In this paper we study the Liouville-type properties for solutions to the steady incompressible Euler equations with forces in ${\mathbb {R}^N}$ . If we assume “single signedness condition” on the force, then we can show that a ${C^1 (\mathbb {R}^N)}$ solution (v, p) with ${|v|^2+ |p| \in L^{\frac{q}{2}}(\mathbb {R}^N),\,q \in (\frac{3N}{N-1}, \infty)}$ is trivial, v = 0. For the solution of the steady Navier–Stokes equations, satisfying ${v(x) \to 0}$ as ${|x| \to \infty}$ , the condition ${\int_{\mathbb {R}^3} |\Delta v|^{\frac{6}{5}} dx < \infty}$ , which is stronger than the important D-condition, ${\int_{\mathbb {R}^3} |\nabla v|^2 dx < \infty}$ , but both having the same scaling property, implies that v = 0. In the appendix we reprove Theorem 1.1 (Chae, Commun Math Phys 273:203–215, 2007), using the self-similar Euler equations directly.  相似文献

We consider Hermitian and symmetric random band matrices H = (h xy ) in ${d\,\geqslant\,1}$ d ? 1 dimensions. The matrix entries h xy , indexed by ${x,y \in (\mathbb{Z}/L\mathbb{Z})^d}$ x , y ∈ ( Z / L Z ) d , are independent, centred random variables with variances ${s_{xy} = \mathbb{E} |h_{xy}|^2}$ s x y = E | h x y | 2 . We assume that s xy is negligible if |x ? y| exceeds the band width W. In one dimension we prove that the eigenvectors of H are delocalized if ${W\gg L^{4/5}}$ W ? L 4 / 5 . We also show that the magnitude of the matrix entries ${|{G_{xy}}|^2}$ | G x y | 2 of the resolvent ${G=G(z)=(H-z)^{-1}}$ G = G ( z ) = ( H - z ) - 1 is self-averaging and we compute ${\mathbb{E} |{G_{xy}}|^2}$ E | G x y | 2 . We show that, as ${L\to\infty}$ L → ∞ and ${W\gg L^{4/5}}$ W ? L 4 / 5 , the behaviour of ${\mathbb{E} |G_{xy}|^2}$ E | G x y | 2 is governed by a diffusion operator whose diffusion constant we compute. Similar results are obtained in higher dimensions.  相似文献

Let ${Y_{m|n}^{\ell}}$ be the super Yangian of general linear Lie superalgebra for ${\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n}}$ . Let ${e \in \mathfrak{gl}_{m\ell|n\ell}}$ be a “rectangular” nilpotent element and ${\mathcal{W}_e}$ be the finite W-superalgebra associated to e. We show that ${Y_{m|n}^{\ell}}$ is isomorphic to ${\mathcal{W}_e}$ .  相似文献

It is shown that for each finite number N of Dirac measures ${\delta_{s_n}}$ supported at points ${s_n \in {\mathbb R}^3}$ with given amplitudes ${a_n \in {\mathbb R} \backslash\{0\}}$ there exists a unique real-valued function ${u \in C^{0, 1}({\mathbb R}^3)}$ , vanishing at infinity, which distributionally solves the quasi-linear elliptic partial differential equation of divergence form ${-\nabla \cdot ( \nabla{u}/ \sqrt{1-| \nabla{u} |^2}) = 4 \pi \sum_{n=1}^N a_n \delta_{s_n}}$ . Moreover, ${u \in C^{\omega}({\mathbb R}^3\backslash \{s_n\}_{n=1}^N)}$ . The result can be interpreted in at least two ways: (a) for any number N of point charges of arbitrary magnitude and sign at prescribed locations s n in three-dimensional Euclidean space there exists a unique electrostatic field which satisfies the Maxwell-Born-Infeld field equations smoothly away from the point charges and vanishes as |s| ?? ??; (b) for any number N of integral mean curvatures assigned to locations ${s_n \in {\mathbb R}^3 \subset{\mathbb R}^{1, 3}}$ there exists a unique asymptotically flat, almost everywhere space-like maximal slice with point defects of Minkowski spacetime ${{\mathbb R}^{1, 3}}$ , having lightcone singularities over the s n but being smooth otherwise, and whose height function vanishes as |s| ?? ??. No struts between the point singularities ever occur.  相似文献

