The use of the [FeIII(AA)(CN)4]? complex anion as metalloligand towards the preformed [CuII(valpn)LnIII]3+ or [NiII(valpn)LnIII]3+ heterometallic complex cations (AA=2,2′‐bipyridine (bipy) and 1,10‐phenathroline (phen); H2valpn=1,3‐propanediyl‐bis(2‐iminomethylene‐6‐methoxyphenol)) allowed the preparation of two families of heterotrimetallic complexes: three isostructural 1D coordination polymers of general formula {[CuII(valpn)LnIII(H2O)3(μ‐NC)2FeIII(phen)(CN)2 {(μ‐NC)FeIII(phen)(CN)3}]NO3 ? 7 H2O}n (Ln=Gd ( 1 ), Tb ( 2 ), and Dy ( 3 )) and the trinuclear complex [CuII(valpn)LaIII(OH2)3(O2NO)(μ‐NC)FeIII(phen)(CN)3] ? NO3 ? H2O ? CH3CN ( 4 ) were obtained with the [CuII(valpn)LnIII]3+ assembling unit, whereas three isostructural heterotrimetallic 2D networks, {[NiII(valpn)LnIII(ONO2)2(H2O)(μ‐NC)3FeIII(bipy)(CN)] ? 2 H2O ? 2 CH3CN}n (Ln=Gd ( 5 ), Tb ( 6 ), and Dy ( 7 )) resulted with the related [NiII(valpn)LnIII]3+ precursor. The crystal structure of compound 4 consists of discrete heterotrimetallic complex cations, [CuII(valpn)LaIII(OH2)3(O2NO)(μ‐NC)FeIII(phen)(CN)3]+, nitrate counterions, and non‐coordinate water and acetonitrile molecules. The heteroleptic {FeIII(bipy)(CN)4} moiety in 5 – 7 acts as a tris‐monodentate ligand towards three {NiII(valpn)LnIII} binuclear nodes leading to heterotrimetallic 2D networks. The ferromagnetic interaction through the diphenoxo bridge in the CuII?LnIII ( 1 – 3 ) and NiII?LnIII ( 5 – 7 ) units, as well as through the single cyanide bridge between the FeIII and either NiII ( 5 – 7 ) or CuII ( 4 ) account for the overall ferromagnetic behavior observed in 1 – 7 . DFT‐type calculations were performed to substantiate the magnetic interactions in 1 , 4 , and 5 . Interestingly, compound 6 exhibits slow relaxation of the magnetization with maxima of the out‐of‐phase ac signals below 4.0 K in the lack of a dc field, the values of the pre‐exponential factor (τo) and energy barrier (Ea) through the Arrhenius equation being 2.0×10?12 s and 29.1 cm?1, respectively. In the case of 7 , the ferromagnetic interactions through the double phenoxo (NiII–DyIII) and single cyanide (FeIII–NiII) pathways are masked by the depopulation of the Stark levels of the DyIII ion, this feature most likely accounting for the continuous decrease of χM T upon cooling observed for this last compound.  相似文献

Non‐heme (L)FeIII and (L)FeIII‐O‐FeIII(L) complexes (L=1,1‐di(pyridin‐2‐yl)‐N,N‐bis(pyridin‐2‐ylmethyl)ethan‐1‐amine) underwent reduction under irradiation to the FeII state with concomitant oxidation of methanol to methanal, without the need for a secondary photosensitizer. Spectroscopic and DFT studies support a mechanism in which irradiation results in charge‐transfer excitation of a FeIII?μ‐O?FeIII complex to generate [(L)FeIV=O]2+ (observed transiently during irradiation in acetonitrile), and an equivalent of (L)FeII. Under aerobic conditions, irradiation accelerates reoxidation from the FeII to the FeIII state with O2, thus closing the cycle of methanol oxidation to methanal.  相似文献

