A group G is said to satisfy the maximal permutizer condition if the permutizer of any maximal subgroup M of G in G, PG(M), is G. In this paper, we characterize the supersolubility of finite groups by using the maximal permutizer condition. We also get some results for when both G/N and N are supersoluble, which implies that G is supersoluble. Our results unify or generalize some known results.  相似文献

A subgroup H of G is said to be $\pi$-quasinormal in G if it permute with every Sylow subgroup of G. In this paper, we extend the study on the structure of a finite group under the assumption that some subgroups of G are $\pi$-quasinormal in G. The main result we proved in this paper is the following:Theorem 3.4. Let ${\cal F}$ be a saturated formation containing the supersolvable groups. Suppose that G is a group with a normal subgroup H such that $G/H \in {\cal F}$, and all maximal subgroups of any Sylow subgroup of $F^{*}(H)$ are $\pi$-quasinormal in G, then $G \in {\cal F}$. In this paper, we show that all Coleman automorphisms of a finite group with self-central minimal non-trivial characteristic subgroup are inner; therefore the normalizer property holds for these groups. Using our methods we show that the holomorph and wreath product of finite simple groups, among others, have no non-inner Coleman automorphisms. As a further application of our theorems, we provide partial answers to questions raised by M. Hertweck and W. Kimmerle. Furthermore, we characterize the Coleman automorphisms of extensions of a finite nilpotent group by a cyclic p-group. Finally, we note that class-preserving Coleman automorphisms of p-power order of some nilpotent-by-nilpotent groups are inner, extending a result by J. Hai and J. Let H and K be normal subgroups of a finite group G and let KH. If A is a subgroup of G such that AH=AK or AH=AK, we say that A covers or avoids H/K respectively. The purpose of this paper is to investigate factor groups of a finite group G using this concept. The existence of a solvable non-normal Fitting class F which is not a Lockett class but for which the Lockett Conjecture still holds are studied. We also prove that there exists an ω-local Fitting class F which does not satisfy the Lockett conjecture but the Lockett conjecture still holds under a given condition. As a consequence of our result, a generalized version of the Lausch's problem in the well-known Kourovka Notebook is answered.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group. The question of how certain arithmetical conditions on the lengths of the conjugacy classes of G influence the group structure has been studied by several authors. In this paper we study restrictions on the structure of a finite group in which the lengths of conjugacy classes are not divisible by p 2 for some prime p. Let G be a finite group and a formation of finite groups. We say that a subgroup H of G is -supplemented in G if there exists a subgroup T of G such that G = TH and is contained in the -hypercenter of G/H G . In this paper, we use -supplemented subgroups to study the structure of finite groups. A series of previously known results are unified and generalized. 设F是一个群系.群G的一个子群H在G中F-S-可补,如果存在G的子群K,使得G=HK且K/K∩HG∈F,其中HG表示G包含在H中的最大的正规子群.本文利用群系理论研究子群的F-S-可补性对有限群结构的影响,得到如下结论:设F是子群闭的局部群系,G是有限群且GF是可解的.则G∈F的充要条件是下列条件之一:(1)G存在正规子群N使得G/N∈F且N的极小子群及4阶循环子群(p=2)均在G中F-S-可补.(2)G存在正规子群N使得G/N∈F,N的4阶循环子群在G中有F-S-补且N的极小子群皆包含在Z∞F(G)中.应用这些结论,可以得到一些推论,其中包括已知的相关结果.  相似文献
