The reaction of [NiBr(2)(bpy)(2)] (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) with organic phosphinic acids ArP(O)(OH)H [Ar = Ph, 2,4,6-trimethylphenyl (Mes), 9-anthryl (Ant)] leads to the formation of binuclear nickel(II) complexes with bridging ArP(H)O(2)(-) ligands. Crystal structures of the binuclear complexes [Ni(2)(μ-O(2)P(H)Ar)(2)(bpy)(4)]Br(2) (Ar = Ph, Mes, Ant) have been determined. In each structure, the metal ions have distorted octahedral coordination and are doubly bridged by two arylphosphinato ligands. Magnetic susceptibility measurements have shown that these complexes display strong antiferromagnetic coupling between the two nickel atoms at low temperatures, apparently similar to binuclear nickel(II) complexes with bridging carboxylato ligands. Cyclic voltammetry and in situ EPR spectroelectrochemistry show that these complexes can be electrochemically reduced and oxidized with the formation of Ni(I),Ni(0)/Ni(III) derivatives.  相似文献

A new end-off type acyclic ligand with four hydroxyethyl arms, 2,6-bis[bis(2-hydroxyethyl)aminomethyl]-4-methylphenol [H(bhmp)], formed dinuclear cobalt(II) complexes [Co(2)(bhmp)(OAc)(2)]BPh(4) (1) and [Co(2)(bhmp)(OBz)(2)]BPh(4) (2). The complex 1.2.5CH(3)CN (C(50)H(62.5)BCo(2)N(4.5)O(9)) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with dimensions a = 25.424(5) A, b = 13.376(2) A, c = 29.913(6) A, beta = 105.930(3) degrees, and V = 9781(3) A(3) and with Z = 8. X-ray diffraction analysis revealed a mu-phenoxo-bis(mu-acetato)dicobalt(II) core structure containing two octahedral cobalt(II) ions. Electronic spectra were investigated for 1 and 2 in the range 400-1800 nm, and the data were typical for the octahedral high-spin cobalt(II) complexes. Magnetic susceptibility was measured for 1 and 2 over the temperature range 4.5-300 K, and the data were analyzed well using our theoretical method. The best fitting parameters were kappa = 0.77, lambda = -116 cm(-1), Delta = 572 cm(-1), and J = -0.44 cm(-1) for complex 1 and kappa = 0.96, lambda = -93 cm(-1), Delta = 616 cm(-1), and J = -0.33 cm(-1) for complex 2.  相似文献

We have synthesized a new type of acyclic bis(N2O2 chelate) ligand that affords a C-shaped O6 site by the metalation of the N2O2 salamo sites. UV-vis titration clearly showed that complexation of H4L with MII (MnII, CoII, and NiII) affords the 1:3 complex [LM3]2+ in a cooperative fashion, whereas complexation with copper(II) gave two or more complexes in a stepwise fashion. The manganese(II) complex [LMn3(OAc)2(MeOH)2] crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P_1, with unit cell parameters a = 9.584(6) A, b = 13.666(9) A, c = 15.566(10) A, alpha = 108.702(8) degrees, beta = 95.255(4) degrees, gamma = 101.023(8) degrees, and Z = 2, and the cobalt(II) complex [LCo3(OAc)2(EtOH)2].2CHCl3 crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P_1, with unit cell parameters a = 13.291(6) A, b = 13.913(7) A, c = 14.599(8) A, alpha = 88.27(2) degrees, beta = 67.391(15)degrees, gamma = 73.90(2) degrees, and Z = 2. In the crystal structures, three metal ions occupied both the N2O2 and O6 sites of the ligand L4-. The resultant trinuclear complexes have a C- or S-shaped structure depending on the metal employed. The different nature of the N2O2 and O6 sites of the ligand H4L leads to the site-selective introduction of two different d-block transition metals. An X-ray crystallographic analysis revealed the structures of the two heterotrinuclear complexes, [LZn2Mn(OAc)2(MeOH)2] and [LCu2Zn(OAc)2(H2O)].  相似文献

