The complexation between the lanthanide metal ions Ce(III), Gd(III), Nd(III), Tb(III), and Er(III) and gliclazide produced 1 : 1 molar ratio metal: gliclazide (Glz) complexes coordinated in a monodentate fashion via the OH group and having the general formulas [M(Glz)Cl3(H2O)]·xH2O (M = Ce, Gd, Nd and x = 1, 3, 4, respectively) and [M(Glz)(H2O)4]Cl3·yH2O (M = Tb, Er and y = 1, 2, respectively). The structure of the synthesized lanthanide gliclazide complexes was assigned by IR, 1HNMR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Thermal analysis and kinetic and thermodynamic parameters gave evidence for the thermal stability of the Glz complexes. The latter showed a significant antimicrobial effect against some bacteria and fungi.  相似文献

Some new Schiff bases derivates from 2-furaldehyde and phenylenediamines (L1-3) and their complexes with lanthanum (La), samarium (Sm), gadolinium (Gd) and erbium (Er) have been synthesized. These complexes with general formula [Ln(L1-3)2(NO3)2]NO3·nH2O (Ln = La, Sm, Gd, Er) were characterized by elemental analysis, UV-Vis, FT-IR and fluorescence spectroscopy, molar conductivity and thermal analysis. The metallic ions were found to be eight coordinated. The emission spectra of these complexes indicate the typical luminescence characteristics of the Sm(III), La(III), Er(III) and Gd(III) ions.  相似文献

Three new solid lanthanide(III) complexes, [Ln(1-AMUH)3] · (NO3)3 (1-AMUH = 1-amidino-O-methylurea; Ln = Eu(III), Gd(III), or Tb(III)) were synthesised and characterised by elemental analysis, infrared spectra, magnetic moment measurement, and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectra for Gd(III) complex. The formation of lanthanide(III) complexes is confirmed by the spectroscopic studies. The photophysical properties of Gd(III), Eu(III), and Tb(III) complexes in solid state were investigated. The Tb(III) complex exhibits the strongest green emission at 543 nm and the Eu(III) complex shows a red emission at 615 nm while the Gd(III) complex shows a weak emission band at 303 nm. Under excitation with UV light, these complexes exhibited an emission characteristic of central metal ions. The powder EPR spectrum of the Gd(III) complex at 300 K exhibits a single broad band with g = 2.025. The bi-exponential nature of the decay lifetime curve is observed in the Eu(III) and Tb(III) complexes. The results reveal them to have potential as luminescent materials.  相似文献

Summary The solvent extraction behaviour of Gd(III), Tb(III), Dy(III), Ho(III), and Tm(III) has been investigated using 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-benzoyl-pyrazolone-5 (HPMBP or HL) in carbon tetrachloride as the extractant. Depending on the concentration ofHPMBP in the organic phase the chelatesLnL 3 [Ln(III)=Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Tm] and adductsLnL 3 · HL [Ln(III)=Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho] were extracted. The extraction equilibrium constants (K ex3 orK ex4) for the formation ofLnL 3 orLnL 3 · HL and the two-phase stability constants of the chelates or adducts ( 3 x , 4 x ) have been evaluated.

The synthesis of a new ligand (1) containing a single phenanthroline (phen) chromophore and a flexibly connected diethylenetriamine tetracarboxylic acid unit (DTTA) as a lanthanide (Ln) coordination site is reported [1 is 4-[(9-methyl-1,10-phenantrol-2-yl)methyl]-1,4,7-triazaheptane-1,1,7,7-tetraacetic acid]. From 1, an extended series of water-soluble Ln.1 complexes was obtained, where Ln is Eu(III), Tb(III), Gd(III), Sm(III), Dy(III), Pr(III), Ho(III), Yb(III), Nd(III), and Er(III). The stoichiometry for the association was found 1:1, with an association constant K(A) > or = 10(7) s(-1) as determined by employing luminescence spectroscopy. The luminescence and photophysical properties of the series of lanthanide complexes were investigated in both H2O and D2O solutions. High efficiencies for the sensitized emission, phi(se), in air-equilibrated water were observed for the Ln.1 complexes of Eu(III) and Tb(III) in the visible region (phi(se) = 0.24 and 0.15, respectively) and of Sm(III), Dy(III), Pr(III), Ho(III), Yb(III), Nd(III), and Er(III) in the vis and/or near-infrared region [phi(se) = 2.5 x 10(-3), 5 x 10(-4), 3 x 10(-5), 2 x 10(-5), 2 x 10(-4), 4 x 10(-5), and (in D2O) 4 x 10(-5), respectively]. For Eu.1 and Tb.1, luminescence data for water and deuterated water allowed us to estimate that no solvent molecules (q) are bound to the ion centers (q = 0). Luminescence quenching by oxygen was investigated in selected cases.  相似文献

