The article investigates the geography of closed, connected and simply connected, six-dimensional manifolds. It is proved that any triple of integers satisfying some necessary arithmetical restrictions occurs as the Chern triple of such a manifold. The algorithm is a structure-preserving algorithm for computing the spectrum of symplectic matrices. Any symplectic matrix can be reduced to symplectic butterfly form. A symplectic matrix in butterfly form is uniquely determined by parameters. Using these parameters, we show how one step of the symplectic algorithm for can be carried out in arithmetic operations compared to arithmetic operations when working on the actual symplectic matrix. Moreover, the symplectic structure, which will be destroyed in the numerical process due to roundoff errors when working with a symplectic (butterfly) matrix, will be forced by working just with the parameters.

Assume is a connected, compact 6-dimensional symplectic manifold equipped with a semi-free Hamiltonian circle action, such that the fixed point set consists of isolated points or compact orientable surfaces. We restrict attention to the case . We give a complete list of the possible manifolds, and determine their equivariant cohomology rings and equivariant Chern classes. Some of these manifolds are classified up to diffeomorphism. We also show the existence for a few cases.

Symplectic spinors were introduced by B. Kostant in [4] in the context of geometric quantization. This paper presents further considerations concerning symplectic spinors. We define the spinor derivative induced by a symplectic covariant derivative. We compute an explicit formula for this spinor derivative and prove some elementary properties. This makes it possible to define the symplectic Dirac operator in a canonical way. In case of a symplectic and torsion-free covariant derivative it turns out to be formally selfadjoint.  相似文献

Analytic continuation is proved for certain Eisenstein series on the symplectic group which are associated with nonparabolic forms. Let F be a p-adic field. If n is a natural number relatively prime to p, then all the irreducible n-dimensional Galois representations are parametrized by admissible characters. We study the geometry of manifolds carrying symplectic pairs consisting of two closed -forms of constant ranks, whose kernel foliations are complementary. Using a variation of the construction of Boothby and Wang we build contact-symplectic and contact pairs from symplectic pairs.
