The efficiencies and performances of silver nanoparticle loaded activated carbon modified with 2-(4-isopropylbenzylideneamino)thiophenol (IPBATP-Ag-NP-AC) and activated carbon modified with IPBATP (IPBATP-AC), as new sorbents, were evaluated for separation and preconcentration of Cu2+, Zn2+, Co2+, Cd2+ and Pb2+ ions from real environmental samples. The retained metals content was reversibly eluted using 5?mL of CH3COOH (6.0?mol?L?1) and/or 10?mL of 4.0?mol?L?1 HNO3 for IPBATP-Ag-NP-AC and IPBATP-AC, respectively. The experimental parameters influence the recoveries of metal ions including pH, amounts of ligand and supports, condition of eluents, sample and eluent flow rates of has been investigated. The preconcentration factors were found to be 100 for Zn2+, Cd2+, Co2+, Cu2+ and 50 for Pb2+ ions using IPBATP-Ag-NP-AC, and 50 for Zn2+, Cd2+, Co2+, Cu2+ and 25 for Pb2+ ions using IPBATP-AC. The detection limit of both SPE-based sorbents was between 1.6–2.5?ng?mL?1 for IPBATP-AC and 1.3–2.5?ng?mL?1 for IPBATP-Ag-NP-AC. The proposed methods have been successfully applied for the extraction and determination of the understudy metal ions content in some real samples with extraction efficiencies higher than 90% and relative standard deviations (RSD) lower than 2.4%.  相似文献

Amberlite XAD-4 modified with N-para-anisidine-3,5-di-tert-butylsalicylaldimine was investigated as a new chealting sorbent for the selective separation and preconcentration of Cu(II). The metal ion was retained by chemical sorption on the modified resin, eluted by hydrochloric acid, and determined by high-resolution continuum source flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The prepared resin was characterized for the solid-phase extraction of Cd2+, Co2+, Cr3+, Cu2+, Fe3+, Mn2+, Ni2+, Pb2+, and Zn2+ in a column. The influence of the pH, the mass of solid phase, eluent, flow rate, and sample volume was optimized. Using the optimum conditions, only Cu(II) showed quantitative sorption at the 95% confidence level, and the recoveries of the other metal ions were below 80%. A preconcentration factor 125 was obtained for Cu(II) with a limit of detection of 0.56?µg?L?1. The method was used for the determination of Cu(II) in tap water, river water, tomato leaves, and fish. The relative standard deviation and the relative error were lower than 7%.  相似文献

A method for the simultaneous preconcentration of Cu2+,Zn2+ and Fe3+ ions, in some food samples has been reported. The method is based on the adsorption of 3‐(1‐(1‐H‐indol‐3‐yl)‐3‐phenylallyl)‐1H‐indole (IPAI) loaded on Duolite XAD 761. The metal ions adsorbed on the modified solid phase resin are eluted using 6 mL of 4 mol L?1 nitric acid. The influences of the analytical parameters including pH and amount of ligand and solid phase and type and amount of surfactant and sample volume on the metal ions recoveries were investigated. The effects of matrix ions on the retentions of the analytes were also examined. The recoveries of analytes were generally higher than 95% with a RSD lower than 5%. The method has been successfully applied for these metals content evaluation in some real samples.  相似文献

Trace amounts of Fe3+, Pb2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Co2+ and Zn2+ ions were efficiently enriched following complexation with silica-gel chemically functionalized with 2-((3-silylpropylimino)methyl)-5-bromophenol. The enriched metal ions efficiently eluted with 6?mL of 4.0?mol?L?1 nitric acid and their metal contents were determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). The influences of the analytical parameters and experimental variables on the recoveries of the metal ions under study were investigated and optimized. The method has high sorption preconcentration efficiency even in the presence of various interfering ions. At optimum values of all variables the method is applicable for analysis of real samples with recoveries in the range of 95 to 105% with RSD lower than 4.2% and detection limits between 1.4 and 2.8?µg?L?1.  相似文献

