An exact relation for the realization-averaged effective conductivities in the fractal region is found for two-dimensional randomly inhomogeneous media. It has the form {σ e (τ,L)~× {1/σ e (−τ,L)~−1=σ e 2 (τ=0, Lξ), where ξ is the correlation length (the self-averaging scale), L is the size of the system, τ=(p-p c )/p c , and p c is the percolation threshold. For Lξ, the system is self-averaged, and the relation transforms into the Dykhne reciprocity relation, A. M. Dykhne, Zh. éksp. Teor. Fiz. 59, 110 (1970) [Sov. Phys. JETP 32, 63 (1971)] σ e (τ)σ e (−τ])=σ e 2 (τ=0)= σ 1 σ 2. A similar relation is obtained for media with an exponentially broad distribution of local conductivities, as well as for individual realizations of some deterministic structures. Zh. éksp. Teor. A scan of the superconductor-nonsuperconductor transformation in single crystals of YBa2Cu3O6+x (x≈0.37) is done in two alternative ways, namely, by applying a magnetic field and by reducing the hole concentration through oxygen rearrangement. The in-plane normal-state resistivity ρab obtained in the two cases is quite similar; its temperature dependence can be fitted by a logarithmic law in a temperature range of almost two decades. However, an alternative representation of the temperature dependence of σab=1/ ρ ab by a power law, typical for a 3D material near a metal-insulator transition, is also plausible. The vertical conductivity σc=1/ρc followed a power law, and neither σc(T), nor ρc(T) could be fitted by log T. It follows from the ρc measurements that the transformation at T=0 is split into two transitions: superconductor-normal-metal and normal-metal-insulator. We analytically examine the asymptotic solution of gluon evolution equation in terms of the ‘double scaling variables’ρ andσ of perturbative QCD and find the approximate lower bounds on these, above which the solution is considered to be valid. Comparison of this asymptotic solution is made with the fit obtained from data and the estimated lower bound onρ is nearly equal to our analytical finding. To analyze the data below the lower bound onρ, other analytical solutions of gluon evolution equation are to be used which depend highly on the inputx-distributions of gluon to study the physics at low-x of HERA range.  相似文献

We study the meson exchange currents (MEC) mechanism for the pion double-charge exchange (DCX) reaction in a composite-meson model. The model assumes that the mesons are two-quark systems and can interact with each other only through quark loops. The contributions of the ρ, σ, and f0 mesons, the four-quark box diagram as well as a contact diagram has been taken into account. It is shown that the contribution of the ρ, σ, and f0 mesons increases the forward scattering cross-section in an average by 25% and decreases with energy.  相似文献

A calculation of the current-quark mass dependence of hadron masses can help in using observational data to place constraints on the variation of nature’s fundamental parameters. A hadron’s σ-term is a measure of this dependence. The connection between a hadron’s σ-term and the Feynman-Hellmann theorem is illustrated with an explicit calculation for the pion using a rainbow-ladder truncation of the Dyson-Schwinger equations: in the vicinity of the chiral limit σπ = mπ/2. This truncation also provides a decent estimate of σρ because the two dominant self-energy corrections to the ρ-meson’s mass largely cancel in their contribution to σρ. The truncation is less accurate for the ω, however, because there is little to compete with an ω → ρπ self-energy contribution that magnifies the value of σω by ≲25%. A Poincaré-covariant Faddeev equation, which describes baryons as composites of confined-quarks and -nonpointlike-diquarks, is solved to obtain the current-quark mass dependence of the masses of the nucleon and Δ, and thereby σN and σΔ. This “quark-core” piece is augmented by the “pion cloud” contribution, which is positive. The analysis yields σN ≃ 60 MeV and σΔ ≃ 50 MeV.  相似文献

In this paper, two approaches of constructing entanglement witnesses for finite- or infinite-dimensional bipartite quantum systems are presented. Let H A and H B be complex Hilbert spaces and {E k } and {F k } be sequences of self-adjoint Hilbert-Schmidt operators on H A and H B , respectively, such that Tr(EfkEl)=Tr(FfkFl)=dkl\mathrm{Tr}(E^{\dag}_{k}E_{l})=\mathrm{Tr}(F^{\dag}_{k}F_{l})=\delta_{kl}. Then W=I−∑ k E k F k is an entanglement witness on H A H B if W\not 3 0W\not\geq 0. If ρ is an entangled state and τ 0 is the nearest separable state to ρ under the Hilbert-Schmidt norm, then W=c 0 I+τ 0ρ with c 0=Tr[τ 0(ρτ 0)] is an entanglement witness.  相似文献

