Based on a new intermediate transformation, a variable-coeFficient hyperbola function method is proposed.Being concise and straightforward, it is applied to the (2 1)-dimensional variable-coeFficient Broer-Kaup system. As a result, several new families of exact soliton-like solutions are obtained, besides the travelling wave. When imposing some conditions on them, the new exact solitary wave solutions of the (2 1)-dimensional Broer Kaup system are given. The method can be applied to other variable-coeFficient nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics.  相似文献

A new general algebraic method is presented to uniformly construct a series of exact solutions for nonlinear evolution equations (NLEEs). For illustration, we apply the new method to shallow long wave approximate equations and successfully obtain abundant new exact solutions, which include rational solitary wave solutions and rational triangular periodic wave solutions. The method is straightforward and concise, and it can also be applied to other nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics.  相似文献

From the nonlinear sine-Gordon equation, new transformations are obtained in this paper, which are applied to propose a new approach to construct exact periodic solutions to nonlinear wave equations. It is shown that more new periodic solutions can be obtained by this new approach, and more shock wave solutions or solitary wave solutions can be got under their limit conditions.  相似文献

In terms of the solutions of the generalized Riccati equation, a new algebraic method, which contains the terms of radical expression of functions f(ξ), is constructed to explore the new exact solutions for nonlinear evolution equations. Making use of a new generalized ansatze and a proper transformation, we generalized the extended tanh-function method. Applying the generalized method with the aid of Maple, we consider some nonlinear evolution equations.As a result, we can successfully recover the previously known solitary wave solutions that had been found by the extendedtanh-function method and other more sophisticated methods. More importantly, for some equations, we also obtain othernew and more general solutions at the same time.
