On some new generalized difference sequence spaces on seminormed spaces defined by a sequence of Orlicz functions

In this paper we define the sequence space ℓ _M (Δ _υ ^m , p, q, s) on a seminormed complex linear space, by using a sequence of Orlicz functions. We study some algebraic and topological properties. We prove some inclusion relations involving ℓ _M (Δ _υ ^m , p, q, s). spaces     

On a Class of Generalized Lacunary Difference Sequence Spaces Defined by Orlicz Functions

In this article we introduce the generalized lacunary difference sequence spaces [N_θ,M,Δ~m]_0,[N_θ,M,Δ~m]_1 and [N_θ,M,Δ~m]_∞using m~(th)- difference.We study their properties like completeness,solidness,symmetricity.Also we obtain some inclusion relations involving the spaces [N_θ,M,Δ~m]_0,[N_θ,M,Δ~m]_1 and[N_θ,M,Δ~m]_∞and the Cesàro summable and strongly Cesàro summable sequences.     

On a class of difference sequences related to the ℓ<Superscript>p</Superscript> space defined by Orlicz functions

In this article we introduce the difference sequence space m(M, Δ, φ) using the Orlicz function. We study its different properties like solidity, completeness etc. Also we obtain some inclusion relations involving the space m(M, Δ, φ).      

On some new type generalized difference sequence spaces

In this paper we introduce a new type of difference operator Δ _m ⁿ for fixed m, n ∈ ℕ. We define the sequence spaces ℓ_∞(Δ _m ⁿ ), c(Δ _m ⁿ ) and c ₀(Δ _m ⁿ ) and study some topological properties of these spaces. We obtain some inclusion relations involving these sequence spaces. These notions generalize many earlier existing notions on difference sequence spaces.      

On some generalized difference paranormed sequence spaces associated with multiplier sequence defined by modulus function

In this article we introduce the paranormed sequence spaces(f,Λ,△m,p),c0(f,Λ,△m,p) and ■∞(f,Λ,△m,p),associated with the multiplier sequence Λ =(λk),defined by a modulus function f.We study their different properties like solidness,symmetricity,completeness etc.and prove some inclusion results.     

Strongly almost convergent generalized difference sequences associated with multiplier sequences

Let Λ = (λ _k ) be a sequence of non-zero complex numbers. In this paper we introduce the strongly almost convergent generalized difference sequence spaces associated with multiplier sequences i.e. w ₀[A,Δ ^m ,Λ,p], w ₁[A,Λ ^m ,Λ,p], w _∞[A,Δ ^m ,Λ,p] and study their different properties. We also introduce Δ _Λ ^m -statistically convergent sequences and give some inclusion relations between w ₁[Δ ^m ,λ,p] convergence and Δ _Λ ^m -statistical convergence. On a Class of Vector-Valued Sequences Associated with Multiplier Sequences

In this article we introduce the vector valued sequence space m(E_k,φ,∧),associated with themultiplier sequence ∧=(λ_k) of non-zero complex numbers,and the terms of the sequence are chosen from theseminormed spaces E_k,seminormed by f_k for all k∈N.This generalizes the sequence space m(φ) introducedand studied by Sargent.We study some of its properties like solidity,completeness,and obtain some inclusionresults.We also characterize the multiplier problem and obtain the corresponding spaces dual to m(E_k,φ,∧).We prove some general results too.     

On some new generalized difference sequence spaces defined by a sequence of moduli

In this paper, we define the new generalized difference sequence spaces [V, λ, F, p, q]₀(Δ _v ^m ), [V, λ, F, p, q]₁(Δ _v ^m ) and [V, λ, F, p, q]_∞(Δ _v ^m ). We also study some inclusion relations between these spaces.     

A pull back theorem in the Adams spectral sequence

This paper proves that, for any generator x∈ExtA^s,tq（Zp,Zp）, if （1L ∧i）＊Ф＊（x）∈ExtA^s＋1,tq＋2q（H＊L∧M, Zp） is a permanent cycle in the Adams spectral sequence （ASS）, then b0x ∈ExtA^s＋1,tq＋q（Zp, Zp） also is a permenent cycle in the ASS. As an application, the paper obtains that h0hnhm∈ExtA^3,pnq＋p^mq＋q（Zp, Zp） is a permanent cycle in the ASS and it converges to elements of order p in the stable homotopy groups of spheres πp^nq＋p^mq＋q-3S, where p ≥5 is a prime, s ≤ 4, n ≥m＋2≥4 and M is the Moore spectrum.     

The Gleason’s problem for some polyharmonic and hyperbolic harmonic function spaces

Let Ω ⊆ ℝⁿ be a bounded convex domain with C ² boundary. For 0 < p, q ⩽ ∞ and a normal weight φ, the mixed norm space H _k ^p,q,φ (Ω) consists of all polyharmonic functions f of order k for which the mixed norm ∥ · ∥_p,q,φ < ∞. In this paper, we prove that the Gleason’s problem (Ω, a, H _k ^p,q,φ ) is always solvable for any reference point a ∈ Ω. Also, the Gleason’s problem for the polyharmonic φ-Bloch (little φ-Bloch) space is solvable. The parallel results for the hyperbolic harmonic mixed norm space are obtained.     

