A new crystal of Nd3+:Sr3Y(BO3)3 with dimension up to 25×35 mm2 was grown by Czochralski method. Absorption and emission spectra of Nd3+: Sr3Y(BO3)3 were investigated . The absorption band at 807 nm has a FWHM of 18 nm. The absorption and emission cross sections are 2.17×10−20 cm2 at 807 nm and 1.88×10−19 cm2 at 1060 nm, respectively. The luminescence lifetime τf is 73 μs at room temperature  相似文献

A novel compound with the chemical formula of La2SrB10O19 has been successfully synthesized from the La2O3--- SrO---B2O3 system via a solid state reaction. The powder X-ray diffraction data is reported. It is found that the data show little difference from that of La2CaB10O19 which demonstrate that they are isostructural. The powder second harmonic generation effect of La2SrB1)O19 is about twice that of KH2PO4(KDP). The investigation of crystal growth is in progress.  相似文献

Using chemical etching.method, the growth twins in self-frequency doubling laser crystal YbxY1−xAl3(BO34 have been observed. The etching pits on both sides of growth twin boundaries in the (10 1) slice are of the triangles with different orientations. The structure of growth twins is investigated by transmission synchrotron topography. In the transmission synchrotron topograph, the growth twins are visible not by ‘domain contrast’ but by ‘boundary contrast’, i.e. the twins appear in the topograph in form of X-ray kinematical diffraction contrast due to the lattice strain stemming from the impurity incorporation in the boundaries. The growth twins in YbxY1−xAl3(BO3)4 crystal are of inversion types, since no domain contrast was observed.  相似文献

The vapor phase epitaxy of thin epilayers of VO2 and V1−xCrxO2 on TiO2 transparent substrates is described. Chemical vapor deposition occurs by reacting a (VOCL3/CrO2Cl2/H2O/H2) mixture at about 800°C using argon as a carrier gas. The preparation of pure VO2 requires special care to make it homogeneously stoichiometric and to obtain steep concentration profiles at the TiO2/VO2 interface. Layers were obtained which had electrical and optical properties comparable to the best bulk crystals grown by other techniques. Homogeneous solid solutions of V1−xCrxO2 epilayers were also grown for the first time in the range o < x < 0.17. Chromium concentration and homogeneity were determined by electron microprobe analysis. The separation coefficient k was also found to vary with x. It is close to unity below x = 0.001 and above this value Cr is incorporated more easily. High quality heteroepitaxial layers (1 cm2 area, 1 to 30 μm thickness) of V1−xCrxO2 have for the first time allowed the measurement of the optical absorption coefficient.  相似文献

A novel ion exchange technique is introduced in this paper. By electrolyzing a RbNO3 solution held in two electrolyzers separated by a KTP crystal under the applied electric field, a Rb1−xKxTiOPO4 layer formed This was confirmed by electron probe microanalysis. The distribution of Rb+ in the KTP crystal was measured by electron probe X-ray line scanning. This technique is expected to have potential applications in waveguide fabrications.  相似文献

This paper reports the growth and spectral properties of 3.5 at% Nd3+:LaVO4 crystal with diameter of 20×15 mm2 which has been grown by the Czochralski method. The spectral parameters were calculated based on Judd–Ofelt theory. The intensity parameters Ωλ are: Ω2=2.102×10−20 cm2, Ω4=3.871×10−20 cm2, Ω6=3.235×10−20 cm2. The radiative lifetime τr is 209 μs and calculated fluorescence branch ratios are: β1(0.88μm)=45.2, β2(1.06μm)=46.7, β3(1.34μm)=8.1. The measured fluorescence lifetime τf is 137 μm and the quantum efficiency η is 65.6%. The absorption band at 808 nm wavelength has an FWHM of 20 nm. The absorption and emission cross sections are 3×10−20 and 6.13×10−20 cm2, respectively.  相似文献

