Let \({\varphi}\) be a Musielak–Orlicz function satisfying that, for any \({(x,\,t)\in{\mathbb R}^n \times [0, \infty)}\), \({\varphi(\cdot,\,t)}\) belongs to the Muckenhoupt weight class \({A_\infty({\mathbb R}^n)}\) with the critical weight exponent \({q(\varphi) \in [1,\,\infty)}\) and \({\varphi(x,\,\cdot)}\) is an Orlicz function with uniformly lower type \({p^{-}_{\varphi}}\) and uniformly upper type \({p^+_\varphi}\) satisfying \({q(\varphi) < p^{-}_{\varphi}\le p^{+}_{\varphi} < \infty}\). In this paper, the author obtains a sharp weighted bound involving \({A_\infty}\) constant for the Hardy–Littlewood maximal operator on the Musielak–Orlicz space \({L^{\varphi}}\). This result recovers the known sharp weighted estimate established by Hytönen et al. in [J. Funct. Anal. 263:3883–3899, 2012].  相似文献

The purpose of this work is to classify, for given integers \({m,\, n\geq 1}\), the bordism class of a closed smooth \({m}\)-manifold \({X^m}\) with a free smooth involution \({\tau}\) with respect to the validity of the Borsuk–Ulam property that for every continuous map \({\phi : X^m \to \mathbb{R}^n}\) there exists a point \({x\in X^m}\) such that \({\phi (x)=\phi (\tau (x))}\). We will classify a given free \({\mathbb{Z}_2}\)-bordism class \({\alpha}\) according to the three possible cases that (a) all representatives \({(X^m, \tau)}\) of \({\alpha}\) satisfy the Borsuk–Ulam property; (b) there are representatives \({({X_{1}^{m}}, \tau_1)}\) and \({({X_{2}^{m}}, \tau_2)}\) of \({\alpha}\) such that \({({X_{1}^{m}}, \tau_1)}\) satisfies the Borsuk–Ulam property but \({({X_{2}^{m}}, \tau_2)}\) does not; (c) no representative \({(X^m, \tau)}\) of \({\alpha}\) satisfies the Borsuk–Ulam property.  相似文献

Let \({\Sigma_r}\) be the symmetric group acting on \({r}\) letters, \({K}\) be a field of characteristic 2, and \({\lambda}\) and \({\mu}\) be partitions of \({r}\) in at most two parts. Denote the permutation module corresponding to the Young subgroup \({\Sigma_\lambda}\), in \({\Sigma_r}\), by \({M^\lambda}\), and the indecomposable Young module by \({Y^\mu}\). We give an explicit presentation of the endomorphism algebra \({{\rm End}_{k[\Sigma_r]}(Y^\mu)}\) using the idempotents found by Doty et al. (J Algebra 307(1):377–396, 2007).  相似文献

For each \({\alpha\in[0,2)}\) we consider the eigenvalue problem \({-{\rm div}(|x|^\alpha \nabla u)=\lambda u}\) in a bounded domain \({\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^N}\) (\({N\geq 2}\)) with smooth boundary and \({0\in \Omega}\) subject to the homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition. Denote by \({\lambda_1(\alpha)}\) the first eigenvalue of this problem. Using \({\Gamma}\)-convergence arguments we prove the continuity of the function \({\lambda_1}\) with respect to \({\alpha}\) on the interval \({[0,2)}\).  相似文献

