On the Automorphism Groups of Cayley Graphs of Finite Simple Groups   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Let G be a finite nonabelian simple group and let be a connectedundirected Cayley graph for G. The possible structures for thefull automorphism group Aut are specified. Then, for certainfinite simple groups G, a sufficient condition is given underwhich G is a normal subgroup of Aut. Finally, as an applicationof these results, several new half-transitive graphs are constructed.Some of these involve the sporadic simple groups G = J1, J4,Ly and BM, while others fall into two infinite families andinvolve the Ree simple groups and alternating groups. The twoinfinite families contain examples of half-transitive graphsof arbitrarily large valency.  相似文献

For every infinite sequence of simple groups of Lie type of growing rank we exhibit connected Cayley graphs of degree at most 10 such that the isoperimetric number of these graphs converges to 0. This proves that these graphs do not form a family of expanders.  相似文献

A Cayley graph Cay(G,S) of a groupGis called a CI-graph if wheneverTis another subset ofGfor which Cay(G,S) Cay(G,T), there exists an automorphism σ ofGsuch thatSσ = T. For a positive integerm, the groupGis said to have them-CI property if all Cayley graphs ofGof valencymare CI-graphs; further, ifGhas thek-CI property for allkm, thenGis called anm-CI-group, and a |G|-CI-groupGis called a CI-group. In this paper, we prove that Ais not a 5-CI-group, that SL(2,5) is not a 6-CI-group, and that all finite 6-CI-groups are soluble. Then we show that a nonabelian simple group has the 4-CI property if and only if it is A5, and that no nonabelian simple group has the 5-CI property. Also we give nine new examples of CI-groups of small order, which were found to be CI-groups with the assistance of a computer.  相似文献

We characterize the set of planar locally finite Cayley graphs, and give a finite representation of these graphs by a special kind of finite state automata called labeling schemes. As a result, we are able to enumerate and describe all planar locally finite Cayley graphs of a given degree. In this paper, we first give a classification of the family of 2-geodesic transitive abelian Cayley graphs. Let \(\Gamma \) be such a graph which is not 2-arc transitive. It is shown that one of the following holds: (1) \(\Gamma \cong \mathrm{K}_{m[b]}\) for some \(m\ge 3\) and \(b\ge 2\); (2) \(\Gamma \) is a normal Cayley graph of an elementary abelian group; (3) \(\Gamma \) is a cover of Cayley graph \(\Gamma _K\) of an abelian group T / K, where either \(\Gamma _K\) is complete arc transitive or \(\Gamma _K\) is 2-geodesic transitive of girth 3, and A / K acts primitively on \(V(\Gamma _K)\) of type Affine or Product Action. 一个有限群称为广义四元数群,若Q4n=〈a,b a2n=1,b2=an,ab=a-1,〉n 3.本文根据广义四元数群Q4p(p为奇素数)中只有两类二元生成子集,且它们在Aut(Q4p)的作用下是传递的.结合具体图形,利用查圈的方法重点地证明了广义四元数群关于这两类二元生成子集的4-度C ay ley图的正规性与正则性,解决了4-度C ay ley图的完全分类问题.  相似文献

In this paper, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the integrality of Cayley graphs over the dihedral group \(D_n=\langle a,b\mid a^n=b^2=1,bab=a^{-1}\rangle \). Moreover, we also obtain some simple sufficient conditions for the integrality of Cayley graphs over \(D_n\) in terms of the Boolean algebra of \(\langle a\rangle \), from which we find infinite classes of integral Cayley graphs over \(D_n\). In particular, we completely determine all integral Cayley graphs over the dihedral group \(D_p\) for a prime p.  相似文献

A weak Cayley table isomorphism is a bijection φ: G → H of groups such that φ(xy) ~ φ(x)φ(y) for all x, y ∈ G. Here ~denotes conjugacy. When G = H the set of all weak Cayley table isomorphisms φ: G → G forms a group 𝒲(G) that contains the automorphism group Aut(G) and the inverse map I: G → G, x → x ?1. Let 𝒲0(G) = ?Aut(G), I? ≤ 𝒲(G) and say that G has trivial weak Cayley table group if 𝒲(G) = 𝒲0(G). We show that all finite irreducible Coxeter groups (except possibly E 8) have trivial weak Cayley table group, as well as most alternating groups. Abstract

For a group G and a subset S of G which does not contain the identity of G, the Cayley digraph Cay(G, S) is called normal if R(G) is normal in Aut(Γ). In this paper, we investigate the normality of Cayley digraphs of finite simple groups with out-valency 2 and 3. We give several sufficient conditions for such Cayley digraphs to be normal. By using this result, we consider the digraphical regular representations of finite simple groups.  相似文献
