The long time behavior of solution of the Hasegawa-Mima equation with dissipation term was considered. The global attractor problem of the Hasegawa-Mima equation with initial periodic boundary condition was studied. Applying the uniform a priori estimates method, the existence of global attractor of this problem was proved, and also the dimensions of the global attractor was estimated.  相似文献

In this paper we show that the weak solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations on any bounded, smooth three-dimensional domain have a global attractor for any positive value of the viscosity. The proof of this result, which bypasses the two issues of the possible nonuniqueness of the weak solutions and the possible lack of global regularity of the strong solutions, is based on a new point of view for the construction of the semiflow generated by these equations. We also show that, under added assumptions, this global attractor consists entirely of strong solutions.  相似文献

The Cahn–Hilliard–Navier–Stokes system is based on a well-known diffuse interface model and describes the evolution of an incompressible isothermal mixture of binary fluids. A nonlocal variant consists of the Navier–Stokes equations suitably coupled with a nonlocal Cahn–Hilliard equation. The authors, jointly with P. Colli, have already proven the existence of a global weak solution to a nonlocal Cahn–Hilliard–Navier–Stokes system subject to no-slip and no-flux boundary conditions. Uniqueness is still an open issue even in dimension two. However, in this case, the energy identity holds. This property is exploited here to define, following J.M. Ball’s approach, a generalized semiflow which has a global attractor. Through a similar argument, we can also show the existence of a (connected) global attractor for the convective nonlocal Cahn–Hilliard equation with a given velocity field, even in dimension three. Finally, we demonstrate that any weak solution fulfilling the energy inequality also satisfies a dissipative estimate. This allows us to establish the existence of the trajectory attractor also in dimension three with a time dependent external force.  相似文献

This paper addresses the regularity and finite dimensionality of the global attractor for the plate equation on the unbounded domain. The existence of the attractor in the phase space has been established in an earlier work of the author. The dissipative quantum Zakharov equations are mainly studied. The existence and uniqueness of the solutions for the dissipative quantum Zakharov equations are proved by the standard Galerkin approximation method on the basis of a priori estimate. Meanwhile, the asymptotic behavior of solutions and the global attractor which is constructed in the energy space equipped with the weak topology are also investigated.  相似文献

We consider the Navier–Stokes equations in a thin domain of which the top and bottom surfaces are not flat. The velocity fields are subject to the Navier conditions on those boundaries and the periodicity condition on the other sides of the domain. This toy model arises from studies of climate and oceanic flows. We show that the strong solutions exist for all time provided the initial data belong to a “large” set in the Sobolev space H 1. Furthermore we show, for both the autonomous and the nonautonomous problems, the existence of a global attractor for the class of all strong solutions. This attractor is proved to be also the global attractor for the Leray–Hopf weak solutions of the Navier–Stokes equations. One issue that arises here is a nontrivial contribution due to the boundary terms. We show how the boundary conditions imposed on the velocity fields affect the estimates of the Stokes operator and the (nonlinear) inertial term in the Navier–Stokes equations. This results in a new estimate of the trilinear term, which in turn permits a short and simple proof of the existence of strong solutions for all time.  相似文献

The global behavior of the Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation is studied. The existence of an absorbing ball in every Sobolev norm is proved. The transition of energy from low modes to high ones is observed. An upper estimate for the Hausdorff dimension of the attractor is given. We considered the longtime behavior of solutions of a coupled lattice dynamical system of Klein-Gordon-Schroedinger equation (KGS lattice system). We first proved the existence of a global attractor for the system considered here by introducing an equivalent norm and using "End Tails" of solutions. Then we estimated the upper bound of the Kolmogorov delta-entropy of the global attractor by applying element decomposition and the covering property of a polyhedron by balls of radii delta in the finite dimensional space. Finally, we presented an approximation to the global attractor by the global attractors of finite-dimensional ordinary differential systems.  相似文献

We are concerned with the asymptotic behavior of a solution to the initial value problem for a system of hyperbolic conservation laws coupled with elliptic equations. This kind of problem was first considered in our previous paper. In the present paper, we generalize the previous results to a broad class of hyperbolic-elliptic coupled systems. Assuming the existence of the entropy function and the stability condition, we prove the global existence and the asymptotic decay of the solution for small initial data in a suitable Sobolev space. Then, it is shown that the solution is well approximated, for large time, by a solution to the corresponding hyperbolic-parabolic coupled system. The first result is proved by deriving a priori estimates through the standard energy method. The spectral analysis with the aid of the a priori estimate gives the second result.  相似文献

This paper deals with damped transverse vibrations of elastically coupled double-beam system under even compressive axial loading. Each beam is assumed to be elastic, extensible and supported at the ends. The related stationary problem is proved to admit both unimodal (only one eigenfunction is involved) and bimodal (two eigenfunctions are involved) buckled solutions, and their number depends on structural parameters and applied axial loads. The occurrence of a so complex structure of the steady states motivates a global analysis of the longtime dynamics. In this regard, we are able to prove the existence of a global regular attractor of solutions. When a finite set of stationary solutions occurs, it consists of the unstable manifolds connecting them.  相似文献

We consider scalar reaction-diffusion equations with non-dissipative nonlinearities generating global semiflows which exhibit blow-up in infinite time. This type of equations was only recently approached and the corresponding dynamical systems are known as slowly non-dissipative systems. The existence of unbounded solutions, referred to as grow-up solutions, requires the introduction of some objects interpreted as equilibria at infinity. By extending known results, we are able to obtain a complete decomposition of the associated non-compact global attractor. The connecting orbit structure is determined based on the Sturm permutation method, which yields a simple criterion for the existence of heteroclinic connections.  相似文献

This paper addresses the long-time behaviour of gradient flows of nonconvex functionals in Hilbert spaces. Exploiting the notion of generalized semiflows by J. M. Ball, we provide some sufficient conditions for the existence of a global attractor. The abstract results are applied to various classes of nonconvex evolution problems. We first present some sufficient conditions for the existence and the construction of a pullback exponential attractor for the continuous process (non-autonomous dynamical system) on Banach spaces and weighted spaces of infinite sequences. Then we apply our results to study the existence of pullback exponential attractors for first order non-autonomous differential equations and partly dissipative differential equations on infinite lattices with time-dependent coupled coefficients and time-dependent external terms in weighted spaces.  相似文献

An abstract framework for studying the asymptotic behavior of a dissipative evolutionary system with respect to weak and strong topologies was introduced in Cheskidov and Foias (J Differ Equ 231:714–754, 2006) primarily to study the long-time behavior of the 3D Navier-Stokes equations (NSE) for which the existence of a semigroup of solution operators is not known. Each evolutionary system possesses a global attractor in the weak topology, but does not necessarily in the strong topology. In this paper we study the structure of a global attractor for an abstract evolutionary system, focusing on omega-limits and attracting, invariant, and quasi-invariant sets. We obtain weak and strong uniform tracking properties of omega-limits and global attractors. In addition, we discuss a trajectory attractor for an evolutionary system and derive a condition under which the convergence to the trajectory attractor is strong.  相似文献

A class of periodic initial value problems for two-dimensional Newton- Boussinesq equations are investigated in this paper. The Newton-Boussinesq equations are turned into the equivalent integral equations. With iteration methods, the local existence of the solutions is obtained.