In the present study, the ?5-(4-dimethylaminobenzylidene)rhodanin-modified SBA-15? was applied as stable solid sorbent for the separation and preconcentration of trace amounts of cobalt ions in aqueous solution. SBA-15 was modified by ?5-(4-dimethylaminobenzylidene)rhodanin reagent. The sorption of Co2+ ions was done onto modified sorbent in the pH range of 6.8–7.9 and desorption occurred in 5.0 mL of 3.0 mol L?1 HNO3. The results exhibit a linear dynamic range from 0.01 to 6.0 mg L?1 for cobalt. Intra-day (repeatability) and inter-day (reproducibility) for 10 replicated determination of 0.06 mg L?1 of cobalt was ±1.82% and ?±1.97%?. Detection limit was 4.2 µg L?1 (3Sb, n = 5) and preconcentration factor was 80. The effects of the experimental parameters, including the sample pH, flow rates of sample and eluent solution, eluent type and interference ions were studied for the preconcentration of Co2+. The proposed method was applied for the determination of cobalt in standard samples, water samples and agricultural products.  相似文献

For the first time, a new mode of dispersive solid‐phase extraction is presented as a simple, rapid, adsorbent‐free and environmentally friendly method for the simultaneous microextraction and preconcentration of trace amounts of two metal ions (Pb2+ and Cr3+) and two anionic azo dyes (reactive yellow 15 (RY15) and reactive black 5 (RB5)). This method is based upon the in situ formation of a layered double hydroxide (LDH) nanosorbent through an electrostatic induction process. In this method, extraction of the analytes is performed simultaneously with the formation of the nanosorbent only by adding hydroxide ions. After extraction and separation of the sorbent from the sample solution through a syringe nanofilter, the analytes are eluted by dissolving the LDHs in an acidic solution. Finally, the extracted metal cations and anionic azo dyes are directly determined by micro‐sampling flame atomic absorption spectrometry and micro‐volume UV–visible spectrophotometry, respectively. Under the optimal experimental conditions including 20 μmol of hydroxide ions, 248.4:20.8 μg l?1 of M2+:M3+ ions, 12 cycles of air agitation and 200 μl of CF3COOH (2 M), good linearities were obtained for Pb2+, Cr3+, RY15 and RB5 in the concentration ranges 50–600, 5.0–280, 30–2500 and 30–2000 ng ml?1, respectively, with correlation of determinations higher than 0.995. The preconcentration factor for the target analytes was 50 in a 10 ml sample solution. The limits of detection were found to be 15, 1.5, 10 and 10 μg l?1 for Pb2+, Cr3+, RY15 and RB5, respectively. The intra‐day and inter‐day precisions were in the ranges 4.3–6.1 and 5.5–6.8%, respectively. Additionally, the presented method is applicable for the analysis of the target analytes in different water samples with reasonable recoveries (>87%).  相似文献

In this study, a carbon paste electrode modified with a novel 1-(3-aminopropyl) imidazole functionalised crosslinked chlorosulfonated poly(styrene)-divinyl benzene polymer was used for selective and sensitive determination of the trace amounts of Pb2+, Cu2+ and Hg2+ ions by square wave anodic stripping voltammetry. The effect of some parameters such as paste composition, pH, preconcentration time, reduction potential and time, type of supporting electrolyte and potential scan rate on the determination of metal ions were investigated to find the optimal conditions. The effective open-circuit accumulation of the studied metal ions was succeeded only by the modification of the carbon paste electrode with functional polymer. For 6 min open-circuit preconcentration, the detection limit of Pb2+, Cu2+ and Hg2+ was found to be 5, 9 and 14 µgL?1, respectively at 100 mVs?1. The results confirmed that the lower concentration levels of these trace metal ions can be determined with the increase of preconcentration time and/or potential scan rate. Good detection limits and large dynamic concentration ranges were also obtained for their binary and ternary mixtures. The optimised method was successively applied to determine the concentration of Pb2+, Cu2+ ions in the tap water sample and Cu2+ ion in the waste water sample in the presence of possible interfering species (RSD<1%, recoveries 96–110% for 4 min preconcentration).  相似文献