It is promising and challenging to manipulate the electronic structures and functions of materials utilizing both metal‐to‐metal charge transfer (MMCT) and spin‐crossover (SCO) to tune the valence and spin states of metal ions. Herein, a metallocyanate building block is used to link with a FeII‐triazole moiety and generates a mixed‐valence complex {[(Tp4‐Me)FeIII(CN)3]9[FeII4(trz‐ph)6]}?[Ph3PMe]2?[(Tp4‐Me)FeIII(CN)3] ( 1 ; trz‐ph=4‐phenyl‐4H‐1,2,4‐triazole). Moreover, MMCT occurs between FeIII and one of the FeII sites after heat treatment, resulting in the generation of a new phase, {[(Tp4‐Me)FeII(CN)3][(Tp4‐Me)FeIII(CN)3]8 [FeIIIFeII3(trz‐ph)6]}? [Ph3PMe]2?[(Tp4‐Me)FeIII(CN)3] ( 1 a ). Structural and magnetic studies reveal that MMCT can tune the two‐step SCO behavior of 1 into one‐step SCO behavior of 1 a . Our work demonstrates that the integration of MMCT and SCO can provide a new alternative for manipulating functional spin‐transition materials with accessible multi‐electronic states.  相似文献

From the viewpoints of large capacity, long‐term guarantee, and low cost, interest in magnetic recording tapes has undergone a revival as an archive storage media for big data. Herein, we prepared a new series of metal‐substituted ?‐Fe2O3, ?‐GaIII0.31TiIV0.05CoII0.05FeIII1.59O3, nanoparticles with an average size of 18 nm. Ga, Ti, and Co cations tune the magnetic properties of ?‐Fe2O3 to the specifications demanded for a magnetic recording tape. The coercive field was tuned to 2.7 kOe by introduction of single‐ion anisotropy on CoII (S=3/2) along the c‐axis. The saturation magnetization was increased by 44 % with GaIII (S=0) and TiIV (S=0) substitution through the enhancement of positive sublattice magnetizations. The magnetic tape media was fabricated using an actual production line and showed a very sharp signal response and a remarkably high signal‐to‐noise ratio compared to the currently used magnetic tape.  相似文献

A mononuclear FeII complex, prepared with a Brønsted diacid ligand, H2L (H2L=2‐[5‐phenyl‐1H‐pyrazole‐3‐yl] 6‐benzimidazole pyridine), shows switchable physical properties and was isolated in five different electronic states. The spin crossover (SCO) complex, [FeII(H2L)2](BF4)2 ( 1A ), exhibits abrupt spin transition at T1/2=258 K, and treatment with base yields a deprotonated analogue [FeII(HL)2] ( 1B ), which shows gradual SCO above 350 K. A range of FeIII analogues were also characterized. [FeIII(HL)(H2L)](BF4)Cl ( 1C ) has an S=5/2 spin state, while the deprotonated complexes [FeIII(L)(HL)], ( 1D ), and (TEA)[FeIII(L)2], ( 1E ) exist in the low‐spin S=1/2 state. The electronic properties of the five complexes were fully characterized and we demonstrate in situ switching between multiple states in both solution and the solid‐state. The versatility of this simple mononuclear system illustrates how proton donor/acceptor ligands can vastly increase the range of accessible states in switchable molecular devices.  相似文献

The reaction of tricyanometallate precursor, (Bu4N)[(pzTp)Fe(CN)3] with Cu(ClO4)2·6H2O in the presence of the tetradentate ligand tris(2‐pyridylmethyl)amine (TPyA) afford the dinuclear compound fac‐{[FeIII(pzTp)(CN)2(μ‐CN)]CuII(TPA)}·Et2O·ClO4 ( 1 ) (pzTp = tetrakis(pyrazolyl)borate). The molecular structure was determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. In compound 1 , the FeIII ion is coordinated by three cyanide carbon atoms and three nitrogen atoms of pzTp anions. Whereas, the CuII ion is surrounded by one cyanide nitrogen atom and four nitrogen atoms from the TPyA ligand. Magnetic measurements indicate the intramolecular ferromagnetic coupling is observed for compound 1 , and it has S = 1 ground states.  相似文献

A bulky bidentate ligand was used to stabilize a macrocyclic [FeIII8CoII6] cluster. Tuning the basicity of the ligand by derivatization with one or two methoxy groups led to the isolation of a homologous [FeIII8CoII6] species and a [FeIII6FeII2CoIII2CoII2] complex, respectively. Lowering the reaction temperatures allowed isolation of [FeIII6FeII2CoIII2CoII2] clusters with all three ligands. Temperature‐dependent absorption data and corresponding experiments with iron/nickel systems indicated that the iron/cobalt self‐assembly process was directed by the occurrence of solution‐state electron‐transfer‐coupled spin transition (ETCST) and its influence on reaction intermediate lability.  相似文献