Detailed measurements of the azimuthal anisotropy (v 2) for identified charged particles are reported as a function of transverse momentum (pT) and centrality for Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt {s_{NN} } = 200$ GeV. The measurements indicate clear evidence for eccentricity and particle flavor scaling over a broad range of centralities and transverse rapidity yT, indicating a hydrodynamical origin of the fine structure of azimuthal anisotropy at RHIC. The observed scaling supports the picture of a suddenly hadronizing (recombining) fluid of quarks. An apparent breaking of flavor scaling at relatively large values of yT points to an important change in the mechanism for particle emission.  相似文献

Understanding normal nuclear medium effects present in heavy ion collisions is essential for understanding the following dynamics of the high density matter produced in the collision. Asymmetric collisions, such as deuteron + gold, provide a key tool for studying these effects since particles produced in the forward and backward directions may be subject to different phenomena. Particle production has been studied in d+Au collisions for various kinematic regions at the RHIC facility. PHENIX has measured charged hadron production as a function of pT for different centrality classes using the PHENIX muon spectrometers for d+Au collisions at $\sqrt {s_{NN} } = 200$ GeV. The PHENIX muon spectrometers have coverage in both forward and backward directions in the rapidity range 1.2 |η| < 2.4. The R cp measurement, the ratio of central to peripheral production, is presented and discussed. Comparisons are also made with some relevant theoretical calculations.  相似文献

Particle production of charged hadrons in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt {s_{NN} } = 200$ GeV bas been studied as a function of rapidity by the BRAHMS Collaboration at RHIC. Selected recent results are presented with emphasis on longitudinal dynamics of particle production. The rapidity dependence of particle production imposes more stringent constraints on theoretical models describing dynamics of nuclear matter created by high-energy heavy ion collisions.  相似文献

We consider the block band matrices, i.e. the Hermitian matrices $H_N$ , $N=|\Lambda |W$ with elements $H_{jk,\alpha \beta }$ , where $j,k \in \Lambda =[1,m]^d\cap \mathbb {Z}^d$ (they parameterize the lattice sites) and $\alpha , \beta = 1,\ldots , W$ (they parameterize the orbitals on each site). The entries $H_{jk,\alpha \beta }$ are random Gaussian variables with mean zero such that $\langle H_{j_1k_1,\alpha _1\beta _1}H_{j_2k_2,\alpha _2\beta _2}\rangle =\delta _{j_1k_2}\delta _{j_2k_1} \delta _{\alpha _1\beta _2}\delta _{\beta _1\alpha _2} J_{j_1k_1},$ where $J=1/W+\alpha \Delta /W$ , $\alpha < 1/4d$ . This matrices are the special case of Wegner’s $W$ -orbital models. Assuming that the number of sites $|\Lambda |$ is finite, we prove universality of the local eigenvalue statistics of $H_N$ for the energies $|\lambda _0|< \sqrt{2}$ .  相似文献

We report on the p T dependence of nuclear modification factors (R CP) for K S 0 , ??, ?? and the $\bar NK_S^0 $ ratios at mid-rapidity from Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt {s_{NN} } $ = 39, 11.5 and 7.7 GeV. At $\sqrt {s_{NN} } $ = 39 GeV, the R CP data show a baryon/meson separation at intermediate p T and a suppression for K S 0 for p T up to 4.5 GeV/c; the $\bar \Lambda K_S^0 $ shows baryon enhancement in the most central collisions. However, at $\sqrt {s_{NN} } $ = 11.5 and 7.7 GeV, R CP shows less baryon/meson separation and $\bar NK_S^0 $ shows almost no baryon enhancement. These observations indicate that the matter created in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt {s_{NN} } $ = 11.5 or 7.7 GeV might be distinct from that created at $\sqrt {s_{NN} } $ = 39 GeV.  相似文献

Preliminary results from measurements of resonances (K *0(892), $\overline {K*^0 } (892)$ , Φ(1020), and ρ(770)) and weakly decaying particles (Λ(1116), $\bar \Lambda (1116)$ , and K S 0 (498)) are presented. The measurements are performed at mid-rapidity by the STAR detector in $\sqrt {s_{NN} } = 130$ GeV Au?Au collisions at RHIC. The ratios K *0/h?, $\overline {K*^0 } /K$ , and $\bar \Lambda /\Lambda $ are compared to measurements at different energies and colliding systems. Estimates of thermal parameters, such as temperature and baryon chemical potential, are also presented.  相似文献

