In an evidential reasoning context, a group consensus (GC) based approach can model multiple attributive group decision analysis problems with GC requirements. The predefined GC is reached through several rounds of group analysis and discussion (GAD) in the approach. However, the GAD with no guidance may not be the most appropriate way to reach the predefined GC because several rounds of GAD will spend a lot of time of all experts and yet cannot help them to effectively emphasize on the assessments which primarily damage the GC. In this paper, an attribute weight based feedback model is constructed to effectively identify the assessments primarily damaging the GC and accelerate the GC convergence. Considering important attributes with the weights more than or at least equal to the mean of the weights of all attributes, the feedback model constructs identification rules to identify the assessments damaging the GC for the experts to renew. In addition, a suggestion rule is introduced to generate appropriate recommendations for the experts to renew their identified assessments. The identification rules are constructed at three levels including the attribute, alternative and global levels. The feedback model is used to solve an engineering project management software selection problem to demonstrate its detailed implementation process, its validity and applicability, and its advantages compared with the GC based approach.  相似文献

Many multiple attribute decision analysis problems include both quantitative and qualitative attributes with various kinds of uncertainties such as ignorance, fuzziness, interval data, and interval belief degrees. An evidential reasoning (ER) approach developed in the 1990s and in recent years can be used to model these problems. In this paper, the ER approach is extended to group consensus (GC) situations for multiple attributive group decision analysis problems. In order to construct and check the GC, a compatibility measure between two belief structures is developed first. Considering two experts’ utilities, the compatibility between their assessments is naturally constructed using the compatibility measure. Based on the compatibility between two experts’ assessments, the GC at a specific level that may be the attribute level, the alternative level, or the global level, can be constructed and reached after the group analysis and discussion within specified times. Under the condition of GC, we conduct a study on the forming of group assessments for alternatives, the achievement of the aggregated utilities of assessment grades, and the properties and procedure of the extended ER approach. An engineering project management software selection problem is solved by the extended ER approach to demonstrate its detailed implementation process, and its validity and applicability.  相似文献

Wang et al. use an evidential reasoning approach for solving multiple attribute decision analysis (MADA) problems under interval belief degrees [Y.M. Wang, J.B. Yang, D.L. Xu, K.S. Chin, The evidential reasoning approach for multiple attribute decision analysis using interval belief degrees, European Journal of Operational Research 175 (2006) 35–66]. In this note it is shown some nonlinear optimization models in that paper are incorrect. The necessary corrections are proposed.  相似文献

Multiple attribute decision analysis (MADA) problems having both quantitative and qualitative attributes under uncertainty can be modelled and analysed using the evidential reasoning (ER) approach. Several types of uncertainty such as ignorance and fuzziness can be consistently modelled in the ER framework. In this paper, both interval weight assignments and interval belief degrees are considered, which could be incurred in many decision situations such as group decision making. Based on the existing ER algorithm, several pairs of preference programming models are constructed to support global sensitivity analysis based on the interval values and to generate the upper and lower bounds of the combined belief degrees for distributed assessment and also the expected values for ranking of alternatives. A post-optimisation procedure is developed to identify non-dominated solutions, examine the robustness of the partial ranking orders generated, and provide guidance for the elicitation of additional information for generating more desirable assessment results. A car evaluation problem is examined to show the implementation process of the proposed approach.  相似文献