We point out a possible way to settle the issue of the Dirac neutrino mass hierarchy. Constraining the observed baryon asymmetry to the normal hierarchy mass model within the seesaw framework, we look for the possible structure of coveted Dirac neutrino masses. We have found the possible structure of the Dirac neutrino masses to be (λ72,1)v in terms of the parameter λ=0.3, with v as an overall scale factor. No Heading We show that the Dirac-von Neumann formalism for quantum mechanics can be obtained as an approximation of classical statistical field theory. This approximation is based on the Taylor expansion (up to terms of the second order) of classical physical variables – maps f : Ω → R, where Ω is the infinite-dimensional Hilbert space. The space of classical statistical states consists of Gaussian measures ρ on Ω having zero mean value and dispersion σ2(ρ) ≈ h. This viewpoint to the conventional quantum formalism gives the possibility to create generalized quantum formalisms based on expansions of classical physical variables in the Taylor series up to terms of nth order and considering statistical states ρ having dispersion σ2(ρ) = hn (for n = 2 we obtain the conventional quantum formalism).  相似文献

A comparative study of the longitudinal ρ xx and transverse ρ xy resistivities and magnetic susceptibility χ ac of La0.8Sr0.2MnO3 single crystals and ceramic samples has been conducted in a wide range of temperatures T=1.7–370 K and magnetic fields, H=0–13.6 T. It turned out that the relation ρ xy ρ xx , which is expected to hold in the case of carrier scattering by magnetic fluctuations, applies to the single crystals. In polycrystals, an additional H-dependent contribution to the resistivity tentatively attributed to plane (near grain boundaries) and bulk “defects” of the magnetic sublattice has been detected. The scattering of carriers by these defects does not make a notable contribution to the anomalous Hall effect and magnetic susceptibility χ ac. As a result, the curve of ρ xy versus ρ xx seems to be steeper than a linear dependence. Under the assumption that the materials under investigation are metals with constant carrier concentrations, the conductivity σ=1/ρ xx due to the critical magnetic scattering calculated in the molecular field approximation reproduces the main features of experimental data, namely, the drop in the amplitude and shift of the resistivity peak near the Curie point with increasing magnetic field H and also a relatively slow change in the derivative /dH with increasing temperature in the region T⩽T C . The large hole concentration of about two per unit cell derived from Hall measurements indicates that carriers of opposite signs can coexist in these materials. Zh. éksp. Teor. It has been shown that the observation of the transitions between the dielectric phase and the integer-quantum-Hall-effect phases with the quantized Hall conductivity σ xy q ≥ 3e 2/h announced in a number of works is unjustified. In these works, the crossing points of the magnetic-field dependence of the diagonal resistivity ρ xx at different temperatures T and ωcτ = 1 have been misidentified as the critical points of the phase transitions. In fact, these crossing points are due to the sign change of the derivative dρ xx /dT owing to the quantum corrections to the conductivity. Here, ωc = eB/m is the cyclotron frequency, τ is the transport relaxation time, and m is the effective electron mass.  相似文献

Bulk viscous fluid distribution with massive strings in LRS Bianchi type-1 space time is studied. The exact solutions of the field equations are obtained by using the equation of state ρ=−λ and ρ=λ. We observed that the bulk viscous fluid does not survive for ρ=−λ whereas it survives for ρ=λ. Some physical and geometrical properties of the models are discussed.  相似文献

We report a new formalism to obtain solutions of Einstein-Maxwell’s equations for static spheres assuming the matter content to be a charged perfect fluid of null-conductivity. Defining three new variablesu=4πεr 2,ν=4πpr 2 2 andw=(4π/3)(ρ+ε)r 2 whereε, ρ andε denote respectively energy densities of the electric, matter and free gravitational fields whereasp is the fluid pressure, Einstein’s field equations are rewritten in an elegant form. The solutions given by Bonnor [1], Nduka [2], Cooperstock and De la Cruz [3], Mehra [4], Tikekar [5,6], Xingxiang [7], Patino and Rago [8] are all shown to possess simple relations betweenu, v, andw whereas Pant and Sah’s [9] solution for which all the three functions,u, v, andw are constants is a trivial case of the present formalism, We have presented six new solutions with ε = 2ρ. For the first three solutionsw andu are constants withv as a variable whereas the remaining three solutions satisfy the equation of state for isothermal gas;v =kw =-ku where (i)k is an arbitrary constant but not equal to 1 or 1/3 (ii)k = 1 and (iii)k = 1/3. We also obtained a generalization of Cooperstock and De la Cruz’s [3] solution which is regular for 2ρ > ε but singular for 2ρ ≤ ε.  相似文献

