On lifting of operators to Hilbert spaces induced by positive selfadjoint operators

We introduce the notion of induced Hilbert spaces for positive unbounded operators and show that the energy spaces associated to several classical boundary value problems for partial differential operators are relevant examples of this type. The main result is a generalization of the Krein-Reid lifting theorem to this unbounded case and we indicate how it provides estimates of the spectra of operators with respect to energy spaces.     

An Extension of Set-Valued Contraction Principle for Mappings on a Metric Space with a Graph and Application

In this paper, we obtain an existence theorem for fixed points of contractive set-valued mappings on a metric space endowed with a graph. This theorem unifies and extends several fixed point theorems for mappings on metric spaces and for mappings on metric spaces endowed with a graph. As an application, we obtain a theorem on the convergence of successive approximations for some linear operators on an arbitrary Banach space. This result yields the well-known Kelisky–Rivlin theorem on iterates of the Bernstein operators on C[0,1].     

Weyl’s theorem and thin spectra

Using the notion of thin sets we prove a theorem of Weyl type for the Wolf essential spectrum ofT ∈β (H). *Further we show that Weyl’s theorem holds for a restriction convexoid operator and consequently modify some results of Berberian. Finally we show that Weyl’s theorem holds for a paranormal operator and that a polynomially compact paranormal operator is a compact perturbation of a diagnoal normal operator. A structure theorem for polynomially compact paranormal operators is also given.

Sampling in a Hilbert space

An analog of the Whittaker-Shannon-Kotel'nikov sampling theorem is derived for functions with values in a separable Hilbert space. The proof uses the concept of frames and frame operators in a Hilbert space. One of the consequences of this theorem is that it allows us to derive sampling theorems associated with boundary-value problems and some homogeneous integral equations, which in turn gives us a generalization of another sampling theorem by Kramer.

     

Relative oscillation theory for Dirac operators

We develop relative oscillation theory for one-dimensional Dirac operators which, rather than measuring the spectrum of one single operator, measures the difference between the spectra of two different operators. This is done by replacing zeros of solutions of one operator by weighted zeros of Wronskians of solutions of two different operators. In particular, we show that a Sturm-type comparison theorem still holds in this situation and demonstrate how this can be used to investigate the number of eigenvalues in essential spectral gaps. Furthermore, the connection with Krein's spectral shift function is established. As an application we extend a result by K.M. Schmidt on the finiteness/infiniteness of the number of eigenvalues in essential spectral gaps of perturbed periodic Dirac operators.

Approximation by Durrmeyer type Jakimoski–Leviatan operators

In this study, we introduce the Durrmeyer type Jakimoski–Leviatan operators and examine their approximation properties. We study the local approximation properties of these operators. Further, we investigate the convergence of these operators in a weighted space of functions and obtain the approximation properties. Operators of harmonic analysis in weighted spaces with non-standard growth

Last years there was increasing an interest to the so-called function spaces with non-standard growth, known also as variable exponent Lebesgue spaces. For weighted such spaces on homogeneous spaces, we develop a certain variant of Rubio de Francia's extrapolation theorem. This extrapolation theorem is applied to obtain the boundedness in such spaces of various operators of harmonic analysis, such as maximal and singular operators, potential operators, Fourier multipliers, dominants of partial sums of trigonometric Fourier series and others, in weighted Lebesgue spaces with variable exponent. There are also given their vector-valued analogues.     

Approximation by Kantorovich-Szász Type Operators Based on Brenke Type Polynomials

In this article, we give a generalization of the Kantorovich-Szász type operators defined by means of the Brenke type polynomials introduced in the literature and obtain convergence properties of these operators by using Korovkin’s theorem. Some graphical examples using the Maple program for this approximation are given. We also establish the order of convergence by using modulus of smoothness and Peetre’s K-functional and give a Voronoskaja type theorem. In addition, we deal with the convergence of these operators in a weighted space.     

On the Cohen strongly p-summing multilinear operators

In this paper, we introduce and study a new concept of summability in the category of multilinear operators, which is the Cohen strongly p-summing multilinear operators. We prove a natural analog of the Pietsch domination theorem and we compare the notion of p-dominated multilinear operators with this class by generalizing a theorem of Bu-Cohen.     

Korovkin type theorem for non‐tensor Balázs type Bleimann,Butzer and Hahn operators

In this paper, we prove a certain Korovkin type approximation theorem by introducing new test functions. We introduce the non‐tensor Balázs type Bleimann, Butzer and Hahn operators and give the approximation property by using this new Korovkin theorem. Furthermore, we obtain the rate of convergence of these operators by means of modulus of continuity. Finally, we state the multivariate version of the abovementioned Korovkin type theorem. The finite sum of finite products of Toeplitz operators on the polydisk

A limit theorem is established for a finite sum of finite products of Toeplitz operators on the Hardy space of the polydisk. As a consequence we show that the product of six Toeplitz operators with pluriharmonic symbols is compact iff the product equals zero iff one of these Toeplitz operators equals zero.

In this paper,let T be a bounded linear operator on a complex Hilbert H.We give and prove that every p-w-hyponormal operator has Bishop's property(β)and spectral properties;Quasi-similar p-w-hyponormal operators have equal spectra and equal essential spectra.Finally,for p-w-hyponormal operators,we give a kind of proof of its normality by use of properties of partial isometry.

本文研究了算子的插值问题.利用Riesz-Thorin定理的证明方法,并运用Daubechies小波得到了Besov空间上的线性算子的插值定理.     

Some Remarks on the Restriction Theorems for the Maximal Operators on Rd

The aim of this paper is to give a simple proof of the restriction theorem for the maximal operators on the d-dimensional Euclidean space Rd, whose theorem was proved by Carro-Rodriguez in 2012.Moreover, we shall give some remarks of the restriction theorem for the linear and the multilinear operators by Carro-Rodriguez and Rodriguez, too.     

Absolute continuity of spectral shift

In this paper we develop the method of double operator integrals to prove trace formulae for functions of contractions, dissipative operators, unitary operators and self-adjoint operators. To establish the absolute continuity of spectral shift, we use the Sz.-Nagy theorem on the absolute continuity of the spectral measure of the minimal unitary dilation of a completely nonunitary contraction. We also give a construction of an intermediate contraction for a pair of contractions with trace class difference.     

Weighted statistical approximation by kantorovich type q-Szász-Mirakjan operators

In the present paper, we introduce a Kantorovich type modification of q-Szász-Mirakjan operators and obtain weighted statistical approximation properties of these operators. Also for introduced operators, we give a Voronovskaja type theorem related to q-derivatives.     

Monotone Operators Representable by l.s.c. Convex Functions

A theorem due to Fitzpatrick provides a representation of arbitrary maximal monotone operators by convex functions. This paper explores representability of arbitrary (nonnecessarily maximal) monotone operators by convex functions. In the finite-dimensional case, we identify the class of monotone operators that admit a convex representation as the one consisting of intersections of maximal monotone operators and characterize the monotone operators that have a unique maximal monotone extension.Mathematics Subject Classifications (2000) 47H05, 46B99, 47H17.
