We consider the class of elliptic functions whose critical points in the Julia set are eventually mapped onto ∞. This paper is a continuation of our previous papers, namely [11] and [12]. We study the geometry and ergodic properties of this class of elliptic functions. In particular, we obtain a lower bound on the Hausdorff dimension of the Julia set that is bigger than the estimate proved in [11]. Let h be the Hausdorff dimension of the Julia set of f. We construct an atomless h-conformal measure m and prove the existence of a (unique up to a multiplicative constant) σ-finite f-invariant measure μ equivalent to m. The measure μ is ergodic and conservative.  相似文献

We explore the class of elliptic functions whose critical points all contained in the Julia set are non-recurrent and whose ω-limit sets form compact subsets of the complex plane. In particular, this class comprises hyperbolic, subhyperbolic and parabolic elliptic maps. Leth be the Hausdorff dimension of the Julia set of such an elliptic functionf. We construct an atomlessh-conformal measurem and show that theh-dimensional Hausdorff measure of the Julia set off vanishes unless the Julia set is equal to the entire complex plane ℂ. Theh-dimensional packing measure is positive and is finite if and only if there are no rationally indifferent periodic points. Furthermore, we prove the existence of a (unique up to a multiplicative constant) σ-finitef-invariant measure μ equivalent tom. The measure μ is shown to be ergodic and conservative, and we identify the set of points whose open neighborhoods all have infinite measure μ. In particular, we show that ∞ is not among them. For a generalized polynomial-like mapping we prove the existence of an invariant ergodic measure equivalent to the harmonic measure on the Julia set J( f). We also prove that for polynomial-like mappings the harmonic measure is equivalent to the maximal entropy measure iff f is conformally equivalent to a polynomial. Next, we show that the Hausdorff dimension of harmonic measure on the Julia set of a generalized polynomial-like map is strictly smaller than 1 unless the Julia set is connected. We deal with all the maps from the exponential family f ε(z) = (e −1 + ε)exp(z), with ε ≥ 0. Let h ε = HD(J r) be the Hausdorff dimension of the radial Julia sets J r. Observing the phenomenon of parabolic implosion, it is shown that the function ε ↦ h ε is not continuous from the right.  We discuss properties of the Julia and Fatou sets of Weierstrass elliptic ℘ functions arising from real lattices. We give sufficient conditions for the Julia sets to be the whole sphere and for the maps to be ergodic, exact, and conservative. We also give examples for which the Julia set is not the whole sphere. We study finitely generated expanding semigroups of rational maps with overlaps on the Riemann sphere. We show that if a dd-parameter family of such semigroups satisfies the transversality condition, then for almost every parameter value the Hausdorff dimension of the Julia set is the minimum of 2 and the zero of the pressure function. Moreover, the Hausdorff dimension of the exceptional set of parameters is estimated. We also show that if the zero of the pressure function is greater than 22, then typically the 2-dimensional Lebesgue measure of the Julia set is positive. Some sufficient conditions for a family to satisfy the transversality conditions are given. We give non-trivial examples of families of semigroups of non-linear polynomials with the transversality condition for which the Hausdorff dimension of the Julia set is typically equal to the zero of the pressure function and is less than 22. We also show that a family of small perturbations of the Sierpinski gasket system satisfies that for a typical parameter value, the Hausdorff dimension of the Julia set (limit set) is equal to the zero of the pressure function, which is equal to the similarity dimension. Combining the arguments on the transversality condition, thermodynamical formalisms and potential theory, we show that for each a∈CaC with |a|≠0,1|a|0,1, the family of small perturbations of the semigroup generated by {z2,az2}{z2,az2} satisfies that for a typical parameter value, the 2-dimensional Lebesgue measure of the Julia set is positive.  相似文献

 We consider the exit measure of super Brownian motion with a stable branching mechanism of a smooth domain D of ℝ d . We derive lower bounds for the hitting probability of small balls for the exit measure and upper bounds in the critical dimension. This completes results given by Sheu [22] and generalizes the results of Abraham and Le Gall [2]. Because of the links between exits measure and partial differential equations, those results imply bounds on solutions of elliptic semi-linear PDE. We also give the Hausdorff dimension of the support of the exit measure and show it is totally disconnected in high dimension. Eventually we prove the exit measure is singular with respect to the surface measure on ∂D in the critical dimension. We build a version of a thermodynamic formalism for maps of the form f(z) = ∑ j = 0 p + q a j e (jp)z where p, q > 0 and . We show in particular the existence and uniqueness of (t,α)-conformal measures and that the Hausdorff dimension HD(J f r ) = h is the unique zero of the pressure function tP(t) for t > 1, where the set J f r is the radial Julia set. We extend a recent result of A. Jonsson about mutual absolute continuity of twoD s -measures on ans-setFR n to the homogeneous spaces (X, d, μ) of Coifman, Weiss. Here we define Hausdorff measure, Hausdorff dimension,D s -set andd-set relative to the measureμ. Our main result holds for so called (s, d)-sets,ds, and is stronger than Jonssons result even inR n . As applications we interpret this Hausdorff dimension as a relative dimension for very regular sets and show that it in general depends strongly onμ. For this purpose we construct a strictly increasing functionf :RR, whose measure is doubling and concentrated on a set of arbitrary small Hausdorff dimension. The extension off to a quasiconformal map of the half plane onto itself sharpens a classical example of Ahlfors-Beurling.  相似文献