Let \({\Omega}\) be a Lipschitz bounded domain of \({\mathbb{R}^N}\), \({N\geq2}\), and let \({u_p\in W_0^{1,p}(\Omega)}\) denote the p-torsion function of \({\Omega}\), p > 1. It is observed that the value 1 for the Cheeger constant \({h(\Omega)}\) is threshold with respect to the asymptotic behavior of up, as \({p\rightarrow 1^+}\), in the following sense: when \({h(\Omega) > 1}\), one has \({\lim_{p\rightarrow 1^+}\left\|u_{p}\right\| _{L^\infty(\Omega)}=0}\), and when \({h(\Omega) < 1}\), one has \({\lim_{p\rightarrow 1^+}\left\|u_p\right\| _{L^\infty(\Omega)}=\infty}\). In the case \({h(\Omega)=1}\), it is proved that \({\limsup_{p\rightarrow1^+}\left\|u_p\right\|_{L^\infty(\Omega)}<\infty}\). For a radial annulus \({\Omega_{a,b}}\), with inner radius a and outer radius b, it is proved that \({\lim_{p\rightarrow 1^+}\left\|u_p\right\| _{L^\infty(\Omega_{a,b})}=0}\) when \({h(\Omega_{a,b})=1}\).  相似文献

Let F be a non-Archimedean local field of characteristic 0, let G be the group of F-rational points of a connected reductive group defined over F and let \({G\prime}\) be the group of F-rational points of its quasi-split inner form. Given standard modules \({I(\tau, \nu )}\) and \({I(\tau\prime, \nu\prime)}\) for G and \({G\prime}\) respectively with \({\tau\prime}\) a generic tempered representation, such that the Harish-Chandra \({\mu}\)-function of a representation in the supercuspidal support of \({\tau}\) agrees with the one of a generic essentially square-integral representation in some Jacquet module of \({\tau\prime}\) (after a suitable identification of the underlying spaces under which \({\nu = \nu\prime}\)), we show that \({I(\tau, \nu)}\) is irreducible whenever \({I(\tau\prime, \nu\prime)}\) is. The conditions are satisfied if the Langlands quotients \({J(\tau, \nu})\) and \({J(\tau\prime, \nu\prime)}\) of respectively \({I(\tau, \nu)}\) and \({I(\tau\prime, \nu\prime)}\) lie in the same Vogan L-packet (whenever this Vogan L-packet is defined), proving that, for any Vogan L-packet, all the standard modules with Langlands quotient in a given Vogan L-packet are irreducible, if and only if this Vogan L-packet contains a generic representation. This result for generic Vogan L-packets was proven for quasi-split orthogonal and symplectic groups by Moeglin-Waldspurger and used in their proof of the general case of the local Gan-Gross-Prasad conjectures for these groups.  相似文献

We consider a broad class of linear Perron–Frobenius operators \({\Lambda:X \rightarrow X}\), where \({X}\) is a real Banach space of \({C^m}\) functions. We prove the existence of a strictly positive \({C^m}\) eigenvector \({v}\) with eigenvalue \({r=r(\Lambda) =}\) the spectral radius of \({\Lambda}\). We prove (see Theorem 6.5 in Sect. 6 of this paper) that \({r(\Lambda)}\) is an algebraically simple eigenvalue and that, if \({\sigma(\Lambda)}\) denotes the spectrum of the complexification of \({\Lambda,\sigma(\Lambda) \backslash \{r(\Lambda)\}\subseteq \{\zeta \in \mathbb{C} \big| |\zeta| \le r_*\}}\), where \({r_* < r(\Lambda)}\). Furthermore, if \({u \in X}\) is any strictly positive function, \({(\frac 1r \Lambda)^k(u) \rightarrow s_u v}\) as \({k \rightarrow \infty}\), where \({s_u > 0}\) and convergence is in the norm topology on \({X}\). In applications to the computation of Hausdorff dimension, one is given a parametrized family \({\Lambda_s,s > s_*}\), of such operators and one wants to determine the (unique) value \({s_0}\) such that \({r(\Lambda_{s_0})=1}\). In another paper (Falk and Nussbaum in C\({^{\rm m}}\) Eigenfunctions of Perron–Frobenius operators and a new approach to numerical computation of Hausdorff dimension, submitted) we prove that explicit estimates on the partial derivatives of the positive eigenvector \({v_s}\) of \({\Lambda_s}\) can be obtained and that this information can be used to give rigorous, sharp upper and lower bounds for \({s_0}\).  相似文献

