An accurate structure analysis of Sr3NbGa3Si2O14 single crystals, belonging to the langasite family, has been performed. Two datasets are obtained on an Xcalibur S diffractometer equipped with a CCD detector. The structure is been refined using an averaged dataset: sp. gr. P 321, Z = 1, 295 K, sin θ/λ ≤ 1.35 Å–1, a = 8.2797(3) Å, c = 5.0774(5) Å; the agreement factors between the model and experiment are found to be R/wR = 0.76/0.64% and Δρmin/Δρmax =–0.21/0.17 e/Å3 for 3820 independent ref lections. The Sr3NbGa3Si2O14 and Sr3NbFe3Si2O14 structures are compared, and the role of magnetic ions in the predicted P321 → P3 phase transition is analyzed.  相似文献

An accurate X-ray diffraction study of Sr3TaGa3Si2O14 (STGS) crystal (a = 8.3023(10) Å, c = 5.0853(2) Å, sp. gr. P321, Z = 1, R/wR = 0.59/0.52%, 4004 independent reflections) is performed. The use of two independent data sets obtained on diffractometers with point and 2D detectors made it possible to determine the model structure characterized by the best reproducibility of parameters. The ordered distribution of atoms over crystallographic positions and the anharmonic character of displacements of all cations and one oxygen atom are established.  相似文献

The absolute crystal structure of the Ca3TaGa3Si2O14 piezoelectric compound is refined using X-ray diffraction analysis. The unit cell parameters and final R factors are as follows: a = 8.112(1) Å, c = 4.9862(6) Å, space group P321, Z = 1, R = 0.98%, and R w = 1.42%. It is shown that the configuration of the absolute crystal structure inherited from the seed material determines the positive sense of the optical activity of the crystal under investigation. The structural and acoustical characteristics of the Ca3TaGa3Si2O14 crystals are compared with those of the La3Ga5SiO14 crystals.  相似文献

An accurate X-ray diffraction study of Ca3TaGa3Si2O14 single crystal has been performed using two datasets obtained on a diffractometer equipped with a CCD area detector (a = 8.1056(2) Å, c = 4.9800(1) Å, sp. gr. P321, Z = 1, R/wR = 0.486/0.488%). A model structure is determined which is characterized by a high degree of reproducibility of structural parameters. Each site in Ca3TaGa3Si2O14 is occupied by atoms of only one type. Nevertheless, its structural feature is asymmetric disordering of sites of Ca, Ta, Ga, and two out of three oxygen atoms occupying special and general sites. A transition of some part of Ca atoms (~3%) from 3e sites on the twofold symmetry axis to general 6g sites is revealed.  相似文献

An accurate X-ray diffraction study of an La3Ta0.25Ga5.25Si0.5O14 single crystal has been performed using two data sets obtained independently for the same sample in different orientations on a diffractometer with a 2D CCD detector. This structure was refined with an averaged set of these data (a = 8.1936(15) Å c = 5.1114(6) Å, sp. gr. P321, Z = 1, R/wR = 0.75/0.71%, 4030 independent reflections). This analysis was aimed at determining the character of the occupancies of the cation position in the structure. The octahedra at the origin of coordinates turned out to be statistically occupied by gallium and tantalum ions of similar sizes, whereas the tetrahedra on the threefold symmetry axes are occupied by gallium and silicon whose ionic radii differ significantly. The latter circumstance caused the splitting of oxygen positions and made it possible to reliably establish the structural position of statistically located [SiO4] and [GaO4] tetrahedra of different sizes.  相似文献

Crystallization of trigonal Ba3Fe2Ge4O14 and tetragonal Ba2Fe2GeO7 barium ferrogermanates is investigated in their own fluxes diluted by B2O3-BaF2 and B2O3-PbF2 mixtures, respectively. The ratios of the components at which the properties of the fluxes satisfy the requirements for controlled crystallization of these incongruently melting compounds are determined. Single crystals of Ba2Fe2GeO7 barium ferrogermanate are grown for the first time.  相似文献

A novel structure type has been established as a result of studying a non-merohedral microtwin of polyoxovanadate (K2ZnV5O14) by X-ray diffractometry (R = 0.0595). The new compound, synthesized under hydrothermal conditions in the ZnCl2–K2CO3–V2O5–H2O system, is characterized as follows: a = 8.066(5) Å, b = 8.117(5) Å, c = 9.236(5) Å, β = 105.287(5)°, sp. P21/m, Z = 2, ρcalcd = 3.54 g/cm3. Edge-shared five-core “clusters” consisting of vanadium octahedra, between which ZnO4 tetrahedra (sharing vertices with octahedra) are located, form two-dimensional two-layer anion packets of the (ZnV5O14)2– composition, alternating along the c axis with layers of potassium atoms. Structural peculiarities determine the morphology and color of new-phase crystals.  相似文献

