Quantum families of maps between quantum spaces are defined and studied. We prove that quantum semigroup (and sometimes quantum group) structures arise naturally on such objects out of more fundamental properties. As particular cases we study quantum semigroups of maps preserving a fixed state and quantum commutants of given quantum families of maps.  相似文献

The notion of partial fidelities as invented by A. Uhlmann for pairs of finite-dimensional density matrices is extended to the νN-algebraic context and is considered and thoroughly discussed in detail from a mathematical point of view. Especially, in the case of semifinite νN-algebras, formulae and estimates for the partial fidelity between the functionals of a dense cone of inner derived normal positive linear forms are obtained. Also, some generalities on the notion of fidelity in quantum physics are collected in Appendix, and another system of mathematical axioms for fidelity over density operators, which is based on the concept of relative majorization and which is intimately related to complete positivity, is proposed.  相似文献

In this paper, we show how connections and their generalizations on transitive Lie algebroids are related to the notion of connections in the framework of the derivation-based noncommutative geometry. In order to compare the two constructions, we emphasize the algebraic approach of connections on Lie algebroids, using a suitable differential calculus. Two examples allow this comparison: on the one hand, the Atiyah Lie algebroid of a principal fiber bundle and, on the other hand, the space of derivations of the algebra of endomorphisms of an SL(n,C)-vector bundle. We give an explicit formula for the solution to the initial-value problem of the full symmetric Toda hierarchy. The formula is obtained by the orthogonalization procedure of Szegö, and is also interpreted as a consequence of the QR factorization method of Symes. The sorting property of the dynamics is also proved for the case of a generic symmetric matrix in the sense described in the text, and generalizations of tridagonal formulae are given for the case of matrices with 2M+1 nonzero diagonals.  相似文献

Symplectic pentagonal transformations are intimately related to global versions of Poisson Lie groups (Manin groups, S *-groups, or symplectic pseudogroups). Symplectic pentagonal transformations of cotangent bundles, preserving the natural polarization, are shown to be in one to one correspondence with pentagonal transformations of the base manifold with a cocycle (if the base is connected and simply connected). By the results of Baaj and Skandalis, this allows to quantize (at the C *-algebra level!) those Poisson Lie groups, whose associated symplectic pentagonal transformation admits an invariant polarization. The (2n)2-parameter family of Poisson deformations of the (2n+1)-dimensional Heisenberg group described by Szymczak and Zakrzewski is shown to fall into this case.Supported by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. We construct an additive category where objects are embedded graphs in the 3-sphere and morphisms are geometric correspondences given by 3-manifolds realized in different ways as branched covers of the 3-sphere, up to branched cover cobordisms. We consider dynamical systems obtained from associated convolution algebras endowed with time evolutions defined in terms of the underlying geometries. We describe the relevance of our construction to the problem of spectral correspondences in noncommutative geometry.  相似文献

Every normal, faithful, self-adjoint functional on a von Neumann algebraA canonically determines a one-parameter-weakly continuous *-automorphism group (the analog of the modular group) and a canonical 2 grading onA, commuting with . We show that the functional satisfies the weak super-KMS property with respect to and Furthermore, we prove that and are the unique pair of a-weakly continuous one-parameter *-automorphism group and a grading of the algebra, commuting with each other, with respect to which is weakly super-KMS. We build a toy model of differential geometry on the real line, which includes derivatives of the second order. Such construction is possible only within the framework of noncommutative geometry. Using symmetric function techniques, we derive closed-form expressions for the Hirota polynomials for thepth modified KP and BKP hierarchies in terms of Schur and SchurQ-polynomials, respectively. A diffeomorphism of a finite-dimensional flat symplectic manifold which is canonoid with respect to all linear and quadratic Hamiltonians, preserves the symplectic structure up to a factor: so runs the quadratic Hamiltonian theorem. Here we show that the same conclusion holds for much smaller sufficiency subsets of quadratic Hamiltonians, and the theorem may thus be extended to homogeneous infinite-dimensional symplectic manifolds. In this way, we identify the distinguished Hamiltonians for the Kähler manifold of equivalent quantizations of a Hilbertizable symplectic space.  相似文献

In this Letter, homotopy perturbation method (HPM) is directly applied to modified Camassa-Holm and Degasperis-Procesi equations to obtain their solitary wave solutions. The results show the applicability, accuracy and efficiency of HPM in solving nonlinear differential equations with fully nonlinear dispersion term.
