Local Uniqueness of Solutions to Ky Fan Vector Inequalities using Approximations as Derivatives

We establish sufficient conditions for the local uniqueness of solutions to Ky Fan vector strong and weak inequalities. By using approximations as generalized derivatives, our results are valid even in cases where the maps involved in the problems suffer infinite discontinuity at the considered point. Corollaries and examples show that the results extend and improve existing ones in the literature.     

On Dual Invex Ky Fan Inequalities

In this paper, we obtain some new results for the dual invex Ky Fan inequalities in topological vector spaces. These results can be viewed as an extension and refinement of the previously known results of Noor and others.

Strong Convergence Theorems for Nonexpansive Mappings and Ky Fan Inequalities

We introduce a new iteration method and prove strong convergence theorems for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping and the solution set of monotone and Lipschitz-type continuous Ky Fan inequality. Under certain conditions on parameters, we show that the iteration sequences generated by this method converge strongly to the common element in a real Hilbert space. Some preliminary computational experiences are reported.

Gap Functions and Error Bounds for Weak Generalized Ky Fan Inequalities

In this paper, we study a weak generalized Ky Fan inequality with cone constraints through image space analysis. First, we characterize the separation for the weak generalized Ky Fan inequality with cone constraints using the saddle points of generalized Lagrangian function. Then, we use regular weak separation functions to construct gap functions and regularized gap functions for the weak generalized Ky Fan inequality with cone constraints in a general way, and establish its error bounds in terms of these gap functions.     

Ky Fan Inequalities and Nash Equilibrium Points without Semicontinuity and Compactness

In this paper, a Ky Fan inequality without compactness and semicontinuity assumptions is proved. The inequality is next applied in order to obtain existence results for Nash equilibrium points for two-person games in topological vector spaces and in reflexive Banach spaces.     

Closedness of the Solution Map in Quasivariational Inequalities of Ky Fan Type

This paper is mainly concerned with the stability analysis of the set-valued solution mapping for a parametric quasivariational inequality of Ky Fan type. Perturbations are here considered both on the bifunction and on the constraint map which define the problem. The bifunction is assumed to be either pseudomonotone or quasimonotone. This fact leads to the definition of four different types of solution: two when the bifunction is pseudomonotone, and two for the quasimonotone case. These solution sets are connected each other through two Minty-type Lemmas, where a very weak form of continuity for the bifunction is employed. Using these results, we are able to establish some sufficient conditions, which ensure the closedness and the upper semicontinuity of the maps corresponding to the four solution sets.     

Extragradient Methods and Linesearch Algorithms for Solving Ky Fan Inequalities and Fixed Point Problems

In this paper, we introduce some new iterative methods for finding a common element of the set of points satisfying a Ky Fan inequality, and the set of fixed points of a contraction mapping in a Hilbert space. The strong convergence of the iterates generated by each method is obtained thanks to a hybrid projection method, under the assumptions that the fixed-point mapping is a ??-strict pseudocontraction, and the function associated with the Ky Fan inequality is pseudomonotone and weakly continuous. A?Lipschitz-type condition is assumed to hold on this function when the basic iteration comes from the extragradient method. This assumption is unnecessary when an Armijo backtracking linesearch is incorporated in the extragradient method. The particular case of variational inequality problems is examined in a last section.     

Local Uniqueness of Solutions of General Variational Inequalities

We use the concept of Fréchet approximate Jacobian matrices to establish the local uniqueness of solutions to general variational inequalities which involve continuous, not necessarily locally Lipschitz continuous data.     

Existence of Solutions for Generalized Vector Variational-like Inequalities

In this paper, we consider a generalized vector variational-like inequality problem (for short, GVVLIP), which includes generalized vector variational inequalities, vector variational inequalities and classical variational inequalities as special cases. The concepts of generalized C-pseudomonotone-like and generalized H-hemicontinuous-like operators are introduced. Some existence results for GVVLIP are obtained under the assumptions of generalized C-pseudomonotone-like property and generalized H-hemicontinuous-like property. These results appear to be new and interesting. New existence results of the classical variational inequality are also obtained. Expected Residual Minimization Formulation for a Class of Stochastic Vector Variational Inequalities

This paper considers a class of vector variational inequalities. First, we present an equivalent formulation, which is a scalar variational inequality, for the deterministic vector variational inequality. Then we concentrate on the stochastic circumstance. By noting that the stochastic vector variational inequality may not have a solution feasible for all realizations of the random variable in general, for tractability, we employ the expected residual minimization approach, which aims at minimizing the expected residual of the so-called regularized gap function. We investigate the properties of the expected residual minimization problem, and furthermore, we propose a sample average approximation method for solving the expected residual minimization problem. Comprehensive convergence analysis for the approximation approach is established as well.
