In this paper, we propose a new hybrid algorithm between the grey wolf optimizer algorithm and the genetic algorithm in order to minimize a simplified model of the energy function of the molecule. We call the proposed algorithm by Hybrid Grey Wolf Optimizer and Genetic Algorithm (HGWOGA). We employ three procedures in the HGWOGA. In the first procedure, we apply the grey wolf optimizer algorithm to balance between the exploration and the exploitation process in the proposed algorithm. In the second procedure, we utilize the dimensionality reduction and the population partitioning processes by dividing the population into sub-populations and using the arithmetical crossover operator in each sub-population in order to increase the diversity of the search in the algorithm. In the last procedure, we apply the genetic mutation operator in the whole population in order to refrain from the premature convergence and trapping in local minima. We implement the proposed algorithm with various molecule size with up to 200 dimensions and compare the proposed algorithm with 8 benchmark algorithms in order to validate its efficiency for solving molecular potential energy function. The numerical experiment results show that the proposed algorithm is a promising, competent, and capable of finding the global minimum or near global minimum of the molecular energy function faster than the other comparative algorithms.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce a new smoothing function and show that it is coercive under suitable assumptions. Based on this new function, we propose a smoothing Newton method for solving the second-order cone complementarity problem (SOCCP). The proposed algorithm solves only one linear system of equations and performs only one line search at each iteration. It is shown that any accumulation point of the iteration sequence generated by the proposed algorithm is a solution to the SOCCP. Furthermore, we prove that the generated sequence is bounded if the solution set of the SOCCP is nonempty and bounded. Under the assumption of nonsingularity, we establish the local quadratic convergence of the algorithm without the strict complementarity condition. Numerical results indicate that the proposed algorithm is promising.  相似文献

本文研究了二阶锥规划问题.利用新的最小值函数的光滑函数,给出一个求解二阶锥规划的光滑牛顿算法.算法可以从任意点出发,在每一步迭代只需求解一个线性方程组并进行一次线性搜索.在不需要满足严格互补假设条件下,证明了算法是全局收敛和局部二阶收敛的.数值试验表明算法是有效的.  相似文献

In this paper we present an extension of the proximal point algorithm with Bregman distances to solve constrained minimization problems with quasiconvex and convex objective function on Hadamard manifolds. The proposed algorithm is a modified and extended version of the one presented in Papa Quiroz and Oliveira (J Convex Anal 16(1): 49–69, 2009). An advantage of the proposed algorithm, for the nonconvex case, is that in each iteration the algorithm only needs to find a stationary point of the proximal function and not a global minimum. For that reason, from the computational point of view, the proposed algorithm is more practical than the earlier proximal method. Another advantage, for the convex case, is that using minimal condition on the problem data as well as on the proximal parameters we get the same convergence results of the Euclidean proximal algorithm using Bregman distances.  相似文献

In this paper, we transform an unconstrained system of nonlinear equations into a special optimization problem. A new filled function is constructed by employing the special properties of the transformed optimization problem. Theoretical and numerical properties of the proposed filled function are investigated and a solution of the algorithm is proposed. Under some conditions, we can find a solution or an approximate solution to the system of nonlinear equations in finite iterations. The implementation of the algorithm on six test problems is reported with satisfactory numerical results.  相似文献

Recently, a new algorithm for computing an optimal subadditive dual function to an integer program has been proposed. In this paper we show how to apply the algorithm to the set partitioning problem. We give several enhancements to the algorithm and we report computational experiments. The results show that it is tractable to obtain an optimal subadditive function for small and medium size problems. To the best of our knowledge this is the first work that reports computational experiments on computing an optimal subadditive dual function.  相似文献

Maximum likelihood methods are important for system modeling and parameter estimation. This paper derives a recursive maximum likelihood least squares identification algorithm for systems with autoregressive moving average noises, based on the maximum likelihood principle. In this derivation, we prove that the maximum of the likelihood function is equivalent to minimizing the least squares cost function. The proposed algorithm is different from the corresponding generalized extended least squares algorithm. The simulation test shows that the proposed algorithm has a higher estimation accuracy than the recursive generalized extended least squares algorithm.  相似文献

The equilibrium problem (EP) can be reformulated as an unconstrained minimization problem through the generalized D-gap function. In this paper, we propose an algorithm for minimizing the problem and analyze some convergence properties of the proposed algorithm. Under some reasonable conditions, we show that the iteration sequence generated by the algorithm is globally convergent and converges to a solution to the EP and the generalized D-gap function provides a global error bound for the algorithm.  相似文献