The (Pb0.90La0.10)TiO3 [PLT] thick films (3.0 μm) with a PbO buffer layer were deposited on the Pt(1 1 1)/Ti/SiO2/Si(1 0 0) substrates by RF magnetron sputtering method. The PLT thick films comprise five periodicities, the layer thicknesses of (Pb0.90La0.10)TiO3 and PbO in one periodicity are fixed. The PbO buffer layer improves the phase purity and electrical properties of the PLT thick films. The microstructure and electrical properties of the PLT thick films with a PbO buffer layer were studied. The PLT thick films with a PbO buffer layer possess good electrical properties with the remnant polarization (Pr=2.40 μC cm−2), coercive field (Ec=18.2 kV cm−1), dielectric constant (εr=139) and dielectric loss (tan δ=0.0206) at 1 kHz, and pyroelectric coefficient (9.20×10−9 C cm−2 K−1). The result shows the PLT thick film with a PbO buffer layer is a good candidate for pyroelectric detector.  相似文献

The solubility of a series of hexaferrite derivatives of BaFe12O19 in solvents of the system Na2O-B2O3 with oxide ratios of 7:3 and 3:2 has been investigated. The temperature dependences of the saturation concentration in these solvents are determined for ferrites with the nominal compositions Ba0.8Pb0.2Fe12O19, BaFe10Ga2O19, BaFe10Al2O19 and BaFe8Mn2 Ti2O19. Single crystals of BaFe12O19, in which part of the metal ions are replaced by various amounts of Pb2+, Ga3+, Al3+ and Mn2+ + Ti4+ ions, are g rown from the solutions by the slow cooling technique. The distribution coefficients of the substituting ions and the compositions of the crystals obtained are established by microprobe analysis (EPMA). Information on the position of substitution is obtained from the Mössbauer spectra.  相似文献

11B (I=3/2) MAS NMR in the binary glass system xV2O5–B2O3 (x=0.053, 0.43) and the ternary glass system xV2O5–B2O3–PbO (0.1x1.5) has been investigated at room temperature. In the xV2O5–B2O3 glasses, one NMR line due to BO3 unit was observed. Meanwhile in the xV2O5–B2O3–PbO, two NMR lines which arise from BO3 and BO4 units were detected, where the appearance of BO4 units is produced by the presence of PbO. From the computer-simulation of the 11B NMR central transition line (m=−1/2↔1/2), the quadrupole parameters (e2qQ/h and η) for BO3 units in xV2O5–B2O3, and those for BO3 and BO4 units in xV2O5–B2O3–PbO were obtained as a function of x. As the V2O5 content increases in xV2O5–B2O3–PbO, the e2qQ/h and η values of the BO3 associated resonance are found to slightly decrease and increase, respectively. Meanwhile, the e2qQ/h and η values of BO4 associated resonance in xV2O5–B2O3–PbO are found to slightly increase and decrease, respectively. By comparing the intensities of the total transitions (m=−3/2↔−1/2,m=−1/2↔1/2, and 1/2↔3/2) for the 11B NMR line of BO3 and BO4 units contained in xV2O5–B2O3–PbO with those of respective standard samples of 0.053V2O5–B2O3 and NaBH4, the quantitative fractions of BO3 and BO4 in xV2O5–B2O3–PbO were obtained as a function of x.  相似文献

A modified method to synthesize the new laser upconversion material Ba2ErCl7 using Er2O3, BaCl2 2H2O and NH4CI is reported for the first time in this paper. Single crystals up to 5–8mm in diameter and 10–20 mm in length have been grown by Czochralski method. The transmittance spectra of Ba2ErCl7 single crystal has first been measured by using an HITACHI U-3500 spectrophotometer. There are three intense absorption peaks 4I9/24I11/2 and 4I13/2 in the infrared range which can be excited by 803nm, 980nm and 1.5μm laser diodes (LDs), respectively. The cut-off wavelength of the crystal is 230mn. Intense green luminescence can be observed when the crystal is pumped by a ED at 803nm. The formation of the defects is also discussed.  相似文献

