数字剪切散斑干涉技术在工业无损检测领域有广阔的应用前景,传统的迈克尔逊型数字剪切散斑干涉仪由于结构的限制,视场角很小,这限制了其在工程上的应用。介绍一种新型的大视角剪切散斑干涉系统,通过在成像镜头和CCD传感器之间嵌入4f光学系统来扩大其视场角,并实现镜头的外置。理论分析证明,视场角不再受到迈克尔逊结构的限制,仅仅取决于镜头的焦距和CCD传感器的靶面尺寸。设计并组建了一个大视场角迈克尔逊剪切散斑干涉系统,对比实验表明,在短的工作距离下实现了大视场的全场检测,在1 m的测距下,新系统测量面积可达800 mm600 mm,而传统的系统测量面积只有250 mm200 mm。  相似文献

A major limitation of speckle interferometry techniques including shearography is that the occurrence of rigid body motion produces a decorrelation of speckle patterns which destroys the fringe visibility. This paper demonstrates that digital shearography can tolerate much greater rigid body translation than a speckle size as predicted by the conventional speckle decorrelation theory. Excessive rigid body translation in digital shearography can be compensated by either translating the sensor/camera or digitally shifting one of the speckle patterns.  相似文献

This paper presents a method for evaluating residual stresses. The approach is based on measuring the deformation due to the relief of stress produced by a drilled-hole or a ball indentation, and the deformation is rapidly measured by digital shearography. This method does not require mounting strain gages/transducers. Unlike holography, shearography does not require special vibration isolation. These features make the method practical for evaluation of residual stresses in a production/field environment.  相似文献

Multi-component measurements in shearography and other applications of Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry (ESPI) are typically achieved using multiple optical configurations that are activated sequentially to measure each desired quantity separately. A novel optical setup is introduced here where orthogonal shearography measurements are simultaneously made using a single color-camera imaging multiple monochromatic light sources of different wavelengths. The Red–Green–Blue (RGB) sensors of a conventional Bayer type camera are read separately, thereby providing three independent color signals and independent ESPI phase maps. Orthogonal axis shearography is achieved using a modified shearography interferometer where a dichroic filter is added to provide a second wavelength-dependent measurement. The availability of the two surface slopes gives the opportunity for the data to be summed numerically to give the surface displacement shape. This application is of significant practical interest because the surface displacement measurement can be made under field conditions by taking advantage of the well-known optical stability of shearography measurements. The two simultaneously measured surface slopes also offer the possibility to mathematically compensate for non-uniformity and non-orthogonality in the image shear caused by mirror non-flatness and/or mirror misalignments.  相似文献

This paper first describes the basic principles of digital time-integrated shearography in which speckle patterns of laser-illuminated object surfaces subjected to single excitation frequency are recorded over a finite time period. With image subtraction, the resulting phase-change manifests as a visible fringe pattern similar to that in conventional time-average shearography, except that dark areas denote nodal points. When this method is used for evaluating the soundness of joining, the test structure must be excited at or near resonant frequency; this requirement inhibits practical usage for field tests. To alleviate this concern, a new technique that uses a multiple-frequency sweep in digital shearography is proposed. Depending on whether or not phase-shifting by π radians is used during testing, improperly joined surfaces manifest as either a white patch (when phase-shifting is not used) or a dark patch (when phase-shifting is used) on the synthesized intensity map. This map also serves as a diagnostic map for rapid flaw detection. Thus, the user not only can conduct tests with little training provided, but also can very quickly interpret the test results from this map and report on defective areas in the joints. When need arises, the information recorded during testing also enables quantitative analysis of vibration displacements at any point on the test structure.  相似文献

作为Portevin-Le Chatelier(PLC)带的重要特征之一,其离面变形仍缺乏实验研究.本文提出使用数字剪切散斑干涉法研究GB6061铝合金中PLC带的离面变形.通过图像相减得到的条纹图,实时观察了PLC带的几何形貌和传播过程,并获得了PLC带离面位移分布.在1/15 s内,PLC带的最大离面位移为245 nm,位置偏向于PLC带传播的前沿.在条纹图中,PLC带传播前沿的亮条纹始终较窄.此外,实验还观察到PLC带位置变更和倾角转向的演化过程.实验表明,数字剪切散斑干涉法具有高灵敏度和防震性,是研究PLC带离面变形简便有效的方法.  相似文献

Real-time laser speckle shearography coupled with vibration stressing is shown to be an effective means of vibration analysis and non-destructive testing. The shearograms are modulated by a system of live fringes. These fringes are shown to be described by the zeroth-order Bessel function of the first kind and their visibility decreases with increasing fringe order. In vibration analysis, the instantaneous fringe pattern depicts the out-of-plane surface displacement gradient of the object surface at various resonance modes. In non-destructive testing, the flaw depth in a component can be determined without having to determine fringe orders. There is good agreement between the results obtained using the method and those from theory and time-average holography. A major advantage of real-time shearography is its facility for continuous assessment of a vibrating object without the need for secondary shearogram reconstruction.  相似文献

