We outline major ideas involved in discussion of color coherence phenomena (CCP) at intermediate energies. We point out that the recent advances in calculating cross sections of hard exclusive processes off light nuclei allow to use the lightest nuclei for sensitive tests of CCP. Consistency of the results of the measurements of color transparency in quasielastic A(p,2p) and A(e,e′p) processes is emphasized. Evidence for presence of significant color fluctuations in nucleons and pions emerging from the study of diffractive processes is summarized. A new class of hard processes leading to three particle final state is suggested for electron and hadron projectiles.  相似文献

The creation of the CASTOR forward calorimeter in the compact muon spectrometer (CMS) experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), CERN enabled us to perform experiments at energies corresponding to those of cosmic rays but at much greater intensities, the most important factor in studying rare and anomalous phenomena.  相似文献

The production of backward pions in lepton-nucleus collisions is analyzed. We show that a large yield of high momentum backward pions can be explained by the Regge asymptotic of the distribution of nucleons carrying a large momentum fraction in the nuclear target. The calculated spectra of pions emitted in the ν+ Ne →μ+π+ X and ν+2H →μ+π+ X reactions are in satisfactory agreement with the available experimental data. Multiplicities of hadrons produced in μp scattering are analyzed with a diquark scattering model. it is assumed that a proton is composed of a quark and a scaler diquark and that both the quark and the diquark act as partons. A reasonable agreement between the experimental data and the predictions of the model is obtained. In particular, the observed large ratio of the proton to the overall positive hadron yield forx>0.2 is successfully reproduced.  相似文献

Based on a Hamiltonian of a charged particle system with an intrinsic magnetic moment in an external electromagnetic field with the field of magnetic moments, quantum hydrodynamic equations are derived, including the equations for densities of particle number, momentum, magnetic moment, and energy. Angular distributions of high energy He nuclei, emitted from the target in central 16O-AgBr interactions, are found to be highly forward-peaked at 0.2 GeV/nucleon but almost isotropic at 2 GeV/nucleon. The angular distributions are in qualitative agreement with recent shock-wave calculations. However, we observe no narrow peaks neither in the angular nor in the energy distributions of He nuclei.  相似文献

It is observed that the polarized scattering amplitudes in the Planar-Transverse frame exhibit a simple pattern in that all amplitudes are either pure real or pure imaginary relative to each other. It also suggests that one of the amplitudes is almost three times larger than the others. This pattern persists for a variety of exclusive reactions and becomes more pronounced at high energies and large scattering angles.  相似文献

Total, total elastic and diffraction dissociation cross sections of interactions are calculated in the leading logarithmic approximation of QCD in the energy region accounting for absorption effects at the quark level. Our calculations with very large intercept of bare pomeron (>1/2) are in qualitative agreement with the data; however, we predict comparatively large cross section of double-diffraction dissociation.  相似文献

Previously published data on low-p T π+/K +/p?p interactions at 250 GeV/c are used to analyze the rapidity charge distribution and hadron structure function for the projectile hadrons. It is shown that the rapidity charge distribution for projectile hadrons can be approximated by a Gauss distribution, and their structure functions are found.  相似文献

Photon angular distributions and energy spectra up to the kinematical limit have been measured in proton reactions with light and heavy targets. For the first time the dependence of photon spectra on scattered protons has been measured to investigate the influence of multiple-scattering processes on the photon production. A strong suppression of bremsstrahlung relative to a quasi-free production model using the free pn bremsstrahlung cross section is observed in the low-energy regime of the photon spectrum in p+nucleus reactions. We attribute this effect to modifications of the bremsstrahlung amplitude in the nuclear medium and to interference of photon amplitudes due to multiple scattering of nucleons.  相似文献

In quantum systems at high level density, the states of the system are mixed strongly via the continuum of decay channels. This mixing creates states with large external collectivity if the level density reaches some critical value. Besides this external collectivity, the states may have some internal collectivity created by (internal) residual interaction in the corresponding closed system. The cross section pattern at high level density is determined by the interplay of internal and external collectivity. A short review of the results of one- and two-dimensional computer investigations of strong Langmuir turbulence is given. The main topics of interest are the following: formation of high energetic electron tails; ion sound turbulence accompanying collapse and plasmons' conversion; modulation instability (MI) in X,Y-geometry for TeTi? 1 and TeTi?1; MI in transverse magnetic field. Nonequilibrium collective phenomena and effects of nonlinear pattern formation play the crucial role in the onset of pitting corrosion on stainless steels. Such materials are naturally protected by the oxide layer covering their surface. The onset of pitting corrosion involves the development of microscopic metastable pits, each persisting for about a second. As proposed in our publications and confirmed in subsequent experiments, sudden transition to active corrosion results from chain reproduction of metastable pits on the stainless steel surface leading to an autocatalytic explosion.  相似文献