Abstract  A new barium chlorovanadate, Ba5(V2O7)2Cl2, was isolated by a high-temperature (850 °C) reaction employing a CsCl/RbCl flux. The structure was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction methods. This compound crystallizes in an orthorhombic crystal system, Pmmn (No. 59), with a = 11.558(2) ?, b = 15.164(3) ?, c = 10.023(2) ?, Z = 4 and V = 1756.7(6) ?3. The structure of Ba5(V2O7)2Cl2 was determined by full-matrix, least-squares methods with R 1 = 0.0398, wR 2 = 0.1069 and GOF = 1.048 for all data. This new structure can be described as a composite lattice made up of mixed covalent and ionic moities. The extended framework is orchestrated by stacked [Ba(V2O7)Cl]3− slabs that are interconnected by Ba2+ cations through Ba–O bonds to the [V2O7] units. The Ba2+ and Cl- ions form BN-type “[BaCl]” sheets with pseudo-hexagonal windows that are centered by [V2O7]4− pyrovanadate units. The crystal structure of a newly synthesized compound Na2Ba2[B10O17(OH)2] has been determined (Syntex \(P\bar 1\) diffractometer, MoKα radiation, 1784 crystallographically nonequivalent reflections, anisotropic approximation, R = 1.7%). The parameters of the monoclinic unit cell are a = 11.455(7), b = 6.675(4), c = 9.360(7) Å, β = 93.68(5)°, Z = 2, sp. gr. C2. The structure consists of double pseudohexagonal layers built by BO4-tetrahedra and BO3-triangles forming three-membered rings of two mutually orthogonal orientations. The neighboring layers along the [001] direction are bound by Na-polyhedra and hydrogen bonds with participation of OH groups. The interlayer tunnels along the [100] direction are filled with columns of Ba-polyhedra. The crystallochemical characteristics of a number of synthetic Ba-borates (to which the structure of new decaborate is related) are considered in terms of borate building blocks singled out in the structure.  相似文献

The complete X-ray structure determination of Czochralski grown La3Zr0.5Ga5Si0.5O14 single crystals with the Ca3Ga2Ge4O14 structure is performed (sp. gr. P321, a = 8.226(1) Å, c = 5.1374(6) Å, Z = 1, Mo Kα1 radiation, 1920 crystallographically independent reflections, R = 0.0166, Rw = 0.0192). The absolute structure is determined. It is shown that possible transition of some of La atoms (~1.2%) from the 3e to 6g position may give rise to the formation of structural defects.  相似文献

The crystal structure of monoclinic La3SbZn3Ge2O14 crystals from the langasite family is determined by X-ray diffraction analysis [a = 5.202(1) Å, b = 8.312(1) Å, c = 14.394(2) Å, β = 90.02(1)°, sp. gr. A2, Z = 2, and R/R w = (5.2/4.6)%]. The structure is a derivative of the Ca3Ga2Ge4O14-type structure (a = 8.069 Å, c = 4.967 Å, sp. gr. P321, Z = 1). The crystal studied is a polysynthetic twin with the twin index n = 2, whose monoclinic components are related by pseudomerohedry by a threefold rotation axis of the supergroup P321.  相似文献

Abstract  

A new quinternary oxide, NaTl3Cu4Te2O12, has been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The reported material was synthesized by hydrothermal techniques using TlNO3, CuO, TeO2, and NaOH as reagents. The material exhibits a two-dimensional layered structure consisting of edge-shared CuO6 and TeO6 polyhedra separated by Na+ and Tl+ cations. NaTl3Cu4Te2O12 crystallizes in space group C2/m with a = 12.9800(17) ?, b = 9.3455(12) ?, c = 5.2335(7) ?, β = 104.276(2)°, V = 615.24(14) ?3, and Z = 2.  相似文献

X-ray diffraction studies of sillenite Bi24V2O40 single crystals grown by the hydrothermal method are performed for a separate crystal and powdered crystals. It is found that the composition of the two specimens is described by the (Bi24 − x x )[Bi y 3+V1−y 5+]2 O40 general formula with completely populated oxygen sites but differs in the content of vacancies at the bismuth site (this was established for the first time) and the Bi: V ratio at the tetrahedral site. The structural models of all the vanadium-containing sillenites reported in the literature are considered, and the possibility that Bi atoms are located at the centers of BiO4 tetrahedra is established.  相似文献

