Materials from the Mn(0.5−x)CaxTi2(PO4)3 (0≤x≤0.50) solid solution were obtained by solid-state reaction in air at 1000 °C. Selected compositions were investigated by powder X-ray diffraction analysis, 31P nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and electrochemical lithium intercalation. The structure of all samples determined by Rietveld analysis is of the Nasicon type with the R space group. Mn2+/Ca2+ ions occupy only the M1 sites in the Ti2(PO4)3 framework. The divalent cations are ordered in one of two M1 sites, except for the Mn0.50Ti2(PO4)3 phase, where a small departure from the ideal order is observed by XRD and 31P MAS NMR. The electrochemical behaviour of Mn0.50Ti2(PO4)3 and Mn(0.5−x)CaxTi2(PO4)3 phases was characterised in Li cells. Two Li ions can be inserted without altering the Ti2(PO4)3 framework. In the 0≤y≤2 range, the OCV curves of Li//LiyMn0.50Ti2(PO4)3 cells show two main potential plateaus at 2.90 and 2.50–2.30 V. Comparison between the OCV curves of Li//Li(1+y)Ti2(PO4)3 and Li//LiyMn0.50Ti2(PO4)3 shows that the intercalation occurs first in the unoccupied M1 site of Mn0.50Ti2(PO4)3 at 2.90 V and then, for compositions y>0.50, at the M2 site (2.50–2.30 V voltage range). The effect of calcium substitution in Mn0.50Ti2(PO4)3 on the lithium intercalation is also discussed from a structural and kinetic viewpoint. In all systems, the lithium intercalation is associated with a redistribution of the divalent cation over all M1 sites. In the case of Mn0.50Ti2(PO4)3, the stability of Mn2+ either in an octahedral or tetrahedral environment facilitates cationic migration.  相似文献

The magnetic phase diagram of the FexCo1−xyNiyS2 system was determined. Ferromagnetic (F)-, antiferromagnetic (AF )- and paramagnetic (P) phases were found. In the triangular diagram, the F-phase appears along the CoS2-FeS2 line, the AF-phase around NiS2 and the P-phase between the F- and AF-phases. Discussions are given on the F-phase.  相似文献

It was demonstrated that spray pyrolysis can be used to prepare Ce1−xZrxO2 thin films with x between 0 and 1. The composition of these films was determined by electron probe microanalysis (EPMA), and the crystalline structure by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy (RS). Cyclic voltammetry (CV) was performed in an electrolyte of propylene carbonate with 1 M LiClO4. Films with high Zr content were incapable of charge exchange of Li+ ions. In the contrast, films with high Ce content were found to be able to insert/extract large charge densities of Li+ ions. They also remained transparent during Li+ intercalation.  相似文献

The crystal structure and properties of La1 − xSrxCoO3 − y with strontium contents ranging from x = 0.1 to x = 0.7 have been studied. The lattice parameters were measured as a function of temperature (4.2–400 K) and the crystal structure was found to change from rhombohedral (at low temperatures and values of x) to cubic. While LaCoO3 is paramagnetic the oxides in the composition range 0.2 < x < 0.6 are soft ferromagnets. The strontium additions are compensated by the formation of Co4+ (cobalt ions with one positive effective charge, CoCo.) and oxygen vacancies (Vo..). From the results it is concluded that the relative importance of oxygen vacancies increases with increasing temperature and decreasing oxygen activity. As a result the concentration of electronic charge carriers — and the resultant electrical conductivity — decrease with increasing temperature. The defect structure is discussed and it is concluded that defect associations — probably between oxygen vacancies and strontium ions — and formation of microdomains of perovskite-related phases are important aspects of the overall structure of these perovskite phases.  相似文献

We have studied the superconducting properties of Nd(Ba1−xNdx)2Cu3O7−δ (Nd123, x ≈ 0.1) single crystals grown by the traveling-solvent floating-zone method under 0.1% O2 in Ar atmosphere. The enhancement of the magnetization with increasing field is observed in the hysteresis (M-H) loop in fields both parallel and perpendicular to the c-axis of the Nd123 single crystals as well as in the bulk crystals prepared by the oxygen-controlled-melt-growth (OCMG) method. The composition variation of Ba/Nd is observed in the matrix of Nd123 crystals by an analytical TEM equipped with a cold field-emission gun. It turns out that the enhancement is due to the field-induced pinning effect ascribed to the weak superconducting Nd---Ba substitution regions in the Nd123 matrix.  相似文献

Single-phase polycrystalline samples of Bi1−xNdxFeO3 were prepared by standard solid state reaction method. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns of the powder samples were recorded and analyzed for the confirmation of crystal structure lattice parameters. Further, these samples were characterized by IR technique to identify and understand the aspect of bonding in the present samples. The dielectric measurements were carried out on the samples as a function of frequency in the range 100 Hz to 1 MHz at room temperature and also as a function of temperature in the range 300–750 K at certain fixed frequencies. The DC and AC electrical resistivity studies were carried out in order to understand conduction mechanism in the samples.  相似文献

