We use an iteration scheme to approximate common fixed points of nearly asymptotically nonexpansive mappings.We generalize corresponding theorems of [1] to the case of two nearly asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and those of [9] not only to a larger class of mappings but also with better rate of convergence.  相似文献

Let be a Banach space, a weakly compact convex subset of and an asymptotically nonexpansive mapping. Under the usual assumptions on which assure the existence of fixed point for , we prove that the set of fixed points is a nonexpansive retract of . We use this result to prove that all known theorems about existence of fixed point for asymptotically nonexpansive mappings can be extended to obtain a common fixed point for a commuting family of mappings. We also derive some results about convergence of iterates.

In this paper, we established strong convergence theorems for a common fixed point of two asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and for a common fixed point of two asymptotically nonexpansive semigroups by using the hybrid method in a Hilbert space. Moreover, we also proved a strong convergence theorem for a common fixed point of two nonexpansive mappings. Our results extend and improve the recent ones announced by Kim and Xu [T.W. Kim, H.W. The purpose of this article is to prove strong convergence theorems for common fixed points of two closed hemi-relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces. In order to get the strong convergence theorems, the monotone hybrid algorithms are presented and are used to approximate the common fixed points. Finally, a new simplified hybrid algorithm has been proposed and relative convergence theorem has been proved by using the new method for proofs. The results of this article modify and improve the results of Matsushita, Takahashi [S. Matsushita, W. Takahashi, A strong convergence theorem for relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space, J. Approx. Theory 134 (2005) 257–266] and the results of Plubtieng, Ungchittrakool [S. Plubtieng, K. In order to get the strong convergence theorems, the monotone hybrid algorithms are presented and are used to approximate the common fixed points. In this paper, we introduce two modifications of the Ishikawa iteration, by using the hybrid methods, for asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and asymptotically nonexpansive semigroups in a Hilbert space. Then, we prove that such two sequences converge strongly to common fixed points of two symptotically nonexpansive mappings and asymptotically nonexpansive semigroups, respectively. The iteration scheme for families of nonexpansive mappings, essentially due to Halpern [Bull. Amer. Math. Soc. 73 (1967) 957-961], is established in a Banach space. The main theorem extends a recent result of O'Hara et al. [Nonlinear Anal. 54 (2003) 1417-1426] to a Banach space setting. For the same iteration scheme, with finitely many mappings, a complementary result to a result of Jung and Kim [Bull. Korean Math. Soc. 34 (1997) 93-102] (also Bauschke [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 202 (1996) 150-159]) is obtained by imposing other condition on the sequence of parameters. Our results also improve results in [C. R. Acad. Sci. Sér A-B Paris 284 (1977) 1357-1359; J. Math. Anal. Appl. 211 (1997) 71-83; Arch. Math. 59 (1992) 486-491] in framework of a Hilbert space.  相似文献
