Samples of Bi1−xTbxFeO3, with x=0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20 and 0.25, have been synthesised by solid state reaction. The crystal structures of the perovskite phases, characterised via Rietveld analysis of high resolution powder neutron diffraction data, reveal a structural transition from the R3c symmetry of the parent phase BiFeO3 to orthorhombic Pnma symmetry, which is complete for x=0.20. The x=0.10 and 0.15 samples are bi-phasic. The transition from a rhombohedral to orthorhombic unit cell is suggested to be driven by the dilution of the stereochemistry of the Bi3+ lone pair at the A-site. The G-type antiferromagnetic spin structure, the size of the ordered magnetic moment (∼3.8 μB) and the TN (∼375 °C) are relatively insensitive to increasing Tb concentrations at the A-site.  相似文献

The (Ca1-2xNaxLax)TiO3 (0?x?0.5) A-site substituted perovskite compounds have been synthesized and characterized by XRD and Raman spectroscopy at room temperature. The XRD powder diffraction study suggests that the end-member Na1/2La1/2TiO3 crystallizes in the tetragonal space group I4/mcm. The phase transition from Pbnm to I4/mcm is located between x=0.34 and 0.39 and is driven by the variation of ionic radii at the A-site. The observed Raman modes are in agreement with group theory analysis, and the relationships between the behavior of structural parameters (e.g. Ti-O-Ti bond angle), indicated by long-range order, and the corresponding Raman frequency shifts and intensity evolution, indicated by short-range order, are established and discussed in terms of the radius effect and the mass effect.  相似文献

The characteristics of epoxy/(Ba0.8Sr0.2)(Ti0.9Zr0.1)O3 (BSTZ) composites are investigated for the further application in embedded capacitor device. The effects of BSTZ ceramic powder filler ratio on the chemical, physical and dielectric properties of epoxy/BSTZ composites are studied. Differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) thermal analysis is conducted to determine the optimum values of hardener agent, curing temperature, reaction heat, and glass transition temperature (Tg). The hardener reaction process starts at about 115 °C and completes at about 200 °C, for that it is appropriate to process of epoxy/BSTZ composites in the range of temperature. The highest glass transition temperature (Tg) of 155 °C is obtained at one equivalent weight ratio (hardener/epoxy). Only the BSTZ phase can be detected in the XRD patterns of epoxy/BSTZ composites. The more BSTZ ceramic powder is mixed with epoxy, the higher crystalline intensity of tetragonal BSTZ phase are revealed in the XRD patterns. The dielectric constant measured at 1 MHz increases from 5.8 to 23.6 as the content of BSTZ ceramic powder in the epoxy/BSTZ composites increases from 10 to 70 wt%. The loss tangents of the epoxy/BSTZ composites slightly increase with the increase of measurement frequency.  相似文献

The binary phase diagram of KNO3-KClO3 is studied by means of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and high-temperature X-ray diffraction. The limited solid solutions, K(NO3)1−x(ClO3)x (0<x<0.20) and K(NO3)1−x(ClO3)x (0.90<x<1.0), were formed in the KNO3-based solid solutions and KClO3-based solid solutions phase, respectively. For KNO3-based solid solutions, KNO3 ferroelectric phase can be stable from 423 to 223 K as a result of substituting of NO3 by ClO3-radicals. The temperatures for solidus and liquidus have been determined based on limited solid solutions. Two models, Henrian solution and regular solution theory for KNO3-based (α) phase and KClO3-based (β) phase, respectively, are employed to reproduce solidus and liquidus of the phase diagram. The results are in good agreement with the DSC data. The thermodynamic properties for α and β solid solutions have been derived from an optimization procedure using the experimental data. The calculated phase diagram and optimized thermodynamic parameters are thermodynamically self-consistent.  相似文献

The influence of small amounts of Fe3+ on the phase transitions of CaTiO3 perovskite has been studied by means of in situ high-temperature neutron diffraction. The same sequence of phase transitions as observed in CaTiO3 is shown by both CaTi0.9Fe0.1O2.95 and CaTi0.8Fe0.2O2.90 perovskites: from orthorhombic Pnma symmetry at room temperature (RT) to cubic Pm3m at high temperature, with an intermediate I4/mcm tetragonal phase which exists over a temperature range of about 100°C. The two phase boundaries in the temperature vs composition phase diagram of the system CaFexTi1−xO3−x/2 (0≤x≤0.4) decrease in a quasi-linear manner with increasing Fe content up to x=0.2 and then they both drop abruptly to RT. The existence of a second orthorhombic phase (Cmcm), which has been postulated for CaTiO3, is ruled out in the Fe-doped CaTiO3 perovskites in view of the behavior of specific diffraction peaks. Strain analysis shows first-order thermodynamic character for the PnmaI4/mcm transition, while the character of the Pm3mI4/mcm transition could be second order or tricritical. Shear strains behave more or less classically, as described by order parameter coupling and shear strain/order parameter coupling models. The volume strain has an anomalous coupling with the order parameter components, which appears to be temperature-dependent.  相似文献