Rapid changes of oxygen partial pressure (PO2) between 103 and 2.1×104 Pa have been carried out during steady-state plastic deformation of polycrystalline YBa2Cu3O7−x (YBCO) at temperatures between 825 and 900°C. Transient creep was observed after such PO2 changes. The analysis of these creep transients allowed the determination of the chemical diffusion coefficient for reequilibration, which is identical to that found from thermogravimetry and electrical conductivity experiments for oxygen vacancies.  相似文献

Structure, Curie temperature and magnetostriction of RFex (1.6 x 2.0) and R(Fe1−yTiy)1.8 (y 0.2) alloys (R=Dy0.65Tb0.25Pr0.1) have been investigated using optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction, AC initial susceptibility and standard strain gauge techniques. The homogenized RFex alloys are found to be essentially single phase in the range of 1.8 x 1.85. The second phase is a rare-earth-rich phase when x 1.8, and (Dy, Tb, Pr)Fe3 phase when x 1.85. X-ray diffraction indicates that the R(Fe1−yTiy)1.8 alloys contain a small amount of Fe2Ti phase when y 0.05, which increases with the increment of Ti content. The Curie temperature of R(Fe1yTiy)1.8 alloys slightly enhances with increasing Ti concentration when y 0.05, then remains almost unchanged in the range of 0.05 y 0.20. The magnetostriction of RFex alloys is improved when x 1.80 and reduced by increasing Fe content when x 1.85. The magnetostriction of R(Fe1−yTiy)1.8 alloys is lowered by increasing Ti content.  相似文献

Highly strained quantum cascade laser (QCL) and quantum well infrared photodetector (QWIPs) structures based on InxGa(1−x)As−InyAl(1−y)As (x>0.8,y<0.3) layers have been grown by molecular beam epitaxy. Conditions of exact stoichiometric growth were used at a temperature of 420°C to produce structures that are suitable for both emission and detection in the 2–5 μm mid-infrared regime. High structural integrity, as assessed by double crystal X-ray diffraction, room temperature photoluminescence and electrical characteristics were observed. Strong room temperature intersubband absorption in highly tensile strained and strain-compensated In0.84Ga0.16As/AlAs/In0.52Al0.48As double barrier quantum wells grown on InP substrates is demonstrated. Γ–Γ intersubband transitions have been observed across a wide range of the mid-infrared spectrum (2–7 μm) in three structures of differing In0.84Ga0.16As well width (30, 45, and 80 Å). We demonstrate short-wavelength IR, intersubband operation in both detection and emission for application in QC and QWIP structures. By pushing the InGaAs–InAlAs system to its ultimate limit, we have obtained the highest band offsets that are theoretically possible in this system both for the Γ–Γ bands and the Γ–X bands, thereby opening up the way for both high power and high efficiency coupled with short-wavelength operation at room temperature. The versatility of this material system and technique in covering a wide range of the infrared spectrum is thus demonstrated.  相似文献

The cubic Laves phase compound Ce(Fe0.95Al0.05)2 exhibits a first order magnetic phase transition from antiferromagnetic to ferromagnetic state at ≈ 100 K with increasing temperature. Anomalies are found in the near-band-edge luminescence properties of Δ2-light-hole indirect excitons in Si1−yCy-based tensilely strained quantum wells (QWs). The experimental spectra exhibit a clear signature of phonon-assisted transitions on the lower energy side of the “no-phonon” transition, which indicates the relevance of “virtual” indirect valleys and in-plane k-dispersion, as opposed to the theoretical prediction that the zone-centered Δ2 valleys take over the conduction band edge. Intervalley scattering between [0 0 1]-Δ2 valleys and in-plane Δ4 valleys is suggested as the underlying mechanism. On the other hand, the experimental evidence was found for “apparently enhanced” quantum-confined Stark red shifts for Si1−yCy-based QWs. However, quantitative estimates are in conflict with the experimental results and predict a blue shift due to exciton weakening which masks the Stark effect as in the case of Δ4-heavy hole excitons in Si1−xGex-based QWs.  相似文献

We present the results of lattice parameters at room temperature, the static magnetic susceptibility and the magnetic resistivity between 1.8 and 300 K, and the low-temperature specific-heat measurements for the series Ce(Pt1−xPdx)Ga, (x=0.0, 0.2, 0.5, 0.8 and 1.0). Two maxima in the temperature dependence of the magnetic resistive curve for each sample are observed, one above 100 K, and another at around 4 K, which due to an interplay between crystal-field effect and the Kondo effect. As determined from the peak values of the temperature dependence of the specific heat data C(T), all samples exhibit antiferromagnetic ordering from 1.3 K for CePdGa to 3.4 K for CePtGa. The large reduction of entropy for each sample below TN is associated with the Kondo effect.  相似文献