Mössbauer absorption measurements have been made at room temperature on 57Fe in iron sodium silicate glasses containing 3–15 mol% Fe2O3 and various iron alkali silicate crystals in order to study the state of iron in these glasses. The spectra of all the glasses gave one doublet with a quadrupole splitting varying from 0.73–0.78 mm s−1, while those of Na2O · Fe2O3 · 4 SiO2 and 5 Na2O · Fe2O3 · 8 SiO2 crystals showed much smaller quadrupole splitting, 0.28 mm s−1 and 0.10 mm s−1, respectively, and an asymmetrical doublet of much narrower linewidth. When sodium was replaced by other alkali metals of larger size, such as K and Cs, in MFeSi2O6 and MFeSi3O8 crystals, the quadrupole splitting became wider and approached to 0.73 mm s−1. Such a variation was not observed for glasses. These results suggest that a larger number of non-identical sites exist in iron sodium silicate glasses than in the corresponding crystals.  相似文献

Diffusion coefficients of iron were measured in glass melts with the basic compositions 5Na2O · xMgO · (15−x)CaO · yAl2O3 · (80−y)SiO2 with x=5, 10 and y=0, 5, 7.5, 10 and 15. The melts were doped with 0.25 mol% Fe2O3 and studied in the temperature range from 1000 to 1600 °C using square-wave voltammetry. The voltammograms exhibited distinct peaks attributed to the reduction of Fe3+ to Fe2+, from which peak currents mixed diffusion coefficients of iron were calculated. Diffusion coefficients in all melt compositions which did not show crystallization could be fitted to Arrhenius equation. The diffusivities measured in different melt compositions were related to the same viscosity, i.e. not the same temperature. Increasing the alumina concentration from 5 to 10 mol% resulted in an increase of the viscosity corrected diffusivities. At further increasing alumina concentrations, the diffusivities get smaller again. This can be explained by the stabilizing effect of Na+ and Ca2+ on FeO4 and AlO4-tetrahedra, which strengthens the incorporation of Fe3+ into the glass structure.  相似文献

The high viscosity in melts of the Li2O---B2O3 system makes it very difficult to grow large crystals of lithium triborate. The viscosity and IR characteristics of molten li2O---B2O3 system are reported in this paper. When the temperature increases the viscosity of li2O---B2O3 system decreases and follows an Arrhenius-type relationship. With an increasing 13203 ratio in Li2O---B2O3 melts, the viscosity rises gradually to a maximum with a composition Li2O: 3.513203 then it falls rapidly. In order to find active agents to reduce the viscosity, Na2O, NaCl, LiF, P205, M003, W03 etc oxides were added to Li2O---B2O3 samples respectively and investigated using the orthogonal method. The experimental results show that the addition of acidic oxides can significantly decrease the viscosity in the Li2O---B2O3 system. For Li2O: 4.513203, an ideal additive agent is 20wt% Li2O:: 2MoO3. Near the composition for crystal growth, the percentage reduction of viscosity is 62.2%. The IR spectra of Li2O---B2O3 system revealed that the BO4/NO3 ratio is reduced in the melt using Li2O: 2MoO3 as an additive. It is proposed that the M003 reduced the concentration of bridging oxygen atoms of BO4. The change of structure explains the decline in the viscosity. In the crystal structures of lithium triborate, the matrix spaces are so small that larger other cations than Li+ are very difficult to enter the crystal matrix. So the use of additive agents to reduce the viscosity is a possible method if no new phase appears.  相似文献

