In this paper, we derive a class of doubly periodic standing wave solutions for a coupled Higgs field equation by employing the Hirota bilinear method and theta function identities. Such solutions are expressed in terms of theta functions with variable separation form. Moreover, it is shown that these solutions can be converted into Jacobi elliptic function representations, and their long‐wave limit yields collision of dark solitons. In comparing with known solutions of the canonical evolution equation, three new aspects will be developed in this paper. First, the periods in the spatial and temporal directions, measured in terms of the theta function parameters τ and τ1, are independent of each other, quite unlike most similar solutions found earlier in the literature. Second, the doubly periodic wave solutions possess two families of the local maxima, whose locations and types are then examined in detail. Third, we obtain new doubly periodic standing wave solutions for the Davey–Stewartson equation through its similarity transformation to the coupled Higgs field equation. 相似文献

In this paper, we focus on the traveling wave solutions of the coupled Higgs field equation from the perspective of dynamical systems. Through the phase portraits, in addition to periodic wave solutions and solitary wave solutions, we also obtain explicit periodic singular wave solutions, singular wave solutions and kink wave solutions, which were not found in the previous works. The dynamical behavior of these solutions and their internal relations are revealed through asymptotic analysis. The results will help supplement the study of field equation. 相似文献

We present in this paper a generalised PC (GPC) equation which includes several known models. The corresponding traveling wave system is derived and we show that the homoclinic orbits of the traveling wave system correspond to the solitary waves of GPC equation, and the heteroclnic orbits correspond to the kink waves. Under some parameter conditions, the existence of above two types of orbits is demonstrated and the explicit expressions of the two solutions are worked out. 相似文献

In this paper we investigate the exact traveling wave solutions of the fifth-order Kaup-Kuperschmidt equation. The bifurcation and exact solutions of a general first-order nonlinear equation are investigated firstly. With the help of Maple and by using the bifurcation and exact solutions of two derived subequations, we obtain two families of solitary wave solutions and two families of periodic wave solutions of the KK equation. The authors establish the existence and stability of standing wave solutions of a nonlinear singularly perturbed systemof integral differential equations and a nonlinear scalar integral differential equation. It will be shown that there exist six standing wave solutions (u(x,t),w(x,t))=(U(x),W(x)) to the nonlinear singularly perturbed system of integral differential equations. Similarly, there exist six standing wave solutions u(x,t)=U(x) to the nonlinear scalar integral differential equation. Using a multi-scale perturbation expansion we reconsider the slowly varying solitary wave asymptotic solution of the perturbed Korteweg-de Vries equation. The well-known results for the variation of the solitary-wave amplitude and the accompanying trailing tail are recovered. Here the analysis is carried through to second order so as to determine a general expression for the first-order speed correction. In this article, the modified simple equation method (MSE) is used to acquire exact solutions to nonlinear evolution equations (NLEEs) namely the Zakharov- Kuznetsov Benjamin-Bona-Mahony equation and the Kadomtsov-Petviashvilli Benjamin- Bona-Mahony equation which have widespread usage in modern science. The MSE method is ascending and useful mathematical tool for constructing exact traveling wave solutions to NLEEs in the field of science and engineering. By means of this method we attained some significant solutions with free parameters and for special values of these parameters, we found some soliton solutions derived from the exact solutions. In this article we study global in time (not necessarily small) solutions of the equation for the Higgs boson in the Minkowski and in the de Sitter spacetimes. We reveal some qualitative behavior of the global solutions. In particular, we formulate sufficient conditions for the existence of the zeros of global solutions in the interior of their supports, and, consequently, for the creation of the so-called bubbles, which have been studied in particle physics and inflationary cosmology.