Dark energy with the usually used equation of state p=γρ, where γ=const<0 is hydrodynamically unstable. To overcome this drawback we consider the cosmology of a perfect fluid with a linear equation of state of a more general form p=α(ρρ 0), where the constants α and ρ 0 are free parameters. The anisotropic Bianchi type-I cosmological model filled with dark energy has been considered. A generalized equation of state for the dark energy component of the universe has been used. The exact solutions to the corresponding Einstein field equations and the statefinder diagnostic pair i.e. {r,s} parameters have been obtained in three interesting cases (i) when ρ Λ>0 and A>0 (ii) when ρ Λ>0 and A<0 and (iii) when ρ Λ<0 and A>0 at the singularities i.e. t→0 and t→±∞.  相似文献

Bianchi Type-III cosmological models for perfect fluid distribution with time dependent displacement field in the framework of Lyra geometry are investigated. To get the deterministic model of the universe, we have assumed two conditions (i) shear (σ) is proportional to the expansion (θ). This leads to B=C n where B and C are metric potentials and n is a constant. (ii) Universe is filled with barotropic fluid distribution which leads to p=γ ρ, 0≤γ≤1, p being isotropic pressure and ρ the energy density. We perform rigorously the charge renormalization of the so-called reduced Bogoliubov-Dirac-Fock (rBDF) model. This nonlinear theory, based on the Dirac operator, describes atoms and molecules while taking into account vacuum polarization effects. We consider the total physical density ρ ph including both the external density of a nucleus and the self-consistent polarization of the Dirac sea, but no ‘real’ electron. We show that ρ ph admits an asymptotic expansion to any order in powers of the physical coupling constant α ph, provided that the ultraviolet cut-off behaves as L ~ e3p(1-Z3)/2aph >> 1{\Lambda\sim e^{3\pi(1-Z_3)/2\alpha_{\rm ph}} \gg 1}. The renormalization parameter 0 < Z 3 < 1 is defined by Z 3 = α ph/α, where α is the bare coupling constant. The coefficients of the expansion of ρ ph are independent of Z 3, as expected. The first order term gives rise to the well-known Uehling potential, whereas the higher order terms satisfy an explicit recursion relation.  相似文献

Bianchi type III cosmological model for perfect fluid distribution with variable G and Λ are investigated. To get the determinate models, we have assumed the barotropic condition p=γ ρ and shear (σ) is proportional to expansion (θ) where p is isotropic pressure, ρ the matter density and 0≤γ≤1. The paper considers macroscopic behavior of a Fermi–Dirac particle system. We prove the L 1-compactness of velocity averages of weak solutions of the Boltzmann equation for Fermi–Dirac particles in a periodic box with the collision kernel b(cos θ)|ρρ *|γ, which corresponds to very soft potentials: −5 < γ ≤ −3 with a weak angular cutoff: ∫0 π b(cos θ)sin 3θ dθ < ∞. Our proof for the averaging compactness is based on the entropy inequality, Hausdorff–Young inequality, the L -bounds of the solutions, and a specific property of the value-range of the exponent γ. Once such an averaging compactness is proven, the proof of the existence of weak solutions will be relatively easy.  相似文献

A study is reported of the dependence of magnetoresistance Δρ/ρ on the square of magnetization σ 2 of the semiconducting spinelide Cu0.625Ga0.375Cr2Se4, which exhibits a low-temperature transition from long-range magnetic order (LRMO) to the spin glass (SG) state in strong magnetic fields. It is shown that at the freezing temperature T f the Δρ/ρ(σ 2) relations change their slope, and that below T f this slope is about one half that for T>T f. This finding, together with the earlier observation that the freezing temperature does not depend on the frequency of the ac magnetic field in which it was measured, suggests that the spin-glass phase consists of spins of individual Cr3+ ions, and that the SG-LRMO crossover is a phase transition.