The self‐assembly of DyIII–3‐hydroxypyridine (3‐OHpy) complexes with hexacyanidocobaltate(III) anions in water produces cyanido‐bridged {[DyIII(3‐OHpy)2(H2O)4] [CoIII(CN)6]}?H2O ( 1 ) chains. They reveal a single‐molecule magnet (SMM) behavior with a large zero direct current (dc) field energy barrier, ΔE=266(12) cm?1 (≈385 K), originating from the single‐ion property of eight‐coordinated DyIII of an elongated dodecahedral geometry, which are embedded with diamagnetic [CoIII(CN)6]3? ions into zig‐zag coordination chains. The SMM character is enhanced by the external dc magnetic field, which results in the ΔE of 320(23) cm?1 (≈460 K) at Hdc=1 kOe, and the opening of a butterfly hysteresis loop below 6 K. Complex 1 exhibits white DyIII‐based emission realized by energy transfer from CoIII and 3‐OHpy to DyIII. Low temperature emission spectra were correlated with SMM property giving the estimation of the zero field ΔE. 1 is a unique example of bifunctional magneto‐luminescent material combining white emission and slow magnetic relaxation with a large energy barrier, both controlled by rich structural and electronic interplay between DyIII, 3‐OHpy, and [CoIII(CN)6]3?.  相似文献

We report three self‐assembled iron complexes that comprised an anti‐parallel open form (o‐ L anti), a parallel open form (o‐ L syn), and a closed form (c‐ L ) of diarylethene conformers. Under kinetic control, FeII2(o‐ L anti)3 was isolated, which exhibited a dinuclear structure with diamagnetic properties. Under light‐irradiation control, FeII2(c‐ L )3 was prepared and exhibited paramagnetism and spin‐crossover behaviour. Under thermodynamic control and in the presence of indispensable [FeIII(Tp*)(CN)3]?, FeII2(o‐ L anti)3 and FeII2(c‐ L )3 transformed into tetranuclear FeIII2FeII2(o‐ L syn)2, which exhibited complete spin‐crossover behaviour at T1/2=353 K.  相似文献

Generation of hydroxyl radicals in the Fenton system (FeII/H2O2) is seriously limited by the sluggish kinetics of FeIII reduction and fast FeIII precipitation. Here, boron crystals (C‐Boron) remarkably accelerate the FeIII/FeII circulation in Fenton‐like systems (C‐Boron/FeIII/H2O2) to produce a myriad of hydroxyl radicals with excellent efficiencies in oxidative degradation of various pollutants. The surface B?B bonds and interfacial suboxide boron in the surface B12 icosahedra are the active sites to donate electrons to promote fast FeIII reduction to FeII and further enhance hydroxyl radical production via Fenton chemistry. The C‐Boron/FeIII/H2O2 system outperforms the benchmark Fenton (FeII/H2O2) and FeIII‐based sulfate radical systems. The reactivity and stability of crystalline boron is much higher than the popular molecular reducing agents, nanocarbons, and other metal/metal‐free nanomaterials.  相似文献

The cyanide building block [FeIII(pzphen)(CN)4] and its four lanthanide complexes [{FeIII(pzphen)(CN)4}2LnIII(H2O)5(DMF)3] · (NO3) · 2(H2O) · (CH3CN) [Ln = Nd ( 1 ), Sm ( 2 ), DMF = dimethyl formamide] and [{FeIII(pzphen)(CN)4}2LnIII(NO3)(H2O)2(DMF)2](CH3CN) [Ln = Gd ( 3 ), Dy ( 4 )] were synthesized and structurally characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. Compounds 1 and 2 are ionic salts with two [FeIII(pzphen)(CN)4] cations and one LnIII ion, but compounds 3 and 4 are cyano‐bridged FeIIILnIII heterometallic 3d‐4f complexes exhibiting a trinuclear structure in the same conditions. Magnetic studies show that compound 3 is antiferromagnetic between the central FeIII and GdIII atoms. Furthermore, the trinuclear cyano‐bridged FeIII2DyIII compound 4 displays no single‐molecular magnets (SMMs) behavior by the alternating current magnetic susceptibility measurements.  相似文献