Copper(II) complexes (1-3) of a sterically constrained phenol-based tetradentate N(2)O(2) ligand 1,4-bis(2-hydroxy-3,5-dimethylbenzyl)piperazine (H(2)L) have been reported. The associated anions of the copper(II) ion precursors have profound influence on the stoichiometry of the products. Thus, with perchlorate ion, the product is a binuclear compound [Cu(2)L(2)] (1), while with coordinating anions viz. Cl(-) and N(3)(-), the products [Cu(3)L(2)Cl(2)(H(2)O)].1/2H(2)L (2) and [Cu(3)L(2)(N(3))(2)(CH(3)OH)].4H(2)O (3) have triangulo trinuclear composition. The syntheses, X-ray structures, and spectroscopic and magnetic properties of these complexes are described. Compound 1 has a noncentrosymmetric structure with a rectangular Cu(2)(OPh)(2) core. It appears to be a rare example of a phenolato-bridged Cu(II) dimer exhibiting ferromagnetic interactions (J = 0.93 cm(-)(1)), a behavior in agreement with the theoretical predictions but seldom observed experimentally. In compounds 2 and 3, the copper centers are triangularly disposed, and the molecules have a shape much like that of a butterfly. The terminal copper centers Cu(1) and Cu(2) in 2 and 3 have distorted square pyramidal geometry, connected to each other by a bridging chloro- (in 2) or azido ligand (in 3) in "end to end" fashion. The central copper center (Cu(3) in 2 and Cu in 3) in both the compounds has distorted square planar geometry. The separations between the metal centers, viz. Cu(1)...Cu(2), Cu(2)...Cu(3), and Cu(3)...Cu(1), are 4.826, 3.214, and 3.244 A, respectively, in 2. The corresponding distances in 3 are 5.590, 3.178, and 3.485 A, respectively. The overall magnetic behaviors in 2 and 3 are consistent with antiferromagnetic interactions between the spin centers. In 3, the exchange couplings between the terminal and central copper centers J(Cu(1))(-)(Cu) and J(Cu(2))(-)(Cu) appear to be equal (-234 cm(-)(1)), resulting in an S = (1)/(2) ground state at temperatures near or below 77 K.  相似文献

To systematically explore the influence of the bulky aromatic ring skeleton with a large conjugated pi-system on the structures and properties of their complexes, six CuII, CoII, and NiII complexes with the anthracene-based carboxylic ligand anthracene-9-carboxylic acid (HL1), were synthesized and characterized, sometimes incorporating different auxiliary ligands: [Cu2(L1)4(CH3OH)2](CH3OH) (1), [Cu4(L1)6(L2)4](NO3)2(H2O)2 (2), {[Cu2(L1)4(L3)](CH3OH)0.25}infinity (3), [Co2(L1)4(L4)2(micro-H2O)](CH3OH) (4), {[Co(L1)2(L5)(CH3OH)2]}infinity (5), and {[Ni(L1)2(L5)(CH3OH)2]}infinity (6) (L2 = 2,2'-bipyridine, L3 = 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane, L4 = 1,10-phenanthroline, and L5 = 4,4'-bipyridine). 1 has a dinuclear structure that is further assembled to form a one-dimensional (1D) chain and then a two-dimensional (2D) network by the C-H...O H-bonding and pi...pi stacking interactions jointly. 2 takes a tetranuclear structure due to the existence of the chelating L2 ligand. 3 possesses a 1D chain structure by incorporating the related auxiliary ligand L3, which is further interlinked via interchain pi...pi stacking, resulting in a three-dimensional (3D) network. 4 also has a dinuclear structure and then forms a higher-dimensional supramolecular network through intermolecular pi...pi stacking and/or C-H...pi interactions. 5 and 6 are isostructural complexes, except they involve different metal ions, showing 1D chain structures, which are also assembled into 2D networks from the different crystallographic directions by interchain pi...pi stacking and C-H...pi interactions, respectively. The results reveal that the steric bulk of the anthracene ring in HL1 plays an important role in the formation of 1-6. The magnetic properties of the complexes were investigated, and the very long intermetallic distances result in weak magnetic coupling, with the exception of 1 and 3, which adopt the typical paddle-wheel structure of copper acetate and are thus strongly coupled.  相似文献

Synthesis of a Robson type macrocyclic ligand [H4L](ClO4)2 (1) obtained on condensation of 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol and 2,2′-dimethyl-1,3-diaminopropane, template synthesis of a dinuclear lead(II) complex [PbII2L(NO3)2] (2), synthesis of a dinuclear zinc(II) complex [ZnII2L(NO3)(H2O)](ClO4) (3) through metal substitution reaction and synthesis of another dinuclear zinc(II) complex [ZnII2L(H2O)2](ClO4)2·(H2O)2 (4) obtained directly from 1 are described in the present study. Crystal structure determinations of 1 and 3 have been carried out. Both the compounds 1 and 3 crystallize in the orthorhombic system with the space groups Fdd2 and P21212, respectively. Spectrophotometric and spectrofluorometric titrations of 1 with triethylamine as well as with zinc(II) acetate are also reported.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of a new N3O donor ligand N-benzyl-N-((6-pivaloylamido-2-pyridyl)methyl)-N-(2-pyridylmethyl)amine (bpppa) is reported. Treatment of bpppa with Mn(II)(ClO4)2.6H2O in acetonitrile solution yielded the mononuclear [(bpppa)Mn(CH3CN)(H2O)](ClO4)2 (1) which was characterized by X-ray crystallography, elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and a solution magnetic moment measurement. Admixture of equimolar equivalents of bpppa and Mn(II)(ClO4)2.6H2O in methanol solution, followed by addition of 0.5 or 1 equivalents of sodium oxalate, yielded the binuclear complex [{(bpppa)Mn}2([mu]-C2O4)](ClO4)2 (2), which was characterized by X-ray crystallography, elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and solid-state magnetic measurements. While 1 is mononuclear, the formation of the binuclear oxalate derivative indicates that use of the bpppa ligand does not enable isolation of a complex that is structurally relevant to a proposed 1:1 Mn(II)-oxalate adduct in the catalytic cycle of the oxalate degrading enzyme oxalate decarboxylase.  相似文献

