Homolytische aromatische Substitution als Nebenreaktion der Aralkylierung von 1,4-Polybutadien mit Cumol

1,4-Polybutadiene was allowed to react with cumene and di-tert-butyl peroxide as radical source. The modified polymer was crosslinked with dicumyl peroxide and degraded by olefin metathesis with 4-octene in the presence of WCl₆/(CH₃)₄Sn. Degradation products consisted of products with cumyl substituents but also of products with isopropylphenyl substituents proving aromatic substitution.

Zusammenfassung Es wird über eine Synthese von Derivaten des Chinisatins, in denen der Wasserstoff in 1-Stellung durch einen Alkyl-, Arylbzw. Aralkylrest ersetzt ist, berichtet. N-Methyl-(I), N-Phenyl-(II) und N-Benzyl-Chinisatin (III) eignen sich vortrefflich zum papierchromatographischen Nachweis von Aminosäuren, wobei sich N-Methylchinisatin (I) als besonders empfindliches Sprühreagens erweist.

The syntheses of N-alkyl and N-aryl substituted quinisatines is described. N-methyl-(I), N-phenyl-(II), and N-benzylquinisatin (III) are excellent spray reagents for the detection of amino acids on paper chromatogramms; N-methylquinisatin (I) proved to be the most sensitive.

Zusammenfassung Es wird gezeigt, daß das 3,3-Dihydroxy-2,2-bi-1-indenon (1), welchesMoubasher undIbrahim für den Ninhydrinfarbstoff halten, ein Sekundärprodukt desselben ist. Bei der katalytischen Hydrierung von 2-Nitro-1,3-indandion in Äthanol entsteht 6,12-Dioxo-6,12-dihydro-diindeno-pyrazin (3), während die Hydrolyse vonRuhemannpurpur (2) in ammoniakal. Lösung zum isomeren 5,7-Dioxo-5,7-dihydro-diindeno-pyrazin (5) führt.

New reagents for the detection of amino acids by paper chromatography, VI: Concerning the Ninhydrin reaction

It can be shown that 3.3-dihydroxy-2.2-bi-1-indenone (1), regarded byMoubasher andIbrahim as the ninhydrin dye, is in fact a consecutive product of the latter. The katalytic hydrogenation of 2-nitro-1.3-indandione in ethanol gives 6.12-dioxo-6.12-dihydro-diindeno-pyrazine (3), whereas the hydrolysis of Ruhemanns purple (2) in aqueous ammonia yields the isomeric 5.7-dioxo-5.7-dihydro-diindeno-pyrazine (5).

Neue Reagentien zum papierchromatographischen Nachweis von Aminosäuren, 4. Mitt.: Zur Chemie der “Ninhydrin-Reaktion”

Zusammenfassung Es wird gezeigt, daß bei der Umsetzung von vic. Triketoverbindungen mit Aminosäuren (Ninhydrin-Reaktion) intermediär die entsprechende Aminoverbindung, als wichtige Komponente für die Farbstoffbildung, entsteht. Die Reaktion von Aminosäuren mit 1,8-Trimethylen-chinisatinhydrat (TMCH) in Gegenwart von Eisessig/Ac ₂O führt zum 3-Acetamido-4-hydroxy-1,8-trimethylencarbostyril (5).

A study of the reaction of vic. trioxo compounds with amino acids (ninhydrin reaction) shows that the corresponding amino compound is the important intermediate of dye formation. The reaction of amino acids with 1.8-trimethylene-quinisatinhydrate (TMCH) in the presence of acetic acid and acetic anhydride yields 3-acetamido-4-hydroxy-1.8-trimethylene-carbostyril (5).