The results of the X-ray structural study for the K4LiH3(SO4)4 single crystal are presented at a wide temperature range. The thermal expansion of the crystal using the X-ray dilatometry and the capacitance dilatometry from 8 to 500 K was carried out. The crystal structures data collection, solution and refinement at 125, 295, 443 and 480 K were performed. The K4LiH3(SO4)4 crystal has tetragonal symmetry with the P41 space group (Z=4) at room temperature as well as at the considered temperature range. The existence of a low-temperature, para-ferroelastic phase transition at about 120 K is excluded. The layered structure of the crystal reflects a cleavage plane parallel to (001) and an anisotropy of the protonic conductivity. The superionic high-temperature phase transition at TS=425 K is isostructural. Nevertheless, taking into account an increase of the SO4 tetrahedra libration above TS, a mechanism of the Grotthus type could be applied for the proton transport explanation.  相似文献

Changes in structure and dielectric properties at elevated temperatures have been investigated on single-crystals of sodium potassium niobate, Na0.5K0.5NbO3, grown by the flux method. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies revealed that the crystals underwent orthorhombic-tetragonal and tetragonal-cubic phase transitions at 465 and 671 K during heating and 446 and 666 K during cooling, respectively. Both transitions were accompanied by volumetric discontinuities of collapse upon heating and expansion upon cooling, suggesting that the transitions were of the first order. The coordination numbers of an Nb showed a decreasing tendency with decreasing temperature, i.e., 6 in cubic, 5+1 in tetragonal and 4+2 in orthorhombic. An Na atom occupied a slightly different position from the K atom in 12-fold coordination, resulting in fewer coordination numbers of 8+4 in cubic and tetragonal and 7+5 in orthorhombic. The spontaneous polarisation (Ps) estimated from the atom positions and formal charges were approximately 0.29 C m−2 in orthorhombic and 0.18 C m−2 in tetragonal. The contribution of the alkaline oxide components to Ps was estimated to be approximately 15% in both ferroelectric forms. The temperature-induced transitions were also confirmed through the dielectric constant and dielectric loss at various frequencies and the differential scanning calorimetry.  相似文献

Bi(Mg0.5Hf0.5)O3–modified BiFeO3–BaTiO3 ternary solid solutions of (0.725-x)BiFeO3-0.275BaTiO3-xBi(Mg0.5Hf0.5)O3 (0 < x ≤ 0.05, abbreviated as BFO-BTO-xBMHO) were prepared for lead-free piezoelectrics. The addition of BMHO delivers a rhombohedral (R3c, denoted as R-phase) to tetragonal (P4mm, denoted as T-phase) phase transition at x = 0.05, giving the coexistence of R- and T-phase in intermediate compositions: R-phase dominated in x = 0.01–0.02 and T-phase dominated in x = 0.03–0.04. The increment of BMHO tunes the grain size, lowers the ferroelectric transition temperature (TC) and dielectric loss (tanδ), and drives a gradually ferroelectric to relaxor transition. The morphotropic phase boundary between the R-and T-phases, together with the homogeneous morphology, results in the best performance for x = 0.04 case with piezoelectric d33 of 130 pC/N, Kp of 0.286, Qm of 58.993, electrostrain Smax of 0.18%, and TC of 428 °C, showing potential applications for lead-free piezoelectric ceramics at considerably high temperature.  相似文献