For a fairly general reductive group \({G_{/\mathbb{Q}_p}}\), we explicitly compute the space of locally algebraic vectors in the Breuil–Herzig construction \({\Pi(\rho)^{ord}}\), for a potentially semistable Borel-valued representation \({\rho}\) of \({Gal(\bar{\mathbb{Q}}_p/\mathbb{Q}_p)}\). The point being we deal with the whole representation, not just its socle—and we go beyond \({GL_n(\mathbb{Q}_p)}\). In the case of \({GL_2(\mathbb{Q}_p)}\), this relation is one of the key properties of the \({p}\)-adic local Langlands correspondence. We give an application to \({p}\)-adic local-global compatibility for \({\Pi(\rho)^{ord}}\) for modular representations, but with no indecomposability assumptions.  相似文献

Let \({\mathcal{M}}\) be a semifinite von Neumann algebra with a faithful, normal, semifinite trace \({\tau}\) and E be a strongly symmetric Banach function space on \({[0,\tau({\bf 1}))}\) . We show that an operator x in the unit sphere of \({E(\mathcal{M}, \tau)}\) is k-extreme, \({k \in {\mathbb{N}}}\) , whenever its singular value function \({\mu(x)}\) is k-extreme and one of the following conditions hold (i) \({\mu(\infty, x) = \lim_{t\to\infty}\mu(t, x) = 0}\) or (ii) \({n(x)\mathcal{M}n(x^*) = 0}\) and \({|x| \geq \mu(\infty, x)s(x)}\) , where n(x) and s(x) are null and support projections of x, respectively. The converse is true whenever \({\mathcal{M}}\) is non-atomic. The global k-rotundity property follows, that is if \({\mathcal{M}}\) is non-atomic then E is k-rotund if and only if \(E(\mathcal{M}, \tau)\) is k-rotund. As a consequence of the noncommutative results we obtain that f is a k-extreme point of the unit ball of the strongly symmetric function space E if and only if its decreasing rearrangement \({\mu(f)}\) is k-extreme and \({|f| \geq \mu(\infty,f)}\) . We conclude with the corollary on orbits Ω(g) and Ω′(g). We get that f is a k-extreme point of the orbit \({\Omega(g),\,g \in L_1 + L_{\infty}}\) , or \({\Omega'(g),\,g \in L_1[0, \alpha),\,\alpha < \infty}\) , if and only if \({\mu(f) = \mu(g)}\) and \({|f| \geq \mu(\infty, f)}\) . From this we obtain a characterization of k-extreme points in Marcinkiewicz spaces.  相似文献

Let \({{\mathbb{R}}}\) and Y be the set of real numbers and a Banach space respectively, and \({f, g :{\mathbb{R}} \to Y}\). We prove the Ulam-Hyers stability theorems for the Pexider-quadratic functional equation \({f(x + y) + f(x - y) = 2f(x) + 2g(y)}\) and the Drygas functional equation \({f(x + y) + f(x - y) = 2f(x) + f(y) + f(-y)}\) in the restricted domains of form \({\Gamma_d := \Gamma \cap \{(x, y) \in {\mathbb{R}}^2 : |x| + |y| \ge d\}}\), where \({\Gamma}\) is a rotation of \({B \times B \subset {\mathbb{R}}^2}\) and \({B^c}\) is of the first category. As a consequence we obtain asymptotic behaviors of the equations in a set \({\Gamma_d \subset {\mathbb{R}}^2}\) of Lebesgue measure zero.  相似文献

