We design an isotropic electric-field sensing system using an optical probe. The optical probe consists of three electric-field sensors based on a Mach-Zehnder interferometer with the structure of segmented electrodes, which are perpendicular to each other. The measured results show that the ±5 dB baseband can reach 3 GHz, the linear dynamics range is 70dB, and the minimum detectable electric field is lower than 90 dBμ V/m (the spectrum analyser resolution is 100 Hz). The directional characteristics are almost isotropic within deviations of ±1.5 dB. Therefore this sensing system can be used in the electromagnetic compatibility measurements.  相似文献

Retroreflectors on satellites are used as targets for laser ranging and laser long-path absorption measurements of atmospheric trace species. To compensate for the velocity aberration, slight tuning of the design is necessary. The curvatures of mirrors, the angles between mirrors, and the direction of the retroreflector on the satellite must be tuned to optimize the optical efficiency of the retroreflector. An enumerative scheme is not applicable when the number of parameters is large. We proposed earlier a technique using a genetic algorithm for the optical design of a space retroreflector.1) In this paper, we have improved the method introducing a hybrid technique that is a combination of a genetic algorithm and simulated annealing.  相似文献

微结构是微机电系统的基本元件,其几何尺寸、运动特性、材料及力学特性直接影响微机电系统的整体性能。提出一种将计算机微视觉、米劳显微干涉、频闪成像和激光多普勒测振等技术充分融合的微结构静态和动态特性的光学测试平台,分别对微谐振器的平面和离面周期运动特性和微机械扭转镜的离面瞬时运动特性进行测试研究。实验结果表明,利用计算机微视觉和频闪成像技术能够实观微结构的平面位移、运动相位及喈振频率等周期运动参量的测试.位移的重复精度为30nm;利用显微干涉和频闪成像技术可实现微结构的离面位移及表面扭曲等周期运动参量的测试.位移的重复精度为3nm;激光多普勒测振技术具有在频域上对微结构瞬态运动进行分析的优点.是时域上周期运动测试的重要补充。  相似文献

以光正交频分复用信号作为光标记,利用两个不同波长的光载波分别经过强度调制,产生了10 Gb/sOOK光载荷和2.5 Gb/sOFDM光标记。测得了光分组信号经光纤传输前后接收载荷的眼图和标记的星座图以及误码率曲线,结果表明:经过40 km光纤传输后,载荷与标记的功率代价分别为1dB和0.5dB。  相似文献

利用具有相反热光特性的氮氧化硅与聚合物材料,采用混合集成波导结构设计了一种低功耗S型可变光衰减器.该衰减器以聚合物为芯层材料,氮氧化硅为包层材料,在弯曲波导上方制作加热电极从而通过热光效应来实现可调谐的衰减功能.理论分析表明,对于1.55μm的工作波长,衰减器实现50dB的衰减仅需要3.6mW的功率.实验结果可实现0~40dB的衰减范围,相应的最大温度变化为70.4℃,器件插入损耗为5.4dB.  相似文献

This paper describes a novel all-fiber optical architecture for electric current or magnetic field sensing which is immune against temperature and vibration perturbations in a hazardous environment. The architecture is structured by employing the fiber-optic wave plates (quarter, half or full) of the patented invention of the senior author. 在理论上分析并用实验研究了采用新型光学棱镜作起偏器、检偏器后与偏振无关的光学隔离器性能的变化。结果表明, 隔离器的反向隔离比在原来的基础上提高了将近一倍, 而正向插入损耗增加得很少。研制的光学隔离器光纤光纤的正向损耗与反向隔离比分别为- 0.82 d B 及- 48.1 d B。  相似文献

We present the design of a 3-dimensional (3-D) noncoherent optical hybrid network. We also report the design of a new family of 3-D codes for fiber optic hybrid networks. We show that the hybrid network allows for shorter bit times and a higher number of users, given a set chip rate, compared to previously conceived networks. These newly designed hybrid single-pulse-per-row (HSPR) codes have very low autocorrelation side-lobes and very small cross-correlation peaks. We compare the performance of our hybrid model using our codes with the Optical Orthogonal Codes (OOCs) and Temporal/Spatial (T/S) codes and show that the new network can support a greater number of users and higher data rates than those using OOCs and T/S codes.  相似文献

Abstract

In this article, light reflection spectrums for different one-dimensional multi-layer structures are obtained. Optical reflectivities for periodic, superperiodic, and quasiperiodic structures have been calculated using the transfer matrix method. PBGs of each structure have been obtained using the optical reflectivity pattern. From a comparison of reflectivity and standard dense wavelength division multiplexing grids, it is demonstrated that narrow and dense band filters can be built from generalized Fibonacci quasiperiodic structures. Reflectivity of these structures contains bands that meet the ITU-T dense wavelength division multiplexing standard. Reflectivity of other multi-layer structures has poor or less potential to be used in dense wavelength division multiplexing systems.  相似文献

A hybrid opto-electronic correlator for detecting defects in optical fibers is proposed. After the light from a He-Ne laser being expanded and filtered it is not collimated but directly passes a Fourier transform lens and illuminates a reference fiber and a test fiber at the same input plane. The Fourier transform spectrum of the two fibers is therefore obtained at the rear focal plane of the lens, where it is sampled via a CCD array connected with a computer through a frame grabber. The computer performs filter, inverse Fourier transform and setting threshold operation on classification. The system is an equivalent of joint transform correlator with a Fourier lens of long focal length. The experiment results for optical fibers having incoordinate defects are presented. The results indicate that the system can be used for fiber defect detection, and has the advantages of high identification, compact configuration, easy adjustment and flexible manipulation.  相似文献

提出一种基于布里渊光时域反射计法的分布式光纤布里渊散射温度传感系统.光源采用窄谱半导体激光器.声光调制器将光源调制成窄脉冲,并由高增益光纤放大器放大,产生高功率光脉冲信号,提高了自发布里渊散射信号的强度.采用双通马赫-曾德干涉仪将布里渊散射从瑞利散射中分离出来,在一段4.25 km长的光纤上进行分布式温度传感的实验研究.双通马赫-曾德干涉仪对瑞利散射进行了很好的抑制,得到了比较纯净的随温度变化的布里渊散射信号.  相似文献

An optical waveguide for a polymer modulator based on organic/inorganic hybrid electro-optic (EO) materials is designed and fabricated by utilizing a strip-loading structure. This hybrid material has a controllable refractive index, high EO coefficient and good poled stability, which are suitable for the EO modulators and switches. The embedded waveguide made of the above EO material can reduce the coupling loss. The light is coupled into the guided-core layer and then undergoes a transition from the buried waveguide into the EO material. Obvious modulation is observed by application of ac voltage to the EO material. The measured Vπ of co-planar waveguide (CPW) is 5 V for the Mach-Zehnder (MZ) modulator in length of 3.5cm.  相似文献

Multitarget detection using a hybrid optical joint transform correlator with power spectrum subtraction is proposed. This architecture is a programmable single spatial light modulator joint transform correlator. It consists of a liquid crystal display panel, an imaging lens, and a liquid crystal light valve to enhance resolution and space-bandwidth production. In this technique, it has two joint images in the input plane. In the second joint image, the reference image is contrast-reversal. With this technique, the second joint power spectrum is subtracted from the first joint power spectrum and the subtracted joint power spectrum is then taken the inverse Fourier transform. This technique is found to yield better correlation output performance than that of the classical joint transform correlator. Computer simulation results and the optical experimental results for input scene of the multitarget are given.The results have verified the correctness of the system design and performance analysis.  相似文献