 Let R be a discrete nonsingular equivalence relation on a standard probability space , and let V be an ergodic strongly asymptotically central automorphism of R. We prove that every V-invariant cocycle with values in a Polish group G takes values in an abelian subgroup of G. The hypotheses of this result are satisfied, for example, if A is a finite set, a closed, shift-invariant subset, V is the shift, μ a shift-invariant and ergodic probability measure on X, the two-sided tail-equivalence relation on X, a shift-invariant subrelation which is μ-nonsingular, and a shift-invariant cocycle. Let f be a holomorphic endomorphism of ?? k . We construct by using coding techniques a class of ergodic measures as limits of non-uniform probability measures on preimages of points. We show that they have large metric entropy, close to log d k . We establish for them strong stochastic properties and prove the positivity of their Lyapunov exponents. Since they have large entropy, those measures are supported in the support of the maximal entropy measure of f. They in particular provide lower bounds for the Hausdorff dimension of the Julia set.  相似文献

Let με be invariant measures of the Markov chainsx n F which are small random perturbations of an endomorphismf of the interval [0,1] satisfying the conditions of Misiurewicz [6]. It is shown here that in the ergodic case με converges as ε→0 to the smoothf-invariant measure which exists according to [6]. This result exhibits the first example of stability with respect to random perturbations while stability with respect to deterministic perturbations does not take place.  相似文献

Kinney and Pitcher (1966) determined the dimension of measures on [0, 1] which make the digits in the continued fraction expansion i.i.d. variables. From their formula it is not clear that these dimensions are less than 1, but this follows from the thermodynamic formalism for the Gauss map developed by Walters (1978). We prove that, in fact, these dimensions are bounded by 1−10−7. More generally, we considerf-expansions with a corresponding absolutely continuous measureμ under which the digits form a stationary process. Denote byE δ the set of reals where the asymptotic frequency of some digit in thef-expansion differs by at leastδ from the frequency prescribed byμ. There is an invariant measure μ, which is the pluri-complex version of the harmonic measure of the Julia set for polynomial maps of C.In this paper we give an integral formula for the Lyapunov exponents of a polynomial automorphism with respect to μ, analogous to the Brolin-Manning formula polynomial maps of C.Our formula relates the Lyapunov exponents to the value of a Green function at a type of critical point which we define in this paper. Consider a nontrivial smooth solution to a semilinear elliptic system of first order with smooth coefficients defined over an n-dimensional manifold. Assume the operator has the strong unique continuation property. We show that the zero set of the solution is contained in a countable union of smooth (n−2)-dimensional submanifolds. Hence it is countably (n−2)-rectifiable and its Hausdorff dimension is at most n−2. Moreover, it has locally finite (n−2)-dimensional Hausdorff measure. We show by example that every real number between 0 and n−2 actually occurs as the Hausdorff dimension (for a suitable choice of operator). We study certain ergodic properties of equilibrium measures of hyperbolic non-invertible maps f on basic sets with overlaps Λ. We prove that if the equilibrium measure of a Holder potential , is 1-sided Bernoulli, then f is expanding from the point of view of a pointwise section dimension of . If the measure of maximal entropy μ 0 is 1-sided Bernoulli, then f is shown to be distance expanding on Λ; and if is 1-sided Bernoulli for f expanding, then must be the measure of maximal entropy. These properties are very different from the case of hyperbolic diffeomorphisms. Another result is about the non 1-sided Bernoullicity for certain equilibrium measures for hyperbolic toral endomorphisms. We also prove the non-existence of generating Rokhlin partitions for measure-preserving endomorphisms in several cases, among which the case of hyperbolic non-expanding toral endomorphisms with Haar measure. Nevertheless the system is shown to have always exponential decay of correlations on Holder observables and to be mixing of any order.  相似文献