A new series of Fe(III), Cr(III), and La(III) mixed-ligand complexes, resulting from the interaction of 2-aminophenol with 2-hydroxy acetophenone (HL1) as primary ligand and L- histidine (L2) as a secondary ligand, has been investigated using various physicochemical studies such as elemental analyses, molar conductivity, magnetic moment, infrared, UV/Vis, 1H NMR, and mass spectroscopic techniques. The microanalytical results indicate that the mixed ligand complexes were designed in a 1:1:1 M ratio. The electronic spectral data indicated that all the synthesized complexes have an octahedral structure. The disc diffusion assay was used to determine the disc inhibition zone (IZ, mm) and minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC, g/mL) of the investigated compounds against the growth of the pathogenic bacterial strains S. aureus, E. faecalis, P. aeruginosa, Klebsiella sp., and E. coli. The MTT test was used to determine the cytotoxicity of these reported compounds against the human hepatocellular liver cancer (HEPG-2) cell lines. The molecular docking study for the compounds against the EGFR tyrosine kinase receptor (PDB code: 1 M17) was conducted to examine the interactions in protein–ligand complexes. Furthermore, the biological activity of the ligand was investigated using quantitative structure–activity relationship studies (QSAR).  相似文献

2,4,5-Trimethoxybenzoates of Tb(III), Dy(III), Ho(III), Er(III), Tm(III), Yb(III), Lu(III) and Y(III) are crystalline, hydrated salts with colours typical for M(III) ions. The carboxylate group is a bidenate, chelating ligand. The complexes of Tb(III), Dy(III) and Ho(III) are dihydrates while those of Er(III), Tm(III), Yb(III), Lu(III) and Y(III) are trihydrates. These compounds are characterized by low symmetry. On heating in air to 1273 K, the 2,4,5-trimethoxybenzoates of heavy lanthanides(III) and yttrium(III) decompose in two steps. At first they dehydrate to form anhydrous salts which next are decomposed to the oxides of the respective metals. The values of the enthalpy of dehydration process were determined. The solubility in water at 293 K for all heavy lanthanides(III) and yttrium(III) are in the orders of 10-3-10-4 mol dm-3. The magnetic moments of the complexes were determined in the temperature range 77-300 K.  相似文献

A series of lanthanide(III) pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate complexes [Ln(Pyrrol-Dtc)3(Phen)] {Pyrrol-Dtc = pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate; Phen = 1,10-phenanthroline; Ln = La(III), Ce(III), Pr(III), Nd(III), Sm(III), Gd(III), Tb(III), Dy(III), Er(III)} have been synthesized and structurally characterized. The molecular structures of [La(Pyrrol-Dtc)3(Phen)], [Pr(Pyrrol-Dtc)3(Phen)], [Sm(Pyrrol-Dtc)3(Phen)], and [Dy(Pyrrol-Dtc)3(Phen)] have been confirmed using single crystal XRD studies. The results reveal that in these complexes, the central Ln(III) ion is coordinated to three Pyrrol-Dtc and one Phen and possesses a distorted dodecahedron geometry. Catalytic activity of these complexes in trimethylsilylcyanation reaction has been studied.  相似文献

The thermal decomposition of lanthanide complexes, with a general formula: [LnL(NO3)2](NO3), where Ln = La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, and Er; and L = bis-(salicyladehyde)-1,3-propylenediimine Schiff base ligand, was studied by thermogravimetric (TG) and derivative thermogravimetric (DTG) techniques. The TG and DTG data indicated that all complexes are thermostable up to 398 K. The thermal decomposition of all Ln(III) complexes was a two-stage process and the final residues were Ln2O3 (Ln = La, Nd, Sm, Gd, Dy, Er), Tb4O7, and Pr6 O11. The activation energies of thermal decomposition of the complexes were calculated from analysis of the TG-DTG curves using the Kissinger, Friedman, and Flynn-Well-Ozawa methods.  相似文献

