We determine the exact order of -complexity of the numerical integration problem for the anisotropic class Wr(Id) and Hr(Id) with respect to the worst case randomized methods and the average case deterministic methods. We prove this result by developing a decomposition technique of Borel measure on unit cube of d-dimensional Euclidean space. Moreover by the imbedding relationship between function classes we extend our results to the classes of functions Wp(Id) and Hp(Id). By the way we highlight some typical results and stress the importance of some open problems related to the complexity of numerical integration. We consider the non-negative integer defined by 2 = |deg 1 – deg 2|. The limiting distribution of the normalized periodogram ordinate is used to test for unit roots in the first-order autoregressive model st= s-1,t+s,t-1- s-1,t-1+st. Moreover, for the sequence n = e c/n , n = e d/n of local Pitman-type alternatives, the limiting distribution of the normalized periodogram ordinate is shown to be a linear combination of two independent chi-square random variables whose coefficients depend on c and d. This result is used to tabulate the asymptotic power of a test for various values of c and d. A comparison is made between the periodogram test and a spatial domain test.  相似文献

Let X be a closed, oriented Riemannian 4-manifold. Suppose that a cyclic group Z( p (p is prime) acts on X by an orientation preserving isometry with an embedded Riemann surface as fixed point set. We study the representation of Z p on the Spinc-bundles and the Z p-invariant moduli space of the solutions of the Seiberg–Witten equations for a Spinc-structure X. When the Z p action on the determinant bundle det L acts non-trivially on the restriction L| over the fixed point set , we consider -twisted solutions of the Seiberg-Witten equations over a Spinc-structure ' on the quotient manifold X/Z p X', (0,1). We relate the Z p -invariant moduli space for the Spinc-structure on X and the -twisted moduli space for the Spinc-structure on X'. From this we induce a one-to-one correspondence between these moduli spaces and calculate the dimension of the -twisted moduli space. When Z p acts trivially on L|, we prove that there is a one-to-one correspondence between the Z p -invariant moduli space M( Zp and the moduli space M (") where ' is a Spinc-structure on X' associated to the quotient bundle L/Z p X'. vskip0pt When p = 2, we apply the above constructions to a Kahler surface X with b 2 + (X) > 3 and H 2(X;Z) has no 2-torsion on which an anti-holomorphic involution acts with fixed point set , a Lagrangian surface with genus greater than 0 and []2H 2(H ;Z). If K X 2 > 0 or K X 2 = 0 and the genus g()> 1, we have a vanishing theorem for Seiberg–Witten invariant of the quotient manifold X'. When K X 2 = 0 and the genus g()= 1, if there is a Z 2-equivariant Spinc-structure on X whose virtual dimension of the Seiberg–Witten moduli space is zero then there is a Spinc-structure " on X' such that the Seiberg-Witten invariant is ±1.  相似文献

Random Cantor sets are constructions which generalize the classical Cantor set, middle third deletion being replaced by a random substitution in an arbitrary number of dimensions. Two results are presented here. (a) We establish a necessary and sufficient condition for the projection of ad-dimensional random Cantor set in [0,1]d onto ane-dimensional coordinate subspace to contain ane-dimensional ball with positive probability. The same condition applies to the event that the projection is the entiree-dimensional unit cube [0,1] e . This answers a question of Dekking and Meester,(9) (b) The special case of fractal percolation arises when the substitution is as follows: The cube [0,1] d is divided intoM d subcubes of side-lengthM , and each such cube is retained with probabilityp independently of all other subcubes. We show that the critical valuep c(M, d) ofp, marking the existence of crossings of [0,1] d contained in the limit set, satisfiesp c(M, d)p c(d) asM, wherep c(d) is the critical probability of site percolation on a latticeL d obtained by adding certain edges to the hypercubic lattice d . This result generalizes in an unexpected way a finding of Chayes and Chayes,(4) who studied the special case whend=2.  相似文献

We study super-Brownian motion inR d starting from a nontrivial finite measure and conditioned to nonextinction as defined by Evans. We prove uniform laws of large numbers, functional central limit theorems, a functional law of iterated logarithm, and large deviation principles. The function-indexed processes is a natural extension to a tree-indexed process at nth level of the usual smoothed partial-sum process corresponding to n=1. This paper deals with Watson statistic T w and likelihood ratio (LR) statistic T l for testing hypothesis H 0s: V (a given s-dimensional subspace) based on a sample of size n from a p-variate Langevin distribution M p(, ). Asymptotic expansions of the null and non-null distributions of T w and T l are obtained when n is large. Asymptotic expressions of those powers are also obtained. It is shown that the powers of them are coincident up to the order n -1 when is unknown.  相似文献

Summary In the present paper the limit laws for conveniently normalized multivariate sample extremes are characterized by means of the decomposability of probability distributions. Continuous automorphisms ofR d =[–,]d with respect to the operation v defined by x y=(max(x i, yi),i=1... d) are treated as norming mappings. An integral representation of the limit distributions is found using their log-concavity and a decomposition ofR d in orbits of the norming family. We determine for a super-Brownian motion {Xt:t0} in d, d3, the precise gauge function such that, almost surely on survival up to time t, improving a result of Barlow, Evans and Perkins about the most visited sites of super-Brownian motion. We also determine upper and lower bounds for the Hausdorff dimension spectrum of thick points refining the multifractal analysis of super-Brownian motion by Taylor and Perkins. The upper bound, conjectured to be sharp, involves a constant which can be characterized in terms of the upper tails of the associated equilibrium Palm distribution.Acknowledgements. We shall give a further application of Hermite-Mahler polynomials to the consideration ofp-adic exponential function. An effective lower bound is obtained for max {| – | p ,P(e )| p }, where is an algebraic number satisfying || p <p –/(p–1), and 0 is ap-adic number with | | p depending on the degree of the polynomialPZ[y].