We use the variational concept of \({\Gamma}\)-convergence to prove existence, stability and exhibit the geometric structure of four families of stationary solutions to the singularly perturbed parabolic equation \({u_t=\epsilon^2 {\rm div}(k\nabla u)+f(u,x)}\), for \({(t,x)\in \mathbb{R}^+\times\Omega}\), where \({\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^n}\), \({n\geq 1}\), supplied with no-flux boundary condition. The novelty here lies in the fact that the roots of the bistable function f are not isolated, meaning that the graphs of its roots are allowed to have contact or intersect each other along a Lipschitz-continuous (n ? 1)-dimensional hypersurface \({\gamma \subset \Omega}\); across this hypersurface, the stable equilibria may have corners. The case of intersecting roots stems from the phenomenon known as exchange of stability which is characterized by \({f(\cdot,x)}\) having only two roots.  相似文献

In this paper, we continue the study of semitotal domination in graphs in [Discrete Math. 324, 13–18 (2014)]. A set \({S}\) of vertices in \({G}\) is a semitotal dominating set of \({G}\) if it is a dominating set of \({G}\) and every vertex in \({S}\) is within distance 2 of another vertex of \({S}\). The semitotal domination number, \({{\gamma_{t2}}(G)}\), is the minimum cardinality of a semitotal dominating set of \({G}\). This domination parameter is squeezed between arguably the two most important domination parameters; namely, the domination number, \({\gamma (G)}\), and the total domination number, \({{\gamma_{t}}(G)}\). We observe that \({\gamma (G) \leq {\gamma_{t2}}(G) \leq {\gamma_{t}}(G)}\). A claw-free graph is a graph that does not contain \({K_{1, \, 3}}\) as an induced subgraph. We prove that if \({G}\) is a connected, claw-free, cubic graph of order \({n \geq 10}\), then \({{\gamma_{t2}}(G) \leq 4n/11}\).  相似文献

We call the \({\delta}\)-vector of an integral convex polytope of dimension d flat if the \({\delta}\)-vector is of the form \({(1,0,\ldots,0,a,\ldots,a,0,\ldots,0)}\), where \({a \geq 1}\). In this paper, we give the complete characterization of possible flat \({\delta}\)-vectors. Moreover, for an integral convex polytope \({\mathcal{P}\subset \mathbb{R}^N}\) of dimension d, we let \({i(\mathcal{P},n)=|n\mathcal{P}\cap \mathbb{Z}^N|}\) and \({i^*(\mathcal{P},n)=|n(\mathcal{P} {\setminus}\partial \mathcal{P})\cap \mathbb{Z}^N|}\). By this characterization, we show that for any \({d \geq 1}\) and for any \({k,\ell \geq 0}\) with \({k+\ell \leq d-1}\), there exist integral convex polytopes \({\mathcal{P}}\) and \({\mathcal{Q}}\) of dimension d such that (i) For \({t=1,\ldots,k}\), we have \({i(\mathcal{P},t)=i(\mathcal{Q},t),}\) (ii) For \({t=1,\ldots,\ell}\), we have \({i^*(\mathcal{P},t)=i^*(\mathcal{Q},t)}\), and (iii) \({i(\mathcal{P},k+1) \neq i(\mathcal{Q},k+1)}\) and \({i^*(\mathcal{P},\ell+1)\neq i^*(\mathcal{Q},\ell+1)}\).  相似文献

We prove a Beurling-Blecher-Labuschagne theorem for \({H^\infty}\)-invariant spaces of \({L^p(\mathcal{M},\tau)}\) when \({0 < p \leq\infty}\), using Arveson’s non-commutative Hardy space \({H^\infty}\) in relation to a von Neumann algebra \({\mathcal{M}}\) with a semifinite, faithful, normal tracial weight \({\tau}\). Using the main result, we are able to completely characterize all \({H^\infty}\)-invariant subspaces of \({L^p(\mathcal{M} \rtimes_\alpha \mathbb{Z},\tau)}\), where \({\mathcal{M} \rtimes_\alpha \mathbb{Z} }\) is a crossed product of a semifinite von Neumann algebra \({\mathcal{M}}\) by the integer group \({\mathbb{Z}}\), and \({H^\infty}\) is a non-selfadjoint crossed product of \({\mathcal{M}}\) by \({\mathbb{Z}^+}\). As an example, we characterize all \({H^\infty}\)-invariant subspaces of the Schatten p-class \({S^p(\mathcal{H})}\), where \({H^\infty}\) is the lower triangular subalgebra of \({B(\mathcal{H})}\), for each \({0 < p \leq\infty}\).  相似文献

