Vibrational modes in suspensions of soft colloids in a fluid can be detected experimentally by Brillouin light scattering. Besides the usual acoustic mode, being essentially the longitudinal phonon of the liquid matrix, an "opticlike" mode is observed in giant starlike micelles at low volume fractions. We propose that this opticlike mode is due mainly to the internal vibration of each hairy particle.  相似文献

The electronic relaxation time in silver chalcogenides - typical ionic-electronic conductors - is investigated using a continuum model. The contributions of longitudinal collective modes to the inverse relaxation time are calculated. It is found that in these materials the aperiodic modes, the diffusion mode and the over-damped acoustic phonon modes, play the major role in the electronic scattering processes and the effects of the periodic modes, the damped acoustic and optical phonon modes, are trivial, in contrast to the cases in ordinary polar crystalline solids.  相似文献

在二维正方Heisenberg铁磁系统的基础上建立了磁振子-声子相互作用模型. 利用松原格林函数理论研究了系统的声子衰减,计算了布里渊区的主要对称点线上的声子衰减曲线. 发现在第一布里渊区,在Δ线上,横向声频支声子无衰减,在Z线上,纵向声频支声子无衰减;横向声频支声子衰减比纵向声频支声子衰减至少大一个数量级,并讨论了各项参数的变化对横向声频支声子衰减与纵向声频支声子衰减的影响. 根据声子衰减与声子寿命的关系,声子衰减与声子态密度的关系,可以讨论横向声频支声子与纵向声频支声子的寿命与态密度. 关键词: 磁振子-声子相互作用 横向声频支声子衰减 纵向声频支声子衰减 声子寿命  相似文献

A magnon-phonon interaction model is developed on the basis of a two-dimensional square Heisenberg ferromagnetic system. By using Matsubara Green function theory we studied the transverse and longitudinal acoustic phonon dampings and calculated the transverse and longitudinal acoustic phonon damping curves on the main symmetric point and line in the first Brillouin zone. It is found that on the line Δ there is no damping for transverse acoustic phonon and on the line Z there is no damping for longitudinal acoustic phonon. In the first Brillouin zone the damping of transverse acoustic phonons is at least one order larger than that of longitudinal acoustic phonons. The influences of various parameters on transverse and longitudinal acoustic phonon dampings are discussed and the lifetime and the density of state of transverse and longitudinal acoustic phonons are explored as well according to the relation of the phonon damping and its lifetime and the relation of the phonon damping and its density of state.  相似文献

Recent papers have initiated interesting comparisons between aeroacoustic theory and the results of acoustic scattering problems. In this paper, we consider some aspects of these comparisons for acoustic scattering by a sphere. We give a derivation of Curle's equation for a specific class of linear acoustic scattering problems, and, in response to previous claims to the contrary, give an explicit confirmation of Curle's equation for plane wave scattering by a stationary rigid sphere of arbitrary size in an inviscid fluid. We construct the complete solution for scattering by a rigid sphere in a viscous fluid, and show that the neglect of viscous terms in Curie's equation yields an incomplete prediction of the far field dipole pressure. We also consider the null field solution of the sphere scattering problem, and give its extension to the vorticity modes associated with viscosity. Finally, we construct a solution for an elastic sphere in a viscous fluid, and show that the rigid sphere/null field solution is recovered from the limit of infinite longitudinal and shear wave speeds in the elastic solid.  相似文献

Decay dynamics of the acoustic phonon mode in ZnO nanoparticles, synthesized using the wet chemical technique, is investigated. It is well established that optic phonon modes in a semiconductor favor an anharmonic decay dynamics; in contrast, acoustic modes evidence a rather complex decay behavior, manifesting their dependence on other parameters such as particle size, impurity species, etc. At lower temperatures (T < 500 K), the anharmonic decay process, caused by the weakening of the bond strength, is responsible for the observed decrease in the acoustic mode wavenumbers. However, particle growth due to the coalescence sintering process is prominent at higher temperatures (>600 K) and governs the softening behavior of the acoustic phonon mode towards the Rayleigh line. On the other hand, the precursor species and reaction byproducts on the surface of ZnO nanoparticles induce an anomalous softening behavior in the decay dynamics at specific temperatures by damping the acoustic phonon mode. 测量了采用离子注入法得到掺N的n-SiC晶体从100—450 K的拉曼光谱. 研究了SiC一级拉曼谱、电子拉曼散射谱及二级拉曼谱的温度效应. 实验结果表明,大部分SiC一级拉曼峰会随温度升高向低波数方向移动,但声学模红移(峰值位置向低频方向移动)的幅度较光学模小. 重掺杂4H-SiC的纵光学声子等离子体激元耦合(LOPC)模频率随温度升高表现出先蓝移(峰值位置向高频方向移动)后红移的变化趋势,表明LOPC模的温度特性不仅会受到非简谐效应的影响,还与实际已离化杂质浓度有关. 电子拉曼散射峰线宽随温度升高而增 关键词: 碳化硅 温度 纵光学声子等离子体激元耦合模 电子拉曼散射  相似文献