The relaxor ferroelectric Pb2Bi4Ti5O18 has been studied by Rietveld refinement of powder neutron diffraction data collected at temperatures of 100, 250 and 400 °C. Our refinements are compatible with the ‘average’ crystal structure of Pb2Bi4Ti5O18 undergoing the phase transition sequence F2mmI4mmI4/mmm as a function of increasing temperature, with the latter phase being observed above the known ferroelectric Curie temperature, Tm, and the intermediate phase consistent with a previously observed dielectric anomaly around 207 °C. The results are, however, in conflict with both observation of a symmetry lowering (to space group B2eb) in the lowest temperature phase, observed by electron diffraction, and also with electrical property measurements, which suggest both a- and c-axis polarisation up to Tm. Nevertheless, these crystallographic results are consistent with the observation of relaxor behaviour in this material, and underline the importance of considering ‘long-range’ versus ‘local’ structural effects in relaxor materials.  相似文献

Phase equilibria, crystal structure, and transport properties in the (100−x) La0.95Ni0.6Fe0.4O3-xCeO2 (LNFCx) system (x=2-75 mol%) were studied in air. Evolution of phase compositions and crystal structure of components was observed. The LNFCx (2≤x≤10) are three-phase and comprise the perovskite phase with rhombohedral symmetry (R3?c), the modified ceria with fluorite structure (Fm3?m), and NiO as a secondary phase. These multiphase compositions exhibit metallic-like conductivity above 300 °C. Their conductivity gradually decreases from 395.6 to 260.6 S/cm, whereas the activation energy remains the same (Ea=0.04-0.05 eV), implying the decrease in the concentration of charge carriers. Phase compositions in the LNFCx (25≤x≤75) are more complicated. A change from semiconducting to metallic-like conductivity behavior was observed in LNFC25 at about 550 °C. The conductivity of LNFCx (25≤x≤75) could be explained in terms of a modified simple mixture model.  相似文献

A new complete solid solution of NASICON-type compounds between LiZr2(PO4)3 and La1/3Zr2(PO4)3 was evidenced with the general formula Li1−xLax/3Zr2(PO4)3 (0?x?1). These phases were synthesized by a complex polymerizable method and structurally characterized from Rietveld treatment of their X-ray and neutron powder diffraction data. This solid solution results from the substitution mechanism Li+→1/3La3++2/3□ leading to an increase of the vacancies number correlated to an increase of the La content. According to this substitution mechanism, the general formula can then be written Li1−xLax/32x/3Zr2(PO4)3 (0?x?1) in order to underline the correlation between the La content and the vacancies rate. For all the compounds, the structure is clearly related to that of the NASICON family with three crystallographic domains evidenced. For 0?x?0.5, all the members adopt at high temperature the typical NASICON-type structure (s.g. Rc), while at lower temperature, their structure distorts to a triclinic form (s.g. C 1¯), as observed for LiZr2(PO4)3 prepared above 1100 °C. Moreover, in this domain, the reversible transition is clearly soft and the transition temperature strongly depends of the x value. For 0.6?x?0.9, the compounds crystallize in a rhombohedral cell (s.g. R3¯), while for x=1, the phase La1/3Zr2(PO4)3 is obtained (s.g. P3¯, Z=6, a=8.7378(2) Å, c=23.2156(7) Å).This paper is devoted to the structure analysis of the series Li1−xLax/3Zr2(PO4)3 (0?x?1), from X-ray and neutron powder thermo diffraction and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) studies.  相似文献

Oxides in the system PrCo1−xMgxO3 (x=0.0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20, 0.25) were synthesized by citrate technique and characterized by powder X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope. All compounds have a cubic perovskite structure (space group ). The maximum ratio of doped Mg in the system PrCo1−xMgxO3 is x=0.2. Further doping leads to the segregation of Pr6O11 in PrCo1−xMgxO3. The substitution of Mg for Co improves the performance of PrCoO3 as compared to the electrical conductivity measured by a four-probe electrical conductivity analyzer in the temperature range from 298 to 1073 K. The substitution of Mg for Co on the B site may be compensated by the formations of Co4+ and oxygen vacancies. The electrical conductivity of PrCo1−xMgxO3 oxides increases with increasing x in the range of 0.0-0.2. The increase in conductivity becomes considerable at the temperatures ?673 K especially for x?0.1; it reaches a maximum at x=0.2 and 1073 K. From x>0.2 the conductivity of PrCo1−xMgxO3 starts getting lower. This is probably a result of the segregation of Pr6O11 in PrCo1−xMgxO3 , which blocks oxygen transport, and association of oxygen vacancies. A change in activation energy for all PrCo1−xMgxO3 compounds (x=0-0.25) was observed, with a higher activation energy above 573 K and a lower activation energy below 573 K. The reasons for such a change are probably due to the change of dominant charge carriers from Co4+ to Vö in PrCo1−xMgxO3 oxides and a phase transition mainly starting at 573 K.  相似文献

