The dynamics of mechanical systems with dry friction elements, modelledby set-valued force laws, can be described by differential inclusions.An equilibrium set of such a differential inclusion corresponds to astationary mode for which the friction elements are sticking. Theattractivity properties of the equilibrium set are of major importancefor the overall dynamic behaviour of this type of systems. Conditionsfor the attractivity of the equilibrium set of MDOF mechanical systemswith multiple friction elements are presented. These results areobtained by application of a generalisation of LaSalle's principle fordifferential inclusions of Filippov-type. Besides passive systems, alsosystems with negative viscous damping are considered. For such systems,only local attractivity of the equilibrium set can be assured undercertain conditions. Moreover, an estimate for the region of attractionis given for these cases. The effectiveness of the results isillustrated by means of both 1DOF and MDOF examples.  相似文献

A new method is presented for estimating regions of asymptoticstability for autonomous nonlinear dynamical systems. The underlyinganalysis uses a combination of Lyapunov theory, simulation and sometopological properties of the stability boundary. The advantages of themethod are the accuracy of estimation of the true stability boundary,its numerical robustness and its applicability to wide classes ofdynamical systems. The main limitation is that a global Lyapunovfunction for the system must be available.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the asymptotic stability of the zero solution and boundedness of all solutions of a certain third order nonlinear ordinary vector differential equation. Hurley in [5] gave an alternative definition of the chain recurrent set of a flow in terms of finite sequences of orbit segments, and extended Conley's characterization to flows on any metric space. Sufficient conditions of technical stability in measure are established for nonstationary automatic-control systems with variable structure and logic control laws dependent on the mismatch error and its derivatives of finite order for all admissible initial perturbations from a predefined measurable set of initial perturbations. The associated systems of differential equations contain time-dependent coefficients. The logic control laws are described by a variable jump control function of the mismatch coordinate and its derivatives of finite order that is no higher than that of the initial system of equations. Using a signal and its derivatives for control increases the quality of discontinuous control. The relationship between the eigenvalues of the quadratic forms of the corresponding Liapunov functions and the criteria of technical stability is revealed. In this paper we prove nonlinear stability results for the numerical approximation of relative equilibria of equivariant parabolic partial differential equations in one space dimension. Relative equilibria are solutions which are equilibria in an appropriately comoving frame and occur frequently in systems with underlying symmetry. By transforming the PDE into a corresponding PDAE via a freezing ansatz [2] the relative equilibrium can be analyzed as a stationary solution of the PDAE. The main result is the fact that nonlinear stability properties are inherited by the numerical approximation with finite differences on a finite equidistant grid with appropriate boundary conditions. This is a generalization of the results in [14] and is illustrated by numerical computations for the quintic complex Ginzburg Landau equation.   相似文献

An approach is expounded to the study of the bifurcation stability of doubly curved shells of revolution. The microdamage of an isotropic material is considered as empty spherical pores randomly dispersed over the volume, their concentration increasing with load. A damaged inhomogeneous material is modeled by a continuous physically nonlinear medium whose nonlinear deformation depends on how the material fails and the microstrength is distributed. A bifurcation stability problem is formulated based on the concept of continuous loading within the framework of the Kirchhoff–Love hypotheses. 对于完全强非线性系统:x^.. g(x) f(x,x^.)x^.=0,提出求周期近似解析解以及这些解的稳定性的新方法。式中,g(x)、f(x,x^.)x^.分别是x,x、x^.的非线性函数。方法是基于能量原理,求出其一次近似解析解,然后引进牛顿迭代思想,得到周期系统数微分方程,最后根据谐波平衡原理及最小二乘法求其高次近似解,高次近似解的表达式由计算机辅助推导。计算参考文献[2]和[3]中的例题,令其中ε=1,研究该完全强非线性系统的周期解及其稳定性,本文方法与龙格-库塔数值法算得的结果对照如图1-3所示,它们表明本文方法不仅有效而且精度较高。  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the component-wise regularity of the solution to the stationary Maxwell or Stokes systems. We assume that there is a surface in R3, regarded as an interface, and the solution u to one of the systems is smooth except for this . Then, under these assumptions, we can show that some components of u are smooth across . In the Maxwell system, the normal component of u is always regular across . On the other hand, in the Stokes system, the singularity of u across can only arise to the normal derivatives of its tangential components. Furthermore, these results are shown to be optimal.  相似文献

In the calculation of periodic oscillations of nonlinear systems –so-called limit cycles – approximative and systematic engineeringmethods of linear system analysis are known. The techniques, working inthe frequency domain, perform a quasi-linearization of the nonlinear system,replacing nonlinearities by amplitude-dependent describing functions.Frequently, the resulting equations for the amplitude and frequency ofpresumed limit cycles are solved directly by a graphical procedure in aNyquist plane or by solving the nonlinear equations or a parameteroptimization problem. In this paper, an indirect numerical approach isdescribed which shows that, for a system of nonlinear differentialequations, the eigenvalues of the quasi-linear system simply indicateall limit cycles and, additionally, yield stability regions for thelinearized case. The method is applicable to systems with multiplenonlinearities which may be static or dynamic. It is demonstrated foran example of aircraft nose gear shimmy dynamics in the presence ofdifferent nonlinearities and the results are compared with those fromsimulation.  相似文献

In many practical systems, limit cycles can be predicted with suitable precision by frequency domain methods using describing functions. Within such an approach, limit cycles can be predicted using the “eigenvalue method” [Somieski, G., Nonlinear Dynamics 26(1), 2001, 3–22]. This contribution presents a novel and advantageous implementation of this method, using singular value instead of eigenvalue calculations, and enhancing computational efficiency by avoiding a so called “frequency iteration”.