In the study of the heat transfer in the Boltzmann theory, the basic problem is to construct solutions to the following steady problem: $$v \cdot \nabla _{x}F =\frac{1}{{\rm K}_{\rm n}}Q(F,F),\qquad (x,v)\in \Omega \times \mathbf{R}^{3}, \quad \quad (0.1) $$ v · ? x F = 1 K n Q ( F , F ) , ( x , v ) ∈ Ω × R 3 , ( 0.1 ) $$F(x,v)|_{n(x)\cdot v<0} = \mu _{\theta}\int_{n(x) \cdot v^{\prime}>0}F(x,v^{\prime})(n(x)\cdot v^{\prime})dv^{\prime},\quad x \in\partial \Omega,\quad \quad (0.2) $$ F ( x , v ) | n ( x ) · v < 0 = μ θ ∫ n ( x ) · v ′ > 0 F ( x , v ′ ) ( n ( x ) · v ′ ) d v ′ , x ∈ ? Ω , ( 0.2 ) where Ω is a bounded domain in ${\mathbf{R}^{d}, 1 \leq d \leq 3}$ R d , 1 ≤ d ≤ 3 , Kn is the Knudsen number and ${\mu _{\theta}=\frac{1}{2\pi \theta ^{2}(x)} {\rm exp} [-\frac{|v|^{2}}{2\theta (x)}]}$ μ θ = 1 2 π θ 2 ( x ) exp [ - | v | 2 2 θ ( x ) ] is a Maxwellian with non-constant(non-isothermal) wall temperature θ(x). Based on new constructive coercivity estimates for both steady and dynamic cases, for ${|\theta -\theta_{0}|\leq \delta \ll 1}$ | θ - θ 0 | ≤ δ ? 1 and any fixed value of Kn, we construct a unique non-negative solution F s to (0.1) and (0.2), continuous away from the grazing set and exponentially asymptotically stable. This solution is a genuine non-equilibrium stationary solution differing from a local equilibrium Maxwellian. As an application of our results we establish the expansion ${F_s=\mu_{\theta_0}+\delta F_{1}+O(\delta ^{2})}$ F s = μ θ 0 + δ F 1 + O ( δ 2 ) and we prove that, if the Fourier law holds, the temperature contribution associated to F 1 must be linear, in the slab geometry.  相似文献

It is shown that $\hat sl(2)_{k_1 } \oplus \hat sl(2)_{k_2 } /\hat sl(2)_{k_1 + k_2 } $ coset theory is a quantum Hamiltonian reduction of the exceptional affine Lie superalgebra $\hat D(2|1;\alpha )$ . In addition, the W algebra of this theory is the commutant of the U q D(2|1;a) quantum group.  相似文献

The PHOBOS Collaboration has measured charged particles emitted over the range ?5.4<η<5.4 for Au+Au collisions at energies of $\sqrt {s_{NN} } = 19.6$ , 62.4, 130 and 200 GeV. In this contribution I will present recent results on the pseudorapidity distributions, total charged-particle production, and collective flow of particles obtained from these measurements.  相似文献

We prove a regularity result in weighted Sobolev (or Babu?ka?CKondratiev) spaces for the eigenfunctions of certain Schr?dinger-type operators. Our results apply, in particular, to a non-relativistic Schr?dinger operator of an N-electron atom in the fixed nucleus approximation. More precisely, let ${\mathcal{K}_{a}^{m}(\mathbb{R}^{3N},r_S)}$ be the weighted Sobolev space obtained by blowing up the set of singular points of the potential ${V(x) = \sum_{1 \le j \le N} \frac{b_j}{|x_j|} + \sum_{1 \le i < j \le N} \frac{c_{ij}}{|x_i-x_j|}}$ , ${x \in \mathbb{R}^{3N}}$ , ${b_j, c_{ij} \in \mathbb{R}}$ . If ${u \in L^2(\mathbb{R}^{3N})}$ satisfies ${(-\Delta + V) u = \lambda u}$ in distribution sense, then ${u \in \mathcal{K}_{a}^{m}}$ for all ${m \in \mathbb{Z}_+}$ and all a ?? 0. Our result extends to the case when b j and c ij are suitable bounded functions on the blown-up space. In the single-electron, multi-nuclei case, we obtain the same result for all a?<?3/2.  相似文献