Magnetic transitions in La(Fe1−xCox)11.4Si1.6 compounds with x=0–0.08, have been studied by DC magnetic measurements and Mössbauer spectroscopy. The temperature dependence of the Landau coefficients has been derived by fitting the magnetization, M0H), using the Landau expansion of the magnetic free energy. For x0.02 there is a strongly first-order magnetic phase transition between ferromagnetic and paramagnetic (F–P) states in zero external field and a metamagnetic transition from paramagnetic to ferromagnetic (P–F) above Tc. Increasing the cobalt content drives the F–P transition towards second order and eliminates the metamagnetic transition.  相似文献

The neutron diffraction and magnetic susceptibility studies have shown that the magnetic structure of UPd2Ge2 changes dramatically even under very low iron doping. Though the general magnetic structure of pure UPd2Ge2 and of 1%Fe-doped samples is the same, the temperature intervals of existence of different magnetic phases are different. The values of transition temperatures, where (i) the ‘square’ modulated longitudinal spin-density wave (LSDW) structure with the propagation vector k=(0; 0; ) starts to transform into the sinusoidal modulated LSDW structure and (ii) the commensurate phase transforms into incommensurate one, shift under the 1%Fe doping to the higher temperatures (from 50 to 65 K and from 80 to 90 K, respectively). In the pure and 1%Fe-doped UPd2Ge2, the magnetic transition from the commensurate to incommensurate phase is accompanied by the drastic decrease of the propagation vector kz. In the 2%Fe-doped sample, besides the Néel point of TN=135 K, we have found two additional characteristic temperatures of 65 and 93 K. Below 65 K, the material has a simple antiferromagnetic (AF) structure with the propagation vector k=(0; 0; 1) and, at 65 K<T<TN, the magnetic structure is LSDW with sinusoidal modulation. Over almost the total region 65 K<T<TN, the LSDW magnetic structure is incommensurate. Only at about 93 K, the propagation vector passes the commensurate value of , whereas at 65<T<93 K and at 93 K<T<TN. We have found that the magnetic susceptibility and the uranium magnetic moment are sensitive to the transition. With increasing iron concentration to x0.15, the simple AF structure with k=(0; 0; 1) develops over all temperature region up to the Néel point. Below TN, the uranium magnetic moments are always parallel to the tetragonal c-axis.  相似文献

Experimental evidence shows that in the magnetoresistive manganite Ca1−xYxMnO3, ferromagnetic (FM) polarons arises in an antiferromagnetic (AF) background, as a result of the doping with yttrium. This hypothesis is supported in this work by classical Monte Carlo calculations performed on a model where FM double exchange and AF superexchange compete.  相似文献

In this paper, we present our recent experimental results of magnetic and transport properties of Gd1−xLaxMn2Ge2 intermetallic compounds with the ThCr2Si2-type layered structure. The results obtained indicate that, in GdMn2Ge2, a first-order transition from a collinear antiferromagnetic to a collinear ferrimagnetic state appears with decreasing temperature at Tt3, below the Néel temperature TN. In Gd1−xLaxMn2Ge2 compounds with x=0.05 and 0.075, after ordering ferrimagnetically at Tt1, two kinds of first-order transitions from a canted ferrimagnetic to a non-collinear antiferromagnetic state and from a non-collinear antiferromagnetic to a reentrant canted ferrimagnetic state occur at Tt2 and Tt3. In Gd0.925La0.075Mn2Ge2, a field-induced metamagnetic transition from non-collinear antiferromagnetism to canted ferrimagnetism occurs at relatively low fields, accompanied by fractal like multi-step transitions, the so called “devil's stair-case”. Furthermore, a negative giant magnetoresistance (GMR) effect (Δρ/ρ15%) was observed at the field-induced metamagnetic transition. The mechanism of this negative GMR was clarified by comprehensive measurements of the resistivity on single crystals Gd0.925La0.075Mn2Ge2 and TbMn2Ge2. With further increasing x, only canted ferrimagnetism appears with a compensation temperature for 0.10<x<0.40, whereas no compensation behavior appears for x>0.50. The phase diagram obtained indicates that the overall magnetism is controlled by the Mn–Mn intralayer distance in the tetragonal c-plane, reflecting the two-dimensional arrangement of Mn atoms.  相似文献

The polarized Raman spectra of Nd1+xBa2−xCu3O7−δ (−0.023≤x≤0.107) and Pr1+xBa2−xCu3O7−δ (0.01≤x≤0.15) single crystals have been investigated. It was found that the Cu(2) Ag mode softens by 6 cm−1 in Nd 1:2:3 and 4 cm−1 in Pr 1:2:3 as x increases. These frequency shifts cannot be explained by the change in the relevant bond lengths due to Nd(Pr)-substitution for Ba. The variations with x of the two low frequency modes may be affected by change of their hybridization and/or change of their force constants. The linewidths of Ba mode in Pr 1:2:3 are broader than those in Y 1:2:3. This result suggests that the Pr substitution on Ba sites occurred even in a very small value of x. In x(yy) geometry the relative intensity of the Ba and O(4) modes in Nd 1:2:3 is greater than those in Pr 1:2:3. The difference between Nd 1:2:3 and Pr 1:2:3 in the relative intensity of the Ba and O(4) modes may be produced by the chains.  相似文献