This paper reports a new partially oxidized triphylite‐type phosphate (lithium iron phosphate), which has been synthesized hydrothermally at 973 K and 0.1 GPa. The structure is similar to that of natural triphylite, LiFe(PO4), and is characterized by two chains of edge‐sharing octahedra parallel to the b axis. The weakly distorted M1 octahedra contain Li atoms, whereas the more strongly distorted M2 octahedra contain FeII and FeIII atoms. Refined site occupancies and bond‐valence analysis show the presence of FeIII and vacancies on the M2 site, mainly explained by the substitution mechanism 3 FeII = 2 FeIII + vacancies.  相似文献

Iron gallates with iron in the oxidation states Fe2+ and Fe3+ were prepared and studied by Mössbauer spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, and IR spectroscopy. FeIII 3,4,5‐trihydroxybenzoate (gallate) Fe(C7O5H4) · 2H2O, whose structure was first determined by Wunderlich, was obtained by the reaction of gallic acid and metallic iron or by oxidation of the FeII gallate, which was obtained by the reaction of ferrous sulfate with 3,4,5‐trihydroxybezoic acid (gallic acid) under anoxic conditions. Trials to reproduce the hydrothermal preparation method of Feller and Cheetham show that the result depends crucially on the free gas volume in the reaction vessel. If there is no free volume one obtains the same FeIII gallate as in the other preparation methods. With a large free volume another compound was found to form whose composition and structure could not be determined. It could be specified only by Mössbauer spectroscopy. FeIII gallate, the FeII gallate, and the new phase show magnetic ordering at liquid helium temperature.  相似文献

Single crystals of the FeII metal‐organic framework (MOF) with 1,3,5‐benzenetricarboxylate (BTC) as a linker were solvothermally obtained under air‐free conditions. X‐ray diffraction analysis of the crystals demonstrated a structure for FeII‐MOF analogous to that of [Cu3(BTC)2] (HKUST‐1). Unlike HKUST‐1, however, the FeII‐MOF did not retain permanent porosity after exchange of guest molecules. The Mössbauer spectrum of the FeII‐MOF was recorded at 80 K in zero field yielding an apparent quadrupole splitting of ΔEQ = 2.43 mm · s–1, and an isomer shift of δ = 1.20 mm · s–1, consistent with high‐spin central iron(II) atoms. Air exposure of the FeII‐MOF was found to result in oxidation of the metal atoms to afford FeIII. These results demonstrate that FeII‐based MOFs can be prepared in similar fashion to the [Cu3(BTC)2], but that they lack permanent porosity when degassed.  相似文献

Two mixed‐valent disc‐like hepta‐nuclear compounds of [FeIIFeIII6(tea)6](ClO4)2 ( 1Fe , tea = N(CH2CH2O)33?) and [MnII3MnIII4(nmdea)6(N3)6]·CH3OH ( 2Mn , nmdea = CH3N(CH2CH2O)22?) have been synthesized by the reaction of Fe(ClO4)2·6H2O with triethanolamine (H3tea) for the former and reaction of Mn(ClO4)2·6H2O with diethanolamine (H2nmdea) and NaN3 for the later, respectively. 1Fe has the cationic cluster with a planar [FeIIFeIII6] core consisting of one central FeII and six rim FeIII atoms in hexagonal arrangement. The Fe ions are linked by the oxo‐bridges from the alcohol arms in the manner of edge‐sharing of their coordination octahedra. 2Mn is a neutral cluster with a [MnII3MnIII4] core possessing one central MnII atom surrounded by six rim Mn ions, two MnII and four MnIII. The structure is similar to 1Fe but involves six terminal azido ligands, each coordinate one rim Mn ion. 1Fe showed dominant antiferromagnetic interaction within the cluster and long‐range ordering at 2.7 K. The cluster probably has a ground state of low spin of S = 5/2 or 4/2. The long‐range ordering is weak ferromagnetic, showing small hysteresis with a remnant magnetization of 0.3 Nβ and a coercive field of 40 Oe. Moreover, the isofield of lines 1Fe are far from superposition, indicating the presence of significant zero–field splitting. Ferromagnetic interactions are dominant in 2Mn . An intermediate spin ground state 25/2 is observed at low field. In high field of 50 kOe, the energetically lowest state is given by the ms = 31/2 component of the S = 31/2 multiplet due to the Zeeman effect. Despite of the large ground state, no single‐molecule magnet behavior was found above 2 K.  相似文献