The preparation, for the first time, of the deprotonated complexes of oxamic acid with La(III), Gd(III), Tb(III), Er(III), Tm(III) and Lu(III) is reported. Analytical results, conductometric measurements, magnetic moments and spectral data (IR and diffuse reflectance spectra) are discussed in terms of possible structural types. The oxamate anion acts as a N, O bidentate non-bridging ligand.  相似文献

Binuclear complexes of Sm(III), Eu(III), Gd(III), Tb(III), and Dy(III) nitrates with 4,4,10,10-tetramethyl-1,3,7,9-tetraazospiro[5.5]undecane-2,8-dione (C11H20N4O2, SC)—[Sm(NO3)3(SC)(H2O)]2(I), [Eu(NO3)3(SC)(H2O)]2 (II), [Gd(NO3)2(SC)(H2O)3)]2(NO3)2 (III), [Tb(NO3)3(SC)(H2O)]2 (IV), [Dy(NO3)3(SC)(H2O)]2 (V), are synthesized, and their X-ray diffraction analyses are carried out. The crystals of complexes I–V are monoclinic: space group P21/n for III and P21/c for I, II, IV, and V. In centrosymmetric coordination complexes II, III, IV, and V, the Ln atoms are coordinated by two O(1) and O(2) atoms of two molecules of the SC ligands bound by a symmetry procedure (1 ? x, ?y, 1 ? z), three bidentate nitrate anions, and a water molecule. The coordination numbers of the metal atoms are equal to 9, and the coordination polyhedra are considerably distorted three-capped trigonal prisms, whose bases include the O(1), O(2), O(12) and O(3), O(7), O(9) atoms. The dihedral angle between the bases of the prism is 18°, and that between the mean planes of the side faces is 55°–71° for I, 17° and 55°–71° for II, 16° and 55°–70° for IV, and 16° and 55°–70° for V. The Sm...Sm distance in complex I is 9.44 Å, Eu...Eu in II is 9.42 Å, Tb...Tb in IV is 9.36Å, and Dy...Dy in V is 9.36Å. The gadolinium atom in complex III is coordinated by two oxygen atoms of two ligand molecules bound by a symmetry procedure (?x, ?y + 1, ?z + 1), two bidentate nitrate anions, and three water molecules. One of the nitro groups in compound III is localized in the external coordination sphere of the metal. The coordination number of gadolinium is 9, and the coordination polyhedron is a significantly distorted three-capped trigonal prism, whose base includes the O(1), O(2), O(7) and O(4), O(5), O(9) atoms. The dihedral angle between the bases of the prism is 22.8°, and that between the mean planes of the side faces is 53°–72°. The Gd...Gd distance in complex III is 9.17 Å.  相似文献

The tripodal ligand tris[4-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-3-aza-3-buten]amine (LH(3)) is capable of coordinating to two different lanthanide ions to give complexes formulated as [LLnLn'(NO(3))(3)].x H(2)O. The stepwise synthetic procedure consists of introducing first a Ln(III) ion in the inner N(4)O(3) coordination site. The isolated neutral complex LLn is then allowed to react with a second and different Ln' ion that occupies the outer O(6) site, thus yielding a [LLnLn'(NO(3))(3)].x H(2)O complex. A FAB(+) study has confirmed the existence of (Ln, Ln') entities as genuine, when the Ln' ion in the outer site has a larger ionic radius than the Ln ion in the inner site. The qualitative magnetic study of the (Gd, Ln) and (Ln, Gd) complexes, based on the comparison of the magnetic properties of (Gd, Ln) (or (Ln, Gd)) pairs and (Y, Ln) (or (Ln, La)) pairs, is very informative. Indeed, these former complexes are governed by the thermal population of the Ln(III) Stark levels and the Ln-Gd interaction, while the latter are influenced by the thermal population of the Ln(III) Stark levels. We have been able to show that a ferromagnetic interaction exists at low temperature in the (Gd, Nd), (Gd, Ce), and (Yb, Gd) complexes. In contrast, an antiferromagnetic interaction occurs in the (Dy, Gd) and (Er, Gd) complexes. Although we cannot give a quantitative value to these interactions, we can affirm that their magnitudes are weak since they are only perceptible at very low temperature.  相似文献