We present a branch and bound algorithm for the global optimization of a twice differentiable nonconvex objective function with a Lipschitz continuous Hessian over a compact, convex set. The algorithm is based on applying cubic regularisation techniques to the objective function within an overlapping branch and bound algorithm for convex constrained global optimization. Unlike other branch and bound algorithms, lower bounds are obtained via nonconvex underestimators of the function. For a numerical example, we apply the proposed branch and bound algorithm to radial basis function approximations.  相似文献

PSB (Powell-Symmetric-Broyden) algorithm is a very important algorithm and has been extensively used in trust region methods. However, there are few studies on the line search type PSB algorithm. The primary reason is that the direction generated by this class of algorithms is not necessarily a descent direction of the objective function. In this paper, by combining a nonmonotone line search technique with the PSB method, we propose a nonmonotone PSB algorithm for solving unconstrained optimization. Under proper conditions, we establish global convergence and superlinear convergence of the proposed algorithm. At the same time we verify the efficiency of the proposed algorithm by some numerical experiments.  相似文献

A new subspace minimization conjugate gradient algorithm with a nonmonotone Wolfe line search is proposed and analyzed. In the scheme, we propose two choices of the search direction by minimizing a quadratic approximation of the objective function in special subspaces, and state criterions on how to choose the direction. Under given conditions, we obtain the significant conclusion that each choice of the direction satisfies the sufficient descent property. Based on the idea on how the function is close to a quadratic function, a new strategy for choosing the initial stepsize is presented for the line search. With the used nonmonotone Wolfe line search, we prove the global convergence of the proposed method for general nonlinear functions under mild assumptions. Numerical comparisons are given with well-known CGOPT and CG_DESCENT and show that the proposed algorithm is very promising.  相似文献

The second-order cone complementarity problem (denoted by SOCCP) can be effectively solved by smoothing-type algorithms, which in general are designed based on some monotone line search. In this paper, based on a new smoothing function of the Fischer–Burmeister function, we propose a smoothing-type algorithm for solving the SOCCP. The proposed algorithm uses a new nonmonotone line search scheme, which contains the usual monotone line search as a special case. Under suitable assumptions, we show that the proposed algorithm is globally and locally quadratically convergent. Some numerical results are reported which indicate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.  相似文献

The gradient sampling (GS) algorithm for minimizing a nonconvex, nonsmooth function was proposed by Burke et al. (SIAM J Optim 15:751–779, 2005), whose most interesting feature is the use of randomly sampled gradients instead of subgradients. In this paper, combining the GS technique with the sequential quadratic programming (SQP) method, we present a feasible SQP-GS algorithm that extends the GS algorithm to nonconvex, nonsmooth constrained optimization. The proposed algorithm generates a sequence of feasible iterates, and guarantees that the objective function is monotonically decreasing. Global convergence is proved in the sense that, with probability one, every cluster point of the iterative sequence is stationary for the improvement function. Finally, some preliminary numerical results show that the proposed algorithm is effective.  相似文献

We introduce an entropy-like proximal algorithm for the problem of minimizing a closed proper convex function subject to symmetric cone constraints. The algorithm is based on a distance-like function that is an extension of the Kullback-Leiber relative entropy to the setting of symmetric cones. Like the proximal algorithms for convex programming with nonnegative orthant cone constraints, we show that, under some mild assumptions, the sequence generated by the proposed algorithm is bounded and every accumulation point is a solution of the considered problem. In addition, we also present a dual application of the proposed algorithm to the symmetric cone linear program, leading to a multiplier method which is shown to possess similar properties as the exponential multiplier method (Tseng and Bertsekas in Math. Program. 60:1–19, 1993) holds.  相似文献

In this paper, we address a two-machine flow shop scheduling problem under simple linear deterioration. By a simple linear deterioration function, we mean that the processing time of a job is a simple linear function of its execution start time. The objective is to find a sequence that minimizes total weighted completion time. Optimal schedules are obtained for some special cases. For the general case, several dominance properties and two lower bounds are derived to speed up the elimination process of a branch-and-bound algorithm. A heuristic algorithm is also proposed to overcome the inefficiency of the branch-and-bound algorithm. Computational analysis on randomly generated problems is conducted to evaluate the branch-and-bound algorithm and heuristic algorithm.  相似文献