Let \({\Omega}\) a bounded domain in \({\mathbb{R} ^N }\), and let \({u\in C^1 (\overline{\Omega})}\) a weak solution of the following overdetermined BVP: \({-\nabla (g(|\nabla u|)|\nabla u|^{-1}\nabla u)=f(|x|,u)}\), \({ u > 0 }\) in \({\Omega }\) and \({u=0, \ |\nabla u(x)|=\lambda (|x|)}\) on \({\partial \Omega }\), where \({g\in C([0,+\infty)\cap C^1 ((0,+\infty ) ) }\) with \({g(0)=0}\), \({g'(t) > 0}\) for \({t > 0}\), \({f\in C([0,+\infty ) \times [0, +\infty ) )}\), f is nonincreasing in \({|x|}\), \({\lambda \in C([0, +\infty )) }\) and \({\lambda }\) is positive and nondecreasing. We show that \({\Omega }\) is a ball and u satisfies some “local” kind of symmetry. The proof is based on the method of continuous Steiner symmetrization.  相似文献

We consider the nonlinear curl-curl problem \({\nabla\times\nabla\times U + V(x) U= \Gamma(x)|U|^{p-1}U}\) in \({\mathbb{R}^3}\) related to the Kerr nonlinear Maxwell equations for fully localized monochromatic fields. We search for solutions as minimizers (ground states) of the corresponding energy functional defined on subspaces (defocusing case) or natural constraints (focusing case) of \({H({\rm curl};\mathbb{R}^3)}\). Under a cylindrical symmetry assumption corresponding to a photonic fiber geometry on the functions V and \({\Gamma}\) the variational problem can be posed in a symmetric subspace of \({H({\rm curl};\mathbb{R}^3)}\). For a defocusing case \({{\rm sup} \Gamma < 0}\) with large negative values of \({\Gamma}\) at infinity we obtain ground states by the direct minimization method. For the focusing case \({{\rm inf} \Gamma > 0}\) the concentration compactness principle produces ground states under the assumption that zero lies outside the spectrum of the linear operator \({\nabla \times \nabla \times +V(x)}\). Examples of cylindrically symmetric functions V are provided for which this holds.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the Schrödinger operator ?Δ + V on \({\mathbb R^d}\), where the nonnegative potential V belongs to the reverse Hölder class \({B_{q_{_1}}}\) for some \({q_{_1}\geq \frac{d}{2}}\) with d ≥ 3. Let \({H^1_L(\mathbb R^d)}\) denote the Hardy space related to the Schrödinger operator L = ?Δ + V and \({BMO_L(\mathbb R^d)}\) be the dual space of \({H^1_L(\mathbb R^d)}\). We show that the Schrödinger type operator \({\nabla(-\Delta +V)^{-\beta}}\) is bounded from \({H^1_L(\mathbb R^d)}\) into \({L^p(\mathbb R^d)}\) for \({p=\frac{d}{d-(2\beta-1)}}\) with \({ \frac{1}{2}<\beta<\frac{3}{2} }\) and that it is also bounded from \({L^p(\mathbb R^d)}\) into \({BMO_L(\mathbb R^d)}\) for \({p=\frac{d}{2\beta-1}}\) with \({ \frac{1}{2}<\beta< 2}\).  相似文献