Phase transitions in the elpasolite-type K3AlF6 complex fluoride were investigated using differential scanning calorimetry, electron diffraction and X-ray powder diffraction. Three phase transitions were identified with critical temperatures , and . The α-K3AlF6 phase is stable below T1 and crystallizes in a monoclinic unit cell with a=18.8588(2)Å, b=34.0278(2)Å, c=18.9231(1)Å, β=90.453(1)° (a=2accc, b=4bc, c=ac+2cc; ac, bc, cc—the basic lattice vectors of the face-centered cubic elpasolite structure) and space group I2/a or Ia. The intermediate β phase exists only in very narrow temperature interval between T1 and T2. The γ polymorph is stable in the T2<T<T3 temperature range and has an orthorhombic unit cell with a=36.1229(6)Å, b=17.1114(3)Å, c=12.0502(3)Å (a=3ac−3cc, b=2bc, c=ac+cc) at 250 °C and space group Fddd. Above T3 the cubic δ polymorph forms with ac=8.5786(4)Å at 400 °C and space group . The similarity between the K3AlF6 and K3MoO3F3 compounds is discussed.  相似文献

The solid solutions of ScBRh3-ScRh3 and CeBRh3-CeRh3 are synthesized by the arc melting method, where RBRh3 and RRh3 (R=rare earth element) have perovskite and AuCu3 type structures, respectively. The binding energy of Sc 2p3/2 for ScBxRh3 increases with the boron concentration. The Knight shift of 45Sc observed by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy decreases with increase of boron concentration. The decrement of the Knight shift corresponds the Sc 4s electron density at the Fermi level. The intensity ratio of f2f1f0 of Ce 3d XPS spectrum changes with boron concentration of CeBxRh3. It is concluded that in both cases of ScBxRh3 and CeBxRh3 the charge on the atoms on A-site changes with the concentration of the atoms on B-site, where the atoms are not directly bound.  相似文献

ABO3 amorphous materials, such as BaTiO3 (BT), SrTiO3 (ST), PbTiO3 (PT), and BaxSr1−xTiO3 (BST) have recently attracted a good deal of attention due to their ferroelectric and electro-optical properties. Intense photoluminescence at room temperature was observed in amorphous titanate doped with chromium (BaxSr1−xTi1−yCryO3) prepared by the polymeric precursor method. Results indicated that substantial luminescence at room temperature was achieved with the addition of small Cr contents to amorphous BaxSr1−xTi1−yCryO3. Further addition of Cr or crystallization were deleterious to the intensity of the luminescent peak obtained for excitation using λ=488.0 nm.  相似文献

The ferroelectric phase transition in the family LaxBi4?xTi3O12 was investigated by X-ray diffractometry and differential scanning calorimetry. The crystal symmetry is orthorhombic in the range of 1 > x ≥ 0 and tetragonal in x ? 1. It was found that the shift of the phase-transition temperature is closely related to crystallographic symmetry and lattice distortion. (1) As the value of x increases, the ratio of lattice parameters, ab, decreases toward 1. (2) In the range of 1 > x ≥ 0, the lattice distortion increases with increasing x; just before x exceeds about 1, the distortion reaches a maximum. (3) As x exceeds about 1, the distortion decreases distinctively. (4) In the orthorhombic region, the phase-transition temperature decreases with increasing x. (5) In the tetragonal region, the transition does not occur. (6) The relation of transition temperature Tc to x is represented by a nonlinear function.  相似文献

Crystal structures of solid solutions of BiMn1−xScxO3 with x=0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, and 0.7 were studied with synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction. The strong Jahn-Teller distortion, observed in BiMnO3 at 300 K and associated with orbital order, disappeared already in BiMn0.95Sc0.05O3. The orbital-ordered phase did not appear in BiMn0.95Sc0.05O3 down to 90 K. Almost the same octahedral distortions were observed in BiMn1−xScxO3 with 0.05?x?0.7 at room temperature and in BiMnO3 at 550 K above the orbital ordering temperature TOO=473 K. These results allowed us to conclude that the remaining octahedral distortions observed in BiMnO3 above TOO are the structural feature originated from the highly distorted monoclinic structure.  相似文献