By the use of complete orthonormal sets of ${\psi ^{(\alpha^{\ast})}}$ -exponential type orbitals ( ${\psi ^{(\alpha^{\ast})}}$ -ETOs) with integer (for α * = α) and noninteger self-frictional quantum number α *(for α * ≠ α) in standard convention introduced by the author, the one-range addition theorems for ${\chi }$ -noninteger n Slater type orbitals ${(\chi}$ -NISTOs) are established. These orbitals are defined as follows $$\begin{array}{ll}\psi _{nlm}^{(\alpha^*)} (\zeta ,\vec {r}) = \frac{(2\zeta )^{3/2}}{\Gamma (p_l ^* + 1)} \left[{\frac{\Gamma (q_l ^* + )}{(2n)^{\alpha ^*}(n - l - 1)!}} \right]^{1/2}e^{-\frac{x}{2}}x^{l}_1 F_1 ({-[ {n - l - 1}]; p_l ^* + 1; x})S_{lm} (\theta ,\varphi )\\ \chi _{n^*lm} (\zeta ,\vec {r}) = (2\zeta )^{3/2}\left[ {\Gamma(2n^* + 1)}\right]^{{-1}/2}x^{n^*-1}e^{-\frac{x}{2}}S_{lm}(\theta ,\varphi ),\end{array}$$ where ${x=2\zeta r, 0<\zeta <\infty , p_l ^{\ast}=2l+2-\alpha ^{\ast}, q_l ^{\ast}=n+l+1-\alpha ^{\ast}, -\infty <\alpha ^{\ast} <3 , -\infty <\alpha \leq 2,_1 F_1 }$ is the confluent hypergeometric function and ${S_{lm} (\theta ,\varphi )}$ are the complex or real spherical harmonics. The origin of the ${\psi ^{(\alpha ^{\ast})} }$ -ETOs, therefore, of the one-range addition theorems obtained in this work for ${\chi}$ -NISTOs is the self-frictional potential of the field produced by the particle itself. The obtained formulas can be useful especially in the electronic structure calculations of atoms, molecules and solids when Hartree–Fock–Roothan approximation is employed.  相似文献

I will present the first results from the E864 collaboration on the production of negative kaons and antiprotons in 10% central 11.5 A GeV/c Au+Pb nucleus collisions at the Brookhaven AGS. E864 is a high rate, open geometry spectrometer, capable of measuring particle production in a range of rapidities and transverse momenta at a single setting of the spectrometer magnets. The results are derived from the analysis of over 20 million central interactions collected in the Fall 1994 run. I will report onK ? production in a rapidity range from 1.9<y<2.2 (y cm=1.6) and 25<pT<150 MeV/c, and $\bar p$ production from 1.2<y<2.2 and 50<pT<400 MeV/c. A comparison with previously published results from E878 is presented and the implications for $\bar \Lambda $ production are discussed.  相似文献

The π + π ? balance function in rapidity is computed in a thermal model with resonances. It is found that the correlations from the neutral-resonance decays are important, yielding about a half of the total contribution, which in general consist of resonance and non-resonance parts. The model yields the pionic balance function a few per cent wider that what follows from the recent data for the Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt {s_{NN} } = 130$ .  相似文献

We develop quantum mechanical Dirac ket-bra operator’s integration theory in $\mathfrak{Q}$ -ordering or $\mathfrak{P}$ -ordering to multimode case, where $\mathfrak{Q}$ -ordering means all Qs are to the left of all Ps and $\mathfrak{P}$ -ordering means all Ps are to the left of all Qs. As their applications, we derive $\mathfrak{Q}$ -ordered and $\mathfrak{P}$ -ordered expansion formulas of multimode exponential operator $e^{ - iP_l \Lambda _{lk} Q_k } $ . Application of the new formula in finding new general squeezing operators is demonstrated. The general exponential operator for coordinate representation transformation $\left| {\left. {\left( {_{q_2 }^{q_1 } } \right)} \right\rangle \to } \right|\left. {\left( {_{CD}^{AB} } \right)\left( {_{q_2 }^{q_1 } } \right)} \right\rangle $ is also derived. In this way, much more correpondence relations between classical coordinate transformations and their quantum mechanical images can be revealed.  相似文献
