本文就冷胀孔周残余应力分布的测量技术和干涉螺接孔周干涉应力分布的测量技术进行了实验研究。沿着径向将试件切割,以释放欲测的应力,同时用干涉云纹技术测量由于释放应力而引起的附加应变场。文中还就残余应力在循环载荷作用下的松弛问题进行了实验研究。提供了典型的实验结果,讨论了引起实验误差的主要原因。  相似文献

提出了一种数值模拟和实验杂交的实验方法,测量了钢管内表面的残余应力。采用非线性有限元法模拟了冷拔钢管的成型过程,得到了钢管脱模以后的残余应力,通过释放切口处单元的刚度模拟了含有残余应力钢管的切割过程,研究了切割方法对残余应力的影响,数值计算和实验结果表明切割方法对二次残余应力有很大影响。采用X射线测量仪测量了钢管内表面的残余应力。研究结果表明,计算结果基本符合实验结果,误差可以被工程接受。  相似文献

本文应用弹塑性理论研究了被测试样的屈服强度、应力场对钻孔法测量残余应力过程中钻孔附加应变的影响,使用简化的理论模型推导了低速旋转钻头钻孔产生附加应变的一般表达式.结果表明钻孔引入的附加应变与被测试样的原始残余应力状态有关,随应力水平增加而增大,在压应力减小到某一临界值σ时,钻孔附加应变为零。在 Ly12铝合金上的实验测量结果与理论结果一致。  相似文献

应变片钻孔法是工程中应用最广的残余应力测量方法之一,由于应变片只能得到其长度范围内的平均应变,测量误差比较大,本文提出用云纹干涉法测量的位移信息代替应变片测量的应变信息来确定残余应力,用有限元建立位移与残余应力之间的关系,基于以上理论,开发了一种可以进行现场残余应力测量的便携式云纹干涉钻孔系统,并用该仪器进行了铝合金激光焊接接头的残余应力测量,得到了焊缝中心残余应力值。  相似文献

为探讨大型耐压柱壳结构对接环焊缝焊接残余应力消除方法,根据耐压柱壳结构环焊缝焊接工艺,设计并制作了大型耐压柱壳结构对接环焊缝模拟焊接模型,并采用沿焊缝条状布药,分别进行了单、双面布药爆炸处理消除大型耐压柱壳结构对接环焊缝焊接残余应力模型实验。结果表明:大型耐压柱壳结构对接环焊缝存在较大的焊接残余应力;单、双面爆炸处理均能有效调整、消除焊接残余应力,残余应力分布明显均匀化;焊后残余应力越大,爆炸处理效果越明显,当焊接残余应力大于0.5s时,单面爆炸处理后残余应力m下降幅度在40%以上,双面爆炸处理后残余应力m下降幅度在60%以上;采用沿焊缝条状布药,爆炸处理能有效消除沿焊缝的纵向残余应力;双面爆炸处理效果优于单面爆炸处理效果。  相似文献

基于大型炉体焊接残余应力测试的盲孔法研究   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
为提高炉体焊接残余应力测试精度,对传统的盲孔法进行改进,即在测点打孔后多次扩孔并增加孔深;通过对SM400ZL钢焊接残余应力测试时的应变释放系数A,B进行实验标定,得出多组应变释放系数值,计算可得残余应力的估算值,并对不同状况下的残余应力值进行比较.通过大拉力标定试验得出SM400ZL钢盲孔的孔边塑性变形对测量精度的影响和塑性修正公式.结果表明,改进的盲孔法能够更准确地测得焊接残余应力值,测量结果经塑性修正,最大误差减小到2%以下.测试方法和结果可直接在相关的工程实际中应用.  相似文献

针对管道试件规格不同所要求的焊接工艺不一致问题,讨论P91钢中厚壁管对接接头所要求的双人对称焊形式下的焊接残余应力分布规律.基于ANSYS分析软件,以双移动高斯热源结合单元生死技术,利用顺序耦合方法得到P91钢中厚壁管焊接残余应力.讨论热处理工艺对于P91钢中厚壁管焊接残余应力的影响.结果表明,由于焊接工艺在环向位置上的结构反对称性使得焊接残余应力在环向上呈反对称分布;即便经过较高温度的预热处理,没有焊后热处理时最大等效应力仍超过屈服极限;进行焊后整体热处理的P91钢中厚壁管焊接残余应力得到了有效的改善,平均应力数值下降了60%~70%.  相似文献

This paper presents a modified hole-drilling technique for measuring residual stresses in sheet and thin-plate materials. The primary advantage of the modification is that it eliminates the necessity for calibration of each experimental hole-gage assembly. The relaxation coefficients are calculated from theory, and the strain components which are extraneous to the true relaxation strains are determined and separated from the measured relaxation strains. Experiments were conducted on 0.050-in. (1.27-mm) and 0.125-in. (3.175-mm)-thickness aluminum-alloy specimens. Sources of extraneous strain components are analyzed and values for these strain components resulting from machining residual stresses and localized plastic yielding are determined. Finally, the recommended range of the nondimensional ratio of hole diameter to distance between hole center and strain-gage center is determined by the maximum permissible error in residual-stress estimates. The modified technique appears to be accurate within ±5 percent or better and is, therefore, comparable in precision with the X-ray technique.  相似文献

