The average spins at which final fragments are formed after fission following fusion of 19F with 197Au have been measured directly from spectroscopic studies of discrete γ-ray lines. The final fragment spins can be translated into average spins at which primary fragments are formed by adding changes due to statistical γ-ray emission and post-fission neutron emission. The average primary fragment spins show marked variations with fragment mass. Possible causes for the structure are discussed within the framework of the statistical scission model of heavy-ion induced fission.  相似文献

A way of calculating the average spins of induced fission fragments is developed, based on the dynamic model of their angular distributions. The range of relaxation times for the degree of freedom associated with the orientation of the axis of symmetry of a fissioning nucleus relative to its total angular momentum is determined by analyzing experimental data on the energy dependences of average spins and the anisotropy of the angular distributions of fission fragments for the 12C, 16O + 232Th reactions at E сm = 55–150 MeV.  相似文献

The possibility of self-polarization of nuclear spins predicted by M.I. D’yakonov and V.I. Perel’ (JETP Lett. 16, 398 (1972)) has been investigated in the case of the electric current passing through a single quantum dot. The mechanisms of nuclear spin relaxation in the quantum dot leading to the polarization and depolarization of the nuclei are discussed. To make the nuclear polarization possible, it has been proposed to increase the nuclear polarization rate via the interaction of an electron localized in the quantum dot with electromagnetic oscillations in an electric circuit, whose proper frequency is tuned to a resonance with the Zeeman splitting of an electron level in the quantum dot.  相似文献

A new approach to identify the independent amplitudes along with their partial wave multipole expansions, for photo-and electro-production is suggested, which is generally applicable to mesons with arbitrary spin-parity. The formation of hypernuclei in hadron-induced reactions and in heavy-ion collisions within a combination of a covariant transport model and a statistical fragmentation approach is investigated. We study the applicability and limitations of such a hybrid approach by comparing fragmentation data in heavy-ion collisions and proton-induced reactions. It turns out that the combined approach describes fairly well multiplicities and momentum spectra of fragments. We thus extend the model by including strangeness degrees of freedom in the fragmentation process, modeled by a phase-space coalescence method. We provide theoretical predictions on spectra and on inclusive cross sections of light hypernuclei for the future experiments on hypernuclear physics at the new GSI facility.  相似文献

We analyse the exclusive channel pˉ↦γπ0, assuming handbag dominance. The soft parts are parametrized in terms of CGLN amplitudes for the qˉ↦γπ0 transition and form factors for the pˉ↦qˉ ones; the latter represent moments of Generalized Distribution Amplitudes. We present a combined fit to Fermilab data from E760 taking simultaneously into account information from other exclusive reactions, especially from pˉ↦γγ data. Overall a nicely consistent picture emerges, such that one can hope, that our theoretical analysis will be reliable also for the kinematics of GSI/FAIR, which, hopefully, will provide much more precise and complete data. Consequently, data from this facility should improve our knowledge both on the proton-antiproton distribution amplitudes and the pion production mechanism.  相似文献

We study the antiferromagnetic spin-1/2 Heisenberg model on a two-dimensional bipartite quasiperiodic structure, the octagonal tiling, the aperiodic equivalent of the square lattice for periodic systems. An approximate block spin renormalization scheme is described for this problem. The ground state energy and local staggered magnetizations for this system are calculated and compared with the results of a recent quantum Monte Carlo calculation for the tiling. It is conjectured that the ground state energy is exactly equal to that of the quantum antiferromagnet on the square lattice.  相似文献

