In FeMgBO4 Fe3+ ions form isolated zig-zag chains cut off by Mg2+ impurities. The magnetic diffuse neutron scattering measured at different temperatures can be described by 1D spin correlations within the chain segments. Isotropic first and second neighbour interactions lead to a short-range helical spin arrangement which is perturbed at each diamagnetic impurity. Spin pair correlations increase with decreasing temperature down to 15 K where they reach saturation values reflecting a spin glass state.  相似文献

The low-temperature magnetic properties of MnIn2S4 have been studied using AC magnetic susceptibility and magnetization experiments. High-temperature susceptibility fits indicate the presence of antiferromagnetic interactions. Low-field magnetization data show a peak at 5.6±0.1 K, below which strong irreversibility is observed between zero-field-cooled (ZFC) and field-cooled (FC) cycles suggesting that the observed peak corresponds to a spin-glass-like transition instead of the antiferromagnetic one previously reported. Further evidence of this magnetic state comes from AC susceptibility data at different frequencies. The in-phase component χ′(T) exhibits the behavior expected of spin glasses, i.e. a shift of the cusp to higher temperatures for higher frequencies.  相似文献

Time dependence of thermoremanent magnetization (TRM) in a new spin-glass, Rb2Mn(1-x)CrxCl4 is measured at temperatures below the freezing temperature. The result shows that long time behavior of the TRM obeys a power law, M(t) = Ct?A. It is shown from the analysis of the experiment that there is a possibility of the presence of a critical temperature.  相似文献

Proton spin-lattice relaxation rate has been measured at room temperature in the impurity-doped (CH3)4NMn(1-x)CuxCl3 for X = 0.04, 0.1 and 0.17. The result for Hz. snfc;chain-axis as a function of resonance frequency clearly shows that the spectral density of the spin fluctuations in the impure system remains to have the characteristics 1-D diffusive term (ω-12), with a slower rate of the spin diffusion in accordance with the theory by Richards. The result for H⊥ chain-axis indicates, however, the existence of a singularity of the fluctuations near ω = 0.  相似文献

The magnetic excitation spectrum of K2FeF4 and Rb2FeF4, two K2NiF4-structure planar antiferromagnets with rather large anisotropy and spins perpendicular to the c-axis, has been measured by Raman and FIR-spectroscopy. One of the two predicted one-magnon transitions and the two-magnon mode have been observed in K2FeF4 (Rb2FeF4) at 48.5 cm-1 (37.6 cm-1) and 182.0 cm-1 (160.5 cm-1) respectively. The magnetic field and temperature dependence of the spectra are reported too. The data are discussed on the basis of an easy plane spin model Hamiltonian. In K2FeF4: Mn2+ a low lying magnetic impurity mode is observed at 40.5 cm-1.  相似文献

In this paper we review the salient features of the different instabilities exhibited by the quasi-1D system BaVS3 and show that there is a subtle interplay between the different phases stabilized. The analysis of the Peierls instability shows that the mobile dz² electrons are more localized than calculated because of their strong correlation with the localized e(t2g) electrons. The complex AF magnetic structure of BaVS3 incorporates the magnetization of the e(t2g) electrons with the Peierls pairing of the dz² electrons into magnetic singlets. Finally, we propose that the zig-zag disorder remaining after an incomplete orthorhombic phase transition could change the sign of the magnetic coupling and thus help to stabilize the canted ferromagnetism observed in non stoichiometric BaVS3−δ and Sr and Ba substituted compounds.  相似文献

We have measured the classic constants C11, C33, C55 and C66 in K2NiF4 as a function of temperature between 4.2 and 200 K. A small velocity and attenuation anomaly was observed in the C11 mode at TN = 97.2 K.  相似文献

The magnetic behavior of the diluted magnetic semiconductor Cd0.42Mn0.58In2S4 has been study by dc magnetization and ac susceptibility experiments. Zero field cooled and field cooled measurements reveal irreversibility below Tirr=2.60±0.15 K. Ac susceptibility data, performed as a function of the temperature and the frequency, confirm the spin-glass like behavior of the material with Tf=2.75±0.15 K. High temperature susceptibility data follow a typical Curie-Weiss law with θ=−74±1 K which suggests predominant antiferromagnetic interactions. The randomness of the magnetic ions, necessary to explain the magnetic behavior of the material, has been determined by X-ray powder diffraction experiments.  相似文献

KH2PO4 single crystals have been studied by employing complex impedance measurements in view of the domain freezing effect. As a result, distinct behaviors of the anisotropic domain-wall dynamics in the activation energy of domain freezing and the Vogel–Fulcher temperature before and after proton irradiation have been identified in the anisotropic crystal structure.  相似文献

Precision X-ray studies of the temperature dependence for the CH4 lattice parameter were carried out in the 14–23°K range. Samples of equilibrium spin-modification composition reveals a volume jump of about 0.12 percent at 18 ± 0.1°K. Spin conversion rates in solid CH4Kr mixtures have been measured at Kr concentrations up to 33% and 0.4 < T < 2K. The conversion rate increases by increasing the Kr concentration at constant temperature and increases weakly by decreasing the temperature at constant concentration.  相似文献

The spin-wave spectrum of Ca2MnO4 has been measured at 4.2K. It can be fully built from two exchange integrals in the (001) plane J1=5.9 meV and J2=1.7 meV, and in out-of plane exchange integral J1=0.6meV. This latter explains quite well the splitting of the magnon dispersion curve.  相似文献

