The problem about the motion of a pressure pulse at constant velocity along the boundary of an elastic homogeneous half-plane has been examined in [1–3]. The problem was considered as stationary in [1, 2], while in [3] it was solved by using a Laplace time transformation. An analogous problem is considered in this paper for an elastic half-plane with variable Lamé parameters and density of the medium.  相似文献

In this study, the generally anisotropic and angularly inhomogeneous wedge under a monomial type of distributed loading of order n of, the radial coordinate r at its external faces is considered. At first, using variable separable relations in the equilibrium equations, the strain–stress relations and the strain compatibility equation, a differential system of equations, is constructed. Decoupling this system, an ordinary differential equation is derived and the stress and displacement fields may be determined. The proposed procedure is also applied to the elastostatic problem of an isotropic and angularly inhomogeneous wedge. The special cases of loading of order n=−1 and n=−2, where the self-similarity approach is not valid, are examined and the stress and displacements fields are derived. Applications are presented for the cases of an angularly inhomogeneous wedge and in the case of a bi-material isotropic wedge.  相似文献

A method is proposed to analyze wave fields in an elastic layer with elastic properties varying arbitrarily with depth. The method is based on reducing the boundary-value problem to a system of Fredholm integral equations of the second kind, which is then analyzed numerically. The boundary region of a turbulent boundary layer contributes greatly to the drag. Intense turbulence is generated in this region. Below we investigate the interaction of an elastic boundary with a viscous sublayer for a decrease in the Reynolds stresses, and for a corresponding decrease in the drag. It does not seem possible to investigate the general case. In the present paper, the effective elastic moduli of an inhomogeneous medium with cracks are derived and obtained by taking into account its microstructural properties which involve the shape, size and distribution of cracks and the interaction between cracks. Numerical results for the periodic microstructure of different dimensions are presented. From the results obtained, it can be found that the distribution of cracks has a significant effect on the effective elastic moduli of the material. An analytical solution to the axisymmetric problem on the action of a distributed load on an isotropic half-space when the load is given by a function dependent on the radial coordinate is obtained. The surface of the half-space is elastically fixed outside the circular domain of load application, the shear stresses are absent along the entire boundary, and the stresses vanish at infinity. At the boundary and inside the elastic half-space, the solutions are represented by the formulas for the stress tensor components and for the displacement vector components.  相似文献

Summary An explicit solution to Kelvin's problem in linear elastostatics is given when the indefinite elastic medium in isotropie, but not homogeneous. As a constitutive law, it is assumed that the tangent modulus is a constant, while varies with the distance from the origin according to an exponential law.

In this paper, an exact solution to the governing equations of the bending of a variable-thickness inhomogeneous rectangular plate is presented. The procedure is applicable to variable-thickness inhomogeneous rectangular plates with two opposite edges simply supported. The remaining ones subjected to a combination of clamped, simply supported, and free boundary conditions and between these two edges the plate may have varying thickness. The procedure is valuable in view of the fact that tables of deflections and stresses cannot be presented for variable-thickness inhomogeneous orthotropic plates as for uniform-thickness homogeneous isotropic plates even for commonly encountered loads because the results depend on the inhomogeneity coefficient and the orthotropic material properties instead of a single flexural rigidity. Numerical results, useful for the validation or otherwise of approximate solutions, are tabulated. The influences of the degree of the inhomogeneity, aspect ratio, thickness parameter and degree of non-uniformity on the deflections and stresses are investigated. This paper considers the inverse problem of determining the inhomogeneity laws of the coating of an elastic cylinder that provide minimum reflection of a plane acoustic wave in a particular angular sector and in a given frequency range. A functional that expresses the reflection intensity is constructed by direct solution of the direct problem, and an algorithm for minimizing this functional is proposed. Analytical expressions describing the mechanical parameters of the inhomogeneous coating are obtained.  相似文献

In the hypothesis of small displacements and combined time-variable/steady loads, the geometrical-mechanical properties of the shakedown load boundary are investigated. It is shown that, in the load space, the shakedown load boundary plays the role of yield surface, and that a certain plastic strain accumulation vector—characterizing some impending inadaptation collapse mechanism—obeys the normality rule, whereas a specific form of the maximum plastic work theorem constitutes an effective tool for the evaluation of the shakedown limit load corresponding to a specified inadaptation collapse mode. The equations governing the state of the structure at the shakedown limit are provided and the related collapse mechanism is shown to specify the shape of the steady-state response of the structure to a periodic load enveloping the load domain with an intensity slightly above the shakedown limit.
Sommario Nell'ipotesi di piccoli spostamenti e di plasticità perfetta, si studiano le proprietà geometrico-meccaniche della frontiera del dominio dei carichi di adattamento. Si mostra come, nello spazio dei carichi, la suddetta frontiera giuoca il ruolo di superficie di plasticizzazione ed un particolare vettore di deformazione plastica accumulata—che caratterizza il meccanismo di non adattamento—segue la legge della normalità, mentre una forma specifica del teorema del massimo lavoro plastico costituisce un valido strumento per la valutazione del carico limite corrispondente ad un dato meccanismo di non adattamento. Si forniscono altresì le equazioni che governano lo stato della struttura al limite di adattamento, mostrando la capacità del relativo meccanismo di collasso a rappresentare la risposta a lungo termine della struttura a dei carichi periodici inviluppanti il dominio dei carichi con una intensità un poco al di sopra del limite di adattamento.