The angular distributions of fragments originating from the binary fission of odd and odd-odd nuclei capable of undergoing spontaneous fission that are polarized by a strong magnetic field at ultralow temperatures and from the low-energy photofission of even-even nuclei that is induced by dipole and quadrupole photons are investigated. It is shown that the deviations of these angular distributions from those that are obtained on the basis of the A. Bohr formula make it possible to estimate the maximum relative orbital angular momentum of fission fragments, this estimate providing important information about the relative orientation of the fragment spins. The angular distributions of fragments originating from subthreshold fission are analyzed for the case of the 238U nucleus. A comparison of the resulting angular distributions with their experimental counterparts leads to the conclusion that the maximum relative orbital angular momentum of binary-fission fragments exceeds 20, the fragment spins having predominantly a parallel orientation. The possibility is considered for performing an experiment aimed at measuring the angular distributions of fragments of the spontaneous fission of polarized nuclei in order to determine both the spins of such nuclei and the maximum values of the relative orbital angular momenta of fission fragments.  相似文献

Recently, the classical auxiliary field methodology has been developed as a new simulation technique for performing calculations within the framework of classical statistical mechanics. Since the approach suffers from a sign problem, a judicious choice of the sampling algorithm, allowing a fast statistical convergence and an efficient generation of field configurations, is of fundamental importance for a successful simulation. In this paper we focus on the computational aspects of this simulation methodology. We introduce two different types of algorithms, the single-move auxiliary field Metropolis Monte Carlo algorithm and two new classes of force-based algorithms, which enable multiple-move propagation. In addition, to further optimize the sampling, we describe a preconditioning scheme, which permits to treat each field degree of freedom individually with regard to the evolution through the auxiliary field configuration space. Finally, we demonstrate the validity and assess the competitiveness of these algorithms on a representative practical example. We believe that they may also provide an interesting possibility for enhancing the computational efficiency of other auxiliary field methodologies.  相似文献

The lattice-vibrating metal photonic crystal is exactly a system of dynamical Casimir effect connected in series, and so we can expect that a dynamical Casimir effect is enhanced by the photonic band effect. In the present study, when an electromagnetic field between metal plates is in the ground state in a one-dimensional metal photonic crystal, the radiation of electromagnetic wave in excited states has been investigated by artificially introducing lattice vibration to the photonic crystal. In this case as well as a dynamical Casimir effect, it has been shown that the harmonics of a ground state are generated just by vibrating a photonic crystal even without an incident wave. The dependencies of the radiating power on the number of layers and on the wavenumber of the lattice vibration are remarkable. It has been found that the radiation amplitude on lower excited states is not necessarily large and radiation on specific excited levels is large.  相似文献

Nanographene has unique edge-shape dependence of the electronic structure with non-bonding edge states being created in its zigzag edges. The presence of the edge state is experimentally confirmed in well-defined hydrogen-terminated zigzag edges by scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy (STM/STS) observations. In the three-dimensional (3D) disordered network of nanographite domains in nanoporous carbon (activated carbon fibers), the localized edge-state spins are in a spin-glass-like ordered state at low temperatures with the aid of exchange interactions whose strengths varies randomly in space, when the strengths of inter-nanographene and nanographite interactions are tuned. Chemical and structural modifications of nanographene edges change the magnetism of edge-state spins through covalent bond formation and charge transfer.  相似文献

To solve the spinor-spinor Bethe-Salpeter equation in Euclidean space we propose a novel method related to the use of hyperspherical harmonics. We suggest an appropriate extension to form a new basis of spin-angular harmonics that is suitable for a representation of the vertex functions. We present a numerical algorithm to solve the Bethe-Salpeter equation and investigate in detail the properties of the solution for the scalar, pseudoscalar and vector meson exchange kernels including the stability of bound states. We also compare our results to the nonrelativistic ones and to the results given by light-front dynamics.  相似文献

Cubic interactions of higher-spin gauge fields in (A)dSd(A)dSd are studied in the metric-like approach. The competition between ordering and disordering is investigated for mixed spin models of Ising spins and classical n-vector spins on the honeycomb and the diced lattice. Two-dimensional mass-energy distributions of fission fragments are calculated for the first time on the basis of three-dimensional stochastic Langevin equations. In these calculations, the emission of light prescission particles is taken into account within the statistical model. The results demonstrate that calculations within three-dimensional Langevin dynamics make it possible to describe most compre-hensively the properties of the mass-energy distribution of fission fragments and the mean multiplicity of prescission neutrons.  相似文献