Three new compounds of formula {[Cu(gua)(H(2)O)(3)](BF(4))(SiF(6))(1/2)}(n) (1), {[Cu(gua)(H(2)O)(3)](CF(3)SO(3))(2).H(2)O}(n) (2) and [Cu(gua)(2)(H(2)O)(HCOO)]ClO(4).H(2)O.1/2HCOOH] (3) [gua = 2-amino-1H-purin-6(9H)-one] showing the unprecedented coordination of neutral guanine, have been synthesised and structurally characterized. The structures of the compounds 1 and 2 contain uniform copper(II) chains of formula [Cu(gua)(H(2)O)(3)](n)(2n+), where the copper atoms are bridged by guanine ligands coordinated via N(3) and N(7). The electroneutrality is achieved by uncoordinated tetrafluoroborate and hexafluorosilicate (1) and triflate (2). Each copper atom in 1 and 2 is five-coordinated in a distorted square pyramidal environment: two water molecules in trans positions and the N(3) and N(7a) nitrogen atoms of two guanine ligands build the basal plane whereas a water molecule fills the axial position. The values of the copper-copper separation across the bridging guanine ligand are 7.183(1) (1) and 7.123(1) A (2). is an ionic salt whose structure is made up of mononuclear [Cu(gua)(2)(H(2)O)(HCOO)](+) cations and perchlorate anions plus water and formic acid as crystallization molecules. The two guanine ligands in the cation are coordinated to the copper centre through the N(9) atom. The copper atom in 3 is four-coordinated with two monodentate guanine molecules in the trans position, a water molecule and a monodenate formate ligand building a quasi square planar surrounding. Magnetic susceptibility measurements for 1 and 2 in the temperature range 1.9-300 K show the occurrence of significant intrachain antiferromagnetic interactions between the copper(ii) ions across the guanine bridge [J = -9.6(1) (1) and -10.3(1) cm(-1) (2) with H = -J summation operator(i)S(i).S(i+1)].  相似文献

The basicity behavior and ligational properties of the ligand 2-((bis(aminoethyl)amino)methyl)phenol (L) toward Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) ions were studied by means of potentiometric measurements in aqueous solution (298.1 +/- 0.1 K, l = 0.15 mol dm-3). The anionic L-H- species can be obtained in strong alkaline solution; this species behaves as tetraprotic base (log K1 = 11.06, log K2 = 9.85, log K3 = 8.46, log K4 = 2.38). L forms mono- and dinuclear complexes in aqueous solution with all the transition metal ions examined; the dinuclear species show a [M2(L-H)2]2+ stoichiometry in which the ligand/metal ratio is 2:2. The studies revealed that two mononuclear [ML-H]+ species self-assemble, giving the dinuclear complexes, which can be easily isolated from the aqueous solution due to their low solubility. This behavior is ascribed to the fact that L does not fulfill the coordination requirement of the ion in the mononuclear species and to the capacity of the phenolic oxygen, as phenolate, to bridge two metal ions. All three dinuclear species were characterized by determining their crystal structures, which showed similar coordination patterns, where all the single metal ions are substantially coordinated by three amine functions and two oxygen atoms of the phenolate moieties. The two metals in the dinuclear complexes are at short distance interacting together as shown by magnetic measurements performed with Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes, which revealed an antiferromagnetic coupling between the two metal ions. The [Cu2(L-H)2]2+ cation shows a phase transition occurring by the temperature between 100 and 90 K; the characterization of the compounds existing at different temperatures was investigated using X-ray single-crystal diffraction, EPR, and magnetic measurements.  相似文献

A new pyridylpyrazole-containing tetradentate ligand, namely N,N-bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-ylmethyl)aminomethylpyridine (L), and two of its binuclear azido-bridged complexes, [Ni2(L)2(N3)2](ClO4)2·2EtOH (1) and [Cu2(L)2(N3)2](ClO4)2 (2), have been synthesized and characterized by physico-chemical and spectroscopic methods. The crystal structures of both complexes are reported. Each metal atom in the complexes has a MN6 coordination environment with distorted octahedral geometry. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements for complex (1) show typical antiferromagnetic behavior with J value −84.5 ± 1.3 cm−1, whereas complex (2) has no magnetic interactions.  相似文献

