We show that algebraic independence of some complex functions of one variable over regular functions implies their algebraic independence over a larger ring, containing complex powers of regular functions. Based on this we obtain a generalization of a special case of the theorem of Kaczorowski and Perelli on functional independence of logarithms of functions in the Selberg class. As an application we state a new result on oscillations of arithmetical functions.  相似文献

In this paper, we show that the ring of finite integral adeles, together with its Borel field and its normalized Haar measure, is an appropriate probability space where limit-periodic arithmetical functions can be extended to random variables. The natural extensions of additive and multiplicative functions are studied. Besides, the convergence of Fourier expansions of limit-periodic functions is proved.  相似文献

In this article we investigate the transfer of the notions of elementary divisor ring, Hermite ring, Bezout ring, and arithmetical ring to trivial ring extensions of commutative rings by modules. Namely, we prove that the trivial ring extension R: = A ? B defined by extension of integral domains is an elementary divisor ring if and only if A is an elementary divisor ring and B = qf(A); and R is an Hermite ring if and only if R is a Bezout ring if and only if A is a Bezout domain and qf(A) = B. We provide necessary and sufficient conditions for R = A ? E to be an arithmetical ring when E is a nontorsion or a finitely generated A ? module. As an immediate consequences, we show that A ? A is an arithmetical ring if and only if A is a von Neumann regular ring, and A ? Q(A) is an arithmetical ring if and only if A is a semihereditary ring.  相似文献

In this work, free multivariate skew polynomial rings are considered, together with their quotients over ideals of skew polynomials that vanish at every point (which includes minimal multivariate skew polynomial rings). We provide a full classification of such multivariate skew polynomial rings (free or not) over finite fields. To that end, we first show that all ring morphisms from the field to the ring of square matrices are diagonalizable, and that the corresponding derivations are all inner derivations. Secondly, we show that all such multivariate skew polynomial rings over finite fields are isomorphic as algebras to a multivariate skew polynomial ring whose ring morphism from the field to the ring of square matrices is diagonal, and whose derivation is the zero derivation. Furthermore, we prove that two such representations only differ in a permutation on the field automorphisms appearing in the corresponding diagonal. The algebra isomorphisms are given by affine transformations of variables and preserve evaluations and degrees. In addition, ours proofs show that the simplified form of multivariate skew polynomial rings can be found computationally and explicitly.  相似文献

We prove that n pairwise commuting derivations of the polynomial ring (or the power series ring) in n variables over a field k of characteristic 0 form a commutative basis of derivations if and only if they are k-linearly independent and have no common Darboux polynomials. This result generalizes a recent result due to Petravchuk and is an analogue of a well-known fact that a set of pairwise commuting linear operators on a finite dimensional vector space over an algebraically closed field has a common eigenvector.  相似文献

It is known that the only positive derivation on a reduced archimedean f-ring is the zero derivation. We investigate derivations on general archimedean lattice-ordered rings. First, we consider semigroup rings over cyclic semigroups and show that, in the finite case, the only derivation that is zero on the underlying ring is the zero derivation and that, in the infinite case, such derivations are always based on the derivative. Turning our attention to lattice-ordered rings, we show that, on many algebraic extensions of totally ordered rings, the only positive derivation is the zero derivation and that, for transcendental extensions, derivations that are lattice homomorphisms are always translations of the usual derivative and derivations that are orthomorphisms are always dilations of the usual derivative. We also show that the only positive derivation on a lattice-ordered matrix ring over a subfield of the real numbers is the zero derivation, and we prove a similar result for certain lattice-ordered rings with positive squares. This paper studies the multiplicative ideal structure of commutative rings in which every finitely generated ideal is quasi-projective. We provide some preliminaries on quasi-projective modules over commutative rings. Then we investigate the correlation with the well-known Prüfer conditions; that is, we prove that this class of rings stands strictly between the two classes of arithmetical rings and Gaussian rings. Thereby, we generalize Osofsky’s theorem on the weak global dimension of arithmetical rings and partially resolve Bazzoni-Glaz’s related conjecture on Gaussian rings. We also establish an analogue of Bazzoni-Glaz results on the transfer of Prüfer conditions between a ring and its total ring of quotients. We then examine various contexts of trivial ring extensions in order to build new and original examples of rings where all finitely generated ideals are subject to quasi-projectivity, marking their distinction from related classes of Prüfer rings.  相似文献

We construct the high order Kähler modules of noncommutative ring extensions B/A and show their fundamental properties. Our Kähler modules represent not only high order left derivations for one-sided modules but also high order central derivations for bimodules, which are usual derivations. This new viewpoint enables us to prove new results which were not known even though B is an algebra over a commutative ring A. Our results are the decomposition of Kähler modules by an idempotent element, exact sequences of Kähler modules, the Kähler modules of factor rings, and the relation to separable extensions. In particular, our exact sequences of high order Kähler modules were not known even though B is commutative.  相似文献