Applied stresses on a residual stress model have previously been obtained by measuring the residual stresses and the resultant stresses generated by applying a load. The present paper reports that the applied stresses and the residual stresses on the residual stress model can be obtained by measuring two resultant stresses generated by applying loads of two different magnitudes. In the proposed method, the residual stresses need not be obtained from the residual stress model before applying a load. The residual stress model used to test the proposed method is a circular disk with frozen stresses that is subjected to a diametral compressive load at a certain angle. The applied stresses and the residual stresses on a residual stress model were experimentally and precisely obtained by digital photoelasticity using linearly polarized light.  相似文献

An analytical solution is presented to examine the accuracy of the ‘layer-removal’ method for measuring localized residual stresses. In this approach, strips, which may have been cut from a pipe or a plate, have strain-gage rosettes placed on one face and layers removed from the other face. The strain measurements are used to deduce the residual stress in the layers removed. The stress measured is that along the axis of the strip. It may vary rapidly with axial distance, as for example when the strip is taken from a welded part. The present analysis shows that the actual stress distribution may be quite different from that predicted by the computational model normally used in the layer-removal method. It shows that the difference increases as the ratio of the heighth of the strip from which a layer is removed to the half dimensiona of the localized residual-stress zone increases. It is recommended that the layer-removal method can be used for measuring residual stresses for cases in which the ratio ofh/a is less than or equal to unity.  相似文献

Mechanical strain relief techniques for estimating the magnitude of residual stress work by measuring strains or displacements when part of the component is machined away. The underlying assumption is that such strain or displacement changes result from elastic unloading. Unfortunately, in components containing high levels of residual stress, elastic-plastic unloading may well occur, particularly when the residual stresses are highly triaxial. This paper examines the performance of one mechanical strain relief technique particularly suitable for large section components, the deep hole drilling (DHD) technique. The magnitude of error is calculated for different magnitudes of residual stress and can be substantial for residual stress states close to yield. A modification to the technique is described to allow large magnitudes of residual stress to be measured correctly. The new technique is validated using the case of a quenched cylinder where use of the standard DHD technique leads to unacceptable error. The measured residual stresses using the new technique are compared with the results obtained using the neutron diffraction technique and are shown to be in excellent agreement.  相似文献

In this study a new residual stress determination method in two directions simultaneously is presented. This method is based on stresses relaxation in a groove that is machined incrementally. The residual stresses relaxation occurs simultaneously from both the depth and the length of the groove. Thus, measuring the surface strain field generated by the relaxation enables to determine the stress gradient both along the depth and the length of the groove. To measure the surface strain in a direction perpendicular to the groove, a digital speckle pattern interferometer is used. This method is suitable when the residual stress field in the structure varies in the depth as well as along the surface of the part, like for example in a welded structure. The method is tested here on an aluminium plate in which a central band has been shot peened.  相似文献

An exact knowledge of residual stresses that exist within the engineering components is essential to maintain the structural integrity. All mechanical strain relief (MSR) techniques to measure residual stresses rely on removing a section of material that contains residual stresses. Therefore, these techniques are destructive as the integrity of the components is compromised. In slitting method, as a MSR technique, a slot with an increasing depth is introduced to the part incrementally that results in deformations. By measuring these deformations the residual stress component normal to the cut can be determined. Two orthogonal components of residual stresses were measured using the slitting method both experimentally and numerically. Different levels of residual stresses were induced into beam shaped specimens using quenching process at different temperatures. The experimental results were then compared with those numerically predicted. It was shown that while the first component of residual stress was being measured, its effect on the second direction that was normal to the first cut was inevitable. Finally, a new cutting configuration was proposed in which two components of residual stresses were measured simultaneously. The results of the proposed method indicated a good agreement with the conventional slitting.  相似文献

The hole-drilling strain-gage method of measuring residual stresses in elastic materials can be termed semidestructive if holes of very small diameters are used. The method permits the magnitudes and principal directions of residual stresses at the hole location to be determined. This is accomplished by means of an emirpically determined relation between the magnitudes and directions of the principal stresses and the strain relaxation about the hole as the hole is drilled. This relation was obtained for a nondimensional model of the hole-gage assembly in order to make the results independent of hole size. A generalization was postulated to extend the use of this calibrated solution to the measurement of residual stresses in all elastic, isotropic materials.I. The hole-drilling method is one of the most wellknown methods for measuring residual stresses. To identify unknown plane stresses in a specimen, a circular hole is first drilled in the infinite plate under plane stress, then the strains resulting from the hole drilling is measured. The strains may be acquired from interpreting the Moire signature around the hole. In crossed grating Moire interferometry, the horizontal and vertical displacement fields (u and v) can be obtained to determinate two strain fields and one shearing strain field. In this paper, by means of Moire interferometry and three directions grating (grating rosette) developed by the authors, three displacement fields (u, v and s) are obtained to acquire three strain fields. As a practical application, the hole-drilling method is adopted to measure the relief strains for aluminum and fiber reinforced composite. It is a step by step method; in each step a single laminate or equivalent depth is drilled to find some relationships between the drilling depth and the residual strains relieved in the fiber reinforced composite materials.  相似文献