A sensitive and simple method has been established for simultaneous preconcentration of trace amounts of Pb (II) and Ni (II) ions in water samples prior to their determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. This method was based on the using of a micro-column filled with graphene oxide as an adsorbent. The influences of various analytical parameters such as solution pH, adsorbent amount, eluent type and volume, flow rates of sample and eluent, and matrix ions on the recoveries of the metal ions were investigated. Using the optimum conditions, the calibration graphs were linear in the range of 7–260 and 5–85 μg L?1 with detection limits (3Sb) of 2.1 and 1.4 μg L?1 for lead and nickel ions, respectively. The relative standard deviation for 10 replicate determinations of 50 μg L?1 of lead and nickel ions were 4.1% and 3.8%, respectively. The preconcentration factors were 102.5 and 95 for lead and nickel ions, respectively. The adsorption capacity of the adsorbent was also determined. The method was successfully applied to determine the trace amounts of Pb (II) and Ni (II) ions in real water samples. The validation of the method was also performed by the standard reference material.  相似文献

Polystyrene (PS) was extracted from styrofoam waste and functionalised with schiff base, N,N-bis(salicylidene)cyclohexanediamine (SCHD) through an azo spacer. The resin was characterised and used for preconcentration of Pb(II), Ni(II) and Cd(II) ions prior to their trace determinations by microsample injection system–coupled flame atomic absorption spectrometry (MIS-FAAS). The recoveries of studied metal ions were achieved ≥96.0% with relative standard deviation (RSD) ≤4.5 at optimum parameters: pH 8; resin amount 300 mg; flow rates 3.0 mL min?1 of sample solution; and 2.0 mL min?1 of eluent (2.0 mol L?1 HNO3). The limits of detection (LODs) and limits of quantification (LOQs) were found to be 0.32, 0.23 and 0.21 and 1.10, 0.78 and 0.69 μg L?1, respectively, with preconcentration factors (PFs) of 500, 800 and 1000, respectively. The linear ranges of the method were 1–40, 1–25 and 1–20 μg L?1 for Pb(II), Ni(II) and Cd(II) ions, respectively. The accuracy and validation of the method were evaluated by analysis of certified reference materials (CRMs). The method was successfully applied for preconcentration of studied metal ions in wastewater and wastewater-irrigated vegetable samples.  相似文献

A solid phase extraction procedure has been developed using multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) as a solid sorbent and quinalizarin [1,2,5,8-tetrahydroxyanthracene-9,10-dione] as a chelating agent for separation and preconcentration of trace amounts of some heavy metal ions, Cd(II), Cu(II), Ni(II), Pb(II) and Zn(II) before their determination by flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (FAAS). The influences of the analytical parameters, including pH, amounts of quinalizarin and adsorbent, sample volume, elution conditions such as volume and concentration of eluent, flow rates of solution and matrix ions, were investigated for the optimum recoveries of the analyte ions. No interference effects were observed from the foreign metal ions. The preconcentration factor was 100. The detection limit (LOD) for the investigated metals at the optimal conditions were observed in the range of 0.30–0.65 μg L?1. The relative standard deviation (RSDs), and the recoveries of standard addition for this method were lower than 5.0% and 96–102%, respectively. The new procedure was successfully applied to the determination of analytes in food, water and environmental samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