Melts with the basic compositions 10Na2O · 10MgO · xAl2O3 · (80−x)SiO2 (x=0, 5, 10, 15 and 20), 10Na2O · xMgO · 10Al2O3 · (80−x)SiO2 (x=5, 10, 15 and 20) and xNa2O · 10MgO · 10Al2O3 · (80−x)SiO2 (x=5, 10 and 15) all doped with 0.25 mol% Fe2O3 were studied using square-wave voltammetry. The temperatures applied were in the range of 1000–1600 °C. The square-wave voltammograms recorded show peaks caused by the reduction of Fe3+ to Fe2+. The attributed peak potentials measured decreased linearly with decreasing temperatures. Increasing the MgO-concentration led to more negative peak potentials. Introducing alumina in the melt first resulted in less negative peak potentials. If the molar Al2O3-concentration is equal to that of Na2O (=10 mol%) the peak potentials are least negative. Further increase of the Al2O3-concentration led to more negative peak potentials. The variation of the Na2O-concentration led to a maximum in the peak potentials at an Na2O-concentration of 10 mol%. An empirical formula which allows the calculation of standard potentials from the chemical composition is proposed. Furthermore, a structural explanation for the effect of the chemical composition is given. Especially, the incorporation of Al2O3 as AlO4-tetrahedra at [Al2O3] < [Na2O] and as network modifier at larger concentrations was structurally explained by the similarities of Fe2+ and Mg2+, with respect to cation radii and metal–oxygen bond lengths.  相似文献

Glasses of composition 65 mol% LiNbO3:: 35 mol% SiO2 have been shown to be Li+ ion conductors with a conductivity at 200°C > 1 × 10−5 (η cm)−1 and an activation energy of 0.54 eV. The addition of approximately 0.1 mol% Fe2O3 leads to an enhancement of conductivity to ≈10−3 (η cm)−1 at 200°C and an activation energy of 0.67 eV. The effect of Fe is shown to be in the control of microstructure in the glass, with Fe2O3 concentrations < 1 mol% acting as a grain growth inhibitors and larger concentrations acting as a nucleating agents. A model for this process based on the expected stoichiometry of the melt and the effect of Fe2+ and Fe3+ in charge compensation is in excellent agreement with experimental data from electron spin resonance.  相似文献

Thermally stimulated luminescence (TSL) and infrared (IR) spectroscopy were measured in plasma grown Si1−xGexO2 (x=0, 0.08, 0.15, 0.25, 0.5) with different thicknesses (12–40 nm). A comparison with the TSL properties of thermally grown SiO2 and GeO2 was also performed. A main IR absorption structure was detected, due to the superposition of the peaks related to the asymmetric O stretching modes of (i) Si–O–Si (at ≈1060 cm−1) and (ii) Si–O–Ge (at 1001 cm−1). Another peak at ≈860 cm−1 was observed only for Ge concentrations, x>0.15, corresponding to the asymmetric O stretching mode in Ge–O–Ge bonds. A TSL peak was observed at 70°C, and a smaller structure at around 200°C. The 70°C peak was more intense in all Ge rich layers than in plasma grown SiO2. Based on the thickness dependence of the signal intensity we propose that at Ge concentrations 0.25x0.5 TSL active defects are localised at interfacial regions (oxide/semiconductor, Ge poor/Ge rich internal interface, oxide external surface/atmosphere). Based on similarities between TSL glow curves in plasma grown Si1−xGexO2, thermally grown GeO2 and SiO2 we propose that oxygen vacancy related defects are trapping states in Si1−xGexO2 and GeO2.  相似文献

A novel approach for preparation of red-emitting europium-doped yttrium oxide phosphor (Y2O3:Eu) by using the bicontinuous cubic phase (BCP) process was reported in this paper. The BCP system was composed of anionic surfactant sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl)sulfosuccinate (AOT) and aqueous yttrium nitrate/europium nitrate solution. Energy dispersive spectrometer analysis revealed the homogeneous precipitation occurred in the BCP structure. Thermogravimetric analysis measurements indicated the precursor powder was europium-doped yttrium hydroxide, Y1−xEux(OH)3. Scanning electron microscopy micrographs showed the precursor powder had a primary size about 30 nm and narrow size distribution. After heat treatment in furnace above 700 °C for 4 h, high crystallinity Y2O3:Eu phosphors was obtained. However, the primary size of particles grew to 50–200 nm and the dense agglomerates with a size below 1 μm were formed. X-ray diffraction patterns indicated the crystal structure of precursor powders and Y2O3:Eu phosphors were amorphous and body-centered cubic structure, respectively. The photoluminescence analysis showed that the obtained Y2O3:Eu phosphor had a strong red emitting at 612 nm and the quenching started at a Eu concentration of 10 mol%. This study indicated that the BCP process could be used to prepare the highly efficient oxide-based phosphors.  相似文献

