Phenyl 2-(6-methylpyridyl) ketone oxime (R) can be used for the determination of copper in alkalis, the orange CuR, being extracted into isoamyl alcohol and its absorbance measured. Owing to the stereochemical blocking action of the 6-methyl group, iron does not interfere. In acid solution an orange-yellow compound CuR(3), is formed, also extractable into isoamyl alcohol.  相似文献

Summary Copper, palladium and nickel can be titrated amperometrically with 2,5-dihydroxyacetophenone oxime at –0.15, –0.4 and, –1.2 V vs. S. C. E. respectively, the optimum pH values being 4.6, 4.0, and 9.0. Alkali and alkaline earth metals, Al, Bi, Cd, Co, Cr. Fe(II), Hg, Mn, Ni, Pb, Th, Zn, UO, W, and Zr do not interfere with the estimation of copper and palladium. The interferences due to the presence of silver and iron(III) can be eliminated by adding excess of KCl and KF respectively. Most heavy metals interfere with the estimation of nickel and should be eliminated before titration.
Zusammenfassung Kupfer, Palladium und Nickel können mit 2,5-Dihydroxyaeetophenonoxim bei –0,15, –0,4 bzw. –1,2 V gegen eine gesättigte Kalomelelektrode amperometrisch titriert werden, wobei man das pH am besten auf 4,6, 4,0 bzw. 9,0 hält. Alkalimetalle, Erdalkalien, Al, Bi, Cd, Co, Cr, Fe(II), Hg, Mn, Ni, Pb, Th, Zn, UO2, W und Zr stören die Bestimmung des Kupfers und des Palladiums. Silber und Eisen können mit Kaliumchlorid gefällt bzw. mit Kaliumfluorid maskiert werden. Die meisten Schwermetalle stören die Nickelbestimmung und müssen daher vor der Titration entfernt werden.

n-Pentyl-2-pyridyl ketoxime hydrochloride has been prepared and examined as a colorimetric reagent for copper. It is less sensitive than some reagents, but shows a remarkable selectivity toward copper. The copper(I) -oxime compound can be extracted into isoamyl alcohol or into chloroform. In isoamyl alcohol the colored compound conforms to Beer's law in concentrations up to 5.6 · 10-4M and has a molar absorptivity of 2650 at 360 mμ. A procedure for the colorimetric determination of copper is given and its reliability is shown.  相似文献

Summary Solochrome Fast Navy 2R has been found to be a suitable colorimetric reagent for the determination of copper, manganese and zinc either in pure solutions or in mixtures. The range of determination varies between 0.5–4 g/25 ml. Study of the effect of time, temperature, pH on the determination was carried out. The molecular ratio of the dyemetal complex was investigated using the slope ratio method.Tables for the various determination are given and show that the experimental errors are of satisfactory order. Good results were obtained by the use of EDTA, cyanide or thioglycollic acid to mask the various interfering cations.
Zusammenfassung Solochrome Fast Navy 2R wird zur colorimetrischen Bestimmung von Kupfer, Mangan und Zink in reinen Lösungen oder in Mischungen empfohlen. Die erfaßbaren Mengen liegen im Bereich zwischen 0,5 und 4 g/25 ml. Die Genauigkeit der Ergebnisse ist befriedigend. Der Einfluß der Zeit, der Temperatur und des pH-Wertes sowie das Molverhältnis im Metall-Farbstoff-Komplex wurden untersucht. Verschiedene störende Kationen konnten erfolgreich mit ÄDTA, Cyanid oder Thioglykolsäure maskiert werden.

The use of di-2-pyridyl ketone oxime (Hpko)/X- "blends" (X- = OH-, Cl-, ClO4-) in copper chemistry has yielded neutral binuclear and cationic trinuclear, pentanuclear or hexanuclear complexes. Various synthetic procedures have led to the synthesis of compounds [Cu5(pko)7].[ClO4]3.2CH3OH.2H2O (1), [Cu3(pko)3(OH)(Cl)]2[Ph4B]2.4DMF.2H2O (2), [Cu2(pko)4] (3), {[Cu6(pko)6ClO4(CH3CN)6][Cu6(pko)6(ClO4)3(CH3CN)4]}.8ClO4.14CH3CN.H2O (4). Benzothiazole-2-aldehyde-2-quinolylhydrazone (BTAQH) was used for the spectrophotometric determination of trace amounts of copper(II) after the extraction process. Copper(II) reacts with BTAQH at pH 8.3–12.6 to form a water-insoluble 1:2 complex, which can be extracted with many kinds of organic solvent. The extracted species with benzene has an absorption maximum at 523 nm and obeyed Beer's law over the range 0.09 to 0.75 ppm of copper. The molar absorptivity is 7.50 × 104M?1 cm?1 at 523 nm. The spectral properties of the copper(II) complexes with some tridentate hydrazones containing benzothiazole ring as a functional group were also discussed.  相似文献

N-Acetylacetone-anthranilic acid has been employed as a reagent for the gravimetric determination of copper(II). The solid copper(II) chelate formed possesses 1:1 metal-ligand stoichiometry and is found to exist as an unsolvated dimer. The complex has a magnetic moment of 1.88 B.M. at 298 K. A new low-basicity functional detergent, namely, 1-methyl-3-hexadecyl-2-(oximinomethyl)imidazolium bromide (pK a = 7.74) is proposed for the efficient decomposition of acyl-containing ecotoxicants under mild conditions (pH ≈ 9.0). The use of this compound provides for rapid decomposition of model substrates, namely, 4-nitrophenyl esters of diethylphosphonic, diethylphosphoric, and 4-toluenesulfonic acids. The isomers 6-methyl-2-propionyl- and 3-methyl-2-propionylbenzoic acid were synthesized and separated by DCC (droplet counter-current) chromatography. The crystal structure analyses showed that these compounds are hydroxylactones in the solid state.  相似文献