The effect of dimensions (length and external diameter) of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) on its preconcentration efficiency towards some metal ions (Pb2+, Cd2+, Cu2+, Zn2+ and MnO4) from environmental waters prior to their analysis by flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (FAAS) was investigated. MWCNTs (as-received from the manufacturer) of various external diameters and lengths were involved. Other variables optimized included effects of pH of water sample, composition and volume of eluent, mass of the MWCNTs, breakthrough volume and coexisting ions. Maximum recovery of metal ions was obtained at pH 9 where it was thought that precipitation of metals as their hydroxides played the major factor in metals uptake by MWCNT. It was suggested that the use of appropriate dimensions of MWCNTs may support the trapping process of the precipitated metal hydroxides by MWCNTs. It was found that long MWCNT of length 5-15 μm and external diameter 10-30 nm gave the highest enrichment efficiency towards almost all the targeted metal ions. It could be used for preconcentration of MnO4, Cu2+, Zn2+ and Pb2+ with almost full recovery; but not for Cd2+ due to its low recovery. The optimized solid phase extraction (SPE) procedure was capable of determining metal ions in the linear range 20-100 ng mL−1 (except for Zn2+ from 20 to 150 ng mL−1). Detection limits were 0.709 ng mL−1 for MnO4, 0.278 ng mL−1 for Pb2+, 0.465 ng mL−1 for Cu2+, 0.867 ng mL−1 for Zn2+. Application of the optimized SPE procedure to environmental waters (tap water, reservoir water and stream water) gave spike recoveries of the metals in the range of 81-100%.  相似文献

A stable chelating resin matrix was prepared by covalently linking resorcinol with polyurethane foam matrix through a –N=N– group. Preconcentration and determination of trace Ag+ and Hg2+ ions from samples of different origin, using Res-PUF, were studied. Various conditions influencing the sorption of these metal ions onto Res-PUF were optimized. The kinetics of sorption of the Ag+ and Hg2+ by Res-PUF were found to be fast, reached equilibrium in few minutes (5–10?min) and followed a first-order rate equation with an overall rate constant k in 0.102 and 0.267/min, respectively. Study of the variation of the sorption of the tested metal ions with temperature yielded average values for ΔG, ΔH and ΔS of ?3.94, ?22.02 and ?58.37, respectively. The mean free sorption energy (E) computed from the Dubinin–Radushkevich (D–R) isotherm was found to be equal to 8.91 kJ/mol, which reflects the chelation sorption process. The capacities of the foam material were 0.15 and 0.07?mmol/g for Ag+ and Hg2+, respectively. Preconcentration factors of?>?50 were achieved (RSD?≈?5.99). The proposed preconcentration procedure was applied successfully to the determination of trace metal ions in natural and wastewater samples.  相似文献

A column, solid phase extraction (SPE), preconcentration method was developed for determination of silver by using alumina coated with 1-((5-nitrofuran-2-yl)methylene)thiosemicarbazide and determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The separation/preconcentration conditions for the quantitative recovery were investigated. At pH 2, the maximum sorption capacity of Ag+ was 7.5?mg?g?1. The linearity was maintained in the concentration range of 0.02–11.0?µg?mL?1 in the final solution or 0.14–1.10?×?104?ng?mL?1 in the original solution for silver. The preconcentration factor of 140 and relative standard deviation of ±1.4% was obtained, under optimum conditions. The limit of detection (LOD) was calculated as 0.112?ng?mL?1, based on 3σbl/m (n?=?8) in the original solutions. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination trace amounts of silver in the environmental samples such as tea, rice and wheat flour, mint, and real water samples.  相似文献

A magnetic composite of silver/iron oxides/carbon nanotubes (Ag/Fe3O4/CNTs) was synthesized and used as an adsorbent for the preconcentration of mercury ions in water solutions at room temperature (25°C) in this study. The silver nanoparticles were supported on the magnetic CNTs. The modification enabled the composite had not only a high adsorption capacity for mercury ions (Hg2+) but also the magnetic isolation properties. A fast, sensitive, and simple method was successfully developed for the preconcentration and determination of trace amount of Hg2+ in water using the synthesized nanocomposite as adsorbent. The mercury concentration was determined by an atomic fluorescence spectrometer (AFS). The experimental conditions such as pH value, extraction temperature, extraction time, sample volume, eluent composition and concentration, sorbent amount, and coexisting ions were investigated for the optimization. A 500 mL of sample volume resulted in a preconcentration factor of 125. When a 200 mL of sample was employed, the limit of detection for Hg2+ was as low as 0.03 ng mL?1with relative standard deviation of 4.4% at 0.1 ng mL?1 (n = 7). The ease of synthesis and separation, the good adsorption capacity, and the satisfactory recovery will possibly make the composite an attractive adsorbent for the preconcentration of ultratrace Hg2+ in waters.  相似文献

