We study the long-time asymptotics of the doubly nonlinear diffusion equation ${\rho_t={\rm div}(|\nabla\rho^m |^{p-2} \nabla\left(\rho^m\right))}We study the long-time asymptotics of the doubly nonlinear diffusion equation rt=div(|?rm |p-2 ?(rm)){\rho_t={\rm div}(|\nabla\rho^m |^{p-2} \nabla\left(\rho^m\right))} in \mathbbRn{\mathbb{R}^n}, in the range \fracn-pn(p-1) < m < \fracn-p+1n(p-1){\frac{n-p}{n(p-1)} < m < \frac{n-p+1}{n(p-1)}} and 1 < p < ∞ where the mass of the solution is conserved, but the associated energy functional is not displacement convex. Using a linearisation of the equation, we prove an L 1-algebraic decay of the non-negative solution to a Barenblatt-type solution, and we estimate its rate of convergence. We then derive the nonlinear stability of the solution by means of some comparison method between the nonlinear equation and its linearisation. Our results cover the exponent interval \frac2nn+1 < p < \frac2n+1n+1{\frac{2n}{n+1} < p < \frac{2n+1}{n+1}} where a rate of convergence towards self-similarity was still unknown for the p-Laplacian equation.  相似文献

Let G be a locally compact group and μ a probability measure on G, which is not assumed to be absolutely continuous with respect to Haar measure. Given a unitary representation $\pi ,\mathcal{H}Let G be a locally compact group and μ a probability measure on G, which is not assumed to be absolutely continuous with respect to Haar measure. Given a unitary representation p,H\pi ,\mathcal{H} of G, we study spectral properties of the operator π(μ) acting on H\mathcal{H} Assume that μ is adapted and that the trivial representation 1 G is not weakly contained in the tensor product p?[`(p)]\pi\otimes \overline\pi We show that π(μ) has a spectral gap, that is, for the spectral radius rspec(p(m))r_{\rm spec}(\pi(\mu)) of π(μ), we have rspec(p(m)) < 1.r_{\rm spec}(\pi(\mu))< 1. This provides a common generalization of several previously known results. Another consequence is that, if G has Kazhdan’s Property (T), then rspec(p(m)) < 1r_{\rm spec}(\pi(\mu))< 1 for every unitary representation π of G without finite dimensional subrepresentations. Moreover, we give new examples of so-called identity excluding groups.  相似文献

In this paper we obtain a new regularity criterion for weak solutions to the 3D MHD equations. It is proved that if div( \fracu|u|) \mathrm{div}( \frac{u}{|u|}) belongs to L\frac21-r( 0,T;[(X)\dot]r( \mathbbR3) ) L^{\frac{2}{1-r}}( 0,T;\dot{X}_{r}( \mathbb{R}^{3}) ) with 0≤r≤1, then the weak solution actually is regular and unique.  相似文献

In this paper we study [ r n ] m k≡r(modm) ( k n ) wherem>0,n≥0 andr are integers. We show that [ r n ] m (m>2) can be expressed in terms of some linearly recurrent sequences with orders not exceeding ϕ(m)/2. In particular, we determine [ r n ] 12 explicitly in terms of first order and second order recurrences. It follows that for any primep>3 we have and . We introduce a method for generating (Wx,T(m,s),mx,T(m,s),Mx,T(m,s))(W_{x,T}^{(\mu,\sigma)},m_{x,T}^{(\mu,\sigma)},M_{x,T}^{(\mu,\sigma)}) , where Wx,T(m,s)W_{x,T}^{(\mu,\sigma)} denotes the final value of a Brownian motion starting in x with drift μ and volatility σ at some final time T, mx,T(m,s) = inf0 £ tTWx,t(m,s)m_{x,T}^{(\mu,\sigma)} = {\rm inf}_{0\leq t \leq T}W_{x,t}^{(\mu,\sigma)} and Mx,T(m,s) = sup0 £ tT Wx,t(m,s)M_{x,T}^{(\mu,\sigma)} = {\rm sup}_{0\leq t \leq T} W_{x,t}^{(\mu,\sigma)} . By using the trivariate distribution of (Wx,T(m,s),mx,T(m,s),Mx,T(m,s))(W_{x,T}^{(\mu,\sigma)},m_{x,T}^{(\mu,\sigma)},M_{x,T}^{(\mu,\sigma)}) , we obtain a fast method which is unaffected by the well-known random walk approximation errors. The method is extended to jump-diffusion models. As sample applications we include Monte Carlo pricing methods for European double barrier knock-out calls with continuous reset conditions under both models. The proposed methods feature simple importance sampling techniques for variance reduction.  相似文献