In a very recent note by Gao and Ni [B. Gao, M.F. Ni, A note on article “The evidential reasoning approach for multiple attribute decision analysis using interval belief degrees”, European Journal of Operational Research, in press, doi:10.1016/j.ejor.2007.10.0381], they argued that Yen’s combination rule [J. Yen, Generalizing the Dempster–Shafer theory to fuzzy sets, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics 20 (1990) 559–570], which normalizes the combination of multiple pieces of evidence at the end of the combination process, was incorrect. If this were the case, the nonlinear programming models we proposed in [Y.M. Wang, J.B. Yang, D.L. Xu, K.S. Chin, The evidential reasoning approach for multiple attribute decision analysis using interval belief degrees, European Journal of Operational Research 175 (2006) 35–66] would also be incorrect. In this reply to Gao and Ni, we re-examine their numerical illustrations and reconsider their analysis of Yen’s combination rule. We conclude that Yen’s combination rule is correct and our nonlinear programming models are valid.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the group decision making problems in which all the information provided by the decision-makers is presented as interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy decision matrices where each of the elements is characterized by interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy number (IVIFN), and the information about attribute weights is partially known. First, we use the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy hybrid geometric (IIFHG) operator to aggregate all individual interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy decision matrices provided by the decision-makers into the collective interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy decision matrix, and then we use the score function to calculate the score of each attribute value and construct the score matrix of the collective interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy decision matrix. From the score matrix and the given attribute weight information, we establish an optimization model to determine the weights of attributes, and then we use the obtained attribute weights and the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy weighted geometric (IIFWG) operator to fuse the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy information in the collective interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy decision matrix to get the overall interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy values of alternatives, and then rank the alternatives according to the correlation coefficients between IVIFNs and select the most desirable one(s). Finally, a numerical example is used to illustrate the applicability of the proposed approach.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the multiple attribute decision making (MADM) problems, in which the information about attribute weights is partly known and the attribute values are expressed in linguistic labels. We first define the concepts of linguistic positive ideal point, linguistic negative ideal point, and satisfactory degree of alternative. Based on these concepts, we then establish some linear programming models, through which the decision maker interacts with the analyst. Furthermore, we establish a practical interactive procedure for solving the MADM problems considered in this paper. The interactive process can be realized by giving and revising the satisfactory degrees of alternatives till an optimum satisfactory solution is achieved. Finally, a practical example is given to illustrate the developed procedure.  相似文献

This paper addresses multiple criteria group decision making problems where each group member offers imprecise information on his/her preferences about the criteria. In particular we study the inclusion of this partial information in the decision problem when the individuals’ preferences do not provide a vector of common criteria weights and a compromise preference vector of weights has to be determined as part of the decision process in order to evaluate a finite set of alternatives. We present a method where the compromise is defined by the lexicographical minimization of the maximum disagreement between the value assigned to the alternatives by the group members and the evaluation induced by the compromise weights.  相似文献

The theory of interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets is useful and beneficial for handling uncertainty and imprecision in multiple criteria decision analysis. In addition, the theory allows for convenient quantification of the equivocal nature of human subjective assessments. In this paper, by extending the traditional linear assignment method, we propose a useful method for solving multiple criteria evaluation problems in the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy context. A ranking procedure consisting of score functions, accuracy functions, membership uncertainty indices, and hesitation uncertainty indices is presented to determine a criterion-wise preference of the alternatives. An extended linear assignment model is then constructed using a modified weighted-rank frequency matrix to determine the priority order of various alternatives. The feasibility and applicability of the proposed method are illustrated with a multiple criteria decision-making problem involving the selection of a bridge construction method. Additionally, a comparative analysis with other methods, including the approach with weighted aggregation operators, the closeness coefficient-based method, and the auxiliary nonlinear programming models, has been conducted for solving the investment company selection problem to validate the effectiveness of the extended linear assignment method.  相似文献

We investigated dynamics of group decision making on complex problems when agents can form mental models of others from discussion history. Results indicated that as the agents' memory capacity increases, the group reaches superficial consensus more easily. Surprisingly, however, the shared mental model of the problem develops only within a limited area of the problem space, because incorporating knowledge from others into one's own knowledge quickly creates local agreement on where relevant solutions are, leaving other potentially useful solutions beyond the scope of discussion. The mechanisms stifling group‐level exploration and their implications for decision making research are discussed. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Complexity 16: 49–57, 2011  相似文献

The significant characteristic of the TODIM (an acronym in Portuguese of Interactive and Multiple Attribute Decision Making) method is that it can consider the bounded rationality of the decision makers. However, in the classical TODIM method, the rating of the attributes only can be used in the form of crisp numbers. Because 2‐dimension uncertain linguistic variables can easily express the fuzzy information, in this article, we extend the TODIM method to 2‐dimension uncertain linguistic information. First of all, the definition, characteristics, expectation, comparative method and distance of 2‐dimension uncertain linguistic information are introduced, and the steps of the classical TODIM method for Multiple attribute decision making (MADM) problems are presented. Second, on the basis of the classical TODIM method, the extended TODIM method is proposed to deal with MADM problems in which the attribute values are in the form of 2‐dimension uncertain linguistic variables, and detailed decision steps are given. Its significant characteristic is that it can fully consider the bounded rationality of the decision makers, which is a real action in real decision making. Finally, a numerical example is provided to verify the developed approach and its practicality and effectiveness. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Complexity 21: 20–30, 2016  相似文献
