Some Applications of Besov Spaces on Fractals

Let F be a compact d-set in R^n with 0 〈 d ≤ n, which includes various kinds of fractals. The author establishes an embedding theorem for the Besov spaces Bpq^s（F） of Triebel and the Sobolev spaces W^1,P（F,d,μ） of Hajtasz when s 〉 1, 1 〈 p 〈∞ and 0 〈 q ≤ ∞. The author also gives some applications of the estimates of the entropy numbers in the estimates of the eigenvalues of some fractal pseudodifferential operators in the spaces Bpq^0（F） and Fpq^0（F）.

Interpolation of Herz Spaces and Applications

C. Herz introduced in [Hr] some new spaces to study properties of functions. An Interesting account, with many applications, of some particular cases of the generalized Herz spaces is given in [BS]. In this paper we first identify the duals of the generalized Herz spaces. Then, we characterize their intermediate spaces when the complex method of interpolation for families of spaces Is used. Applications are given that show the bounded ness of many operators on the generalized Herz spaces.

On Interpolation Spaces with the Gelfand-Phillips Property

In this paper we study interpolation spaces generated by some interpolation functors. We show that under some conditions for Banach couples X and Y the spaces dual to the orbits of elements are Gelfand—Philips spaces. Consequently, the ideal of nuclear operators from X to Y contains a copy of l¹. We give also an interpolation theorem for limited operators.

Real Interpolation of Generalized Besov-Hardy Spaces and Applications

In this paper we consider generalized Hardy spaces which include classical Hardy spaces and Hardy-Lorentz spaces as special cases. We give real interpolation results for such spaces. As applications, we solve an interpolation problem for Besov spaces of generalized smoothness and prove the boundedness of pseudodifferential operators acting both in these spaces and in the local Hardy spaces. For the latter spaces, we also obtain wavelet decompositions.     

Some Estimates for the Norm of the Bergman Projection on Besov Spaces

In this paper we obtain an estimate of the norm of the Bergman projection from L ^p (D, dλ) onto the Besov space B _p , 1 < p < + ∞. The result is asymptotically sharp when p → + ∞. Further for the case P : L ¹(D, dλ) → B ₁, we consider some weak type inequalities with the corresponding spaces.

On 2-Microlocal Herz Type Besov and Triebel-Lizorkin Spaces with Variable Exponents

In this paper, 2-microlocal Herz type Besov and Triebel-Lizorkin spaces with variable exponents are introduced for the first time. Then, we give characterizations of these spaces by so-called Peetre's maximal functions. Further, the atomic and molecular decompositions of these spaces are obtained. Finally, using the characterizations of the spaces by local means and molecular decomposition we obtain the wavelet characterizations.     

On Restrictions and Extensions of the Besov and Triebel-Lizorkin Spaces with Respect to Lipschitz Domains

The restrictions B^s_pq() and F^s_pq() of the Besov and Triebel–Lizorkinspaces of tempered distributions B^s_pq(Rⁿ) and F^s_pq(Rⁿ) to Lipschitzdomains Rⁿ are studied. For general values of parameters (sR,p>0, q>0) a ‘universal’ linear bounded extensionoperator from B^s_pq() and F^s_pq() into the corresponding spaceson Rⁿ is constructed. The construction is based on a new variantof the Calderón reproducing formula with kernels supportedin a fixed cone. Explicit characterizations of the elementsof B^s_pq() and F^s_pq() in terms of their values in are also obtained.

Local Expansions of Periodic Spline Interpolation with Some Applications

In this paper we prove some asymptotic expansions of the error of interpolation on equally spaced nodes with periodic smoothest splines of arbitrary degree on a uniform partition. We obtain a local expansion in terms of derivatives of the interpolate. Afterwards we apply this result to the asymptotic study of the numerical solution of periodic integral equations of the second kind by means of ϵ – collocation methods. We show some new superconvergence results and give particular forms of these expansions depending on the choices of the parameter ϵ. We finally give some numerical experiments, which corroborate the theory.     

On Convergence of Flat Multivariate Interpolation by Translation Kernels with Finite Smoothness

In this paper, we provide an alternate approach to the analysis of the limit of flat radial basis interpolation, thereby improving and expanding on the current understanding of this interesting problem.
