An experimental study is reported of the influence of temperature (T), electric field polarity (±E), as well as of changes in the electrode/insulator/superconductor (E/I/S) measuring system on the field effect in the ceramic (BiPb)2Sr2Ca2Cu3Ox. It has been established that at 77 K and for E⩾60 MV/m the critical current I c and conductivity of the sample increase for I>I c, irrespective of the field polarity. For lower fields and a negative electrode potential the conductivity in an electric field may decrease. The field effect decreases with increasing temperature, to practically vanish near T c where the sample is still in superconducting state. Experiments carried out with more complex systems E/I/M/I/S and E/I/M/S (M stands for a metallic foil) support the conclusion that it is the external electric field that is responsible for the observed effects. Abstract

In studying the multiple scattering of acoustic waves by distributed discrete scatterers, the ‘two-exterior’ T-matrix or the modified T-matrix is needed. In this paper, the modified T-matrix formulae for a scatterer of arbitrary shape are derived, based on Huygen's principle and the method of optimal truncation (MOOT), respectively. Analytical expressions are given for the modified T-matrix elements of a spheroid in the low-frequency limit. The agreement with the existing results is shown to be exact to the given order of ka. It is also shown that the results based on Huygen's principle are merely the special cases of those based on MOOT.  相似文献

The total energy, the equilibrium lattice spacing, and the bulk modulus of the observed phases of zirconium are calculated by the full-potential LMTO method. Quantitative agreement with experiment is obtained for the volume and pressure of the structural transition ωβ. The behavior and prominent features of the electronic structure for Zr phases existing at high pressure are discussed, along with the role of the ground 4p states in the transition ωβ. Fiz. Tverd. ABSTRACT

X-ray Raman scattering spectroscopy is an emerging method in the study of low and intermediate Z elements' core-electron excitations at extreme conditions in order to reveal information on local structure and electronic state of matter in situ. We discuss the capabilities of this method to address questions in Earth materials' science and demonstrate its sensitivity to detect changes in the oxidation state, electronic structure, coordination, and spin state. Examples are presented for the study of the oxygen K-, silicon L- and iron M-edges. We assess the application of both temperature and pressure in such investigations exploiting diamond anvil cells in combination with resistive or laser heating which is required to achieve realistic conditions of the Earth's crust, mantle, and core.  相似文献

Using the convex semidefinite programming method and superoperator formalism we obtain the finite quantum tomography of some mixed quantum states such as: truncated coherent states tomography, phase tomography and coherent spin state tomography, qudit tomography, N-qubit tomography, where that obtained results are in agreement with those of References (Buzek et al., Chaos, Solitons and Fractals 10 (1999) 981; Schack and Caves, Separable states of N quantum bits. Abstract

Effect of oxygen deficiency on superconductivity is discussed for three well-known systems, T?, T'?, and T?-Ln2CuO4. Although their crystal structures are closely related to each other, the oxygen-deficiency effect on superconductivity is different from system to system. In T-(La, Sr)2CuO4 and T?-(Nd,Ce,Sr)2-CuO4, oxygen defects suppress T c while they enhance T c in T'-(Nd,Ce)2CuO4. In T-(La,Ba)2CuO4, oxygen defects have, for x ~ 0.065, a positive effect on superconductivity as well. This positive effect is discussed related to a low-temperature structural phase transition found in the Ba-system.  相似文献

This paper discusses a quantum-mechanical metal-insulator transition that occurs in an anisotropic electron-hole system with the electrons and holes separated and confined to a double quantum well. The critical concentration n c of carriers in the system above which the excitonic (insulating) phase becomes an electron-hole (metallic) phase is investigated, along with its dependence on the distance between wells D. We propose a novel deterministic protocol that two senders are capable of remotely preparing arbitrary two-and three-qubit states for a remote receiver using EPR pairs and GHZ state as the quantum channel.Compared with the existing deterministic protocols [An et al.2011 Phys.Lett.A 375 3570 and Chen et al.2012 J.Phys.A:Math.Theor.45 055303],the quantum resources and classical information in our scheme are decreased, and the whole operation process is simplified.  相似文献

The Poincaré–Dulac normal form of a given resonant system is in general nonunique; given a specific normal form, one would like to further reduce it to a simplest normal form. In this Letter we give an algorithm, based on the Lie algebraic structure of the set of normal forms, to obtain this. The algorithm can be applied under some condition, nongeneric but often met in applications. When applicable, it is only necessary to solve linear equations, and is more powerful than the one proposed in previous work by the same author [Lett. Math. Phys. 42 (1999), 103–114; and Ann. Inst. H. Poincaré Phys. Théor. 70 (1999), 461–514].  相似文献