For every positive integer n, consider the linear operator U n on polynomials of degree at most d with integer coefficients defined as follows: if we write ${\frac{h(t)}{(1 - t)^{d + 1}}=\sum_{m \geq 0} g(m) \, t^{m}}For every positive integer n, consider the linear operator U n on polynomials of degree at most d with integer coefficients defined as follows: if we write \frach(t)(1 - t)d + 1=?m 3 0 g(m)  tm{\frac{h(t)}{(1 - t)^{d + 1}}=\sum_{m \geq 0} g(m) \, t^{m}} , for some polynomial g(m) with rational coefficients, then \fracUnh(t)(1- t)d+1 = ?m 3 0g(nm)  tm{\frac{{\rm{U}}_{n}h(t)}{(1- t)^{d+1}} = \sum_{m \geq 0}g(nm) \, t^{m}} . We show that there exists a positive integer n d , depending only on d, such that if h(t) is a polynomial of degree at most d with nonnegative integer coefficients and h(0) = 1, then for nn d , U n h(t) has simple, real, negative roots and positive, strictly log concave and strictly unimodal coefficients. Applications are given to Ehrhart δ-polynomials and unimodular triangulations of dilations of lattice polytopes, as well as Hilbert series of Veronese subrings of Cohen–Macauley graded rings.  相似文献

Let \mathbbF\mathbb{F} be a p-adic field, let χ be a character of \mathbbF*\mathbb{F}^{*}, let ψ be a character of \mathbbF\mathbb{F} and let gy-1\gamma_{\psi}^{-1} be the normalized Weil factor associated with a character of second degree. We prove here that one can define a meromorphic function [(g)\tilde](c,s,y)\widetilde{\gamma}(\chi ,s,\psi) via a similar functional equation to the one used for the definition of the Tate γ-factor replacing the role of the Fourier transform with an integration against y·gy-1\psi\cdot\gamma_{\psi}^{-1}. It turns out that γ and [(g)\tilde]\widetilde{\gamma} have similar integral representations. Furthermore, [(g)\tilde]\widetilde{\gamma} has a relation to Shahidi‘s metaplectic local coefficient which is similar to the relation γ has with (the non-metalpectic) Shahidi‘s local coefficient. Up to an exponential factor, [(g)\tilde](c,s,y)\widetilde{\gamma}(\chi,s,\psi) is equal to the ratio \fracg(c2,2s,y)g(c,s+\frac12,y)\frac{\gamma(\chi^{2},2s,\psi)}{\gamma(\chi,s+\frac{1}{2},\psi)}.  相似文献

Let u be a weak solution of the Navier–Stokes equations in an exterior domain ${\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^3}Let u be a weak solution of the Navier–Stokes equations in an exterior domain W ì \mathbbR3{\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^3} and a time interval [0, T[ , 0 < T ≤ ∞, with initial value u 0, external force f = div F, and satisfying the strong energy inequality. It is well known that global regularity for u is an unsolved problem unless we state additional conditions on the data u 0 and f or on the solution u itself such as Serrin’s condition || u ||Ls(0,T; Lq(W)) < ¥{\| u \|_{L^s(0,T; L^q(\Omega))} < \infty} with 2 < s < ¥, \frac2s + \frac3q = 1{2 < s < \infty, \frac{2}{s} + \frac{3}{q} =1}. In this paper, we generalize results on local in time regularity for bounded domains, see Farwig et al. (Indiana Univ Math J 56:2111–2131, 2007; J Math Fluid Mech 11:1–14, 2008; Banach Center Publ 81:175–184, 2008), to exterior domains. If e.g. u fulfills Serrin’s condition in a left-side neighborhood of t or if the norm || u ||Ls(t-d,t; Lq(W)){\| u \|_{L^{s'}(t-\delta,t; L^q(\Omega))}} converges to 0 sufficiently fast as δ → 0 + , where ${\frac{2}{s'} + \frac{3}{q} > 1}${\frac{2}{s'} + \frac{3}{q} > 1}, then u is regular at t. The same conclusion holds when the kinetic energy \frac12|| u(t) ||22{\frac{1}{2}\| u(t) \|_2^2} is locally H?lder continuous with exponent ${\alpha > \frac{1}{2}}${\alpha > \frac{1}{2}}.  相似文献