In order to investigate deterioration processes on the famous 2000-yr-old Chinese Terracotta warriors, deformation measurements were performed with TV-holography. The aim of the investigations is to estimate the suitability of several conservation agents and procedures, which are developed to preserve the extremely endangered paint layers of the figures. Due to the occurrence of small-scale deformation areas the field of view had to be reduced. A microscopic system was constructed and typical object deformations due to shrinkage and swelling are presented. To investigate the individual layers of the multilayered objects a short-coherent superluminescence diode instead of a laser diode is used in a further modification. By changing the path length of one of the interfering beams it is possible to select a region limited in depth where deformations are measured even if it is located below the surface. Results on an artificial test object and on original terracotta fragments demonstrate the capabilities of this new short-coherence TV-holography system.  相似文献

Digital holography (DH) and digital shearography (DS) both play an important role in non-destructive evaluation. In this paper, a novel method based on digital holographic interferometry (DHI) and complex phasor (CP) is proposed to determine displacement derivative. An algorithm is employed to filter the imaginary and real parts of complex values without the need of direct phase manipulation. Two-dimensional short time Fourier transform (STFT) is employed subsequently to process wrapped phase maps. An experiment is conducted to demonstrate the validity of the proposed method.  相似文献

A method of determining the second-order derivatives of displacement using digital shearing speckle interferometry is presented in this paper. A phase-shifting technique is incorporated and demonstrated to yield good quality fringe patterns that depict either the second-order derivative separately or a combination of first- and second-order derivatives. The optical set-up of this method is similar to that of conventional phase-shifting shearography, thus enjoying a simple and practical configuration. Qualitative comparison shows acceptable agreement of the generated fringe patterns with theoretical results.  相似文献

Curvature measurement using a three-aperture digital shearography (DS) system is reported in this paper. The outer apertures are covered with wedge plates for introducing shear. Four images by sequentially blocking the outer apertures are used for quantitative measurement. Fourier transform technique is used to determine two sheared slope phase maps from two images at a time representing initial and deformed states. Subtraction of these two-phase maps yields the curvature phase map. Experimental results are presented for a circular diaphragm clamped along the edges and loaded at the center.  相似文献

Shearing speckle pattern interferometry is a full-field speckle interferometric technique used to determine surface displacement derivatives. In this paper, a new measurement system of real-time heterodyne shearography interferometry is presented. This system combined with heterodyne measurement, shearography interferometry and time domain signal processing technology can dynamically detect the out-of-plane displacement gradient. The principles and system arrangement are described. Using the Jones matrix, the mathematical expression of light intensity distribution passing through this system is deduced. A preliminary experiment was performed to demonstrate the performance of this new device, and simulations were conducted using the finite element method. Comparison of results shows that quantitative measurement of the displacement derivative has been achieved.  相似文献

The quality of bonding is often a concern in rubber-to-metal bonded parts with regard to the integrity and stability of the structure. In this study, shearography has been used to detect the out-of-plane deformation of the defects caused by thermal and vacuum stresses. A sample of the vulcanized styrene-butadiene rubber bonded to steel with known artificial voids was prepared and during bonding process a region was glued with thick adhesives. The rubber surface of the sample was inspected in thermal radiation and vacuum modes respectively with a self-designed shearography device. Meanwhile, a numerical simulation was conducted to predict the out-of-plane deformation of the rubber surface in these two stress modes. Results from the numerical simulation and the experiments indicated that the debonding defects could be inspected in both loading modes. In the thermal radiation mode the region with thick adhesives could be identified successfully. This study provides a guideline for quality control of rubber-to-metal structures using an optical method.  相似文献

Applications for optical metrology usually use lasers as light sources, because of the excellent spatial and temporal coherence of the emitted light. By comparison, the demands of speckle shearography concerning the coherence of the light source are low. This enables certain white-light sources to be an option.

In this paper, the feasibility of low coherence shearography is shown. For this purpose an experimental setup is designed, composed of a mercury arc lamp, a spatial filter and a Michelson interferometer. With respect to speckle shearography, important characteristics of the light source are described and the mercury arc lamp is shown to be suitable. Finally, some experimental investigations of an object under load are presented.  相似文献

In this paper, the capabilities of shearography for detecting hole and crack type defects in polymeric and metallic materials using thermal loading were investigated. In order to improve the ability of the identifying defect, the fringe multiplication technique was applied to some suspectable shearography fringe patterns. Based on the test results empirical rules for inspection plates of different material with specific thicknesses were established. For aluminium plates with thicknesses of 3 mm, minimum diameter of a surface breaking hole which is detectable is approximately equal to 2.5–3.0 times the depth of the defect, and for polymer plates with a thickness of 10 mm, the minimum detectable diameter is 0.8–1.3 times of the depth. For polymeric materials results from the increasing temperature period are approximately the same as those from the decreasing temperature period. When the orientation of the image shearing is not perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the crack type defects, the sensitivity for defect detection is relatively higher than with perpendicular image shearing.  相似文献

A new technique based on digital shearography for determining the transient curvature and twist of a continuously deforming object from a series of speckle patterns is presented. The intensity variation of each pixel is analyzed along the time axis by using a complex Morlet wavelet transform. The absolute sign of the phase variation is determined by introduction of a temporal carrier when the speckle patterns are captured by a high-speed camera. A high-quality spatial distribution of the deflection derivative is extracted at any instant without the need for temporal or spatial phase unwrapping. The continuous Haar wavelet transform is subsequently processed as a differentiation operator to reconstruct the instantaneous curvature and twist of a continuously deforming object.  相似文献