The accurate X-ray diffraction study of a Sr3Ga2Ge4O14 crystal was performed based on two X-ray diffraction data sets collected on a diffractometer equipped with a CCD area detector (a = 8.2776(2), c = 5.0415(1) Å, sp. gr. P321, Z = 1, R/wR = 0.78/0.69%, 3645 independent reflections). The structure of Sr3Ga2Ge4O14 is characterized by the presence of two mixed cation sites, which is accompanied by the anharmonic motion not only of cations, but also of two oxygen atoms in general positions. The structures and electromechanical characteristics of Sr3Ga2Ge4O14 and Sr3TaGa3Si2O14 were compared. The Sr3Ga2Ge4O14 structure is characterized by a larger elongation of the Sr polyhedron along the a axis and, simultaneously, by the smaller unit-cell parameter a compared with Sr3TaGa3Si2O14, which correlates with the ratio of the piezoelectric coefficients d 11. The absence of thermally stable directions in the crystals of Sr3Ga2Ge4O14 and Sr3TaGa3Si2O14 is consistent with the absence of the anomalous temperature dependence of the dielectric constant ?33.  相似文献

The switching processes in calcium barium niobate crystals CaxBa1–x Nb2O6 with x = 0.32 have been investigated. The dielectric hysteresis loops observed in the samples exposed to alternating fields of different frequencies and constant amplitude have been analyzed. It is shown that the loop formation is caused by the sample heating. The sample temperature increases due to the dielectric loss energy release only up to a certain frequency, above which complete switching becomes impossible.  相似文献

Possible structural changes described by the group-subgroup relationships in the Ca3Ga2Ge4O14-type structure (sp. gr. P321) are considered. The most probable phase transitions seem to be those accompanied by lowering of the symmetry to the maximal non-isomorphic subgroups P3 and C2. It is shown that only destructive phase transitions accompanied by symmetry rise up to the minimal non-isomorphic supergroups for the given structure type can take place. The change of the trigonal symmetry to monoclinic is revealed in La3SbZn3Ge2O14, whose crystal structure is refined as a derivative structure of the Ca3Ga2Ge4O14 structure type within the sp. gr. A2 (C2). At ~250°C, La3SbZn3Ge2O14 undergoes a reversible phase transition accompanied by symmetry rise, A2 ? P321. Similar phase transitions, P321 ? A2, are also observed in La3Nb0.5Ga5.5O14 and La3Ta0.5Ga5.5O14 under the hydrostatic pressures 12.4(3) and 11.7(3) GPa, respectively. The mechanisms of compression and phase transition are based on the anisotropic compressibility of a layer structure. With the attainment of the critical stress level in the structure, the elevated compressibility in the (ab) plane gives rise to a phase transition accompanied by the loss of the threefold axis. Attempts to reveal low-temperature phase transitions in a number of representatives of the langasite family have failed.  相似文献

Abstract  The structure of [Fe3O(O2CCH2OMe)6(H2O)3][FeCl4] · 2.5H2O has been determined. The three iron atoms and the μ3-oxo are coplanar. Each carboxylic ligand is bidentate and links two iron atoms in the cluster. The clusters are linked by intra-trimer hydrogen bonding to form a zigzag motif that forms sheets via hydrogen bonding involving disordered waters of hydration. The [FeCl4] anion is intercalated between the hydrogen-bonded sheets. Crystal data: space group P21/n, a = 10.276(2), b = 22.793(5), c = 17.091(3) ?, β = 96.66(3)°, V = 3976(1) ?3, Z = 4, R = 0.0837, wR 2 = 0.1836. Abstract  

Crystal structure of Li2HPO3,H2O was determined by single-crystal X-Ray diffraction analysis at 173(2) K. It crystallizes in the monoclinic system (P21/c) with the parameters: a = 5.0322(9) ?, b = 8.9795(17) ?, c = 17.088(4) ?, β = 92.672(16)° and Z = 8. The structure was refined to R = 0.0237 and ωR = 0.0650 for 1449 reflexions. The framework of Li2HPO3, H2O can be described as layers perpendicular to the crystallographic c axis. The structure contains two types of Li-tetrahedrons. In one kind each O atom belongs to one HPO3 group, while in the second kind one apex is an O from water. A network of hydrogen bonds interactions insures the connection between the layers.  相似文献

Precision X-ray diffraction studies of La2 − x Bi x Mo2O9 (x = 0.04, 0.06, and 0.18) single crystals are performed. It is found that in the compounds doped with bismuth, analogously with the structure of the metastable βms phase of pure La2Mo2O9 (LM), the La, Mo1, and O1 atoms deviate from the threefold axis on which they are located in the high-temperature β phase. It is shown that bismuth atoms substitute for part of lanthanum atoms and occupy a position at the threefold axis in the neighborhood of the split lanthanum position. The implantation of bismuth atoms in the LM structure results in the return of a part of the molybdenum atoms to the position at the threefold axis. The occupancy of this position is equal to the occupancy of the bismuth atomic position.  相似文献

The structure of amorphous aluminum oxide was simulated by the molecular-dynamics method. A random distribution of Al3+ and O2? ions over the volumes of cubes with sides of 21 and 24 Å was used as a starting configuration. The character of the distribution of cations in the anion subsystem was analyzed. It was shown that formation of voids in model clusters is possible when the average electron density is underestimated  相似文献