A fast and simple method for preconcentration of Ni^2+, Cd^2+, Pb^2+, Zn^2+, Cu^2+ and Co^2+ from natural water samples was developed. The metal ions were complexed with sodium diethyldithiocarbamate (Na-DDTC), then adsorbed onto octadecyl silica membrane disk, recovered and determined by FAAS. Extraction efficiency, influence of sample volume and eluent flow rates, effects of pH, amount of Na-DDTC, nature and amount of eluent for elution of metal ions from membrane disk, break through volume and limit of detection have been evaluated. The effect of foreign ions on the percent recovery of heavy metal ions has also been studied. The limit of detection of the proposed method for Ni^2+, Cd^2+, Pb^2+, Zn^2+, Cu^2+ and Co^2+was found to be 2.03, 0.47, 3.13, 0.44, 1.24 and 2.05 ng·mL^-1, respectively. The proposed (DDTC) method has been successfully applied to the recovery and determination of heavy metal ions in different water samples.  相似文献

A new, simple, fast and reliable solid-phase extraction method has been developed for separation/preconcentration of trace amounts of Pb(II) using dithizone/sodium dodecyl sulfate-immobilized on alumina-coated magnetite nanoparticles, and its determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) and graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GFAAS) after eluting with 4.0?mol?L?1 HNO3. Optimal experimental conditions including pH, sample volume, eluent concentration and volume, and co-existing ions have been studied and established. Under the optimal experimental conditions, the preconcentration factor, detection limit, linear range and relative standard deviation of Pb(II) using FAAS technique were 280 (for 560?mL of sample solution), 0.28?ng?mL?1, 1.4?C70?ng?mL?1 and 4.6% (for 10?ng?mL?1, n?=?10), respectively. These analytical parameters using GFAAS technique were 300 (for 600?mL of sample solution), 0.002?ng?mL?1, 0.006?C13.2?ng?mL?1 and 3.1% (for 5?ng?mL?1, n?=?10), respectively. The presented procedure was successfully applied for determination of Pb(II) content in opium, heroin, lipstick, plants and water samples.  相似文献

A cloud point extraction procedure for the preconcentration of copper, nickel, iron and zinc ions in various samples has been described. Analyte ions in aqueous phase are complexed with 3-((indolin-3-yl)(phenyl)methyl)indoline (IYPMI) and following centrifugation quantitatively extracted to the aqueous phase rich in Triton X-114. The surfactant-rich phase was dissolved in 2.0 mol L−1 HNO3 in methanol prior to metal content determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). The effects of some parameters including, the concentrations of IYPMI, Triton X-114 and HNO3, bath temperature, centrifuge rate and time were investigated on the recoveries of analyte ions. At optimum conditions, the detection limits of (3 SDb m−1) of 1.6, 2.8, 2.1 and 1.1 ng mL−1 for Cu2+, Fe3+, Ni2+ and Zn2+ along with preconcentration factors of 30 and enrichment factor of 48, 39, 34 and 52 for Cu2+, Ni2+, Fe3+ and Zn2+ respectively, were obtained. The proposed cloud point extraction has been successfully applied for the determination of metal ions in real samples with complicated matrix such as biological, soil and blood samples with high efficiency.   相似文献