The Ln2(H2O)4(L)3·2H2O and Ln2(phen)2(L)3·2H2O complexes [Ln = Eu(III), Sm(III), or Dy(III); H2L = C6F4(COOH)2, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline] have been prepared. Structures of the prepared compounds have been confirmed by X-ray diffraction and IR spectroscopy studies. The complexes of Eu(III) have exhibited red photoluminescence stronger than that of the complexes of Sm(III) and Dy(III).  相似文献

Extraction of Pr(III), Ho(III) and Er(III) has been studied in the pH range of 1–10 with N-benzoyl-N-phenylhydroxylamine (BPHA) in benzene. The separation was found to be quantitative in borate media from pH 7 to 10, at an ionic strength of 0.1M (H+, BO3 3–). The stoichiometric composition of the complexes under the optimal conditions of shaking time, pH and reagent concentration was formulated using slope analysis and found to be M(BPHA)3, where M=Pr(III), Ho(III) and Er(III). The effect of various masking agents shows that citrate, ascorbate, EDTA, oxalate, fluoride and phosphate form stable complexes with these rare earths as compared to BPHA. The decontamination factors for different cations with respect to these rare earths under the optimum conditions have been evaluated.  相似文献

Neutral complexes of composition [LnL3Phen], where Ln = Tm, Dy, and Gd, were synthesized by the reaction of LnCl3 with heterocyclic diketone 1,3-bis(1,3-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-1,3-propanedione (HL, 1) and 1,10-phenanthroline in an aqueous alcohol solution in the presence of NaOH. The composition of the complexes was proved by elemental analysis. Their optical and luminescence properties were studied.  相似文献

Complex formation between trivalent La, Pr, Nd, Gd, Sm, Tb, Dy, Ho and 2-acetylpyridinethiosemicarbazone has been investigated by potentiometric measurements at 25°C and in 0.02 M, 0.05 M, 0.1 M and 0.2 M (NaClO4) ionic strengths. The stability constants of the complexes formed have been determined and correlated to the size and ionic potentials of the metal ions.  相似文献

The luminescence method, mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis are used to reveal that under optimal conditions (pH 5–8) Ln3+ ions (Ln = Pr, Sm, Eu, Nd, and Yb) with 1-(2-hydroxy-4-methylphenyl)-3-(5-methyl-1-phenyl-1 H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)propane-1,3-dione form complexes with the mole ratio Ln: ligand = 2: 3. According to the IR spectral data, Ln3+ ions coordinate three oxygen atoms of two carbonyl groups and one hydroxyl group. In the IR spectra of the complexes, an intense band at 628.7 cm?1 is assigned to the Ln-O bond vibrations. The X-ray diffraction patterns of the complexes contain no lines corresponding to the ligand. The luminescence intensity of the complexes in the visible spectral range changes in the series Eu(III) > Sm(III) > Pr(III), whereas in the IR region the order is Yb(III) > Nd(III). In all cases, luminescence of the solid complexes is considerably more intense than that of their solutions.  相似文献

Tritopic pyridinebis(hydrazone)-based ligands typically produce square M(9) [3 × 3] grid complexes with first-row transition-metal ions (e.g., M = Mn, Fe, Co, Cu, Zn), but with larger lanthanide ions, such coordination motifs are not produced, and instead linear trinuclear complexes appear to be a preferred option. The reaction of 2pomp [derived from pyridine-2,6-bis(hydrazone) and 2-acetylpyridine] with La(III), Gd(III), and Dy(III) salts produces helical linear trinuclear [Ln(3)(2pomp)(2)]-based complexes, where each metal ion occupies one of the three tridentate ligand pockets. Two ligands encompass the three metal ions, and internal connections between metal ions occur through μ-O(hydrazone) bridges. Coligands include benzoate, nitrate, and N,N-dimethylformamide. The linear Dy(III)(3) complex exhibits single-molecule magnet behavior, demonstrated through alternating-current susceptibility measurements. Slow thermal magnetic relaxation was detected in an external field of 1800 Oe, where quantum-tunneling effects were suppressed (U(eff) = 14 K).  相似文献
