New results of the neutron-induced fission experiments carried out at the neutron time-of-flight spectrometer GNEIS of the PNPI are given. Angular distributions of fission fragments from the neutron-induced fission of 233U and 209Bi nuclei have been measured in the energy range 1–200 MeV using position sensitive multiwire proportional counters as fission fragment detector. The recent improvements of the measurement and data processing procedures are described. The data on anisotropy of fission fragments deduced from the measured angular distributions are presented in comparison with the experimental data of other authors. 相似文献

The total cross-section for the {-}n {-}{-}p reaction has been measured at a pion kinetic energy of 430MeV in a deuterium bubble chamber. The cross-section value was found to be 0.197±0.016mb that is much smaller than the predictions of the chiral perturbation theory. The differential spectra are compared with calculations made in the framework of the model of Bolokhov et al. 13.60.LeMeson production [:AND:]13.85.LgTotal cross-sections 相似文献

The 19F-13C heteronuclear single quantum coherence (HSQC) experiment is vital for the structural elucidation of polyfluorinated organic species, yet its sensitivity and phaseability are limited by difficulties in uniform excitation of the widely disperse 19F spectral window. Adiabatic pulses of different types have previously been employed to generate effective π pulses for inversion and refocussing, but a systematic comparison of various adiabatic and other inversion pulses has not been published. In this work, it was observed that the use of a broadband inversion pulse (BIP) during the t 1 evolution period resulted in properly phaseable spectra for experiments optimized to detect 1 J CF, in contrast to CHIRP or WURST adiabatic pulses. For the INEPT and reverse-INEPT transfer segments of the HSQC, optimal sensitivity for resonances distant from the transmitter frequency was afforded by optimized universal rotation (BURBOP) or CHIRP pulses. In HSQC experiments with delays optimized for two-bond correlations, only the use of BURBOP pulses in INEPT and reverse-INEPT sequences afforded spectra cleanly phaseable across the F 2 and F 1 spectral windows. The relative method was used to measure the photofission cross sections for 243Cm and 249Cf isotopes in the energy range from 6 to 12 MeV, for 245Cm in the energy range from 5 to 10 MeV, and for 249Bk in the energy range from 5.5 to 10 MeV. The measurements were performed with an energy step of 50 to 200 keV by using the microtron installed at the Institute of Physics and Power Engineering (Obninsk). The cross section for 238U photofission was used as a reference in these measurements. Data on the cross sections for 243Cm, 245Cm, and 249Bk photofission were obtained for the first time, while data on the cross section for 249Cf photofission were obtained for the first time only in the energyregion E<10 MeV. The data on the 245Cm nucleus suggest that, in the energy region around 6 MeV, the cross section for its photofission has a maximum, which is likely to be due to the low-energy resonance structure of the dipole-photoabsorption cross section. For 249Cf, an anomalously large value of the photo fission cross section is observed in the region of the first maximum of the giant dipole resonance (E≈11 MeV). By comparing the energy dependences obtained for the fissilities of the 243Cm and 249Bk isotopes from photofission data with the fissilities from direct-reaction data, it is found that the observed fission thresholds agree and that there is a plateau-like dependence at energies above 7.5 MeV. For the 245Cm and 249Cf nuclei, there are no similar data for performing such a comparison. Data on the fissilities as obtained from the present series of relative measurements that employ the microtron bremsstrahlung spectrum are analyzed. 相似文献

The gamma decay of resonance-like structure (RLS) observed in the 25Mg(p, γ)26Al reaction in the region of excitation energies of 7–9 MeV is studied, and the excitation function of this reaction is measured. The resonance transition strengths of states in the 1.4–2.0 MeV range of accelerated proton energies are determined. The resulting strength distributions of M1 transitions between the resonance states and the low-lying bound states in 26Al are of a resonance nature. The position of the center of gravity of magnetic dipole resonance for the ground state in 26Al is 7.92 MeV, and the total MDR transition strength is 5.7 MeV × μ N 2 . 相似文献

The cross section of the reaction D(4He, γ)6Li with titanium and zirconium deuterides as targets is measured for incident 4He+ ion energies of 30 and 36 keV, respectively. The ion beam is generated by a Hall pulsed plasma accelerator. For the first time, upper limits on the cross section of the reaction D(4He, γ)6Li at ultralow energies are imposed (at 90% confidence level): σ ≤ 1.2 × 10?35 cm2 for the TiD2 target and E(4He+) = 30 keV, and σ ≤ 7 × 10?36 cm2 for the ZrD2 target and E(4He+) = 36 keV 相似文献

The difference in the 332-and 326-keV transition energies from 178Ta decay is measured with a magnetic β spectrometer and a γ spectrometer. The energy of the 332-keV transition (E(332) = 331 607 ± 4 eV) and the energy of the 8 2 ? 1479-keV level in 178Hf (E(1479) = 1479001 ± 6 eV) are determined with high accuracy. 相似文献