The hydrothermal reaction of Cu(NO(3))(2), isophthalate (ip) and 2,2'-bipyridine (2,2'-bpy) without or with K(2)Cr(2)O(7) affords different complexes, whose structures are controlled only by the addition of the K(2)Cr(2)O(7). The reaction of Cu(NO(3))(2), isophthalate and 2,2'-bipyridine yields a novel one-dimensional double-chain coordination polymer [Cu(3)(ip)(2)(Hipa)(2)(bpy)(2)](n) (1). However, with the addition of K(2)Cr(2)O(7) in the above reaction at the same hydrothermal conditions, a discrete hexanuclear Cu(II) complex [Cu(6)(ipO)(4)(2,2'-bpy)(2)(H(2)O)(2)].6H(2)O (2) (ipOH = 2-hydroxyisophthalate) was isolated. It is interesting to find that the in situ reaction of isophthalate (ip) oxidized to 2-hydroxyisophthalate (ipOH) occurs. K(2)Cr(2)O(7) acts as an oxidant. The magnetic properties of 1 and 2 have been investigated by variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility and magnetization measurements, and the results reveal that intramolecular ferromagnetic interactions exist with weak intermolecular antiferromagnetic interactions at very low temperature in 1 and weak antiferromagnetic interactions admixture with strong ferromagnetic interactions in 2.  相似文献

Four azido-bridged dinuclear Mn(II) complexes, [Mn2(phen)4 μ-1,1-N3)2][FeIII(bpmb)(CN)2]2·H2O (1), [Mn2(phen)4(μ-1,1-N3)2][FeIII(bpClb)(CN)2]2·H2O (2), and [Mn2(phen)4(μ-1,1-N3)2][MIII(bpdmb)(CN)2]2·3H2O [M = Fe (3) or Cr (4); phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, bpmb2– = 1,2-bis(pyridine-2-carboxamido)-4-methyl-benzenate, bpClb2– = 1,2-bis(pyridine-2-carboxamido) 4-chloro-benzenate, bpdmb2– = 1,2-bis(pyridine-2-carboxamido)-4,5-dimethyl-benzenate], have been synthesized using the synthetic strategy of large anion inducement. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that all four complexes are doubly end-on (EO) azido-bridged binuclear Mn(II) complexes with two large [M(L)(CN)2] (L = bpmb2?, bpClb2?, or bpdmb2?) building blocks acting as charge-compensating anions. The magnetic properties of the complexes have been investigated, and the results indicate that the magnetic coupling between two Mn(II) centers through the EO azide bridges is ferromagnetic, with J = 0.64(1) cm?1 for 1, 0.43(1) cm?1 for 2, 0.50(1) cm?1 for 3, and 0.66(2) cm?1 for 4. The magneto-structural relationships of EO azido-bridged Mn(II) systems are discussed.  相似文献

An asymmetric dinuclear ligand, N-4-methyl-homopiperazine-N′-[N-(2-pyridylmethyl)-N-2-(2-pyridylethyl)amine]-1,3-diaminopr-opan-2-ol (HL) and two dinuclear Ni(II) complexes [Ni2L(DNBA)2]ClO4 (1) and [Ni2L(BPP)2]ClO4·2H2O (2) (3,5-dinitrobenzoic acid, bisphenyl phosphate) have been synthesized and characterized. Single crystal X-ray crystallographic analysis reveals that the coordination environments of the two Ni(II) atoms in complexes 1 and 2 are five and six coordinate, respectively. The phosphodiesterase activity of a di-Ni(II) complex Ni2L formed in situ from a 2:1 mixture of Ni2+ and HL was investigated using bis(4-nitrophenyl) phosphate (BNPP) as the substrate. The pH dependence of the rate of BNPP cleavage in aqueous buffer indicates a bell-shaped profile with an optimum at about pH 8.4, which is parallel to the formation of the dinuclear species [Ni2LOH]2+ according to UV–vis spectroscopy. At pH 8.4 and 25 °C, the k cat (7.40 × 10?5 s?1) is ca.106-fold higher than that of the uncatalyzed reaction. A possible mechanism for BNPP cleavage promoted by Ni2L is proposed.  相似文献

A synthetic procedure for preparation of new amphiphilic copper(II) and nickel(II) azamacrocyclic complexes bearing aromatic substituents is developed. The nature of substituents is shown to exert a negligible influence on spectral and electrochemical characteristics of the prepared compounds. The X-ray diffraction analysis of three copper complexes revealed the formation of the dimers of macrocyclic cations associated by noncovalent interactions, nature of which is determined by the structure of the substituent in the macrocyclic ligand.  相似文献