Three isoskeletal tetranuclear coordination clusters with general formula [MII2DyIII2L4(EtOH)6](ClO4)2?2 EtOH, (M=Co, 1 ; M=Ni, 2 ) and [NiII2DyIII2L4Cl2(CH3CN)2]?2 CH3CN ( 3 ), have been synthesized and characterized. These air‐stable compounds, and in particular 3 , display efficient homogeneous catalytic behavior in the room‐temperature synthesis of trans‐4,5‐diaminocyclopent‐2‐enones from 2‐furaldehyde and primary or secondary amines under a non‐inert atmosphere.  相似文献

It is a challenge to reversibly switch both magnetism and polarity using light irradiation. Herein we report a linear Fe2Co complex, whereby interconversion between FeIIILS(μ‐CN)CoIIHS(μ‐NC)FeIIILS (LS=low‐spin, HS=high‐spin) and FeIIILS(μ‐CN)CoIIILS(μ‐NC)FeIILS linkages could be achieved upon heating and cooling, or alternating laser irradiation at 808 and 532 nm. The electron spin arrangement and charge distribution were simultaneously tuned accompanying bidirectional metal‐to‐metal charge transfer, providing switchable polarity and magnetism in the complex.  相似文献

The title complex, catena‐poly[[[(2,2′‐bipyridine‐1κ2N,N′)tris(methanol‐2κO)(nitrato‐2κ2O,O′)‐μ‐cyanido‐1:2C:N‐cyanido‐1κC‐iron(II)neodymium(III)]‐di‐μ‐cyanido‐1:2′C:N;2:1′N:C] methanol solvate], {[FeIINdIII(CN)4(NO3)(C10H8N2)(CH3OH)3]·CH3OH}n, is made up of ladder‐like one‐dimensional chains oriented along the c axis. Each ladder consists of two strands based on alternating FeII and NdIII centers connected by cyanide bridges. Furthermore, two such parallel chains are connected by additional cyanide cross‐pieces (the `rungs' of the ladder), which likewise connect FeII and NdIII centers, such that each [Fe(CN)4(bipy)]2− unit (bipy is 2,2′‐bipyridine) coordinates with three NdIII centers and each NdIII center connects with three different [Fe(CN)4(bipy)]2− units. In the complex, the iron(II) cation is six‐coordinated with a distorted octahedral geometry and the neodymium(III) cation is eight‐coordinated with a distorted dodecahedral environment.  相似文献

We report the synthesis, characterization, and reactivity of [LFe3(PhPz)3OMn(sPhIO)][OTf]x ( 3 : x =2; 4 : x =3), where 4 is one of very few examples of iodosobenzene–metal adducts characterized by X‐ray crystallography. Access to these rare heterometallic clusters enabled differentiation of the metal centers involved in oxygen atom transfer (Mn) or redox modulation (Fe). Specifically, 57Fe Mössbauer and X‐ray absorption spectroscopy provided unique insights into how changes in oxidation state ( FeIII 2 FeIIMnII vs. FeIII 3 MnII ) influence oxygen atom transfer in tetranuclear Fe3Mn clusters. In particular, a one‐electron redox change at a distal metal site leads to a change in oxygen atom transfer reactivity by ca. two orders of magnitude.  相似文献

A salen‐type Dy2 complex [Dy2(L)(MeOH)2(CH3COO)4] · 2(MeOH) was isolated and magnetically characterized, in which one hexadentate ligand H2L [H2L = N,N‐bis(2‐oxy‐3‐methoxybenzylidene)‐1,2‐phenylenediamine] chelated two DyIII ions, one is located on the apical position of the inner N2O2 site, leaving the outer O2O2 cavity for another DyIII ion. There are two distinct local coordination environments presented as square antiprism (D4d) for Dy1 and biaugmented trigonal prism (C2v) for Dy2. Magnetic measurements reveal that the ferromagnetic interaction between two DyIII ions occurred within low temperature range and accompanied with significant slow magnetic relaxation behavior with energy barriers to the reversal of magnetization Ueff/KB = 40 K under zero dc field.  相似文献
