The nonadiabatic corrections to the self-energy part Σs(q, ω) of the phonon Green’s function are studied for various values of the phonon vectors q resulting from electron-phonon interactions. It is shown that the long-range electron-electron Coulomb interaction has no direct influence on these effects, aside from a possible renormalization of the corresponding constants. The electronic response functions and Σs(q, ω) are calculated for arbitrary vectors qand energy ω in the BCS approximation. The results obtained for q=0 agree with previously obtained results. It is shown that for large wave numbers q, vertex corrections are negligible and Σs(q, ω) possesses a logarithmic singularity at ω=2Δ, where Δ is the superconducting gap. It is also shown that in systems with nesting, Σs(Q, ω) (where Q is the nesting vector) possesses a square-root singularity at ω=2Δ, i.e., exactly of the same type as at q=0. The results are used to explain the recently published experimental data on phonon anomalies, observed in nickel borocarbides in the superconducting state, at large q. It is shown, specifically, that in these systems nesting must be taken into account in order to account for the emergence of a narrow additional line in the phonon spectral function S(q, ω)≈−π −1 Im D s (q, ω), where D s (q, ω) is the phonon Green’s function, at temperatures T<T c . A vibronic sideband spectrometer is used to detect phonons generated from phonon fluorescence in superconductors. Although previously projected phonon powers are just within the minimum detectivity, no sideband signals were observed. An interpretation of this result is given.  相似文献

The superconductivity-induced self-energy of phonons has been calculated in the lowest-order conserving approximation using conventional strong-coupling theory and also including scattering at nonmagnetic impurities. Results for the dependence of the shift and the width of phonons on temperature and scattering rates are presented and their sensitivity on the strength of the electron-phonon coupling and on impurities is pointed out. The theory is applied to optical data in YBa2Cu3O7 using the experimental one-phonon density, the value ofT c and [*=0.25 as inputs. Neglecting anisotropies and the momentum dependence of the electron-phonon coupling the resulting strong-coupling model with 2.9 yields results which are in good agreement with the data, in particular, if impurity scattering is taken into account.  相似文献

运用第一性原理密度泛函理论研究了铁基超导体LiFeAs的电子结构和声子谱.计算得到的LiFeAs基态具有涨落的条型反铁磁构型.通过比较LiFeAs在非磁态与条形反铁磁态下的声子态密度,发现,LiFeAs中各向异性自旋互作用的竞争产生了不稳定的自旋密度波和部分晶格位置弛豫,导致Fe和As原子振动模式的软化,从而提高电声子耦合强度.因此,自旋-声子互作用对非常规超导电性有重要贡献. 关键词: 铁基超导体 反铁磁序 超导电性 电声子耦合  相似文献

We report robust superconducting state and gap symmetry of Nb_5Ir_3O via electrical transport and specific heat measurements. The analysis of specific heat manifests that Nb_5Ir_3O is a strongly coupled superconductor with ?C/γ_nT_c ~ 1.91 and double s-wave superconducting gaps of 2?_L(0)/k_BT_c ~ 6.56 and 2?_S(0)/k_BT_c ~ 2.36 accounting for 90% and 10%,respectively. The(Cp-γnT)/T~3 vs. T plot shows a broad peak at ~ 23 K, indicating phonon softening and the appearance of low-lying phonon mode associated with the interstitial oxygen. This behavior explains the monotonic increase of Tc in Nb_5Ir_3O(1-δ)by strengthening the electron–phonon coupling and enlarging the density of states at Fermi level. The Hall coefficient is temperature independent below 200 K, and changes its sign from positive to negative above 250 K, suggesting that carrier is across the hole-to electron-dominant regions and the multi-band electronic structures. On warming, the resistivity shows a gradual crossover from T~2-to T~3-dependence at a critical temperature T*, and a broad peak at a temperature T_p. The reduced T_c under pressure is linearly correlated with lattice parameters c/a ratio and T_p, suggesting the important phonon contributions in Nb_5Ir_3O as a phonon-medicated superconductor. Possible physical mechanisms are proposed.  相似文献

We perform first-principle phonon calculations for three typical iron-based superconductors, i.e., LaFeAsO,BaFe2As2, and FeSe. Though those crystals have different structures, we find that the optical modes associated with Fe vibration have almost similar characters. Moreover, we examine the pressure effect on phonons in FeSe. By increasing the external pressure, the phonon mode frequency related to Fe vibration effectively rises up and the electronic density of states at Fermi level also increases. These results may correlate to the critical temperature enhancement under high pressure.  相似文献

The second derivative of current—voltage characteristic, d2IdV2, of a small orifice connecting two pieces of normal metals is shown to be proportional to the function G(ω) = α?2(ω)F(ω) at ω = eV, where F(ω) is the phonon density of states, and α&#x0303;2 (ω) the square of the electron—phonon matrix element averaged over the Fermi surface and multiplied by the additional structure factor taking into account the geometry of the orifice. The constriction is shown to work, in a current-carrying state, as a source of non-equilibrium phonons emitted in the immediate vicinity of the orifice.  相似文献

Induced non equilibrium distribution of optical phonons allows direct measurement of electron-phonon coupling as a function of phonon wave-vector K. Results indicate that near K=0(K<20, 000 cm?1 coupling between TO phonons and electrons is independent of K whereas LO phonons show a K-2 dependence. Results also suggest that electron relaxation in the conduction band by multiple phonon production is quite significant.  相似文献

Inelastic neutron scattering measurements have been performed on YMnO3, aiming to study the interplay between spin and lattice degrees of freedom in this hexagonal multiferroic material. Our study provides evidence for a strong coupling between magnons and phonons, evidenced by the opening of a gap below T(N) in the dispersion of the transverse acoustic phonon mode polarized along the ferroelectric axis. The resulting upper phonon branch is found to lock on one of the spin-wave modes. These findings are discussed in terms of a possible hybridization between the two types of elementary excitations.  相似文献

A comparison is made for different semiconductors, of the non equilibrium phonon distributions induced by photon absorption. It is found that energetic carriers create preferentially LO-phonons for GaAs where Fröhlich type interaction dominates. For Si and the intermediate case of InSb the energetic carriers still relax through optical phonons. For InSb LO- and TO-phonons participate in the same proportion. Highest phonon temperatures are obtained in the layer semiconductor GaSe.  相似文献

Using the full Eliashberg equations valid for layered compounds, we calculate the effect of various simple anisotropy models on the critical temperature and thermodynamic properties. For sound frequencies greater than twice the value of the superconducting energy gap it becomes possible to dissipate energy by breaking Cooper pairs. This mechanism is in addition to the usual damping from coupling to the thermally excited quasiparticles. B.C.S. theory predicts a finite discontinuous jump at twice the gap. In a strong coupling superconductor the jump is smeared out because the quasiparticles themselves have a finite lifetime. We have investigated the magnitude of this smearing illustrating the general theory by an explicit calculation for the case of Hg.  相似文献

The effect of the elastic coupling on the penetration depth in ac magnetic field and on the magnetic permeability in layered superconductors is studied. The results obtained show that λ and μ become functions on the coordinate oriented in the magnetic field direction. In addition, the average permeability increases with the increase of the ratio between of the layer thickness and the elastic coupling depths, and decreases with the increase of the ratio between the elastic coupling depths of the two coupled superconductors.  相似文献

Electron and phonon spectra are derived for an electron-phonon system coupled by the Fröhlich interaction. We cover the range from small coupling <1 to large coupling 1 for a commensurate filling of the bare band.