On Projections of Semi-Algebraic Sets Defined by Few Quadratic Inequalities

Let S⊂ℝ ^k+m be a compact semi-algebraic set defined by P ₁≥0,…,P _ℓ ≥0, where P _i ∈ℝ[X ₁,…,X _k ,Y ₁,…,Y _m ], and deg (P _i )≤2, 1≤i≤ℓ. Let π denote the standard projection from ℝ ^k+m onto ℝ ^m . We prove that for any q>0, the sum of the first q Betti numbers of π(S) is bounded by (k+m) ^{O(q ℓ)}. We also present an algorithm for computing the first q Betti numbers of π(S), whose complexity is . For fixed q and ℓ, both the bounds are polynomial in k+m. Multivariate refinement equation with nonnegative masks

This paper is concerned with multivariate refinement equations of the type where (?) is the unknown function defined on the s-dimensional Euclidean space Rs, a is a finitely supported nonnegative sequence on Zs, and M is an s×s dilation matrix with m := |detM|. We characterize the existence of L2-solution of refinement equation in terms of spectral radius of a certain finite matrix or transition operator associated with refinement mask a and dilation matrix M. For s = 1 and M = 2, the sufficient and necessary conditions are obtained to characterize the existence of continuous solution of this refinement equation.     

The bicompletion of an asymmetric normed linear space

A biBanach space is an asymmetric normed linear space (X,‖·‖) such that the normed linear space (X,‖·‖^s) is a Banach space, where ‖x‖^s= max {‖x‖,‖-x‖} for all x∈X. We prove that each asymmetric normed linear space (X,‖·‖) is isometrically isomorphic to a dense subspace of a biBanach space (Y,‖·‖_Y). Furthermore the space (Y,‖·‖_Y) is unique (up to isometric isomorphism). This revised version was published online in August 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.     

The Fine Spectra of the Difference Operator △ Over the Sequence Space bvp, （1 ≤ p 〈 ∞）^＊

The sequence space bvp consisting of all sequences （xk） such that （xk -xk-1） belongs to the space gp has recently been introduced by Basar and Altay [Ukrainian Math. J., 55（1）, 136-147（2003）]; where 1 ≤ p ≤ ∞. In the present paper, some results concerning with the continuous dual and f-dual, and the AD-property of the sequence space bvp have been given and the norm of the difference operator A acting on the sequence space bvp has been found. The fine spectrum with respect to the Goldberg＇s classification of the difference operator △ over the sequence space bvp has been determined, where 1≤p〈∞.     

On Vertices, focal curvatures and differential geometry of space curves

The focal curve of an immersed smooth curve γ : θ ↦ γ (θ), in Euclidean space ℝ^m+1, consists of the centres of its osculating hyperspheres. This curve may be parametrised in terms of the Frenet frame of γ (t, n₁, . . . , n_m), as C_γ (θ) = (γ +c₁n₁+ c₂n₂ + • • • + c_mn_m)(θ), where the coefficients c₁, . . . , c_m-1 are smooth functions that we call the focal curvatures of γ . We discovered a remarkable formula relating the Euclidean curvatures κ_i , i = 1, . . . ,m, of γ with its focal curvatures. We show that the focal curvatures satisfy a system of Frenet equations (not vectorial, but scalar!). We use the properties of the focal curvatures in order to give, for ℓ = 1, . . . ,m, necessary and sufficient conditions for the radius of the osculating ℓ-dimensional sphere to be critical. We also give necessary and sufficient conditions for a point of γ to be a vertex. Finally, we show explicitly the relations of the Frenet frame and the Euclidean curvatures of γ with the Frenet frame and the Euclidean curvatures of its focal curve C_γ.     

On the cohomology of orbit space of free ℤ<Subscript><Emphasis Type="Italic">p</Emphasis></Subscript>-actions on lens spaces

Let G = ℤ _p , p an odd prime, act freely on a finite-dimensional CW-complex X with mod p cohomology isomorphic to that of a lens space L ^2m−1(p; q ₁, …, q _m ). In this paper, we determine the mod p cohomology ring of the orbit space X/G, when p ² ∤ m.     

Orthogonal polynomials associated to a certain fourth order differential equation

We introduce orthogonal polynomials M_j^m,l(x)M_{j}^{\mu,\ell}(x) as eigenfunctions of a certain self-adjoint fourth order differential operator depending on two parameters μ∈ℂ and ℓ∈ℕ₀.     

Initial trace for a porous medium equation: I. The strong absorption case

We study the equation (E): u_t−Δu^m+u^q=0, (m, q>0) in Δ×ℝ₊, in a regular bounded open set Ω, or the whole space. We first prove that when 0<m<q, distributional solutions of (E) have an initial trace which is a Borel measure, then we study existence and uniqueness results with measure initial data. Sequence spaces and inverse of an infinite matrix

We give here some properties of the sets _α(uΔ) generalizing the space of generalized difference sequencesl ^∞(uΔ). Then we study spaces related to the sets of sequences that are strongly convergent or strongly bounded. Next we define from the sets of spaces that are (N,q) summable or bounded the sets of spaces that are (N,q)α-bounded orr-bounded. Then we give some properties of these spaces using Banach space of the forms _α.     

TT-eigentensors for the Lichnerowicz Laplacian on some asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds with warped products metrics

Let (M =]0, ∞[×N, g) be an asymptotically hyperbolic manifold of dimension n + 1 ≥ 3, equipped with a warped product metric. We show that there exist no TT L ²-eigentensors with eigenvalue in the essential spectrum of the Lichnerowicz Laplacian Δ _L . If (M, g) is the real hyperbolic space, there is no symmetric L ²-eigentensors of Δ _L .