The electrical and dielectric properties for three series of MoO3–Fe2O3–P2O5 and one series of SrO–Fe2O3–P2O5 glasses were measured by impedance spectroscopy in the frequency range from 0.01 Hz to 3 MHz and over the temperature range from 303 to 473 K. It was shown in Part I that the MoO3 is incorporated into phosphate network and the structure/properties are strongly influenced by the overall O/P ratio. The Fe2O3 content and Fe(II)/Fetot ratio in these glasses have significant effects on the electrical conductivity and dielectric permittivity. With decreasing Fe2O3 content in MoO3–Fe2O3–P2O5 glasses with O/P at 3.5 the dc conductivity, σdc(ω) decreases for two orders of magnitude, which indicates that the conductivity for these glasses depends on Fe2O3 and is independent of the MoO3 content. Also, the dielectric properties such as (ω), (ω) and σac(ω) and their variation with frequency and temperature indicates a decrease in relaxation intensity with increase in the concentration of MoO3. On the other hand, the dc conductivity for MoO3–Fe2O3–P2O5 glasses with O/P > 3.5 increases with the substitution of MoO3 which has been explained by an increase in the number of non-bridging oxygens and formation of Fe–O–P bonds that are responsible for formation of small polarons. The increase in the dielectric permittivity, (ω) with increasing MoO3 content is attributed to the increase in the deformation of glass network with increasing bonding defects. For SrO–Fe2O3–P2O5 glasses the conductivity and dielectric permittivity remained constant with increasing SrO.  相似文献

The phase equilibrium and the crystallization process of lead iodide (PbI2) melt have been primarily investigated according to the lead–iodine phase diagram. It is found that the iodine evaporation and the segregated lead deposition are the two important factors that affect the PbI2 crystal quality. The new method of Pulling U-type quartz growth ampoule has been made to impede the decomposition of PbI2 and the vaporization and condensation of iodine. An orange and translucent PbI2 single crystal of large size was obtained by the improved growth method, i.e. U-type ampoule pulling. Resistivity of the as-grown crystal is up to 4×1011 Ω cm, and IR transmission is up to 45% in the region from 7800 to 450 cm−1. Therefore, the improved growth method is a promising convenient new method for the growth of high quality PbI2 crystals.  相似文献

Measurements of the pressure dependence of the static dielectric constant of tellurite (pure TeO2 and 67%TeO2 + 33%WO3) and samarium phosphate (5%Sm2O3 + 95%P2O5 and 15%Sm2O3 + 85%P2O5) glasses at elevated pressures (0–70 kbar) for a range of temperatures (77–380 K) are reported. The electrical properties under pressure have been determined from the low-frequency complex plane analysis of glass discs contained within a Bridgman opposed anvil cell. The most notable observation is that the pressure dependence of the static dielectric constant, of all glasses studied, is positive, for example for vitreous TeO2 ln ε/P is equal to 4.41 × 10−11 (Pa−1) at 293 K. Behaviour of this type is common to a number of materials (plastics and chalcogenide glasses) for which it is not possible to define any long-range order. It is in direct contrast with the behaviour of crystalline insulators, for which ε/P is usually negative. The effect of pressure on the dielectric constant has been analysed using two different approaches based on the macroscopic Clausius-Mossotti equation. The effects of high pressure on the dielectric constant have been correlated with the temperature dependence of the dielectric constant at atmospheric pressure.  相似文献
