 45 min contact time and 0.10 g/100 mL adsorbent dosage with 99.05% CB dye removal capacity at 343 K and initial dye concentration 100 mg/L. Desorption ratio >90% after seventh cycle of adsorption-desorption experiments confirmed high reusability (regeneration) of PEF. Pseudo second order kinetic and Freundlich were better fitted with kinetic and isotherm model respectively, while mechanism of adsorption was controlled by film diffusion (external mass transfer). Thermodynamic studied revealed ΔG, ΔS and ΔH to be −3.12 MJ/mol K, 9.11 kJ/mol K, 6.83 kJ/mol respectively at 343 K. The negative value of ΔG, positive values of ΔS and ΔH indicated spontaneity, feasibility and endothermic nature of CB dye adsorption from aqueous solution onto PEF.  相似文献

Adsorptive behavior of natural clinoptilolite was assessed for removal of thorium from aqueous solutions. Natural zeolite was characterized by X-ray diffraction and X-ray fluorescence. The zeolite sample composed mainly of clinoptilolite. Na-exchanged form of zeolite was prepared and its sorption capacity for removal of thorium from aqueous solutions was examined. The effects of relevant parameters, including initial concentration, contact time, solid to liquid ratio, temperature and initial pH on the removal efficiency were investigated in batch studies. The pH strongly influenced thorium adsorption capacity and maximal capacity was obtained at pH 4.0. Kinetics and isotherm of adsorption were also studied. The pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order, Elovich and intra-particle diffusion models were used to describe the kinetic data. The pseudo-second-order kinetic model provided excellent kinetic data fitting (R 2 > 0.999) with rate constant of 1.25, 1.37 and 1.44 g mmol−1 min−1 respectively for 25, 40 and 55 °C. The Langmuir and Freundlich models were applied to describe the equilibrium isotherms for thorium uptake and the Langmuir model agrees very well with experimental data. Thermodynamic parameters were determined and are discussed.  相似文献