MnFe2O4 nano-particles with an average size of about 7 nm were synthesized by the thermal decomposition method. Based on the magnetic hysteresis loops measured at different temperatures the temperature-dependent saturation magnetization (MS) and coercivity (HC) are determined. It is shown that above 20 K the temperature-dependence of the MS and HC indicates the magnetic behaviors in the single-domain nano-particles, while below 20 K, the change of the MS and HC indicates the freezing of the spin-glass like state on the surfaces. By measuring the magnetization–temperature (MT) curves under the zero-field-cooling (ZFC) and field-cooling procedures at different applied fields, superparamagnetism behavior is also studied. Even though in the ZFC MT curves peaks can be observed below 160 K, superparamagnetism does not appear until the temperature goes above 300 K, which is related with the strong inter-particle interaction.  相似文献

The heat capacity of NH4LiSO4, RbLiSO4 and Csx(NH4)1−x LiSO4 crystals and its behavior over a broad temperature range including the phase transition regions were studied. The entropy changes corresponding to structural transformations in these crystals were found not to be characteristic of straightforward ordering of structural blocks. The magnetic properties of Y2 B 2/3Mo4/3O7 complex oxides (B = Co, Fe) were studied in the temperature range 2–300 K. At low temperatures, these compounds exhibit spin-glass properties with freezing temperatures T f=26 and 33 K, respectively, and typical features in the magnetic hysteresis and in the dependences of the real part of the dynamic magnetic susceptibility on temperature and ac magnetic field frequency. 文章计算了海森堡J1-J2自旋链的任意两格点间的量子失谐与相对熵纠缠,不仅给出了量子失谐、相对熵纠缠与两格点自旋关联函数的解析关系,而且给出了精确对角化的数值结果.解析结果指出了两格点的量子失谐与纠缠非零的条件,并为用两格点的量子失谐与纠缠探测该模型的相变点提供了理论依据.数值结果表明,在该模型中,量子失谐比纠缠具有较长程的关联,近邻和远距离两格点间的量子失谐在基态时能标度一级相变点J2/J1 =0.5,在第一激发态时,除了能标度相变点J2/J1=0.5外,还能标度无穷级相变点J2/J1 =0.241 1;而纠缠仅存在最近邻与次近邻两格点间,且只有最近邻两格点的纠缠能标度相变点.  相似文献

Measurements of electrical resistivity, AC and DC magnetic susceptibilities of a DyFe4Al8 single crystal were performed in the temperature range 4.2–300K. A thermomagnetic effect was found below 30K. The strong anisotropy of the magnetic susceptibility occurs in the whole temperature range and is very pronounced at low temperatures. A T2-dependence of the electrical resistivity in the temperature range 4.2–100K and an antiferromagnetic transition at 185K were found. A cusp in the AC susceptibility was observed below 100K with a maximum at 30K.  相似文献

Quasi-2D layered Cr4Te5 thin film has attracted great attention because it possesses the high Curie temperature close to room temperature and relatively large saturation magnetization. However, the magnetic interactions and the nature of magnetic phase transition in the Cr4Te5 film have not been explored thoroughly. In this paper, we focused on the critical behavior of its magnetic phase transition through the epitaxial Cr4Te5 film fabricated by pulsed laser deposition (PLD). The final critical exponents β = 0.359(2) and γ = 1.54(2) were obtained by linear extrapolation together with Arrott-Noakes equation of state, and their accuracy was confirmed by using the Widom scaling relation and scaling hypothesis. We find that some magnetic disorders exist in the Cr4Te5 film system, which is related to Cr4Te5 critical behavior why its critical behavior is quite far from any conventional universality class. Furthermore, we also determined that the Cr4Te5 film exhibits a quasi-2D long-range magnetic interaction. Finally, the itinerant ferromagnets of Cr4Te5 films were confirmed by the Takahashi’s self-consistent renormalization theory of spin fluctuations. Our work provides a new idea for understanding the mechanism of magnetic interactions in similar 2D layered films.  相似文献

Diffusion in the four high-temperature sulphate phases Li2SO4, LiNaSO4, LiAgSO4 and Li4Zn(SO4)3 was studied extensively some 20–30 years ago. We have now carried out a re-evaluation where we include information obtained from a number of studies of other properties. The data are adjusted slightly due to the use of another type of regression analysis. It is characteristic of the four phases that they are both plastic crystals and solid electrolytes (superionic conductors). The cause of the high conductivity is that the mobility of the cations is strongly enhanced by the rotational motion of the translationally static sulphate ions. This is observed not only for the abundant cations, but also for other cations present (mono- as well as polyvalent) and for monovalent anions. Furthermore, both bulk diffusion and transfer along high diffusivity paths are affected. In addition, one can distinguish between different contributions to the bulk diffusion. The ionic radius is a very important parameter, since it determines the solid solubility and the distribution of the ions between the sites that are available in the lattice. All this affects the relative importance of several competing diffusion mechanisms. This gives a qualitative explanation of an anomalous correlation which has been observed in FCC Li2SO4 for monovalent ions (cations as well as anions), namely that both the diffusion coefficients D, and the activation energies Q, decrease when the radius is increased. This holds for hard-core cations (Li, Na, K, Rb), polarizable cations (Ag, Tl) and anions (F, Cl, Br). On the other hand, the situation is normal for divalent cations for which an increase in D corresponds to a decrease in Q. This is the case for hard-core ions (Mg, Ca) as well as for polarizable ones (Zn, Cd, Pb). Migration of the large ions Cs+ and SO2−4 appears to be specially sensitive to how the experiment is prepared. Diffusion in BCC LiNaSO4 and LiAgSO4 has been studied for the two main cations as well as for some dopant ions. A general conclusion is that studies of diffusion of several ions in the same structure can give information that cannot be obtained by other types of experiments.  相似文献