The induction and repair of DNA double-strand breaks are studied using the immunohistochemical staining procedure of paraffin-embedded rat cerebellum tissues after exposure to γ-rays of 60Co. The dose dependence of radiation-induced colocalized γH2AX/53BP1 foci is studied and its linear character is established. The orthogonality condition model (OCM) is used to describe α+16O scattering at low energies. A double folding potential with density-dependent effective NN interactions is used as the local potential of the model. The energies and widths of α-cluster resonances and differential cross sections are calculated. The excitation function for the 40Ar(pγ)41K reaction at the accelerated proton energy E p= 450–2700 keV is studied. Positions of 168 resonances identified as levels of the 41K nucleus are observed in this energy range. The data for the proton energy E p < 1 MeV and E p > 2 MeV are obtained for the first time. Relative yields of γ rays observed in the decay of the resonances are calculated from a comparison with the yield of the calibrating resonance at E p= 1102 keV. Total radiation widths of the resonances are calculated on the basis of the data obtained. 相似文献

The excitation function and angular distributions of elastic α-particle scattering on 28Si have been measured in the laboratory energy range 6-28 MeV using a backscattering technique on a thick target, yielding
a continuous energy distribution. More than 200 narrow states are observed, with widths in the range ∼ 30-100 keV at excitation
energies E
* = 13-32 MeV. Angular distributions at backward angles were measured, and angular momentum values of more than 83 states have
been deduced. The analysis gives spin-parities J
π, α-partial widths Γα and reduced widths of the narrow high-lying resonant states in 32S. The experimentally observed states display both the negative- and the positive-parity rotational-like sequences with seemingly
no parity splitting, a finding which is at variance with most potential-model predictions. The deduced effective moment of
inertia indicates a more extended structure than the ground-state configuration. The observed strength of each ℓ-value is
analyzed in terms of an underlying split doorway state of Lorentzian form, which yields an interpretation as fragmented rotational
α + 28Si states.

An accurate calculation of the lowest negative electronic state of H
2
-
(fixed nuclei) is reported using the CCSD(T) method and doubly augmented cc-pv5z basis set. Comparison has been made with the reference data by Senekowitsch et al. [Chem. Phys. Lett. 111 (1984) 211]. Owing to larger size of the basisset and inclusion of triple excitations, no vertical shift in this work is necessary to reproduce the asymptotics of H + H -. In addition, the effect of basis-set truncation is estimated, based on the complete-basis-set extrapolation method. The contribution of correlated electron-proton motion to the electron-energy curve for H2

The contributions of various mechanisms to the production of the final nucleus 12C in the reaction 13C(3He, α)12C are estimated. These are neutron stripping and the transfer of the heavy cluster 9Be in the pole approximation or via a sequential transfer of virtual 8Be and a neutron. In this paper, we present the results of our investigation of reaction dynamics leading to incomplete fusion of heavy ions
at moderate excitation energies, especially the influence of incomplete fusion on complete fusion of 12C -induced reactions at specific energies ≈ 4–7.2M eV/nucleon. Excitation functions of various reaction products populated
via complete and/or incomplete fusions of a 12C projectile with 93Nb, 59Co and 52Cr targets were measured at several specific energies ≈ 4–7.2 MeV/nucleon, using a recoil catcher technique, followed by off-line
γ-ray spectrometry. The measured excitation functions were compared with theoretical values obtained using the PACE4 statistical
model code. For representative non-α-emitting channels in the 12C + 93Nb system, the experimentally measured excitation functions were, in general, found to be in good agreement with the theoretical
predictions. However, for α-emitting channels in the 12C + 93Nb, 12C + 59Co, and 12C + 52Cr systems, the measured excitation functions were higher than the predictions of the theoretical model code, which may be
credited to incomplete fusion reactions at these energies. An attempt was made to estimate the incomplete fusion fraction
for the present systems, which revealed that the fraction was sensitive to the projectile energy and mass asymmetry of the

An Antarctic balloon experiment for measuring the energy spectrum and elemental composition of cosmic rays in the ultrahigh-energy range (1018–1020) eV is proposed. Scientific equipment will measure fluorescence caused by an extensive air shower formed in the atmosphere by an ultrahigh energy particle and Cherenkov light of this shower reflected from a snow surface. It is assumed that the balloon will fly in the circumpolar orbit in Antarctica at a height of ~25 km for (2–3) winter (in the Southern Hemisphere)months. For this time, ~3000 events caused by particles with energies above 1018 eV and (200–300) events caused by particles with energies above 1019 eV will be detected. 相似文献

The 1/2+ ground state and a 11/2- isomer of very neutron-deficient isotope 143Dy were produced by irradiation of an enriched target of 106Cd with 40Ca and studied by using a helium-jet fast tape-transport system in combination with proton-γ, X-γ and γ-γ coincidence measurements.
A simple ( EC + β+) decay scheme of 143mDy with a half-life of 3.0(3) s and a tentative ( EC + β+) decay scheme of 143gDy with a half-life of 5.6(10) s are proposed. As a by-product, the 347- and 545-keV γ transitions in 138Sm following the β-delayed proton emission of 139Gd decay and the 323-keV γ transition in 139Eu following the β-delayed proton emission of 140Tb decay could be observed for the first time.
