This paper discusses the approximation by reciprocals of polynomials with positive coefficients in Orlicz spaces and proved that if f(x) ∈ LM*[0,1], changes its sign at most once in (0,1), then there exists x0 ∈ (0,1) and a polynomial Pn ∈ Πn(+) such that f (x) -Pn (x)x-x0 M ≤ Cω( f,n-1/2 )M, where Πn(+) indicates the set of all polynomials of degree n with positive coefficients.  相似文献

Varga [2] also gave the degree of approximation of f(x) ∈C~6 [0, 1] by S_n(x). Z. R. Guo [3] obtained the saturation theorem for this approximation. Z. R. In this paper we estimate the degree of approximation of wavelet expansions. Our result shows that the degree has the exponential decay for function f(x) ∈ L2 continuous in a finite interval (a,b) which is much superior to those of approximation by polynomial operators and by expansions of classical orthogonal series.  相似文献

There have been many studies on the dense theorem of approximation by radial basis feedforword neural networks, and some approximation problems by Gaussian radial basis feedforward neural networks(GRBFNs)in some special function space have also been investigated. This paper considers the approximation by the GRBFNs in continuous function space. In this paper we pursue the study of the best approximation operator extended from L~Φ to L~φ, where φ denotes the derivative of the function Φ. We get pointwise convergence for the coefficients of the extended best approximation polynomials for a wide class of function f, closely related to the Calder′on–Zygmund class t_m~p(x) which had been introduced in 1961. We also obtain weak and strong type inequalities for a maximal operator related to the extended best polynomial approximation and a norm convergence result for the coefficients is derived. In most of these results, we have to consider Matuszewska–Orlicz indices for the function φ.  相似文献