In this work a solid phase on-line uranium ion preconcentration system coupled with spectrophotometry has been developed. The method is based on uranyl ion preconcentration at pH 3.75 onto multiwall carbon nanotubes treated with HNO3. After preconcentration, the uranyl ions are eluted with 0.32?mol?L?1HCl followed by reaction with 3,6-bis[(2-arsonophenyl)-azo]-4,5-dihydroxy-2,7-naphthalendisulfonic acid 0.08%[w/v] (Arsenazo III), which had maximum monitored absorbance of 650?nm. Effects of the pertinent experimental parameters on the system were investigated by means of 26?2 fractional factorial design, while optimization was carried out using the Doehlert matrix. Under optimized conditions, detection and quantification limits were found to be 0.21 and 0.7?µg?L?1, respectively. The analytical curve ranged from 5 to 150?µg?L?1 (r?=?0.998), while the relative standard deviations (RSD) were 3.27 and 2.56% for the respective uranium concentrations of 10 and 100?µg?L?1 (n?=?10). The features obtained for the on-line preconcentration system were: preconcentration factor of 228, concentration efficiency of 57?min?1, consumption index of 0.13?mL and sample throughput of 15?h?1. In order to assess the accuracy of the proposed method, addition and recovery studies were carried out on spring water samples from different sources and synthetic seawater with satisfactory results ranging from 94.85 up to 103.65%.  相似文献

A solid phase extraction method for simultaneous preconcentration and separation of trace amounts of copper, cobalt and silver in different samples, using a column packed with modified Amberlyst®15 resin is developed. Amberlyst®15 resin was modified with 5-(4-dimethylaminobenzylidene)rhodanine and then the modified resin was used as a support material for the solid phase extraction and preconcentration of Cu(II), Co(II) and Ag(I) ions from aqueous solution in the pH range 3.5–4.5. The adsorbed metal ions on the column were quantitatively eluted with a 7% thiourea solution prepared in 2?mol?L?1 HNO3, which were detected by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The effects of analytical parameters including pH of the solution, eluent type, flow rate of samples, eluent and matrix ions were investigated for optimization of the presented procedure. The detection limits were 2.1, 0.9 and 0.9?ng?mL?1 for Cu(II), Co(II) and Ag(I) ions, respectively based on the three times the standard deviations of the blanks. The preconcentration factor was 112.5. The calibration graphs were obtained in the ranges of 0.05 to 10.0, 0.03 to 13.0 and 0.04 to 9.0?µg?mL?1 for Cu(II), Co(II) and Ag(I) ions concentrations, respectively. Relative standard deviations (n?=?7) for Cu(II), Co(II) and Ag(I) ions were found ±2.5 %, ±0.84% and ±3.8% respectively. The method was applied to the determination of mentioned ions in well water, waste water and lettuce sample.  相似文献

A new class of solid‐phase extraction column prepared with grafted mercapto‐silica polymerized high internal phase emulsion particles was used for the preconcentration of trace lead. First, mercapto‐silica polymerized high internal phase emulsion particles were synthesized by using high internal phase emulsion polymerization and carefully assembled in a polyethylene syringe column. The influences of various parameters including adsorption pH value, adsorption and desorption solvents, flow rate of the adsorption and desorption procedure were optimized, respectively, and the suitable uploading sample volumes, adsorption capacity, and reusability of solid phase extraction column were also investigated. Under the optimum conditions, Pb2+ could be preconcentrated quantitatively over a wide pH range (2.0–5.0). In the presence of foreign ions, such as Na+, K+, Ca2+, Zn2+, Mg2+, Cu2+, Fe2+, Cd2+, Cl? and NO3?, Pb2+ could be recovered successfully. The prepared solid‐phase extraction column performed with high stability and desirable durability, which allowed more than 100 replicate extractions without measurable changes of performance. The feasibility of the developed method was further validated by the extraction of Pb2+ in rice samples. At three spiked levels of 40.0, 200 and 800 μg/kg, the average recoveries for Pb2+ in rice samples ranged from 87.3 to 105.2%.  相似文献