Let R be a commutative ring and let \({n >1}\) be an integer. We introduce a simple graph, denoted by \({\Gamma_t(M_n(R))}\), which we call the trace graph of the matrix ring \({M_n(R)}\), such that its vertex set is \({M_n(R)^{\ast}}\) and such that two distinct vertices A and B are joined by an edge if and only if \({{\rm Tr} (AB)=0}\) where \({ {\rm Tr} (AB)}\) denotes the trace of the matrix AB. We prove that \({\Gamma_t(M_n(R))}\) is connected with \({{\rm diam}(\Gamma_{t}(M_{n}(R)))=2}\) and \({{\rm gr} (\Gamma_t(M_n(R)))=3}\). We investigate also the interplay between the ring-theoretic properties of R and the graph-theoretic properties of \({\Gamma_t(M_n(R))}\). Hence, we use the notion of the irregularity index of a graph to characterize rings with exactly one nontrivial ideal.  相似文献

We investigate Weyl type asymptotics of functional-difference operators associated to mirror curves of special del Pezzo Calabi-Yau threefolds. These operators are \({H(\zeta) = U + U^{-1} + V + \zeta V^{-1}}\) and \({H_{m,n} = U + V + q^{-mn}U^{-m}V^{-n}}\), where \({U}\) and \({V}\) are self-adjoint Weyl operators satisfying \({UV = q^{2}VU}\) with \({q = {\rm e}^{{\rm i}\pi b^{2}}}\), \({b > 0}\) and \({\zeta > 0}\), \({m, n \in \mathbb{N}}\). We prove that \({H(\zeta)}\) and \({H_{m,n}}\) are self-adjoint operators with purely discrete spectrum on \({L^{2}(\mathbb{R})}\). Using the coherent state transform we find the asymptotical behaviour for the Riesz mean \({\sum_{j\ge 1}(\lambda - \lambda_{j})_{+}}\) as \({\lambda \to \infty}\) and prove the Weyl law for the eigenvalue counting function \({N(\lambda)}\) for these operators, which imply that their inverses are of trace class.  相似文献

In the space \({L_{2}(\mathbf{R}^{d}) (d \le 3)}\) we consider the Schrödinger operator \({H_{\gamma}=-{\Delta}+ V(\mathbf{x})\cdot+\gamma W(\mathbf{x})\cdot}\), where \({V(\mathbf{x})=V(x_{1}, x_{2}, \dots, x_{d})}\) is a periodic function with respect to all the variables, \({\gamma}\) is a small real coupling constant and the perturbation \({W(\mathbf{x})}\) tends to zero sufficiently fast as \({|\mathbf{x}|\rightarrow\infty}\). We study so called virtual bound levels of the operator \({H_\gamma}\), i.e., those eigenvalues of \({H_\gamma}\) which are born at the moment \({\gamma=0}\) in a gap \({(\lambda_-,\,\lambda_+)}\) of the spectrum of the unperturbed operator \({H_0=-\Delta+ V(\mathbf{x})\cdot}\) from an edge of this gap while \({\gamma}\) increases or decreases. We assume that the dispersion function of H0, branching from an edge of \({(\lambda_-,\lambda_+)}\), is non-degenerate in the Morse sense at its extremal set. For a definite perturbation \({(W(\mathbf{x})\ge 0)}\) we show that if d ≤ 2, then in the gap there exist virtual eigenvalues which are born from this edge. We investigate their number and an asymptotic behavior of them and of the corresponding eigenfunctions as \({\gamma\rightarrow 0}\). For an indefinite perturbation we estimate the multiplicity of virtual bound levels. In particular, we show that if d = 3 and both edges of the gap \({(\lambda_-,\,\lambda_+)}\) are non-degenerate, then under additional conditions there is a threshold for the birth of the impurity spectrum in the gap, i.e., \({\sigma(H_\gamma)\cap(\lambda_-,\,\lambda_+)=\emptyset}\) for a small enough \({|\gamma|}\).  相似文献