Based on a semiclassical Boltzmann transport equation in random phase approximation, we develop a theoretical model to understand low-field carrier transport in biased bilayer graphene, which takes into account the charged impurity scattering, acoustic phonon scattering, and surface polar phonon scattering as three main scattering mechanisms. The surface polar optical phonon scattering of carriers in supported bilayer graphene is thoroughly studied using the Rode iteration method. By considering the metal–BLG contact resistance as the only one free fitting parameter, we find that the carrier density dependence of the calculated total conductivity agrees well with that observed in experiment under different temperatures. The conductivity results also suggest that in high carrier density range, the metal–BLG contact resistance can be a significant factor in determining the BLG conductivity at low temperature, and both acoustic phonon scattering and surface polar phonon scattering play important roles at higher temperature, especially for BLG samples with a low doping concentration, which can compete with charged impurity scattering.  相似文献

In studying resonant Raman scattering in the vicinity of the A and B excitons of CdSe, we have observed three new Raman peaks. Two of the peaks have been identified as two-phonon modes consisting of a longitudinal optical (LO) phonon plus respectively a transverse acoustic (TA) and a longitudinal acoustic (LA) phonon. A theory which involves the scattering of photoexcited B excitons to the A exciton by acoustic phonons via the piezoelectric exciton-phonon interaction was found to explain quantitatively the peak positions, lineshape and resonance enhancements of the observed peaks.  相似文献

The effect of valence changes due to f?d electronic transitions on phonons is studied. A large electronic density of states at the Fermi-energy in the intermediate valence state causes significant softening of the longitudinal acoustic and optic phonons and large phonon line-widths. These phonon renormalizations due to strong electron-lattice coupling are largest for phonon wavevectors q along the (111)-direction and maximal at the zone-boundary for LO modes and nearly half-way towards the zone-boundary in the case of LA mode. The results agree well with recent neutron scattering data on Sm0.75Y0.25S.  相似文献

Spectra of longitudinal and transverse waves were obtained experimentally in liquid and solid two-dimensional complex (dusty) plasmas at different kinetic temperatures. As the temperature increased and the phase state of the plasma changed from solid to liquid, the phonon spectra of both longitudinal and transverse modes broadened (especially at high wave numbers), indicating increased damping. The results of studying the phonon spectra of carbon nanotubes within the framework of the periodic-cluster model are presented. Special attention is paid to the phonon spectrum of double-wall nanotubes. It is shown that the spectrum is separated into two subbands corresponding to the acoustic and optical vibrational modes. A specific feature of the phonon dispersion curves is their “doublet” character. The spectrum has an acoustic mode corresponding to longitudinal oscillations of the two walls of a double-wall carbon nanotube with respect to each other.  相似文献

The collective modes in two Fokker-Planck Coulomb systems are studied in one dimension and in the long wavelength limit. The Fokker-Planck “friction coefficient”, which can be related to the viscosity of the medium through the Stokes' law, is treated as a parameter. In a single component system it is shown under what circumstances the propagative plasma mode can become a diffusive mode. Depending on an inequality involving the friction coefficient and the plasmon frequency, the collective mode can illustrate certain properties of the so-called central peak. A two-component Vlasov-Fokker-Planck system exhibits three modes analogous to the Rayleigh scattering in a viscous fluid.  相似文献

利用拉曼散射技术对N型4H-SiC单晶材料进行了30~300 K温度范围的光谱测量。实验结果表明,随着温度的升高,N型4H-SiC单晶材料的拉曼峰峰位向低波数方向移动,峰宽逐渐增宽。分析认为,晶格振动随着温度的升高而随之加剧,其振动恢复力会逐渐减小,使振动频率降低;原子相对运动会随温度的升高而加剧,使得原子之间及晶胞之间的相互作用减弱,致使声学模和光学模皆出现红移现象。随着温度的升高,峰宽逐渐增宽。这是由于随着温度的升高声子数逐渐增加,增加的声子进一步增加了散射概率,从而降低了声子的平均寿命,而声子的平均寿命与峰宽成反比,因此随着温度的升高峰宽逐渐增宽。声子模强度随温度升高呈现不同规律,E2(LA),E2(TA),E1(TA)和A1(LA)声子模随着温度升高强度单调增加,而E2(TO),E1(TO)和A1(LO)声子模强度出现了先增后减的明显变化,在138 K强度出现极大值。分析认为造成原因是由于当温度高于138 K时,高能量的声子分裂成多个具有更低能量的声子所致。  相似文献

We investigated waveguides in acoustic band-gap materials consisting of steel cylinders in a liquid with viscous damping. Numerical results show that when the viscous penetration depth is comparable to the structural length scale, linear defect states fall in complete acoustic band gaps forming waveguides. It is also found that the magnitude of the viscosity in the liquid has an influence on the frequency of waveguides, that large viscous damping can make the defect modes ascend. An expected frequency of waveguides can be obtained by modulating the viscous damping parameter θ.  相似文献

On the basis of the generalized variational principle for dissipative continuum mechanics, a system of generalized Biot’s equations is derived to describe the wave propagation in a two-phase porous permeable medium in the presence of shear relaxation in the pore-filling fluid. It was shown that the inclusion of shear viscoelasticity of the fluid leads to the appearance of two transverse modes in addition to two longitudinal modes described by the Biot theory. One of the transverse modes is an acoustic mode, whereas the other is a diffusion mode characterized by the linear frequency dependence of phase velocity and attenuation coefficient in the low-frequency region.  相似文献