Subsolidus phase equilibria and crystal chemistry were studied for the La2O3-MgO-TiO2 system and for the ternary sections LaMg1/2Ti1/2O3-CaTiO3-La2O3 and LaMg1/2Ti1/2O3-CaTiO3-La0.833Mg0.25Ti0.75O3 in the quaternary La2O3-CaO-MgO-TiO2 system. Dielectric properties (relative permittivity and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency, τf) were measured at 5-10 GHz and mapped onto the phase equilibria relations to reveal the compositions of temperature-stable (τf=0) compounds and mixtures. Phase equilibria relations were obtained by X-ray powder diffraction analysis of approximately 80 specimens prepared by solid-state reactions in air at ∼1450°C. Six ternary phases were found to form in the La2O3-MgO-TiO2 system, including the three previously reported compounds LaMg1/2Ti1/2O3, La5Mg0.5Ti3.5O15, and “La6MgTi4O18”; and the new phases La10MgTi9O34, La9Mg0.5Ti8.5O31, and a perovskite-type solid solution (1−x)LaMg1/2Ti1/2O3-xLa2/3TiO3 (0?x?0.5). The phase previously reported as “La6MgTi4O18” was found to form off-composition, apparently as a point compound, at La6Mg0.913Ti4.04O18. Indexed experimental X-ray powder diffraction patterns are given for LaMg1/2Ti1/2O3, La5Mg0.5Ti3.5O15, La6Mg0.913Ti4.04O18, La10MgTi9O34, and La9Mg0.5Ti8.5O31. LaMg1/2Ti1/2O3 exhibits a slightly distorted perovskite structure with ordered B-cations (P21/n; a=5.5608(2) Å, b=5.5749(3) Å, c=7.8610(5) Å, β=90.034(4)°). La5Mg0.5Ti3.5O15 (Pm1; a=5.5639(1), c=10.9928(5) Å) and La6Mg0.913Ti4.04O18 (R3m; a=5.5665(1), c=39.7354(9) Å) are n=5 and n=6 members, respectively, of the (111) perovskite-slab series AnBn−1O3n. The new phases La10MgTi9O34 (a=5.5411(2), b=31.3039(9), c=3.9167(1) Å) and La9Mg0.5Ti8.5O31 (a=5.5431(2), b=57.055(1), c=3.9123(1) Å) are n=5 and n=4.5 members, respectively, of the (110) perovskite-slab series AnBnO3n+2, which exhibit orthorhombic subcells; electron diffraction revealed monoclinic superlattices with doubled c-parameters for both compounds. Extensive perovskite-type solid solutions form in the ternary sections LaMg1/2Ti1/2O3-CaTiO3-La2O3 and LaMg1/2Ti1/2O3-CaTiO3-La0.833Mg0.25Ti0.75O3. The La2O3-MgO-TiO2 system contains two regions of temperature-stable (τf=0) compositions. The quaternary La2O3-CaO-MgO-TiO2 system contains an extensive single-phase perovskite-type volume through which passes a surface of temperature-stable compositions with permittivities projected to be in the 40-50 range. Traces of this surface occur as lines of τf=0 perovskite-type phases in the ternary sections LaMg1/2Ti1/2O3-CaTiO3-La2O3 and LaMg1/2Ti1/2O3-CaTiO3-La0.833Mg0.25Ti0.75O3.  相似文献

Subsolidus phase relationships in the 2(ZnTe)x(CuInTe2)1−x system were investigated by TEM experiments combined with EDX analysis. The samples were prepared by the solid-state reaction of the elements during long annealing times, followed by either quenching in ice-cold water, or by controlled cooling at different rates. Using the chemical compositions of single and coexisting phases at various temperatures, the boundaries of the two-phase region have been determined. At room temperature, the two-phase region extends from x=0.10 to 0.31. For x<0.10 only mixed crystals with tetragonal structure exist. Between x=0.31 and 1 alloys with the cubic structure are stable.The morphology of the tetragonal domains and their orientation relationship to the cubic matrix were determined by SAD, TEM and HRTEM experiments. The tetragonal phase embedded within the cubic matrix has a flat ellipsoidal shape, whose short axis coincides with the tetragonal c-axis. The three topotaxial orientation relationships between the tetragonal domains and the surrounding cubic matrix were found to be: [001]tetr.∥[100]cub., [001]tetr.∥[010]cub. and [001]tetr.∥[001]cub.. There is an indication that the nucleation starts from small regions displaying cation ordering according to the CuPt-type structure. Reaching the two-phase equilibrium, the tetragonal domains as well as the surrounding cubic phase are free of this cation ordering.  相似文献
